2361  Economy / Economics / Re: Unemplyment at least 50% how world will look like then ? on: July 05, 2022, 08:51:02 PM
Is there a source of USA having a 50% unemployment rate because it's really high. If we hypothetically think that the unemployment rate is 50% the basic necessities will go high that will make surviving so hard. Being unemployed doesn't mean they have no income, I've seen unemployed person hustling and getting much more money than I am regularly making. There are things that you can do in internet to make a money but the government can't know you are earning unless you tell the government like using crypto to earn profits.
2362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: July 05, 2022, 07:47:35 PM
It's not an ideal thing to do in order to purchase some bitcoins. Bitcoin is a volatile asset, if you loan now there's a good chance that bitcoin can go on more lower prices on a short term that can make your loan a headache. Most of us expect bitcoin will rise again but it will take years before it enters bull market again so Investing on crypto should be done using your own money that you can afford to lose because on how much volatile crypto market are.

There's a great risk but also there a good chance you can take advantage such as reducing tax and also profiting out in your loan as long as responsible on paying it. But my personal take is not to loan for the means of purchasing some crypto.
2363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker claims to have stolen 1 B records of Chinese citizens, demands 10 BTC on: July 05, 2022, 07:02:44 PM
In my own opinion, 10btc is small compared to the number of compromised data. The hacker can use mixing tools around the internet to launder all of that and spread it out to different addresses. I don't know if there's a analytic technology that can counter the mixing tool. There would be a change that the hacker would be caught before the Chinese government pay that hacker. The country where am I living experienced such situation that the registered voters information is leaked, Thankfully the hacker was caught before asking for any ransom or reward, we do have much smaller technology offerings compared to china that's why I think Chinese government will resolve this without paying the demand of the hacker. One awful thing that could possibly happen is if the hacker leaked the database to deepweb, It could greatly affects the victims and the government integrity.

But then again, hindi ko talaga irerecommenda.

So far pinag iisipan ko nalang na mag take ng bank loan at icollateral yung mismong bussiness lot namin at isave nalang yung crypto as future investment.
I also don't think na good move i-colateral ang volatile assets like BTC. As far as I know meron din loan crypto loan feature ang binance pero hindi ko sure if pwede mo ito ma withdraw without making any trades.

Pero if desidido ka mag loan using crypto, Pwede mo naman ioffer ang btc mo as collateral if mag P2P loan ka dito sa forum or mag take ng offers na btc collateral. But I suggest na mas ok yung business lot niyo nalang.
2365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better than DCA is DCAing when fear is high on: July 05, 2022, 04:55:21 PM
There's nothing wrong with waiting for the bitcoin price to drop and you start buying when the price is what you expected, but I don't think DCA is a bad thing either. Someone who has previously implemented the DCA strategy from $60K to $20K may find it useless as the price drops below $18K. But I don't think they're losing now just because bitcoin is $20K, they're not selling now but they're collecting as much as they can and targeting long term gains.

What's wrong in my opinion is that when they do nothing during this bear market, it's much worse than what people who take advantage of the opportunities in the market do. While these people keep talking about bitcoin having potential, they never buy or own it.

Yes you are right in some part but then I don't recommend DCA to new people in trading, some people just do DCA just like what others are doing they just copying it, traders need to see and examine the chart first before doing anythig, dca is good for trading and not for future trading. And yes doing nothing at all this bear market is absolutely worth to regret with.
Following a strategy blindly is never a good idea, after all dollar cost averaging like any strategy has some downsides, and one of them is when you buy a coin that is going down in price for the first time and then the coin keeps going down in value after you bought it, by buying the new lows you are getting at better and better prices but your unrealized losses keep growing and growing, and this can be incredibly difficult to deal with if you are a new trader.
True, It would be hard for newbie trader to keep up following it's unrealized losses especially if the newbie trader has a not that big capital to support his dca strategy. Our bear market is pretty long and the more the higher your starting point of your DCA is, The longer the unrealize profit will come. DCA is effective, it's just the newbie trader should put a lot of time finding the target market price the trader will buy and be active whenever a big chart movement is happening.
2366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 04, 2022, 07:02:49 PM
After this experience I believe gambling is for the big bag holders, if you're in urge of making a win.

Gambling is not only for those people you've said. It depends on luck no matter how much money you have. There are others who only have small amount of money but still able to win a huge prize or even hit the jackpot.

Martingale once again a failed strategy when you don't have big bag of money.

