1861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH keep breaking record and what happened to BCH? on: February 12, 2021, 01:35:19 AM
BCH never stood a chance. It's just basically been Roger Ver keeping it propped up. The big players that are coming into cryptocurrency could care less about Bcash. Even Dogecoin has surpassed it's market cap a few times these past weeks. The Bcash community has torn itself apart and now they just wander around aimlessly until their next big implosion.
1862  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can hit $50k? on: February 12, 2021, 01:28:10 AM
We are almost at $50k. The Tesla news has been really bullish and we saw a big rise since then. As we see more supply being taken off of centralized exchanges it is inevitable that the price will explode. If a big company like Tesla is holding Bitcoin, I expect that more companies will follow in their footsteps.
1863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk said he bought Dogecoin on: February 12, 2021, 12:27:50 AM
He said he bought it for his son who is a baby. It doesn't show that he is too serious about this coin. He is just playing around and having fun with this Dogecoin meme. You wouldn't give a child BTC because it is too valuable, but Dogecoin is useful for introducing people to how cryptocurrency works.
1864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ACCIDENTALLY SENT MY BINANCE USDT TO ABRA'S BTC on: February 11, 2021, 01:26:44 AM
I was looking through Abra's website and apparently they have transitioned to become a custodial wallet. They are using Bittrex as their custodian.

The seed phrase they give you only allows you to recover access to your custodial account but I do not believe it is used for generating deposit addresses.

You can read this article for more information: https://support.abra.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040834752-Native-Coin-Migration
1865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FreeWallet locked even Elon Musk. I still don't trust them. on: February 10, 2021, 10:07:09 PM
We've resolved Elon's issue within a few minutes.
Please feel free to check out Freewallet official Twitter.

Unless you provided him with his private keys I don't think you did.

How come he didn’t know about private keys? But anyway Freewallet is humiliated by this lol, there are pretty good Bitcoin wallet I wonder how he landed on Freewallet with a low rating and not so good in terms of feedback. Maybe its the first BTC of Elon got locked up.

He was probably annoyed they were trying to promote their service using his name and wanted to embarrass them. FreeWallet doesn't have the best reputation so it is really good of him to promote using non-custodial wallets.
1866  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: February 10, 2021, 08:49:36 PM
They recently reduced the minimum investment amount which is nice to see. We can also now exchange smaller amounts of coins. Maybe now we will see more people investing in the bankroll. I will start opening up some small investments myself to try and recover from my losses. We have seen a big increase in players recently and this could lead to a rise in profits potentially.
1867  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 10, 2021, 08:38:24 PM
The restriction of not being able to withdraw fun token as far as I know is the biggest problem right now, not the free spin that will give you 50 satoshi per day, that is as useless as it gets. I love freebitcoin and they are the best site ever but this type of thing that overreaches to grab more money and power is the reason why websites slowly die and become worthless.

Yahoo.com used to be the biggest website in the world, they worth nothing now, that should be a cautionary tale for all websites because if you move towards what the owner want instead of moving towards what the users want, eventually users will move towards something that improves whatever users want. Freebitcoin is not too big to fail, if they do not stop this type of movement and focus on what customers need, they are not going to stay forever, sure they will be around for a very long time but will eventually end if they keep ignoring users.

By the way, just to inform that the free spin also lowers a bit their free satoshis, like previously if you get 50 sats, now you will get 47 sats. So the 500sats previously will be 470 sats now and so with 5k sats > 4700 sats. Is that because of the high price of btc in the market? Anyway, that's free spin.

It would be nice if they could update the prize chart. It is still showing 50, 500, and 5000 sats as the available prizes. Today I received 50 reward points from the wheel of fortune so the reduction only seems to affect BTC prizes.
1868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I messed up and feel terrible about it on: February 10, 2021, 02:02:47 AM
This has happened to many of us and it is nothing to feel bad about. I am still trying to earn back all the BTC that I have spent in the past. I am nowhere close to recovering what I have lost.

