Might it be an idea to get Gulden on Safecex? I really like the idea they have the option for instant and anonymously exchanging assets, similar like Shapeshift (but without the ridiculous fees). Some great developments for Gulden the last year and i'm sure 2016 will be the year to get more into mainstream adoption!
Some questions about the funding of the Gulden app for Android:
The IOS app is already in place and "ready" but you need funding for the android version, Why? and why 3btc? is someone else building it?
3btc is "allot" of money to fund and im willing to donate if there is more info about where the money goes.

We hire Malcolm (MaNI) for this, he also did the iOS version for 2 BTC because it took less time. Android and iOS are two different systems, so requires two different apps. The Android wallet will also be a complete change to what we have now, so a lot more development involved. The current applications will never make it mainstream and this why we changing things up. I will confirm my contribution later this week. This feature is a must and anyone with a android wallet should be throwing btc at this! Another great project for Gulden. |

This is nieuws of the year! All the people that left will come back. LTEx, devries, sven22, opadaniel, biomike, criptoe team , ontopicplease and many more! When will the forum launch? Don't pump the price too high. Buy on rumor sell on news will apply. Will this forum be something new and innovative, a crypto first? Don't play around! The new forum must be basic with a familiar feel that can work for everyone involved. I must agree with litesire. The people that left didn't want some fancy forum. It must be clean, easy on the eyes and have the basic text settings with color, font types etc. The first forum was ideal as most people have worked with simple machines. Good luck Jero it won't be easy to please everyone and the forums have almost destroyed the community in the past. Your forum if done right might be the binding force needed to bring the community together once more. It will be fascinating to see all those that left over the new forum come back to Gulden. Jero will the development team also support your new forum ? This is also important. |

The price of Gulden has nothing to do with the forums but more to do with the bitcoin price rally. I haven't used the official forums or the other 2 but from what I remember the original forum was the most active, if the price of a coin was determined only by a forum then btctalkcoin would be number 1.
That being said the official forum is a lot quieter then the other 2 were. On the surface it looks good but it is obvious that a lot of people don't like using it, maybe too far ahead of it's time for some?
The developers need to realize not everyone is as technically smart as them, what they find easy certain people might find difficult to use.

What Nocks is doing is real, not some hype. And making something that is really useful takes time, 4 months is nothing. Enough with the 'innovative' updates just for the hype, we are building things that people will use because it's easy, fun and better.

I agree mostly with the above, having iOS being used at Gulden and Bitcoin merchants is a good win and users don't have to worry if merchants accept only Gulden or Bitcoin in the Netherlands. The team deserves big credit for this idea. I disagree that "4 months is nothing", if you only updating once every 4 months it works out to 10 updates every 4 years, unless you saying this quiet time for Nocks is a once off affair? Updates can include new merchants, services, business etc. Doesn't have to be development updates only. |

Read back over all of that ... it's not surprising at all that the DGB market cap has increased 559% during the same time. DigiByte has significantly increased the underlying value of the services and network over the past 12 months.
I would challenge anyone to give me an example of a digital currency that has accomplished the same amount in the past 12 months.
I would say Gulden has accomplished a lot in 12 months in development and especially in the last 8 months. It might be the best investment of all coins at the moment. Digibyte has had a incredible and well deserved run and it's back to consolidation for a bit but it has settled at a new higher low and I see digibyte taking Dogecoins place in marketcap in the future. I noticed the iOS app is no longer in the store and only android available for users, is there plans to have a iOS wallet again? NLG is a very good investment indeed and has a very deserving spot on my Top 10 list (and will likely move up on the year end report). DGB is still the undeniable #1 though. It should be your number 2  . Just saw the vid of the new iOS wallet which is ground breaking. Well I have been telling people forever to support Digibyte and Gulden. The sheeple need to open their eyes and stop falling for the latest cons. |

