1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Cotto vs Marquez - Exhibition match on: March 31, 2021, 01:19:31 AM
If this was a real fight then Cotto would be the obvious favorite. He fought as high as middleweight and Marquez fought at welter but never had much success at that weight. His best weight class was lightweight. Cotto is not very tall so it is more of the natural weight difference that is his biggest advantage.

Both guys retired due to injuries and neither really needs the money so it is surprising that they will step into the ring again. These exhibition fights seem to be big trend now. In the last few days we've heard about Oscar de la Hoya and Anderson Silva participating in these types of bouts.
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: March 30, 2021, 11:39:53 PM
We are once again hearing rumors that this fight will happen. According to The Athletic, they are trying to make this fight for June 5th in Abu Dhabi. Top Rank has already reserved that date with their pay-per-view distributor so they are probably really serious about making this fight. June 5th is also the potential date for Lopez vs. Kambosos but I don't think they are too worried about it because they know fans would rather buy the Pacquiao vs. Crawford fight.
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If a project gets too complicated on: March 30, 2021, 10:58:33 PM
Some cryptocurrencies are complicated to understand such as ethereum but they have managed to become popular. With the right amount of education people will understand why the complexities are necessary. There are other projects like Tron and EOS which I feel are unnecessarily complicated because they have these additional things like bandwidth and RAM. I think at some point it can get confusing to newcomers and it will impact their level of adoption.
1724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal created crypto checkout service!! on: March 30, 2021, 08:26:45 PM
Too bad it is only a custodial service. I don't think you can even deposit bitcoin on PayPal yet.I don't really see the point of buying what is supposed to represent bitcoin only to spend it as USD. It is much simpler to just use your USD balance directly and avoid any exchange fees.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Carl Frampton WBO Super-featherweight Title on: March 30, 2021, 01:42:23 AM
This is a good evenly matched fight. The undercard is also interesting because we will see Donnie Nietes resume his career after years of inactivity.

I'm leaning towards Frampton beating out Herring. Herring is an awkward fighter and he will make it an ugly fight. They are both relatively old for the sport and have a lot of wear and tear. I expect Frampton to use his better skillset to win a decision.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who where how much withdrew from no deposit on: March 30, 2021, 01:08:07 AM
That it what happened to me. I played at an online Bitcoin casino (Betstreak, which no longer exists) a few years ago with a free bonus for signing up. Although the wager requirement was 200 and I had only played with the free bonus, I had a lucky streak and had ended up winning almost 1.2 BTC (free bonus was 0.01 BTC). During the payout I suddenly had to perform a KYC. After I did that, I was accused of irregularities with my account and it was closed. They never responded to my support messages again.

That's why I rarely accept these bonuses. You end up putting time and effort into meeting their requirements only to find out that it was a trap all along and they never intended for you to actually every cash out. These deals are just too good to be true much of the time.
1727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? Why? on: March 29, 2021, 09:57:54 PM
I would be upset that my bitcoin didn't have the same purchasing power as before but I would see it as a great opportunity to accumulate more BTC. Something catastrophic would have to happen for the price to go down that low so it is an unlikely scenario. I'm not really obsessed with the price so it would only be a minor inconvenience to me if it did happen.
1728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the official uses of bitcoin other then trading? on: March 29, 2021, 01:38:15 AM
Bitcoin is permissionless so there is nothing that can be considered an 'official' use. People are free to use it however they like. I use it mostly as a currency and also for savings. It can be a store of value but you can also spend it more easily than something like gold. As time goes by people will find more uses and maybe some will go away due to higher fees. For example microtransactions is one thing it isn't used for anymore, at least not on layer 1.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin II on March 27, 2021 on: March 28, 2021, 12:02:11 AM
That was an impressive performance by Whyte. I don't know if having Covid affected Povetkin because he didn't offer any resistance. With Fury and Joshua signing a two fight deal I don't think Whyte will fight for the title anytime soon. Wilder and Ruiz are with PBC so they won't fight him either. His best option right now is Oleksandr Usyk, which is a good fight because we haven't seen Usyk against this level of fighter at heavyweight.
1730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs on Bitcoin? on: March 27, 2021, 09:27:20 PM
I haven't researched too much about Stacks but it sounds really interesting. NFTs is only one possible use case but there are many others.

The current buzz around NFTs is mostly around artwork and gaming, which is probably not what most bitcoiners are interested in. Some of the ideas from colored coins could be taken and implemented on Stacks, like buying and selling real world properties.

Right now everybody's attention is on ethereum so it will be an uphill climb to get people to adopt Stacks instead, but I hope it will be a very successful project.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coin will be bought by new people? on: March 27, 2021, 03:49:06 AM
If they are smart then they will go with Bitcoin. There are a lot of people who will end up buying altcoins because they don't know any better. There are people who buy dogecoin simply because Elon Musk is talking about it or because it's trendy to do so. It's in their best interest to ignore the marketing behind altcoins and do their research so they can see why BTC is their best option.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: March 27, 2021, 02:00:27 AM
I watched some highlights from the press conference and things got heated. The fighters got physically aggressive but to me it just seems like it might be staged to hype the fight.