Did you expect that using that strategy is a sure profit? If I have a huge amount of money, that is the strategy I will never use. It's like burying yourself into your own grave everytime you lose.
I agree - gambling is for lucky people. Be it rich or the poor. Many rich people are losers in gambling and many poor people are lucky in gambling and in a jiffy they become rich.
However the world revolves around the rich - they have good life while the poor person keeps on thinking how to get the basics fulfilled.
There are a lot of factors in winning gambling, Luck is one of them. Whether they are poor or rich as long as they are ready to gamble with the luck, good preparation, proper capital and stable emotion, They can win. The one that separates the rich and poor in gambling is the capital allowance and the mental state they are in. This is why poor people should balanced out their capital depending on their strategy to win the game. I think poor people shouldn't really take the risk of gambling because it can severely reduce their survivability and their current mental health.
2367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for who are witnessing this market for the first time. on: July 04, 2022, 05:38:48 PM
Don't panic when we experience massive downfall prices, Take it as an opportunity to buy or to make profit from the market. This is were I failed to do last bear market, Getting myself down because of the bear market makes me lose the big opportunity that other people take. If you came from the recent bull market, It would be nice if you stored some stable coin or fiat to fuel your future crypto purchases. Buying on the dip would be a very good move especially if those reaches a massive support, Being ready of having a fund would make it easy for you to make a purchase.

Just be knowledgeable about crypto, have a funds to fuel up your crypto purchase, take advantage of the worst scenarios. and accumulate as much as you can.
2368  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: July 04, 2022, 04:38:07 PM
Yep that's the fact. Yung mga knowledgable like us is tinatake advantage natin ang bear market to accumulate and hodl para pag dating ng araw is may profit tayo na magagain. They should learn to take opportunities though they should learn how crypto works first.
2369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mr Beast makes joke about Bitcoin in new video on: July 03, 2022, 10:19:36 PM
Mr Beast makes a joke about Bitcoin in new video. You can see it around the five minute mark in the below link. It’s a lighthearted joke but it still hurts. Lol. Remember it wasn’t too long ago Mr Beast was doing a video with Coinbase and giving away Bitcoin to his fans. Enjoy!

Mr Beast - I DIDNT EAT FOOD FOR 30 DAYS
https://youtu.be/vaIgyRoUkQI
I just watched Mr Beast newly upload video yesterday. Not eating for 14 days is an absolutely hard challenge to do and addition to that is his friends making him eat just to shave his head. But Honestly the joke made in bitcoin make me do a light laugh. I don't see him mocking bitcoin but I see him understand the current market scenario. I know he had some crypto and few NFT in his portfolio but I don't know what or how much he have and I think it wouldn't hurt him if his portfolio go downslide since he can made ton of money on his multiple youtube channels.
2370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educate my community here in Subdivision about Bitcoin on: July 03, 2022, 09:06:11 PM
It would be good if you started some normal conversation with your neighbors so you can be open with topics that they aren't mentioning such as bitcoin or crypto, There might be a chance that they know bitcoin and crypto and they want to have conversations about it. Just mentioning bitcoin and crypto to your casual conversation is good enough, They might have heard it somewhere or interested in learning it. It will be more easy for you to teach if they are being curious about it, They will be the one that will make you continue the topic and ask questions about it. I did help my friends in learning about bitcoin by just triggering their curiosity, Trust me it works.
2371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you be in favor of Gold or Bitcoin !! on: July 03, 2022, 08:42:06 PM
It's not right to compare bitcoin to gold or even other things that is on the same page. They do have different uses and purpose that's why they aren't comparable. Bitcoin have such volatility more than others and gold isn't that much volatile. I'll most likely use gold for "stability" or for saving purposes and bitcoin for it's utility and profit making since it's more volatile. Much more, I only have bitcoin now and doesn't have gold. So you know my motive.
2372  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: July 03, 2022, 07:52:07 PM

Lesson learned ko last bear market is wala akong ibang source of income kaya naubos paunti unti yung holdings ko that time. This time, I'll make it right.

I turned $200 to $85k a few months ago but I had to pay that money for something urgent came up suddenly.
It will be more easy to find a job to local area and fund yourself, You did something amazing here with just $200 capital. I know you're pretty confident with your trading skills but it's not that easy to find someone who will partner up with you. You can go to job offering website and find your potential partner/client. It will be also nice if you post some snippet of your highest winnings on trading to give credit to yourself and boost the confidence of your potential clients here.

You have a friend that has spare monitor? or you can borrow, You can try it to use it just for the sake of recovering.  That is the 2nd option I think is to use sata reader and to read your hard drive on other computer. You will have a chance to check all of your drives on different computers. It would be much more easy to do since you just need to plug out your drives.
If I am unable to access the wallet on my repaired phone, then I might look into those drives for keys.
Ohh I see, I thought you have your wallet last access on your broken phone. Does it as for additional verification for security? Searching your data from your SATA drive now will be your best option. We just hope that your keys is in your drive or else it's a loss of effort.

