So Much FUD.
Soul-eater are you the thief?  Sound like your really mad the thieves wont get to keep the stolen coins.  And I suspect who ever did it would be here watching and participating on some level.

I wish:)

2) It is therefore a community decision to halt trading until devs come up with a solution. It's not a single and isolated devs move

That's a bullshit definition of a community decision.  It was decided by Mintpal and dictated to the VRC development team.  The other exchanges had little choice but to follow.  The community had zero choice.

Quote
3) The problem was related to the withdrawal door at MP and there was a single transaction moving the 8M coins. This means that the coins were transferred to a single wallet and can be perfectly and easily followed up

Yes

Quote
4) The hardfork that will be created by devs will most likely isolate that single transaction and all the transaction subtree that followed. But it will probably leave intact all other transactions, whether they happened before of after the theft
No that's not how it works unless they go in and completely alter the blockchain which is even more disturbing.

Quote
5) The exchanges will reimburse people who lost money transacting with the thieves (if there was any transaction at all)

You mean Mintpal? No they won't - we wouldn't need a hardfork if they did this.

Quote
6) As a result, the whole community will be secured and the single transaction that will suffer is the one where the coins are stolen
I believe VRC is going stronger after this.

Keep sticking your tongue up Mintpal's arse.  This is a case of destroying Vericoin to save Mintpal and nothing less.  Stop being a mindless shill.

Guys it is suicide to roll back because of Mintpal.  Mintpal should be made to pay for the losses.  No exchange should have the ability to force a hardfork in a coin because of their failure.  This will ruin the credibility of Vericoin purely to save Mintpal.  Mintpal is a vicious cancer to the community and this just proves it.

bro, BRITcoin is wayyyy past the point of panic selling.

...you guys are now on the bottom of the totem pole aka Bag-Holding.

He talks of panic selling, yet he talks with an air of desperation.  He seems to be panic posting.  If he really thought this coin was over there would be no need for him to post here anymore.

I asked my friend if he could make a marketplace for us. Hopefully he does. He is great at that kind of stuff. I will let you know what he says.

Fantastic, thanks.

One really big thing that would help, would be some sort of marketplace that only accepted Britcoin as payment.  It would probably be pretty easy for someone who knows about such things to set one up for minimal cost.  I would do it myself if I had the experience.  I think I have previously linked to someone who has successfully produced a Kickstarter type campaign to do this for Scotcoin.

In addition some of us could pool some of our funds to buy some crypto mining hardware wholesale and sell it in such a marketplace to help get the ball rolling, get more interest initially in the crypto community (for a start before more general attention).  For example lower end ASICs, riser cards and the like which are actually not so easy to get hold of at reasonable prices in the UK/Europe.

Another useful thing would be the ability to buy Britcoin directly from the wallet using Bitcoins or fiat.  For the fiat side of things this could be handled by an exchange such as Cryptsy or C-Cex that do dollar/crypto conversions.

Also if everyone keeps asking Bittylicious to support direct buying of Britcoins they will eventually add them.

no actually im not trolling. Im trying to do the opposite. If you would read my previous posts you'd realize that I was trying to get people to jump shit on this deadcoin.

But some people just cant be helped.

He's doing people a service.

LMFAO Cheesy

Understatement of the century.  This guy is so pathetic that he passes his time trolling on a forum for an alt-coin which he thinks is worthless and has no future.  So sad that people's lives are so pointless that this is the only way they can get off.

We have been added to the MintPal voting list.  If you'd like to see BritCoin traded on MintPal, please vote for us here;

https://www.mintpal.com/voting#BRIT

I don't think that's a good idea.  It's far too early for BRITcoin to be on Mintpal.

I agree, we will have more control over which (more profitable) coins are mined, also some people find CoinKing quite confusing on first use, I sure did. Smiley

Might be useful to have a guide (with a link in the OP) to explain step by step how to get mining on CoinKing.

Great news. When it is up I will mine in there.

No definite time yet.  They said at least 24 hrs but I'm still not sure if I'll need to do any tinkering with it/need any assistance.  That's why I'm happy CoinKing is working - means there's no rush.  Their interface and setup is really easy to use and I've already got my miners on there until my pool gets setup.

