Today it was not a Gayle day and its impact we could see on KXIP, though Deepak played well for his 62 not out but target of 154 for CSK was just not that big. CSK comprehensively won the match with 9 wickets left. Top order played well for CSK in this match and Punjab bowlers dint look that effective today and not much wicket taking delivery that could have troubled the batsman.
Feeling bad for KXIP who is now out of the playoff race, despite some of the good turnaround matches they have played till now in last few matches this dint helped them to make it to top 4.

This is turning out to be a bad evening for cricket fans. Earlier we had one sided game in form of DC vs MI, where Mumbai thrashed the delhi, now RCB vs SRH seems to heading on the same direction. RCB's big guns already gone and they didn't even cross 100 runs. Considering its Sharjah and dew effect in second inning for bowling side, RCB is in deep trouble.
MI are in very good shape and its hard to beat them. I think they will be the deserving champion of this year IPL. However i think Royal Challengers Bangalore performance was disappointing today and if they lose this match (which look like they will), it will be a big upset for them. Too many teams on 14 and 12 points make every point crucial at this stage. This evening has being really too many ups and down like both the game being a low scoring game . Opening up more space now for the 4th spot as teams with equal points . Only thing here is if SRH wins the next match as well quite comfortable then with positive NRR then mostly they will make it and if they lose then it would be further interesting for other teams to make it . |

If both DC and RCB lose their matches, then everything will come down to the RCB vs DC clash on Monday. The winner will qualify for the playoffs.
And also the losing team may have chance to slip from the top four because lot of teams will stick with 14 points so the run rate will decide which one to go and definitely RCB and DC has less run rate difference even though they are in top of the table now. MI won the match one sided by 9 wickets and Ishan was not out at 72. DC is not consistent team and in last 5 matches they have lost 4. Only some days they play amazing cricket and rest of their matches are very ordinary and this would not help them in the upcoming matches with type of performances unless they make some change in plan as a team unit. MI will mostly be top of the table it seems now. |

What an innings by Universal Boss Chris Gayle but feeling bad for Gayle as he miss his hundred by 1 run. RR royals need 186 runs to win this game.It's do or die match for RR.
Congrats Chris Gayle for first player in T20 cricket history to smash 1000 Six.
Felt bad for Gayle for missing his well-deserved century just by a single run. RR is batting quite well and now required 67 in 48 balls and lost just 2 wickets. So, with this they could easily clinch this match unless lose couple of quick wickets. If RR wins then possibly, they can be at No 5 in ranking after this match as would be close in NRR with existing KKR at 5th spot. |

CSK still requires 36 runs from 20 balls and 7 wickets left. Ruturaj is batting well at 71 runs. Only thing here is that if CSK wins it then KKR will just make it more difficult for 4th spot, else if they win it then today they will be at 4th spot and also will remain in the content to be at No 4 if they will the last match as well.

RCB scored 164 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets. MI is a very good team in this season, and they are in a great from now. Now they are at the top of the points table. I don't think it is difficult for them to win this match by chasing 164 runs. However, this time IPL is so unpredictable. Anything can be happen.
First I thought maybe we will see a good match by Virat and AB. But unfortunately both have not played good match today. I don't know why they sad me most of the time.  BTW 164 is a good score for both side. If RCB can present their best performance it's possible to win this match, again if MI do little good they can easily reach the destination today. My bet to MI. I agree with you. If RCB wants to win today's match, they have to do their best bowling today. Otherwise, MI can win today's match with a little afford. 165 is not a big target for a good team like MI. After 5 over MI able to score 37 without losing any wickets. Match is on interesting mode as MI require 48 in 5 overs. If MI loses 1-2 wickets, then it would be more interesting else Pandya and Suryakumar are on crease and can easily chase down this target. Surya has completed his half century. Also, it is battle for 1st spot as well as if RCB wins it they move to 1st in ranking. |

So after this match, SRH will end up with 10 points. They need to win both their remaining matches, to have any realistic chance of qualifying for the playoffs. I guess they are going to win by a good margin, and that is going to help their run rate as well. Even before this match their net run rate was positive, and that gives them an advantage over teams such as KKR and KXIP.

