241  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Binance said government did not ask for $10 billion fine on: March 06, 2024, 03:10:16 PM
I also see no reason for making such detention, what i expect to hear was that the news on this arrest was not true, this shows the act of bridging against human right and freedom for the exchange to have sent down representatives and the next thing is for the government to lay arrest on them, this can also clearly proof that they are demanding for ransom in that case, but as government, what else will you expect from them than denying the fact to what they do or intends to do, Afterall, it will all end in making negotiations on how they could task binance and earn from this exchange in percentage from every Nigerian trader.
242  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: We need restructuring in Nigeria:;the way forward on: March 06, 2024, 12:13:15 PM
We have heard the story of everyone and I think instead of dividing or thinking  of separation we should think of restructuring.

Either by the way of restructuring or by separation, something must be done and we cannot continue in watching the way things are being done at the expense of the masses, but we should never forget that we have our induvial right on the expression of interest to what we see or want, but are we not afraid to voice out and are we not part of the restructuring that we are talking about that needs to change for good.

Let's restructure Nigeria to 3 independent state. Let every state be independent under one umbrella. This might be the best way to go in Nigeria, we hope to see the new Nigeria some day.

I hope you know that this cannot be done by just mouth, we need much enforcement to help make this come a reality and at the cause, many will go by it because you cant take freedom without the application of force and if you're using force, expect people to die along the cause, but will that be the end or solution to all human kind challenges in life and the country be at peace more than ever before or the people may just suffer at the end without having any achievement regarding this.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: March 05, 2024, 03:44:51 PM
By the virtue of how far we have been gambling in life, we should be able to derive out many things concerning gambling in which we have learnt, either through our own personal experience or from other peoples experience of things that happens to them, still yet we continue with learning as we keep seeing new things happening around the entire gambling sections
244  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We might just have experienced the start of Bullrun on: March 05, 2024, 02:49:36 PM
If you look at the Bitcoin market and the price, a lot of manipulation is going, no hate I like the pump but I just want people should be careful with the way institutional investors are playing everyone right now because this bullrun is control by their elite.

You're right, we keep on hearing various news concerning the current market situation, some believed that not only the institutional holders alone are the ones manipulating the market, the US government is also taking advantage in acquiring as many as possible to hold bitcoin, we don't know how true all these could be, but all we know is that the market will always remain a decentralized network, even these institutional investors we are seeing do loose sometimes in a big way such that it favour someone like me and you that we earn as a result, while they are loosing because they mostly go into trades often.
245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We might just have experienced the start of Bullrun on: March 05, 2024, 01:30:57 PM
The approval of bitcoin ETF made the price to skyrocket to this price from 42k-68k, which is the highest price that we have seen in this circle. I believe that from now till next week bitcoin price will break the previous ATH. So this is the best time for people who do not have any bitcoin or little amount of bitcoin to take advantage of the market to buy and stash up till when bitcoin price will reach 100k.

The intention was to encourage those yet to invest in taking advantage now, considering the recent performance, am not saying that am unaware of how the market has been since the beginning if the year, i also understand your points from here, we are expecting more anytime hence as the market continue to surge for new all time high.
246  Economy / Trading Discussion / We might just have experienced the start of Bullrun on: March 05, 2024, 12:42:15 PM
Announce it to others that Bitcoin Halving is near and that Bullrun might just have Begun.

source link

Its something worth to write about as bitcoin have recently marked close the it last all time high whereby we experienced the market at $68,686.80 which is just a few points to get to the bitcoin market price of $69,000 which was it all time high, for some of us who had invested earlier before these, we could realized the massive rise in the market price of recent and this alone is what we can as well termed as the introduction the the bullrun since it all happened within a close space of time and yet the major one have not yet started until we are either more closer to halving, during or after halving we may begin to see more new all time highs.

Then why the need to announce to the world that Bullrun has probably Begin.