There are a very cheap precision screwdriver out there, I can find one for just $3.15 usd in my marketplace or you try to borrow some. But yeah I agree just bring it to repair shop. I suggest you just bring your old phone now into a repair shop before using sata reader if you don't have it right now. Repairing it would not cost more than $10 since charging port is cheap and it's just a basic soldering that will happen.
I bought one for 3 dollars. I will get it soon.
Like BitMaxz's pointed out, I wouldn't have to solder any parts if I replace the charging board(and this is what every repair shop will probably do since it works+they can charge extra+more reasonable). From the videos, it's very much like replacing RAM. It's available for like 7 dollars online.
This way I won't have to worry about giving my phone to some stranger either  Cheesy
That's nice that it work according to your plan on doing it with precision screw driver. Oh, That's more easy on what I think the way to fix your charging port. I have mine repaired before and the technician soldered it and I saw him soldered it so I think that's the only way. Your method is much more efficient since you don't need to worry about stranger.
2377  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Report: PH ranks 2nd in ‘ownership of cryptocurrency’ on: July 02, 2022, 10:35:21 AM

That's nice! Matagal na pala tong sa Unionbank. Last 2020 pa pala  yung seminar nila about blockchain, Di pako nakakapag enroll since ngayon ko lang nakita. Worth it ba yung pag enroll? I know it's free pero baka about basic blockchain lesson lang yung laman and most likely we know about it. If ever good to I think I can recommend it to my friends.
2379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Manage Gambling Addiction an Open Discussion. on: July 01, 2022, 09:57:48 PM
Divert yourself into other activities and if you do find out that you cant do it alone then this is the time you would really seek out for help from your loved ones or friends which would really make yourself
divert out if you are really that serious on quitting gambling for good or on the time you do realize that you had found yourself to be that addicted already on gambling. Once addiction do shackles you on
then you would really be having a hard time on getting out from it thats why you should really be that sensible and be aware on what are the actions you are taking. Play on the amount you can afford to lose and dont make gambling to be your main source of income because you cant really able to do so and thats how reality works.
I've been an gambling addict before and diverting into other things made me slow down doing gambling and focus on more important things. I've entered many hobbies with the intention to avoid gambling and divert my time into focusing in these things that made me happy on things I achieved with these hobbies. Today, I'm proud that I can avoid playing gambling when I think I need to stop, I can control myself from temptation of playing a lot and I improved my relationship in real life given that I spend more time with them and lessen their stress knowing that I'm a gambling addict before. I'm glad that I didn't resort to consulting into professionals just to make me control my gambling addiction. I'm still playing gambling from time to time now but I can fully control it.
Everything would be in self acceptance and willingness on stopping gambling addiction then nothing is impossible. It is really just depending on self acceptance and willingness on changing yourself for good.
Nothing is impossible if you are really that dedicative on quitting and go for the better good or something you do seem to be worth which is to quit gambling and fix your financial  situation yet we know that addiction could really give or make big destruction in terms of finances if it wasnt able to stop it early or it do becomes severe. Quitting addiction might easy to be said but its not really that
something simple that could really be done by someone when they are on the actual situation.

That's right it's the willingness to stop things will make you stop but I tell you it's harder on what you think if you're an addict. If you have gambling addiction there will be some urge or lust that will make you play and play again that's why stopping it entirely will not make a good improvement for other gamblers.  This is why I still play gambling now because of that urge but the most thing I can do now is to control my self in playing more what I can do. As of now I'm just a normal gambler that can play, stop and resist the urge to spend time playing more.  There should also things that could make you stop either your relatives that will help you to stop, your dream or things you like to do. All you need to do is to have willingness and the little push that other things gives you.
2380  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com issue on: July 01, 2022, 09:43:56 PM

I tried logging into blockchain app on my backup phone(which I have been using after my primary phone went dead). On it, I am taken to a recovery page after entering my password. Either I have to provide my 12-code security key or reset my wallet. It's a 8 year old wallet, I don't even remember where I kept my recovery code lol
I am booting my childhood PC(after I fix it), maybe it has the keys. Maybe it doesn't.
Is there any update on your childhood PC? If you have old notes you make sure to check them, It's one of the old way of storing security codes.
it has a VGA port. I can't connect it to my IPS monitor. I will either have to buy SATA drive reader for my laptop or something like VGA to HDMI. I can't afford either rn for a wallet with no balance lol

My other PC is without a GPU(because I sold it recently to cover other expenses and planned to purchase 4000 series later this year by saving up). And it has AMD CPU, so no output without GPU lol

So I got my old CPU with intel duo core that works without GPU, but it has VGA port. Got another CPU, with 5800x but no GPU lol
My life is definitely directed by Coen brothers.

Quote
Just be careful on doing that process, It might brick your board if failed to do it correctly. It would be more easy to let a technician repair the port, The technician would likely solder a new port into it and it will take less time. Just make sure you watch the technician in repairing it for your wallets security.
I watched a few disassembly videos. It's a very easy process. Requires a precision screwdriver tho. Which I don't have rn. I just want to charge the battery externally and put it back. But buying a screwdriver for a single-use, when it will still get repaired later on doesn't sound like a good decision(financially). So yea will drop it off at a good repair shop.

This all makes me sound like a cheapskate lol
Hard times.

There are a very cheap precision screwdriver out there, I can find one for just $3.15 usd in my marketplace or you try to borrow some. But yeah I agree just bring it to repair shop.
