241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 17, 2024, 01:28:19 PM
I don't feel like that if the others bet huge, it encourages me to bet huge? No. I guess that I should be thankful for not having that feeling but sometimes it's good to just stand by and watch all of the other bettors win or how far they're going to go with crash.
While this might not be the case for me or most persons, you tend to bet with an amount that you’re convenient about and it’s largely based on what you’ve got for some reserve.
Yeah, this isn't a case to us and some others or even the majority and as long as we're convenient with the amount that we bet, that's all what we need to do. Do not let others dictate how much you bet or if you do then make sure that you're not going to regret it.

Where some other gamblers bet might affect me or I might give some consideration is, in the event that, I find someone staking huge on a market that, I am staking against to not play out. Now, that’s a messed up situation as I begin to ask myself; what is this gambler seeing that I am not? What could be the reason behind such a bold step… I try to find and see reason but in the end, I just might abandon the bet or persons find a more logical reason why I should place the bet.
Well, just let them do what they have been doing and with the amount that they're betting. Just don't be too curious with others affairs and bet and just you do your own matter as you gamble. There is no logical reason for us to do just as what they do because we've got our own strategies and amounts as we bet.
242  Local / Pamilihan / Re: 1xbet Scamming Pilipino sportbettors on: January 17, 2024, 02:56:10 AM
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 16, 2024, 11:34:41 PM
I don't feel like that if the others bet huge, it encourages me to bet huge? No. I guess that I should be thankful for not having that feeling but sometimes it's good to just stand by and watch all of the other bettors win or how far they're going to go with crash. I also do it sometimes with dice and see on how the quick dicers win and lose although it is no fun to watch other gamblers fun and that's why the vibe of winning is what I want to extract myself. It doesn't encourage me but I just love and found fun on it when I do. If we're gambling and we see other bet huge and you can afford that, you can always have your own experiment and see how it is going to end, as long as you can afford that amount to lose.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 16, 2024, 09:24:15 PM
Is that in USD$? if I am in that situation, I don't know how to forgive myself. That's already a lot of money when I was still able to withdraw and then I didn't stopped myself and kept on gambling. I'll call myself an idiot for not securing the winnings. But let's get back to reality, if luckily I was able to reach that amount and I can withdraw that, no doubt that I'll be cashing that out. It's already money and I'll leave some so that I can have fun again without having the worry that the bigger amount might still lose. We need to be wise with our decisions, it should be our minds that we must use in situations like this or whenever you have won the big pot but you're still thinking whether not to cash out and just continue with all of it.

I guess, I will be cashing it out already. As I experienced before, I am not that person that will go all in no matter what.
If I have the chance to get it, why not? That's clear money already. And if you proceed, there's a chance that you will lose it all.
But it is understandable if some people will push thru their luck. That one is a big money if in case you got lucky.
If the OP is talking about USD here, would be cashing it out as much as I can. Won't wait for the next bet to finish.
We have to make the best decisions in life. We gamble for some fun and for some money too and if we're luckily able to win some or on this case, this isn't just some money but this is the money that can change you forever. So, why not take that moment and enjoy that money and cash it out. Opportunities like aren't going to come everyday so, when you see those numbers and is lucky to win big amounts, you know what to do and you don't want to see that opportunity pass away.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold than trade. Just don't use leverage, futures. on: January 16, 2024, 02:39:11 PM
While these manipulations typically comes to the market and they're hyping some news, the daily traders are the mostly affected by these move by government, SEC or by the financial institutions. That's how they make huge money from these situations and they are not allowing any opportunity to pass by. So, we've seen that Gensler told that he's hacked and there will be no approval but then we've seen it after a few days, 11 Bitcoin spot ETFs have been approved. The same style by financial institution and leaders like Dimon that tells they don't like Bitcoin but then when the price plummets, they're buying.
246  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit sa Thailand at hindi sa Pilipinas? on: January 16, 2024, 11:57:12 AM
Quote
Binance is finally opening its Thailand exchange to the general public eight months after it announced an expansion into the country.

Link: https://cointelegraph.com/news/binance-thailand-general-public-launch-compete-incumbent

Cheesy
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 15, 2024, 11:35:13 PM
Either way, it is quite a sad situation to be in, as a gambler addicted person, not to longer care about ones needs in that way.
True, many gamblers are like this in person. They forget to even care for themselves as long as they're able to get on that game that they've been wanting to play on. They need to be a better person and needs to start somewhere when they're already acting like these.