1. We are moving fast ahead and more closer to bitcoin halving in April.
2. There's a lot that has come with bitcoin market improvement since the approval of bitcoin spot ETFs.
3. More people are investing on bitcoin and its becoming more dominant than before as recognized and legal digital currency.
4. Investing now and waiting till after the halving could as well as being more profitable for any late investor because we aren't into the new all time high bullrun yet.
5. The little surge on bitcoin market has driven some other cryptocurrencies to also rise while we are yet to experience the halving, this shows that much more to be expected with bitcoin during and after the 2024 halving.
247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see BTC at ATH before the year ends? on: March 04, 2024, 07:17:02 PM
Considering the title of OP i think we are already at the edge of that by now, we are moving faster and more closer to the all time high after the previous halving, we should expect more on this from this new week market price performance, we are more likely to see more of new highs and this can be on several occasions after or before the halving
248  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gold vs Btc on: March 04, 2024, 04:15:11 PM
What we now have as the present time digital gold is Bitcoin and not any other forms of physical resources since that's the gold rush for the present financial economy the world is considering at the moment, we have a very high ability of making profits in bitcoin with lesser risk unlike the way other real gold investment is, there are many other opportunities that Bitcoin provides that are quite different and better to that which the mining of gold present to the people at large, an average person cannot afford gold investment while both the poor and rich can invest on bitcoin.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just a friendly Bitcoin friend reminder - High price = more scams on: March 04, 2024, 03:05:10 PM
The Bitcoin price are reaching a new All-time-high again and we all know scammers are trying their best to get their hands on your coins.

The more things are going at it peak the more also are the scammers advising means to make sure they hook on their victims on scam, we should be careful and not be carried away by the ecstasy of the market bull and fall in hands by some little offers we may come along with online to be giving free bitcoin or any other crypto for nothing, also, we need to maintain a good security practice on all our wallets in other for them not to gain access on them.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 02, 2024, 03:58:31 PM
When everything's going well, it's cool. But sometimes (often?) money problems lead to divorce. Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction?

One thing many people don't seems to understand about gambling is that even the gambler cannot predict to how far or extent to where he could go while gambling, we all believe that gambling can be indicting sometimes, deceiving as well and if care is not tsking, it will bring the worst personality in us out and we can do nothing about it after the deed is done.

Has this ever happened to you?

No and i don't think it can ever happen to me.
251  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Don't allow politicians to use you on: March 02, 2024, 02:53:27 PM
Only those that are not ready to be responsible for themselves and has thought about life the way it appears on them can accept the offer of working for this politicians to use them and waste them at the end just because of a peanut they stand to be given, when they have the ability and capacity of earning more than that by themselves if they are serious about life.
252  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Forex Crisis: CBN revokes operational licenses of 4,173 BDCs on: March 02, 2024, 02:07:02 PM
CBN are just looking ways to strengthen naira. This is a link to the news:

https://dailypost.ng/2024/03/01/forex-crisis-cbn-revokes-operational-licenses-of-4173-bdcs/

Although, CBN said the affected institutions failed to observe regulatory provisions.

Isn't the government the ones that have energized and strengthen BDC to the extent they were today and we are now seeing the market uncontrollable with the way they are exchanging the market supplied to them by the CBN, firstly the government is accusing the online trading platforms for being responsible for this naira devaluation and now its over to the turn of the Bureau De Change to as well face the attack from the same government that have permitted them for all these long time ago.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 01, 2024, 03:21:48 PM
The high rate of gamblers who take loan for gambling purposes is quite alarming, and most of them are fathers to kids. Most of them don't end up taking care of their debt before passing. What happens to the funds, when the lender comes for his money? It's quite a tough one for a person who isn't a gambler to inherit a trouble from a gambling dad. Such things also increase the anger of the society on gamblers, because the addicts are, also, good at extending their problem gambling to other close relatives. Could it be talked through in the law court?

There's nothing impossible with this our present generation, if some can go to the extent of consulting the loan shark for money to bet in gambling, then they suddenly left without repayment being made, definitely they will have to come after the children, wife or even the family member, we should be careful not to put those around us into trouble because of our selfish interests.
254  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto's networth ever being rated? on: March 01, 2024, 02:57:32 PM
Another point of consideration is how easy or possible is it to trace the entire holding capacity of someone whose wallet is not completely identified, himself is also pseudonymous, so tell me what are you going after to know with these, knowing it also does not make sense to the people because they are not yet fully convinced that bitcoin or cryptocurrency is not a means of financial fraud, that is part of the reasons why many countries are yet yo accept the adoption of bitcoin as a legal tender, also if Satoshi happened to be among the richest on earth, what do you think others will say, that he is using that as an advantage over himself to accumulate more wealth or what.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Satoshi worked for the NSA? on: March 01, 2024, 02:24:40 PM
Satoshi might not have been in NSA, but I'm sure satoshi was one that had many connections and must have known this, satoshi had meetings with many persons before the creation of bitcoin like Adam strange, so he must have also had some idea about those backdoor and weak algorithms, what I think is that the person of satoshi might not have been that of just a technical person but also someone influential in a way and if satoshi really had some insider knowledge about nasa's algorithm then he must have been a person of some kind of status.