Assuming I get the Livechains thing working well we could consider changing the coin list/algos to varieties that Coinking don't currently have so that it would be an adjunct rather than an alternative (e.g. CPU coins like memory coin, cryptonite coins etc).

OH SH**!  I wasn't paying attention.  It's at no. 10 now!  I think we should just vote for every other coin that's near it.  If I find the moron who's doing this.....

Don't worry about it, it will go away eventually. Let's get voting for the others!

I've set a stopwatch on my computer so that whenever I'm there I can vote every hour.  It's a lot easier than trying to remember the time.

Yes, if at all possible. There has been no response to our request yet to take MNR voting down. I'll try to track them down on this forum and contact them directly.

It is possible this is a deliberate attempt to sabotage Mjollnircoin; The vote count has rapidly increased since we started discussing this and it is obvious that MNR does not have the Volume required to sustain itself at MintPal. Your character profiling may be correct.

But as you know, Exchange platforms can list any coin they like for the Market; Like said before, MintPal should not be interested in a low volume coin as MNR is now.
When MNR does get the Volume, Exchanges will be quick to add it to the Market simply because they do not want to miss a piece of the pie.

We have been accepted to Bittrex through a GiveAway, while true we did buy votes for (the now late) CryptoAltTex we have since not payed for any exchange related service.

I've tried them (Mintpal) and they never respond.  I don't think theres much more we can really do except hope that MNR doesn't get on.  On a more positive note whilst investigating multipools for another coin I'm into (BRIT) - I've found a potential Multipool which we can get running for not very much cost (assuming people want the coin to go POS only).  Will test it out on BRIT and see how it goes.  Have lost a lot on coins lately but if I can make some money back in the next few weeks I could use some BTC to give it a try with Mjollnir, maybe? I have no idea how to run a pool so might be a total failure.

Well, technically we can always vote for the other coins to keep them ahead of us Smiley

Didn't think of that.  Obviously make it a coin that has a decent chance.  We don't want to kill someone else's coin.

Hey guys!

We have just added GB Coin to Cryptonator so now you can use all its free features

Fantastic. Thank you:)

Hello
I would like to start mine MNR on http://mnr.1gh.com/

Which rig from this site: https://www.betarigs.com/ is proper for this coin?

Any of the GPU mining rigs will work - ignore the ASICs.  The faster the GPU the more hashes you will get with MNR.  If you are only renting you will need to make sure that the people who are running it for you set it up right to mine mjollnircoin (see the settings at the start of this thread).

In alternative pool news: - Livechains were waiting for me to supply them with a full list of 10 coins - which I've done now.  They have told me it usually takes another 24 hours or so to get setup.  Obviously if it all works all right and I can bring in enough in fees to pay the server charges we could add more coins later.  Contrary to what I thought the Livechains pools do actually do profit switching automatically, so for example you choose the algorithm and they switch to the more profitable coin.  I've chosen these for the final list :

Bitcoin (SHA-256)
Fuelcoin(SHA-256)
Darkcoin (X11)
Global Denomination Coin (X11)
CryptCoin (X11)
Hirocoin (X11)
Litecoin (SCRYPT)
Vertcoin (SCRYPT-N)
Dirac (BLAKE 256)
N5coin (NIST5)

I went for more X11 coins due to it being summer and people (myself included) seeming to prefer the lower heat output nowadays.  The difference in profitablility of SCRYPT coins was so small that I thought it best to just go with LTC initially which seems most consistent over time and the differences between coins are very small in terms of profit.  Similarly the rarer algorithms are also there more as a test.  Like I said if it all works right and I can afford it we can add in more according to what is profitable.

We should have a multipool up tonight, if not tomorrow courtesy of CoinKing.

Stay tuned! Smiley

I had a feeling it was going to be them.  I saw the coin listed there in a drop down after PoW ended.

Yes it's probably best to go with them for now because they know what they are doing.  We can keep Livechains in reserve or as an experiment because I still haven't heard back from them which might be because they are having issues (e.g. due to BRIT not being on Cryptsy).  Right now actually having a pool running is more important than which one it is or who is running it:)

No I mean Livechains.  I think their support is US based because they were still responding to me at 9-10 pm last night but not since.  Could just be that they are busy though.
