back to tonight game, intense in Milano, looks as a close match till the end
although teams do play in series so far
It was close game until final seconds. Partizan had great chance to win game or send it to OT at least, but how you can make such poor attack after timeout. Leday goes with ball almost whole court and makes last shot. Especially when you have Punter on the court. And it's not first time this season, IIRC, there was game where Kaminsky had last shot and offcourse he missed it. Neither Kaminsky or Leday doesn't looks like players who you would like to see taking last shot.
This loss may cost a lot for Partizan.

Considering Mike James is not in Europe for THAT long that really is impressive!
Back when he was with Brooklyn in the NBA he was already showing what he can do, that's why I was surprised when he went to Europe.
Maybe he would have made more money in the US but over there he is just one of many. In Europe he is a star that can shine in the brightest light. Not to mention that Monaco is a great place to live at, with a lot of advantages tax wise, if you know what I mean.
For American 10 seasons in Euroleague is quite a lot. In all these years he become face of modern era Euroleague. Now he is 33 years old, so, probably he still have 2-3 seasons remaining. With such scoring averages it will be difficult to reach him for someone. Now only thing that he is missing is winning Euroleague.

our former player, Vesely had a lead against Valencia for Barca
It was so long time ago that I already forgot that. It looks that he spent eternity at Fenerbahche.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision 2024 bets on: March 08, 2024, 06:58:48 PM
Isreal were allowed to participate in Eurovision after they made changes in lyrics of song:
https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-68505050
Despite it, their entry probably won't be less contraversial because of this.

No I kinda agree but what did you expect? High art or song that you can resonate with on a very personal level from an international competition?
Eurovision's format kinda favors low effort easy to understand songs. So rarely an artist will go there with his best song. They'll just write a pop song quite hastily specifically for the competition. It's a competition known for pop and RnB songs because they have the widest appeal. But there's the occasional outlier that also does well. We live for these moments here, like when Italy won.

If you think about it, even in Eurovision's "golden" era, the good music we remember from there is still corny pop songs like ABBA's waterloo...
Music from past looks better because it gives us nostalgy about our youth, childhod, bring back some good memories. Wouldn't say that nowadays music is bad, simply you shouldn't look at mainstream music. It applies to Eurovision too, this contest is mainly about genereic pop music. But every year we have at least we have at least few more sophisticated entries.
About Italy, seems that they simply can't send bad songs and it applies to their this year entry. And yeah, when Maneskin won few years ago, it let them to become one of the most popular bands in the world now.

And there are of course others, such as BK8, Cloudbet, Duelbits, FortuneJack, Sportsbet, Stake...
Probably almost all bokmakers have it, after all, it's one of biggest events in Europe, only Olympics and football World Cup/Euro can compete with it.

Sainz is replaced by Bearman now, I just got the Superbru notify, apparently surgery for appendicitis so expect him to be out at least one more race after this. Doing you all a nice favour by telling you to replace him if you've made your picks, too early in the season to be nasty, heh heh heh.

Ultimately, I left Bearman in my line, just lower down the positions. No idea about him but Ferrari has a good enough machine, no?
Yeah, Sainz absence is quite big factor, but it's good that there is nothing very serious for him and he won't have to miss big part of season. Bearman isn't complete newbie to F1, he had some private testing with Ferrari last year and few Free Practice with Haas.
Zhou had big crash in FP3 and impact was big, it's possible that Sauver won't be able to fix car until qualifying.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Group Stage playoffs on: March 07, 2024, 10:10:18 PM
Expextected goals and fun game between Ajax and Aston Villa, but it was quite an opposite. Big tension, dirty game and not many dangerous moments.
Maccabi Haifa - Fiorentina was such an roller coaster with 7 goals scored combined and hard Fiorentina win. And big statement from Fenerbahche, 3:0 win against dangerous opponent away.

Quite the surprise with Tel.Aviv winning against Olympiakos right ? Also the score is quite shocking as well as 4-1 defeat kinda makes the comeback impossible. I think this happened because Greek league this year is super close and first 3 teams are very tight for title fight that could go until last game so no wonder why Olympiakos had no gas today.
Yeah, that's biggest surprise today. Difficult to comment something without watching game, but 1:4 defeat is big, difficult to expect comeback here.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 23/24 European basketball discussion: Euroleague/BBL/ACB/LegaA/LNB/TBL.. on: March 07, 2024, 09:40:52 PM
Efes stormed Bayern at home, and they are now both on 16 loses
cheering for Zalgiris and Barcelona to take down Maccabi and Valencia, which would be helpful for Partizan in a play-in fight

Monaco won over Zvezda
Partizan is playing one more important match (all till the end are) tomorrow against Olimpia in Milano, and win would be great to seal Olimpia out, and improve our own chances to get in
according to bookies it is possible, and IMO it is 50/50
Zalgiris lost to Maccabi and if they still had dreams about playoffs, it's over.
Fenerbahche won against Real for the second time this season. And they did in confident way, something what you won't see in Madrid often.
Mike James become all time Euroleague top scorer with 4457 points and overtook Vassilis Spanoulis. Monaco achieved easy win against Crvena Zvezda.
About Olimpia - Partizan, Olimpia is such unpredictable team. Sometimes they play shit, but they're capable to beat almost anyone on good day.