That is obvious, I just believe there is supposed to be more public funding on take care of people with psychological problems in general (not only Problem gambling). If it was within my power to do something about it as a politician, I would try to establish rehabilitation clinics and mental institutions in cities and states where gambling is a prolific part of the economy, so both foreigns and locals can get some relief out their addiction.
It's gonna be different on me but I'll just add one thing with what you're going to implement, first I'll push the land based casinos to do their own thing and handle cases like this or do something when they spot on some gamblers that are acting careless. And then those that are caught by them will be put into those clinics and will undergo rehabilitations just as what you're about to do.

Did you know that sometime ago in the United States was posible to get people involuntarily committed in mental institutions? It has become more difficult nowadays, and perhaps that ls why is easier for people to make their situation more complex by engaging in gambling and even more serious vices.
I don't know about that, I'm not from there so I am not aware of the history and policies that have been made there in relation to these situations.

249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 15, 2024, 05:13:04 PM
It is gonna go with the tip that we always say about "gambling what you can afford to lose". This is for everyone that may have a positive thought that he/she may win a lot of money as they gamble. But when you're about losing your bets, you're not going to be hurtful with that because it is the amount that you can afford to lose. And when you're okay with the amount that you've set as the bankroll, it's typical to think of the amount on how much you're possible to win.
250  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 15, 2024, 12:59:24 PM
If financial education taught in school, many people will realize to not hold fiat, it will make banks bankrupt and the economy would fail.
I agree, most people won't be saving their money in the banks because that's just going to decrease its value because of the inflation. Here in my country, people think that the more money you have in the bank, the wealthier you are. But I think that I am starting to see that belief changes over time and that is when a person has more assets, everyone is accepting the fact that he's wealthier than someone who has a lot of numbers in the bank. But with the education that we're having, it is being taught that we should keep most of our money in the banks to help the economy and for you to have more savings.
251  Local / Pilipinas / Re: SEC has now approved 11 spot bitcoin ETF on: January 15, 2024, 10:51:02 AM
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage - how to do it? on: January 14, 2024, 11:53:03 PM
I hear that with BTC arbitrage, people make 20-25% per year.

What is the best way to do that?
Where did you heard that? There's no such. However, you can do that with trading.

I want the coins and funds remain in my own account while making arbitrage.

Is there a free open source robot that can do that - and any tips you have?

If I remain with reliable brokers - what are the additional risks?

Thank you.
If you do the trade, your funds that are on your account will be moved. Yes, the funds remains on your account but they're going to be moved into the actual trade. It's like you are betting to the market and you don't want your funds to be taken by the casino? It's the same with what you're thinking and it is impossible to just see your own funds remain there while doing the trades.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to manage gambling winnings on: January 14, 2024, 10:18:30 PM
You have a good period of when you're doing your tally with your profits, so if you're tallying every 2 weeks on how much profit you've made and putting that directly on your savings with APY, that's good. I assume that you have emergency fund already and that's why you don't think of it and you're mostly going to repeat and rinse it until you make your bank a lot of money. And with all of the info you have said, you're supposed to be doing this as a full time, correct?

You should really know at least on keeping some side amount for other
day of doing gambling if you are really that interested into.
Not just for the other day of gambling but every time they make some wins, it's important to keep even just a bit of it. Think of it as your remembrance for winning.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 14, 2024, 08:23:37 PM
I don't believe what are posted on social media or on the internet nowadays. Many are just doing them for fame and contents but maybe, this has some inspirational experience that they've made them to do this. So for an instance, it really does happens but very rare.

Either way, it is quite a sad situation to be in, as a gambler addicted person, not to longer care about ones needs in that way.

255  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: January 14, 2024, 06:59:21 PM

256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 13, 2024, 10:21:31 PM
Tim Cone was just temporary by that time when he's in for the Asiad. I think that by this time, there's already a coach and they just have to announce it but I don't know when they're going to announce it. IMO, Tim Cone was actually good and he's got a different spirit than of Chot who keeps on gathering learning experiences.
I see, so  we will know soon if Tim Cone would really be the permanent coach of the team. Good thing Chot Reyes was not in the list, LOL. This guy destroyed our team and coach Tim Cone were able to fix that in just a short span of time, that's how extraordinary he is.
Yes, it's actually nicer if Tim Cone will be put there as permanent but it's still going to depend on their decision. But one good thing about him is that his coaching and he's got already the chemistry with the team even for just a less period of time.