I would recommend saving your signature campaign earnings and maybe buying in small quantities so you can keep accumulating. 0.03 is not such a big amount that you won't be able to recover.
1869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Eth able to break its previous ATH within few days? on: February 10, 2021, 12:23:22 AM
It wouldn't be unexpected if it did reach a new ATH. There's been a lot of profit made with Bitcoin recently and people might want to diversify or experiment with something new. If Bitcoin keeps going up, ETH could go up alongside it.
1870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Windows wallet or regular wallet? on: February 10, 2021, 12:04:09 AM
You're probably not going to make a lot of money from campaigns unless you do them for a long time. It should be safe enough for small amounts to use a desktop wallet. For altcoins I have used Metamask in the past but now I'm in a campaign that pays in BTC and I use Wasabi Wallet.
1871  Economy / Gambling / Re: Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: February 09, 2021, 10:02:36 PM
stats for last 7 days

btc +0.2935%
doge +0.3704%
ltc -(0.8710%)
Can't believe LTC is still in a big minus even after all the drops in the commissions and everything done to keep LTC higher and profitable it is still not doing so. Is there a person who figured out how to hack just only the LTC side of the website Cheesy.

Of course, I am joking because I am pretty sure you can't just gamble and hack into one currency while failing to hack into other currencies (probably right?) I just wanted to talk about how unlucky LTC investors are, not like btc and doge are doing awesome neither but they are still not as bad as LTC, that is really top of the cake, hell even with all these increases the loss could still be far greater if you go back enough, there are people who lost more than half of their LTC here so I am pretty sure even with higher prices they are still pretty far behind on the profit side of things. Unlucky man, it just happens, it is gambling.

Litecoin has recovered about half of the 333 LTC loss from last week. With the commission taken I'm still have losses of over 4% from my recent investments. Overall this is the only coin I have earned profit from because I wasn't invested in LTC the other times the site lost thousands of Litecoin in a day.
1872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Games - Provably Fair - ELI5 please? on: February 09, 2021, 01:46:18 AM
I dont want to blast any dice site, This seems sketchy to me.
Below is a chart of my balance after each bet.
I changed my client seed/server seed about every 50 bets.
That is a bot, about 1000 bets/hour.

To me, Blue looks normal or random, Red does not.
Red is about 3000 bets.

(I have all the server/client seed nonce info for each bet)

Anyone want to share their thoughts?

There is not a lot of information to go by in this screenshot. Depending on the strategy you were using it is entirely possible to produce these results. If you have client/server seeds and nonce then you can use a third party verifier to see if the results match the same results displayed by the casino.

Thanks everyone.  I will read the links.

So, in theory, If you are playing a strategy  (exactly the same without deviation) that the site can figure out,  The site "COULD" generate a bunch of games until they see results that would cause you to loose-- IF you keep betting your strategy?

This seems like what is happening, I just did not think it was possible.

They would need to have a really flawed provably fair system if they were able to manipulate the results against you. The only scenarios where I see this being a possibility is if you used the default client seed or you re-used a client seed when the server seed was changed.
1873  Other / Meta / Re: This shitty Merit System has ruined Bitcointalk and made it like Facebook on: February 09, 2021, 01:03:46 AM
Once Bitcoin started becoming popular the amount of people joining this forum started to increase exponentially. It was expected that the quality would see some decline because not everyone is a tech or finance nerd and is interested in the technical aspects of BTC. The quality of posts was already going downhill, the merit system isn't a perfect solution but it's a whole lot better than allowing any random person to easily rank up and spam the hell out of the forum.
1874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Games - Provably Fair - ELI5 please? on: February 08, 2021, 10:06:20 PM
The client seed is not kept secret. The casino has to know this in order to generate a result.