   So every bitcoin and gulden merchant (online and offline) can be paid very easy soon with this Gulden app! That means totally covered easy cryptopayment with Gulden  We will have android out with the same features early next year Jan/Feb. This is besides our Prime project.  Simply perfect, this is why I have been supporting Gulden as my top currency for a long time. I knew this wasn't a dead end currency when there was and still many doubters. Keep up the progress!! |

If anyone wants to help me try out a possible solution to the network issues please try pulling https://github.com/digibyte/digibyte/pull/40. My theory is that the network is basically DoSing itself and that if enough nodes stop doing that things will return to normal. Good luck, hope you find a solution. I would of suggested talking to MaNI from Gulden for help but they haven't implemented Multi Algo. |

What is a good price to get more Gulden ? Everytime I have bought although small amount the price continues to decline. I am not complaining but if price going under 350 I will wait for when it was similar to last year to buy more coins. Coin was low price for a long time in historical graphs.
This currency is great and one of the best around but has been harmed by political strife in the past, both times over forums (Very hard to believe but true). The price has been on a downward trajectory since the Zone forum shut down as a few community memebers have either left or become silent supporters. I can't fathom why forums are such an important topic with certain members of the Gulden community as you never see these debates within other communities. Digibytes.community forum is nowhere near as active as btctalk but for Gulden the community forums were active and vocal. To your question I would buy up as the price continues to go south. I have also decided not to take part in the mining campaign to rather help support the market. Next year we can only hope a community can be built where a look of a forum is not the main focus but what the coin offers it's users. I perceive it differently. Neither a forum, nor any users affiliated with Gulden, are debit to it's price. In my experience, whenever the Bitcoin rises in value, non-Bitcoin coins drop in value. And, other way around. So, yes, Gulden has indeed declined in (abstract) value. Yet, this value, in terms of price, is related to the Bitcoin. Gulden, is a crypto currency that has WAY more bag holders, than that it has miners, of which a good deal comes from pools (and not from dedicated miners). Yet, in terms of percentages, Gulden has declined far less than the Bitcoin has risen in value; this simply equates that the value/price/etc of Gulden did not decrease, but actually has increased... Besides that, it is still a given fact that pre-mine has been made available for this community mining to cover expenses for a rough 2/3 of its costs. Based on ALL prior mining experiences thus far, any "package takers" are completely covered, and they most certainly end up with profits... Unless, unless the Bitcoin drops significant in value (>50%) AND Gulden doesn't rise equally or more; which, I very VERY highly doubt to be a likely scenario (less than 2% probability for this scenario to occur in the upcoming 2 months).... Gulden has dropped position from the low 40s to mid 50s on coinmarketcap. Other coins have performed better in price but not in real value as Gulden has added more development where other coins have done nothing. This can only be attributed to a loss in community. Slack is not a replacement for a forum as I cant browse the discussions taking place. Lots of "guest" users read the forums that don't worry about registering but want to see what is being discussed. |

I have noticed a decline in community participation after the zone forum was closed down. What was the reason for this?
Zone forum was nothing special although it wasn't bad either, I preferred browsing forum.guldencoin.com as I am used to simple machines. There is nothing wrong with the official forum although I wouldn't of bothered changing it in the first place. The forum.guldencoin.com was really busy. One change I can recommend for the official forum is to show metrics for online users. Until then it's like comparing apples and oranges. |

Not sure if I got a response to my question but what exactly does the above point mean? Is this something bitcoin does not have yet? This is the non hyped version of the changes. * Changes occur @ block 143,000 * 15 Second Blocks * MultiAlgo Difficulty adjustment code changed to make 51% attack much, much harder (See commit explanation) Thanks to MentalCollatz who did the change for myraidcoin first. Big thanks to MentalCollatz for proposing the difficulty changes! As for the transaction propagation changes, think of it like this. Before the hard fork a client will only relay a block onto its peers once it has been fully validated. This was a huge bottleneck in network propagation that Microsofts researchers identified. The new changes allow blocks to be received and relayed simultaneously. However, each client still conducts a full, proper set of checks for each block and TX without any decreased security risk. If a block is orphaned or found to be invalid a client will relay that to its peers. Thanks for the response Jared. |