Well said, he may not have a direct connection with the NSA but he has been around with them or having a direct or indirect links that connects them in the past from research and technology findings they all must have shared in the past, we can get more about this we we closely read through the history of bitcoin and who Satoshi Nakamoto is.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rated 6th Among the Top Global Currencies on: February 29, 2024, 04:58:00 PM
How exactly is this "fiat value" measured? Is it measured by gathering the value of all USD banknotes in circulation? The USD and all big fiat currencies aren't just a bunch of banknotes. What about all the fiat currencies that are in the balance sheets of all banks? What about all fiat currencies that are in a digital form, like the money in your Paypal or Cashapp accounts? I think that the USD and EUR are very underestimated by this research. Yes, Bitcoin has a 1 trillion USD market cap, but market capitalization isn't a great tool for measuring the power and influence of any financial asset.
Yeah exactly I have same kind of question, plus they can just print whatever they want, it is not like it really would be devalued all that much, not in the USD case, they printed 50% of their money in the past 5 years and they are still doing fine, it doesn't really feel like that is a good idea to calculate it that way. I feel like the best thing to do in this case would be just allowing most of these to be just made up numbers and not really care about it.

If you want bitcoin to be great in your mind, then it is already great, bitcoin is one of the best assets out there in the world, one of the biggest as well. You do not need these type of stuff to make it work somehow, it just doesn't really make any changes at all, you should consider that as normal.

And this is also one of the reasons why bitcoin will always have edge over them in value because they can be manipulated by the government or its officials in charge, if we don't have a measure to the availability of something, how can we monitor its distributions, we have data information's on the population of the people and we have no limit to the amount of money the government have capacity of printing for proper regulatory, bitcoin is decentralized which they don't like at all, the mining has a specific target and they still dont understand all these are far ahead the fiat currencies they are controlling and cant make account on.
257  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Binance problems with FG intensify on: February 29, 2024, 04:12:10 PM
The government are making a big mistake which is the fact that they are taking a well renown exchange like Binance with a global reputation as the main reason for the collapse in their economy performance, what they would have thought about is if they stops Nigerians from the use of Binance, what about other exchanges, for long can they do this and sustain it, it other exchanges should follow same, what bout the decentralized exchanges who don't even care if something like government exist.

Binace is not the reason for naira devaluation, If they block the use of binance from here, people can use VPN to access the platform, still make their daily transactions and cant only make use of naira p2p, they have alternatives to using other exchanges in their numbers, the CBN issues this same dollars to the BDC men out there to inflate it, other financial businesses are also taking advantage of this the same way the government is currently manipulating the naira exchange rate to USD now, i want to believe that Binance will realized this as a great loss to their business if Nigerians should shift to other exchanges.

258  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Telegram wallet now has p2p on: February 29, 2024, 03:29:16 PM
I use telegram and am yet to see any feature related to that on mine, but just to advise you better on this, i will say that using a telegram generated wallet is an unsafe practice to do, I've also seem some browsers that does so, but you will have to do this at your own risk and i think they could be even more danger to use than the centralized exchanges because you can easily be hacked and these are not wallets they provides you with the private keys to your funds on the blockchain, just be careful.
259  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Is Coinbase the Next Target after Binance For Nigerians on: February 29, 2024, 02:44:41 PM
Before i could say anything, maybe you should first hear out what the Coinbase Boss have to say

https://twitter.com/BTC_Archive/status/1762902467149238493?t=QX6b1x5RQozwEr5ZcnqPig&s=19

I don't know what others are perceiving already about the recent clampdown of the Nigerian government on the use of Binance Exchange as they resulted to the cause of rise ion the USD value is due to the eminent presence of the global centralized exchange called Binance.

Coinbase has made a release on the recent challenges they experience on their platform as a result of over traffic, which means they are receiving a lot of users clogging up their network of recent, could this be that the ban on the use of p2p in Nigeria erupted the decision to many of them in deciding to make use of Coinbase for their trading or something else happened behind the sudden network congestion received by Coinbase.