You have control over the client seed in order to make it fair.
1875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Issue to pay an address on: February 08, 2021, 09:56:34 PM
hello,

thanks for your comments.
Yes i contacted them again, they confirmed the same address.
No i do not think there is extra character (like a space) at the end, i did it several times, tried to type it also instead of copy pasting.
The address is: 1pX8coEJV5F6Qa6t9ihXj9P9yGh99SxiM

let me know if you think of something Smiley
Maybe i'll ask the seller to re-issue a fresh one ? (i guess they can)

It is not a valid address. I get the same issue if I paste it into a wallet. Just ask for a new address.
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Miguel Berchelt vs Oscar Valdez WBC Super-Featherweight Title on: February 08, 2021, 12:22:04 AM
This fight is going to be an all out war for however long it lasts. Berchelt has lost by knockout before but it was a long time ago. Valdez does not really have much defense and his chin is kind of questionable. I favor Berchelt because he is a better rounded fighter and has a high knockout percentage.
1877  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 06, 2021, 11:20:18 PM
I looked at WOF spins primarily, as that's what I see as the biggest perk of the program. The extra interest doesn't amount to much by comparison.  Here's what I calculated:

At 5000 Fun tokens, the cost is currently 500k sats (it was more when I did my initial calcs too).  After a month you get 3 extra WOF spins and it scales up to 6 daily WOF spins after a year. For the sake of simplicity, I'm just going to calculate 6 extra WOF spins from the start.  WOF spins are generally worth 50 sats.  Either you get 50 sats or 50 rp which given enough time you can convert to 50 sats if you make it to 100k rp.  Sometimes you get more sats on a spin, but sometimes you get lottery tickets too which in all likelihood translate to 0.  So expecting 50 sats per spin is reasonable and I would say necessary when you're calculating time to recover investment.

At 6 extra spins a day, you're looking at 300 sats as the extra perk.  On a 500k sat investment cost, that's 1667 days, or 4.56 years.  And that's only if FUN holds the value you bought it at.  Taken that as a given, it's not a compelling investment given the risks.  I think you can get more perks at much higher investment costs, but honestly, that's even more risky in my view, so I calculated on what seemed like a reasonable test tier.

Happy to hear any input on where you think I've made an error in logic or if I'm missing something about the program.

You are assuming that the odds of winning 5000 sats are 0% but it is above 1%. At 6 spins per day you should win 5000 sats more than 20 times in a year. That's 100k sats and 100k reward points in a year. There will also be smaller prizes that could give you another 100k sats and 100k reward points per year. Plus, you'd also be getting interest on sats you otherwise wouldn't have.

Thanks for this link, I saw the FUN token in Binance it showed a good increase in the price, I guess the early investors will surely gain profit for this investment. I'm just asking this because maybe there will be a chance that the token will list on a decentralized exchange? Are there a social media where we can follow any of those announcements?

It is already listed on decentralized exchanges.

1878  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your favourite sport and why? on: February 06, 2021, 05:14:35 AM
My dad used to watch a lot of boxing and eventually I really started to love the sport. I don't care much about the politics but it really is fascinating to watch two individuals with different styles and from different backgrounds face each other to determine who is superior.
1879  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Quick help needed: anybody has a German phone number? on: February 06, 2021, 03:26:56 AM
There was somebody on this forum offering this service.

Starting today, you are able to receive SMS online with our Germany (DE)  phone numbers.

Whether you live in Germany or elsewhere, but you need a private disposable mobile phone number from Germany (DE) to receive SMS verification code online with German phone number.

Are you outside of Germany but need access to a temporary German mobile phone number with the country code of +49 to receive SMS verification codes online?

i have been tracking mine. here are the results from when i started logging things to see how it is going

date            btc                chg           doge             chg            ltc                 chg
01/19/21   (7.1128%)   -----          (16.2088%)   -----               (82.9612%)         -----
01/25/21   (8.5672%)     (1.4544%)   (19.2346%)   (3.0258%)    (82.8353%)      0.1259%
02/01/21   (8.0358%)       0.5314%   (18.4069%)   0.8277%       (82.4062%)      0.4291%

so i am way behind but i am hopeful to catch up. the ones in () are negative, so i am currently at -8.0358% on btc, -18.4069% on doge, and -82.4062 on my ltc invest

I don't think long term litecoin investors are ever going to reach profitability unless you can invest a lot more LTC to make up for your losses. There was few weeks where it was looking good and then somebody won 333 Litecoin. I've opened up investments here and there but it seems like most of the time I'm in the red.
