INTERSANGO BANKRUPT !!!! will probably be the next announcment  Roll Eyes
2402  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [Gauging Interest] BTCST Sub Accounts (PPT) paying 6.8%+ weekly on: July 25, 2012, 02:04:04 AM
With the announcement that BTCST will push back the August 1st date until August 13th, I will be making a final decision 1 week later (August 1st).

If I can achieve deposits that exceed the threshold for 7% before August 1st all the better.

What are the terms of the agreement ?

This is partially answered in the OP.  namely, 168 hour minimum deposit, interest can be paid or compounded, rates above 6.8% for "untouched" accounts at 4,8,and 12 weeks.  If you need a more specific answer please let me know.

Does a Sub account investor with 25% or 50% have the same priviledges as you  ?
25 or 50% of what exactly?  Sorry, not following this question...  Huh

Do they get their own BTCST account login ? Is there name listed on agreement
Waiting to have this clarified when the new software is loaded on the BTCST site -- maybe around August 1st.

as owning  certain % with Pirate or is it still giving money to some  anonymous interent guy

in another ppt scheme  ?(not that ppt schemes are bad ,its just harder to confidently send large amounts when you dont know who you are dealing with ) esp on BTC

Yes, all funds are a sub account with BTCST (Pirate).  The funds are 100% invested and the 6.8% min. rate is based on the current 7% maximum rate for a trust account.  If, in the future rates changes (up or down) I would adjust the min rate accordingly (i.e., I cannot pay 6.8% if the trust maximum rate is 5%).

As far as trust.  Please review my history with the community.  My OTC feedback is listed in my signature and I (along with two partners) run YABMC on GLBSE.  I am happy to discuss any concerns privately.

Nobody doubts your own personal honesty but to invest thousands of coins i would need more guarantee than a few honest forum transactions in your history

there is a differnce between investing to you and directly into the BTCST which maybe  risky in itself Smiley  but  id rather invest in the BTCST directly than lend coins to someone who plans to  invest them there

it puts another thing into the equasion  that can go wrong,if your  personal wallet gets hacked etc or all your (+our ) coins get stolen on the way to or the way back from the BTCST account than obviously its not a BTCST problem

if our coins have to go to you personally and can only be withdrawn by you personally then we dont really own any  % of the BTCST investment ,they own a personal debt to you but have no rights at all regarding the BTCST transcations

If you were sick for example ,and the account is in your name Only there is no way anyone can get their coins back etc

thses are questions id like to see answered before putting a solid chunk of money in to the pot
2403  Economy / Economics / Re: How can PirateAt40 not be a Ponzi Scheme or otherwise damaging Bitcoin ? on: July 25, 2012, 01:41:22 AM
it only needs 1 filthy rich person to look at bitcoin and think "thats a great idea,i could use it for X,Y and Z  ,im buying this "  to make it a runaway success

although ,1 filthy rich person could also pay a criptograper to copy bitcoin and mine the first milion or two coins  himself and call them billgates-coin or whatever

then encourage investors to pick it up by offering discounts into his other product if they are purchased  with

the so -called coin

very interesting to see how it goes and where it all ends up .........
2404  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Intersango Exchange on: July 25, 2012, 01:10:04 AM
no,intersango and/or metro bank have an error in the user interface  about some technical failure

are you just blindly defending their incompetence without reading whats actually being posted ?

do they pay you well for this ?

Possibly this isn't 100% clear, if so that's my fault.

The issue with metro is only about funds being sent by us.

It has nothing to do with payments into the account.

I've updated the withdrawals blackout notice to make it clear that it's between the 26th and 30th and not until the 26th or 30th.

Hopefully that helps.

Lies,lies and ..........more lies ...........
2405  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Intersango Exchange on: July 25, 2012, 12:27:35 AM
I then called Metro bank to ask them if they were any such technical errors resulting in late deposits etc and they had no idea what i was talking about and everything is apparently fine at Metro bank also

The call center operators both do not know about issues with specific accounts and more so would not tell you even if they did.

I believe bank staff would know if there was technical errors causing deposits to not show up ,another day passes and no money credited by interango EVEN THOUGH ITS BEEN IN THEIR ACCOUNT SINCE LAST FRIDAY

INTERSANGO SCAMMERS or LIARS or both ??

Are you going to pay interest on the deposits youre withholding ?
2406  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Intersango Exchange on: July 24, 2012, 04:21:03 PM
Having the same issue as most people when crediting my intersango account....
any ETA on when the Metro Bank "Technical" Issue will be resolved?

A technical issue ..........Smiley

Only quoting what's on their website!

Metro Bank (UK)   - Technical error on Metro interface.