For 4th spot, KXIP and KKR still will have better chance because any team who win their both matches straight away gets into top 4 and in that circumstance even SRH winning both matches will not help as they will still be at 14 points and KKR/KXIP will be at 16. For SRH, apart from winning they will now be depending upon the other 2 teams to lose their matches or atleast lose 1 match minimum and then it will be NRR. |

KKR gave a target of 150 runs. After watching the first few overs of the match I didn’t think they would be able to run so much. Gill and Morgan's partnership was very good. If Morgan could have played a few more overs, Kolkata might have been able to score 160 runs. 150 is a good target. KKR has a chance to win this match. But you know, KXIP's batting lineup is very good and everyone is in form now. If KXIP will win today's match, they may be able to play in the playoffs. Let's see who wins the game!
In Sharjah, even 160 is not a par score. You need somewhere around 180-190. I think it is going to be a cakewalk for Punjab. After 7 overs, they are firmly on track and haven't lost any wickets. For KKR, the pacers were unimpressive (don't know why the best bowler is not being called to bowl yet - Lockie Ferguson). The spinners (Sunil Narine & Varun Chakravarthy) are bowling economically, but if they want to have any chance in this match, then they need to take quick wickets. In Ideal situation this should be an easy match for KXIP to win it and considering their last few matches. Unless Punjab loses couple of wickets here and that could only give KKR some chance to put back pressure and this may be possible as in last few days have seen some amazing turnaround matches too. KXIP requires 64 in 8 overs and 9 wickets left. |

Kieron Pollard had 15 consecutive wins as the captain, and he may have to deal with a loss today. Pathetic bowling by the Mumbai Indians. After setting up such a good score in Abu Dhabi, they are unable to defend it. RR just need another 52 runs from 6 overs. Almost all the Mumbai bowlers have gone for more than 10 runs per over. Bumrah is having two overs remaining. Only he can do any miracle for MI.
Unfortunately Bumrah also was not spared today and went for 38runs . It was Stokes century and Samson 54 superb batting that build a good partnership and made it look easy chasing this huge score and won comfortably in the end by 8 wickets . From last couple of days match is swinging for the team which in start does not seems may win , but in the end result is different. |

Today was happy to see CSK approach to the match and some excellent shot selection by Ruturaj which helped CSK to register an easy win over RCB. Also, this is the first time CSK could not make it to top 4 in entire IPL seasons other than those 2 suspended seasons.
In another match Hardik Pandya quick 33 not out in 15 balls has helped them reach 167/5 in 18.4 overs and looking easy to cross 180+ runs and will be interesting to see if Rahul Tewatia would be promoted up the order or continue to bat at No 7 only.
Edit : Hardik hit 7 sixes and made 60 not out in just 21 balls and MI reached 195/5 in 20 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad is taking the match really close and Manish Pandey wasted many balls and then lost his wicket and they are in a bit of trouble while i thought they will be winning the match easily, they still have wickets at hand but if they loose a couple of wickets they will be in real trouble even though they just need 17 runs to win from 14 balls. The only positive for them is that the main bowlers finished their overs and they have Jordan and Arshdeep Singh to finish the rest of the overs. Edit: lost another wicket  This real time drama can cost SRH this match as just few minutes back I was feeling they are going to win this match very easily but suddenly they lost this temperment and now struggling really good fight back by KXIP 15 runs with 9 balls left and just 4 four wickets in hand what a drama happening in last part of play. What a victory by KXIP, they snatched the victory from SRH as it was supposed to be easy win for SRH and I was of same opine that they will win it . But all credit to KXIP bowlers and team for picking early wickets and then when SRH stabilised in between innings they fought back later and picked up remaining wickets and won in the end by 12 runs. |

KXIP top order batsman all of them got start but regular wickets crushed their hopes of a big score and at end of 17 overs are just 101/5. As usual Rashid with brilliant spell of 14/2 in 4 overs. Should be an easy win for SRH unless they lose too many early wickets and will move closer to their 4th spot in ranking. Out of 15 matches between them before, SRH leading by 11-4.