Regarding the Oscar de la Hoya announcement, I wonder who his opponent will be. He has previously mentioned GGG's name but he will get seriously hurt if that ever happens.
1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it smart to invest in Bitcoin? or in Ethereum? on: March 27, 2021, 01:28:39 AM
Both have performed better than traditional investments in recent years. They are a better investment than gold and most stocks. There is also more risk but not significantly more because volatility isn't as extreme as it used to be and people are smarter about security.
1734  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can I use the Blockchain to store infinity messages? on: March 26, 2021, 01:49:37 AM
I think Bcash used to have something like this called memo.cash. With Bitcoin you can do the same thing but there is a limit to how much arbitrary data can be included in a transaction. Your message will be stored on the blockchain forever but I am not sure why it is necessary to do this. It is not what the Bitcoin blockchain is intended to do and it creates bloat.
1735  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining services on: March 26, 2021, 01:10:45 AM
I hadn't heard of this company before but it seems like they've been around for a few years. It might not be a scam but it is probably better to invest in bitcoin directly because you don't have to wait a long period to be able to recover your investment.

There is not that many legitimate cloud mining providers out there and the reason for this is because there is really no demand due to the unprofitability.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos ordered by IBF on: March 25, 2021, 10:48:19 PM
There's no betting odds yet listed in sportsbook but there's a prediction of odds already, as per this site (https://bettinginsiderjournal.com/boxing/lopez-kambosos-odds/), the odds are listed as follows.

Quote
Lopez vs Kambosos Odds
Boxer   Odds
Teofimo Lopez   -800
George Kambosos   +500

Obviously, you can see how big favorite is Lopez to win this fight.

William Hill is the only place I could find that has odds for this fight and they are very similar. They have it Teofimo Lopez -833 / George Kambosos +450. It is not as much of a mismatch as the odds suggest so I would wait a while if you want to bet on Lopez, but you could potentially make some good money if you really believe in Kambosos.

We have different interpretation of the odds though, for me it's a mismatch as +450 is too underdog... maybe if its just +200, I would say not so mismatch but with the current odds, I guess the bookies are just trying to tell us that Lopez will dominate his opponent.

That's what I was trying to say. It is a mismatch on paper but when they get in the ring I expect Kambosos to win some rounds and make it competitive. I think the odds will move closer because it is not a guarantee that this will be an easy fight. Lopez has had an off night before.

be  careful of all moonfaucets and mellowads also !
They banned me without reason .

nearly 1 year ago i called that they are scammers !

I had my doubts about whether or not Mellow Ads and Coinpot were owned by the same person. Now it has been revealed that forum user 'baztardo' is the person behind both sites even though he had denied this. There is no logical reason to lie about this unless there was something to hide.
1739  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC🏎Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 25, 2021, 04:03:26 AM
hi,i also didnt receive free spin email,i checked spam folder but its not there also, and i am having problems all day your with website, both from pc and from mobile, every time i visit freebitco.in website freezes,i get error message telling me that webpage is not responding and asking me do i want to quit and leave or wait till it start responding,i choose to wait and it is ok after few seconds,it happens every time i reload page, yesterday and all days before everything was ok,i am using chrome, and for free spins email my ID is 184549,can you please check it

I didn't receive a free spin either. This occurs about once or twice a month, but there have been other times where I receive two free spins.

If the website is freezing then it is probably a problem with your PC and not from Freebitco. You should try all the usual troubleshooting steps, e.g. disable extensions, switch to a different browser, etc.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos ordered by IBF on: March 25, 2021, 03:28:27 AM
After over 2 months, finally we already have the schedule of this fight.

I hope this will be the final date and will not postponed or move.
This is the battle of undefeated fighter but per record, Lopez is just in a higher level as he is still hype after beating Loma.

Hopefully we will enjoy this fight.

Yeah right, the date of the fight as mentioned above some post are close with Canelo's fight might be one of those things that promoters will check out.

The situation that cause by this pandemic might affect everything, if there's no interest that much the possibilities
of postponedment of this fight is very possible.

Let see if this will proceed and same as you, also hoping to see and enjoyable fight once everything got settled.

There's no reason the fight will be cancelled, it's even helpful that the fight is near the schedule of Canelo so it could also attract more attention, I guess they are not having a huge target of the PPV revenue, and as long as there's a crowd in this fight, they will make money for sure.

May 29th was also supposed to be the date of the Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield exhibition fight. It appears that they are having trouble with negotiations but if it did get finalized I could see the Lopez vs. Kambosos fight being postponed. There is also another PPV on May 1 from PBC. There is a lot of competition around the same time but it is still going to be difficult for promoters to make up the huge amount of money they bid on this fight regardless of what date it happens.
