Haha, it's ok I haven't paid for it yet. Cheesy  Waiting to see how your one turns out first..  But I haven't heard anything positive back from Cryptsy, just that they will review the situation.

Well I have told them it needs to payout in BRIT - haven't heard back from them yet because I think they are in the US.

Multipool should be up and running either today or tomorrow, I've managed to scrape enough BTC together (big thanks to the donors) to meet a multipool's setup fee, so if Cryptsy don't add us soon, we have a plan B. Smiley

Keep promoting BritCoin.. And don't forget to take part in our twitter competition, details in my signature. Smiley

ok, well hopefully things get up and running soon

Let's just see if we can get the one I started going and if it works first.  Hopefully you can get a refund if it does?  It probably wouldn't be worth paying for 2 multipools until we have more miners on board (and I suspect you paid considerably more for yours than I did for mine).  That BTC might be better spent on something else.

For Scrypt (and keeping to the bigger names), it's Goldcoin, Dogecoin, Feathercoin, Digitalcoin.

I did look at some of these.  The problem with these alternative coins to LTC for Scrypt is that they tend to have way more variation in profitability.  Each one has spent hours or even days at the top, followed by days near the bottom etc.  Whilst LTC is rarely the most profitable it maintains a much more stable position and the differences in profitablity between it and the top scrypt coin (for anything more than a few minutes) is pretty small.  We also know that there is no chance of it switching to POW any time soon.

Ahh ok, i would guess that the pool has a wallet for each coin, sells what ever you mine directly to Cryptsy for btc and then buys BRIT with the btc and sends it back to the pool. Makes sense

Yes it uses the autoselling feature of Cryptsy (which is what the other MPs use).
2385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BritCoin] x13 PoW+PoS Hybrid with no IPO - Roadmap White-Paper Published [BRIT] on: July 11, 2014, 09:08:26 AM
So how will the multipool work exactly? ive been following it but not understanding

So you mine on the pool and get paid in BRIT
where do the BRIT coins come from for people to get paid in them?

They come from Cryptsy.  Hence why Will7am is talking to them about getting listed.  You choose the coin/alogrithm you wan to mine and then receive payment in BRIT.  To know the specifics we'll have to wait until they've set it up for me.  That's the problem about not knowing enough about pool servers.

Zetacoin and Unobtainium are typically the two most profitable SHA-256 coins to mine. It's been that way for long months.

For Scrypt (and keeping to the bigger names), it's Goldcoin, Dogecoin, Feathercoin, Digitalcoin.

For X11 it's more difficult to nominate candidates, as most transition to proof-of-stake fairly quickly.

I've been checking the charts on Coinwarz and the most consistent seems to be Bitcoin rather than Zeta and Uno.  Fuelcoin has consistently beaten them all although it's not on Coinwarz - let's just get the pool running and see.  If necessary we can add more coins later.

If I am able to exchange URO for Urea... can I also send a jar of piss to this company and be credited URO?  Does the exchange rate work in both directions?

No because piss is not urea.  That's like asking if you can exchange your blood for a lump of iron.

Great! Smiley  I'm gonna have an early night and get some sleep, so I'll catch up with you tomorrow.

Thanks for everything mate, you're a top lad Smiley

There's no rush now that we at least have some kind of plan in place.  I would advise everyone to go and buy up as much BRIT as they can because it's not going to stay this cheap forever.  I've already exhausted my BTC - just wish I had more.  I recently ordered a small SCRYPT ASIC (just to test out) so at least it went to a good place and I'll have somewhere to use it.

If they allow a NIST5 coin, add N5coin.

Have messaged them to ask.

Right for now: I've decided on these based on Coinwarz profitability/volatility/ algo variety and to save having too much complication:

Bitcoin (SHA-256)
Fuelcoin(SHA-256)
Darkcoin (X11)
Global Denomination Coin (X11)
Litecoin (SCRYPT)
Vertcoin (SCRYPT-N)
Dirac (BLAKE 256)

GDN and WIN also for x11
for scrypt  GLD

I know GDN but am not familiar with the others.  Do you have their full names and links for the BTCtalk thread/website in case they ask?

I have BritCoin.me available if you'd like to use this.

Or you can use a subdomain on britcoin.io Smiley

Thanks so much for doing this, words can't describe have thankful I am. Smiley  You are now an honorary 'BritCoin Legend' Cheesy

No problem I'll have a look later to check if the payments have gone through from Coinpayments.net as BTC is sooo slow.  Anyway does anyone have any domain's free that they could donate for this - I think I might need one for it.  Not a major issue, I can just buy one but would rather not go through the hassle of somewhere like GoDaddy.  Will get back if I'm having problems.

OK that would be great and look more professional.  I'm not sure how to go about transferring it etc, but will message you when I come to it.

Right now they are asking me to let them know which 10 coins we would like to mine.  Any ideas here (obviously they don't have an automatic, switching algorithm), might make sense to choose some coins with different algorithms that are definitely POW only for the time being and as stable as possible, price wise.

I would think the following would be definite:

BTC for SHA256D
LTC for Scrypt
DRK for X11

any other suggestions?

Could probably just setup a subdomain. Like   britcoin.dom.com
I have a three letter domain that's not doing anything, but what is involved?

Am not really sure.  I contacted support and they said that a domain name isn't essential and that just the IP address can be used.

honestly a lot of us could run it, myself included as i own servers. But dont want to be responsible if anything bad happened (dead server or it didnt work)

Well with this they take care of all the hardware side of things/downtime etc.  It's just all the configuration I'm worried about because I've never setup a cloud server or server of any kind before - I'm a complete Unix dunce.

Check this out:

http://www.livechains.net/LivePool.html

Might be worth trying them - also Willi7m could try contacting them and negotiating to see if they would take payment in BRIT if the coin becomes successful.  I would be willing to contribute towards the cost if others will.  After all if they become the de-facto Brit Multipool they could make a lot of money in fees.  I have asked around and it seems nobody is likely to take up the multipool offer without either dollar/Bitcoin payment.  Most people charge around 4-5 bitcoins so this seems like a bargain.

Right I've paid for this and made an order so we can try it out.  Would anyone be willing to actually run the pool as I don't have clue about the server side of things and how to set this stuff up - assuming it's not idiot friendly?

The other issue is I think they use Cryptsy to pay out - if Will7am could speak to them and explain we are setting up a multipool to pay out in BRITcoin they should add us as the volume will be taken care of.

(Only about 0.13 BTC so no great loss if it's rubbish).

I have requested MintPal to take down MNR Voting through a support ticket.

It would be great if other people can send the same message or report the bot activity (is this in compliance with mintpal policy ?)

Also, MintPal will take down their coin voting on September 1st 2014;

If at all, we will do this problem as it comes - development will not stop by getting delisted.

Thing is they never listen but I'll give it a shot.  It probably won't get to the top in time anyway.

You seem like an angry buffoon who lost btc because of your impatience.  Now you're trying to save face by claiming it's our fault..  Please tell me, what did you do to further this coin?

It's a classic case of cognitive dissonance.  These armchair idiots buy in on the peaks then end up panic selling if the price doesn't go up.  Then when they realise how much money they've lost the only way they can make themselves feel better is to try to trash the coin and encourage others to do the same.  If they succeed then they can tell themselves that they were right to sell when they did.  They have to do this to save their ego.  It would be an utter disaster for them if the coin then went up - so they do their best to make it fail.