If the fans were not complaining, I doubt SBP will replace coach Chot. We might hear the endless "learning experience" every time we lose.
Fans got tired, they want a new one and good thing Tim Cone accept the challenge.
That's true, they're being thrown by the entire basketball nation and yet they didn't stepped up and didn't do anything during that time. We're already tired of learning and we've learned already and that's why we want to see not just some wins but victories.

Thanks, I read it already. Fresh news but we know the news on their next update already, as it will be Tim Cone that will head the team.
No prob mate. I'll still wait for the official announcement.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 13, 2024, 01:05:41 PM
. Anyway, this is still related to PBA and with some updates from the SBP about our national team Gilas, there is going to be a new official coach. Who's your guess, will it be Tim Cone, CTB, Norman Black, Ayo, who else?

New coach? Why? This is insane, Tim Cone coach our national team and brought us gold, why can't they make him as our regular coach? I say, there's no other coach that could deliver success to our country with our national team, it's only Tim Cone and not on the choices of coaches you mentioned. This is an international game, we saw how Tim Cone did beating China and RHJ's team in the Finals.

If they were able to retain coach Reyes that is full of criticism, why would they replace a coach (Tim Cone) that is full of praise for the success he brought?
They have given him the chance but Chot didn't deliver well and didn't listen to the fans. Whilst this time, one factor that the SBP rep said is that the next coach that the Gilas will have is the one who listens to the fans and everything for the sake and good of the team and country.

I don't understand anymore if this news you brought up is true.

258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 13, 2024, 11:06:19 AM
The PBA needs some boost with the fans going to the crowd and watching the games live again. This is for sure going to boost players confidence as well that many former NBA players that were top notch and legends want to play for the league. Converge can sign him but the thing is if the bosses are going to modify the height limit. Blatch expressed his frustration with that rule, we just want to see another team go in the finals and not always the San Mig, Ginebra, TNT finals. They have the money and that's really going to help the league itself and attract more people to be fans again.
Yes, and knowing pinoy fans they always love to see competition and not just known teams that will continue to dominate the league,  I mean not just SMC and MVP that always facing the finals, with former NBA stars who can really helps in improving the team that they'll going to play, that's really something that will bring big boost for the league, just a matter of time when  commissioner will announce their stand in this proposals.

Still the league of governors decision to make and how they will create rules regarding to this matter. Hoping for the best for PBA!
They can take the example of how did Dwight Howard brought a lot of active fans on the ring for the first time he'd played in Taiwan. It was jampacked, fully packed with fans and can we imagine how it is going to be if the first ever match of him will be on the Araneta, Cuneta(it's small), MOA arena or even in the Philippine Arena. I am sure that a lot of fans all over from the Philippines are going to buy that ticket and will cheer for that team. Anyway, this is still related to PBA and with some updates from the SBP about our national team Gilas, there is going to be a new official coach. Who's your guess, will it be Tim Cone, CTB, Norman Black, Ayo, who else?
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: January 13, 2024, 09:06:37 AM
There really is no problem with money for most of the teams but I think that it's going to be harder if the team that's rumored to take these NBA superstars are teams like Converge. They're not an MVP and SMC team and that's why these PBA management and superior governors/commissioners will have to consider if they'll allow some changes and adjustments for them to gather back the interest of the PBA filipino fans. Dwight is vocal on it and willing to commit to the league and I think that any team will offer him some contract, they can avail him. That's a big help to the league itself and for our country too to attract more NBA superstars that are no longer playing there.

For sure if Converge will able to sign him and win a title that's going to be a good hype for PBA, while we are waiting for possibility and how PBA will adjust to this kind of call from the fans, allowing it will give some competition in a short time since knowing both SMC and MVP's capabilities in easily and quickly adjusting to hire imports who got that same quality as Howard, and if ever that things really happened pretty sure Howard will have another excuse if he failed to win another title..
The PBA needs some boost with the fans going to the crowd and watching the games live again. This is for sure going to boost players confidence as well that many former NBA players that were top notch and legends want to play for the league. Converge can sign him but the thing is if the bosses are going to modify the height limit. @rachael OP or everyone that have the same scenario as you. You just have to accept what has happened and it's a situational moment that we always used to say or think that say with these what if moments of our lives. We have no time machine and we can't go back in the past. What we can do is to embrace the moment and cherish that moment that you've won such amounts because no one's going to do it for you but only you. Maybe disconnect that friend to your life and don't give any loans again ever.