Then you probably should move your topic to Altcoins board if you're not talking about Bitcoin.
Personally I got burned too many times while investing into altcoins. I don't even watch into these less known coins. Most likely that very few of your investments will bring you decent returns. I prefer investing in something that I know better.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2023/24 | Last 16 on: March 07, 2024, 07:46:11 PM
So far all results were kinda strange. Yeah, maybe Liverpool huge win 1:5 wasn't huge surprise, but considering that Sparta had many chances and didn't played that bad, it's a bit strange.
Bayer was down 0:2 against Qarabag, but made comeback to 2:2 and didn't ruined their chances.
And betting on Roma with such decent odds was easy money, but nobody didn't expected that they will win 4:0.
two main favorites have not that easy away matches, Leverkusen is facing Qarabag, while Liverpool will face Sparta
not sure will they pull main strength in first match to make re-match only a formality, or just try to not end-up having to chase score at home
especially Liverpool, considering they have "match of the season" against City on weekend, playing full strength on Thursday night in Czech republic doesn't seems as best decision prior to Sunday match, we will see

there is also a classic between Benfica and Rangers, cheering to Scots to go into next round

I'm backing Rangers too, and breathe easy now with an early penalty converted.
Rangers is big underdog here and I don't see them going to the next round. Interesting that these clubs with such long history faced each other only twice and both games ended with high scoring draws.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: March 06, 2024, 09:52:56 PM
Real - Leipzig was really good one to watch with unknown outcome until final minutes. Leipzig played great game, while Real weren't very impressive, and Leipzig were so close from sending game to ET at least.
City - Copenhagen, even without some main players City repeated score of first game and won 3:1 again. But 99% of us probably didn't expected something different.

Man Arsenal has no business in the Champions League, they're only participating....; they've already lost their first tough game (against Porto) and are drowning. If they make it past Porto, they may not survive the next big gun.

The problem with Real Madrid is injury management, which Manchester City excels at; unlike Real Madrid, their top players are always available for tough games.
I wanted to add words "if they will go through Porto" but forgot it. But I'm quite confident it. It's a bit strange to rate them seriously, but they're looking solid now and I see them above teams like Bayern or PSG.

Now that UK navy proved its nuclear capabilities are non-existent, first Russian nuclear strike
will probably hit UK, not UKraine

https://youtu.be/0kvonrxGCps
Russian propaganda and drunk Dimon Medvedev like to threaten about nuclear strikes on Washington, London or Berlin rather than Ukraine. But you're really optimistic about capabilities of Russia and that they're ready for this suicide move.
Now they threatens to hit bridges in Germany as revenge in case if Crimea bridge will be destroyed:

How pathetic...

Yesterday I said that both games weren't very exciting and expected that today's games will be better. But actually, it may be boring too. City already in the next round and I don't see big chances for Leipzig to eliminate Real.

What about Real Madrid? Manchester City is really favourite for their performance, but I think Real Madrid has the capability to stop them.
Yeah, never understimate Real, this team is just made for such kind of competition like CL. Arsenal looks solid too, but I think we all will agree that City is main favorite.

Same here, went with a Lazio win as only some all-ins would save me. I didn't even check my position, but it's not looking good in that pool. Went with a 3-0 for Bayern in the Superbru pool, but to be honest I doubt it's going to happen. I just spread some of the results of all the competitions I am playing. I think a draw could also be quite a realistic result. Bayern is so erratic that even an early goal wouldn't mean they are going to crush Lazio. They have too often fallen back into their weakest game.
Your prediction about Bayern turned to be true. I don't know what Lazio planned for today, but playing like they did, there was no chance for them.
Expected something more from Sociedad, they scored a goal, but it was way to late for cemeback. Damn, what a boring matchday, already waiting for tomorrows game.