I have called Santander and they say 100% they transfer to Intersangos Metro Bank Account was processed last friday

I then called Metro bank to ask them if they were any such technical errors resulting in late deposits etc and they had no idea what i was talking about and everything is apparently fine at Metro bank also

Which brings us back to Intersango ............. who are not telling us the truth for some reason and suggested to me my bank had not sent the money

WRONG

I had made an error in the reference code

WRONG

The Problem is a banking error which will be fixed by monday

WRONG

Now the problem is a technical error with no further lies to complicate the situation further .......

are they broke or what ? Smiley

2408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Killer App: High Yield Investments on: July 24, 2012, 02:22:19 PM
its not 3400% pa special ....... Smiley
See, 7% a week is not necessary the same as 3400% pa.
Lets say someone exchanges all those coins to fiat and back each week. Lets assume that he makes 10% from it and pays his lenders 7%. So a lender would "only" get 7% * 52weeks = 364%pa. If at the same time the business grows, it could look like as one could simply compound, while in fact this is not the case.

but there IS an option to let the interest compound into the principal to generate further revenue

Pirate actually ENCOURAGES people to re-invest the compounded gains

so what is now the case ?
2409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Killer App: High Yield Investments on: July 24, 2012, 01:16:50 PM
Bitcoin is special but not THAT special.  Mageant, you are not convincing anyone here but yourself.
Actually it is that special

its not 3400% pa special ....... Smiley

sell your house for a million dollars ........
sleep in a tent for 12 months .......
invest it for just 1 year .......

cash out and walk away with 34 million dollars ?

the program is working perfectly
2412  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Intersango Exchange on: July 24, 2012, 09:18:32 AM
Small withdraw of like £159 was set to "Sent" (not pending) last Tuesday, still not in bank - suspect xfer was never initiated.

UK BACS takes 3 working days max normally.

I accidentally marked a bunch of payments as sent which shouldn't have been.

Mostly this effected people with bitcoin transfers (almost all of which have now been corrected), but some UK transfers were also effected.

If a UK transfer is marked as 'sent' and you have not received it after 48 hours open a ticket and someone will investigate.

Santander insist they have credited intersangos metro account last friday and as of yet there is no balance in my Intersango account

INtersango said it would be processed by monday due to technical error (lack of funds maybe ? ) and its still not there

Is intersango on that slippery slope of insolvency ?

it takes 2 hours uk to uk

something is wrong at intersango and they are not telling us about it

I've been giving some thought to how he's able to continue the payouts he's making, and something doesn't add up.

It seems like a classic Ponzi, but with his recent activity of market moving, something more sinister and damaging seems afoot.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

bitcoin is bigger than PirateAt40  or even SilkRoad

bitcoin will still  be around ,when they are  long gone

We are all going to be rich! Stop trying to stop us! How dare you! Do you really expect us to stop deluding ourselves and start doing something productive?  Smiley

BTW you can add all the so called pirate pass through bonds to your list. The are just his co-conspirators who would be equally liable for fraud IMO once/if "savings and trust", lol, is revealed as a ponzi (so would be every singe ponzi promoter on this forum).

A ponzi is not a ponzi until it defaults ......or is it ?

ATTN ADMIN - #31459

Hi,

We were having issues earlier in the week with our backend bitcoind. While we temporarily were able to solve the problem we later realised it was a problem that required a new hardware configuration to be permanently solve.

The new hardware has been procured and the issue was solved early yesterday. We now have to manually process the effected transfers that were not sent during that time.

Please allow some time for our administrator to resolve the issue.

We would like to apologise for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Team Intersango

I hope you get your funds but what Intersango says and what Intersango does is two galaxies apart.

Things are NOT running smoothly at intersango ,i am waiting on my GBP deposit to be credited to my account since friday .........(4 days from one uk bank to another )

Hi,

We have been having some difficulties with our UK bank which has been delaying some payments and as a result of a technical error on their end we have not been able to send out payments for the past 2 days. We are expecting these issues to be resolved on Monday.

We know that this inconveniences many people and would like to apologise. While we have a couple incidents with our bank (due to technical problems on our bank's end) we have been working to decrease the resolution time of such issues.

Metro bank has been very supportive of us and despite these issues they have provided a much better service and we have had far less down time in the past two months then ever in our history. We have been told that we will not experience an unexpected and unexplained closure and we have no longer had to spend fortunes or spend hours a week on the phone and have multiple week long issues. With previous banks we were lucky to simply get responses. These banking issues are part of the reason we feel so strong about bitcoin in the first place.

Due to the support of Metro bank Intersango has finally been able to support its staff and has no fear about it's future. Again we are sorry for the inconveniences but I assure you that we are doing everything we can.

All payment Inquiry tickets will be left open and dealt with when this issue is resolved (hopefully Monday)

Sincerely,
Team Intersango

2420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin really need an ATM? on: July 23, 2012, 08:16:17 AM
I think the real ATM Bitcoin needs is the one every user already has, made by Hewlett-Packard / Epson / Canon / Brother / Lexmark / etc... the one where the user can Be Their Own Bank and print their own money.  I would sort of agree, an ATM as we know it is pointless.

USE CASES: If a user has X and needs Y, then he should Z

If a user has DIGITAL BITCOINS (e.g. on a smartphone) and he needs PAPER SCANNABLE bitcoins, and he is not somewhere where he can print some himself, he can get by with an app that shows a QR code on the screen.

If a user has DIGITAL BITCOINS and he needs FIAT CASH, he can get by with a regular banking ATM card funded by Bitcoins.

If a user has PAPER SCANNABLE bitcoins and he needs DIGITAL BITCOINS, he can scan or hand-type the private key somewhere.

If a user has FIAT CASH and needs to buy BITCOINS, what he needs is a vending machine.

I need to buy one of these and relabel it Casascius Coins.

Who is going to protect it ? 24/7 ?
Who is going to fill it up ?
WHo is going to pay for all that ?

Most vending machines get attacked and vanadalised regularly ,and they only have
candy and drinks in them

if there is going to be one that contains virtual and fiat money its going to be a target for theives ,this goes double if/when bitcoins are more valuable in the future