The situations of spack17 who bet 10 stakes on Copenhagen win and el che who bet all their stakes on Arsenal attracted my attention quite much. Smiley
Going all in on Arsenal would make more sense if odds would be higher a bit. But backing Copenhagen, there is nothing to lose for him probably, but I doubt that he would back them with his own money Cheesy

Meanwhile another Russian war ship turrned into submarine. Ukraine destroyed Sergey Kotov patrol ship. And again they used Magura V5 drones:
https://twitter.com/nexta_tv/status/1764912010448285868
https://youtu.be/ZdNxxCU9RJQ?si=dizee_0EdvyhR_XI
Ukraine continue effectively destroying of Black Sea fleet with relatively cheap drones (cheap comparing with long range missiles).
And there was first video record of Ukraine using AASM Hammer bombs. It's closest analogue to KAB that Ukraine have
https://www.armyrecognition.com/ukraine_-_russia_conflict_war_2022/ukraine_strikes_russian_targets_with_french_aasm-250_bombs_for_the_first_time.html?utm_content=cmp-true
Previously these bombs were only used on F-16, French Dassault and Indian Tejas.
Edit.
It was already used on Avdiivka Coke Plant few days ago. What I can say, it looks impressive:

Submitted my picks. Didn't went with some crazy outcomes and divided my points on 3 Spanish teams. Thought about Borussia, but not confident that they will win at home.
Speaking about today's games. Despite everything, predict that Bayern will qualify. Even after loss 0:1 away bookmakers are so confident about Bayern that they don't even give attractive odds. And Real Sociedad - PSG. In first game Sociedad played well, but I think that 0:2 loss is a bit too much for comeback. But it should be good game to watch.
255  Economy / Reputation / Re: Opinions on the word "Vouch" on: March 04, 2024, 08:46:27 PM
If you're vouching for someone, you you should accept responsibility for your own words. Be man of his words. I don't like when people when people talking without thinking about consequences of their words. If you behave in this way, your vouching is just worthless and you're just ruining your own reputation.
And after all, we are talking about vouching people who you never saw face to face and communicated just online. Maybe you shouldn't hurry with vouching something and you should do that with people that you REALLY trust and you're ready to accept responsibility if something goes wrong.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: March 04, 2024, 08:22:33 PM
Yesterday I watched Porto vs Benfica
It's amazing how many surprises we can see in soccer

The Porto team won a very impressive 5x0 victory against Benfica
Even at 1x0 after 20 minutes, the two teams were evenly balanced, but with a goal at the end of the first half, Porto ended the half with a good lead
After that, only Porto were able to play, and it was incredible how Benfica couldn't do anything during the game, especially with Otamendi red card

This could be one of those games that lifts the spirits of one team and sinks the other
I hope Benfica can cope well with this defeat and don't lose focus, especially on the Europa League
Porto still have to play Portimonense, but they have everything they need to go into the game against Arsenal with optimism and hope, and that could helps them qualify

Yesterday it looked that 5 goals isn't the limit and Porto can csore as much as they want. Especially in 2nd half - Benfica looked like bottom table team and we saw action in one direction already. It was one of the most humiliating defeats of Benfica for a while. Still, Porto chances in title race looks very complicated, but such win can give big boost for the team.

Personally I sometimes miss important forum events when I have bussy time and don't visit specific boards like Meta or Reputation for few days. So, something what you offered would be nice.
Yeah, I know that we have News on the top, but it get updated only for key things few times a year, most of time we see recent version of Bitcoin core.
But question who would update such news frequently. I think only theymos and Cyrus have access to upload something there and I doubt that they have enough time to post important news frequently.

Don't know who will be my first opponent in first round, but anyway, not going to hurry with prediction. Really want to start season with a win.
Earlier today I thought that we didn't had esports question for a while and here it comes Cheesy. Can't say that I missed it. It's Dota as I understand, right?
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 23/24 - discussion thread on: March 03, 2024, 06:12:51 PM
After todays game between PSV and Feyenoord that ended 2:2, it looks impossible for PSV not to win title. 10 points lead with 10 games remaining. They would have to lose 4 games and Feyenoord must win everything. And remaining calendar for PSV looks easy, most difficult opponents is AZ and Twente, but both games at home.
And I remind that they're still undefeated this season, and have great chance to end whole season in this way. And about today's game, that moment when draw at home isn't bad result at all.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: March 03, 2024, 05:56:54 PM
Valencia should have won, but a point from Real is always victory. It could have been worse, apparently. Ref blew whistle to end game as the ball was in the air (and then Jude scored). Sorry for you man.

Villareal running riot, needed Granada to score to at least get a half point advantage at 4, but then after Sorloth's hattrick nothing mattered -- doesn't sound like much but this season approaches the end and I feel like every half point will matter.
That referee decision to end match in the middle of Real attack was biggest WTF I saw for a while. Even bigger than that AFCON referee who ended game few minutes too early. You know, I'm always happy when Real drop points, but it was just nonsense.
Villarreal this season don't give much joy for their fans, but today they had probably best game of season. Now there is interesting game between Mallorca and Girona, things doesn't looks so great in Girona anymore and it will be difficult to win today. And main game Athletic - Barcelona. Athletic is looking scary now, how they destroyed Atletico in Copa. It looks that taking 1 point in San Mames wouldn't be bad result for Barca.
