Settle in a different country where cost is low. Problem solved.

like where ?  Roll Eyes

I heard Central America is cheap.

Not to mention countries in crysis like Spain. You can get a cheap house there due to recession.

there is a matter of visas if you dont live in another EU country already
its similar to the greencards situation in the US
its not so simple as deciding to pick a country and live there  in most cases
1402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Delusional bulls be Like... on: January 29, 2015, 04:42:07 PM
well they are not alone at having such doubts about bitcoin's inherent problems... they've seen enough of bitcoin to make those conclusions, even Max Keiser doesn't shill for bitcoin and had to resort to his own clones... what worries me about bitcoin is lack of innovation, the politics that's draining resources while eventually losing its race to more efficient and user-friendly technologies... reminds me UNIX back in the days being taken over by Linux... as much as people whine about ripple being centralized,  isn't bitcoin moving towards that direction already...? soon we're going to end up with just a handful of regulated exchanges, big ass mining operators that will push out average joe... you can imagine where ripple is going to be by the time all those inherent flaws of bitcoin are addressed...? And here comes the worst test for bitcoin what happens once all those big miners exit as soon as it's fully mined, if there's not going to be real demand for blockchain the price will be so ridiculously low by then that they are not going to be there for TX fees that's for sure... as you know that hashrate is what keeps blockchain secure... At least one thing i like about ripple is that it doesn't feed greedy asic manufacturers, cloud mining operations and lazy ass clowns from bitcoin foundation...

I will just leave this here too

I got an E-mail update from Linkedin, I checked out and it seems like some of Bitstamp employees were changing their work to a new company called GateHub Limited., So I Googled it to try to understand the reasons behind it and came to find this

This is what was interesting to me:

Quote from: GateHub link=https://xrptalk.org/topic/5293-opening-gatehub-february-2015/

For me it all started with Bitcoin. While studying architecture and working as a freelance web designer and developer, Nejc Kodrič contacted me one day and asked me to design him a website. He explained what Bitcoin is and how he believes it will change the world. I thought he was nuts. But after a while it became clear that we could make the world a better place. Bitcoin is amazing but it has limitations when it comes to everyday use. That’s where Ripple steps in.

Working for Bitstamp from the very beginning made me very fortunate to be one of the first people to get to know Ripple.

It was hard to grasp on everything it can do. But after using it for a while I realized that the founders of this protocol are up to something. Money right now is boring. There is no Twitter, Instagram or Facebook for money. You can’t have cool apps to visualize your income or spending. The reason for that is simply because we don’t have a protocol through which these apps could communicate with each other. We don’t have an API for money.

Ripple is that protocol, it is that API which we can use right now.

Knowing all that I decided that the only way to make everybody see the future is to bring the future to them. That’s how the idea of a new gateway was born. Me and my colleagues worked very hard for the last year to create something truly useful.

We hope you’ll love it as much as we do!

so what colour are asians ? Cheesy

What part of Asia? Mongols and ppl from syberia are whites. In south India you can find ppl with black (very dark brown) skin... and every possible shades in between the two as you go from the north to the south Smiley.

there are albino afghans in pakistan that look remarkably white for that part of the world ,not many of them but when you live there you will notice them for sure ,theres an exception to every rule .......
1406  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "People of color", actually aren't. on: January 29, 2015, 03:03:30 PM
The whole concept of race and racism is utterly moronic, speaking as an artist who is actually having to study skin tones etc. I can assure you 'white' people are not white and 'black' people are not black. Never mind the fact that single culturilism is dead and if you actually did DNA tests on all the people ranting about race constantly I guarantee you that 'white' people are going to have some variation of DNA in them that isn't what they think and the same goes for 'blacks' that hate anybody who isn't them.

Oh, just so we're clear, whites are actually extremely pale shades of pink or orange etc. and 'blacks' are extremely dark shades of brown.

1407  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "People of color", actually aren't. on: January 29, 2015, 03:02:04 PM
What strikes me is that the discussion is that Benedict said 'coloured' when he meant 'black', but he addressed the white dominance in brittish film, but not all minorities that are dominated by the white movie industrie are black, why should people be offended when called coloured when being called black is ok?

Actually, people who consider themselves to be politically correct will argue that people with black skin are African American not 'black'. I don't agree, since clearly not all people with black skin are from America or Africa. Political correctness has gotten way out of hand if you ask me. There are far too many SJW in internet land.

I don't identify people by their color normally, but if I were to trying identify one white guy amongst a group of "colored people" I would most likely say, "the white guy". Naturally if he were among other white people I'd try to find some other unique attribute and call him carrot top or neckbeard or "the dude in the pink shirt" instead. lol

Interestingly enough, I have never used or even heard anyone else use the term 'yellow guy' when referring to an Asian fellow or 'red man' when talking about a Native American Indian. Only recently have I heard 'brown' being used to identify East Indians, but usually it's been by other Indians.

Anyway, I don't see any harm in using colors to identify people (whose ethnicity eludes you) as long as you remain respectful.

chinese are yellow like  dehydrated urine ......Cheesy

...it will be because at some point, the innovation stopped or otherwise became impossible.

the credit card was invented in the 1950's
65 years later we still have them in our pockets Smiley

i think btc has plenty of innovation and future yet lol Cheesy
this is just the tip of the iceberg......
Those were charge cards. Actual credit cards began in the 60's and didn't gain much traction until the 70's. I tend to think of Bitcoin 2.0 as the next generation of credit cards. Credit is suffering because of security. Bitcoin is a steroid injection for security.

american express was not the  first and they launched theirs in 1958 but whether it was the 50's or 60's makes no differnce
well over half a century later the idea of buying with a plastic card is still realistic

its unimaginable where btc will be in another 50-60+ years and the things you might be able to do with it
the future is bright Smiley ,ignore the FUD spreaders ,theyre only being greedy now because of short positions
1409  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How much did you lose through Cryptodouble ? on: January 29, 2015, 02:20:21 PM
anyone stupid/greedy/gullible  enough to participate deserved to lose ....
and they will probably lose next time too ....the rich get richer ,the poor get poorer
somethings just dont change from real world money to crypto
1410  Economy / Speculation / Re: $100 to $125 still possible? on: January 29, 2015, 02:11:57 PM
Didn't you see how much volume there was at 155? I don't think anyone will let that level breaks for others to take cheaper coins than that... too many fat hands at sub 200.

People have been saying that exact same thing for the past year, just sub in different numbers.  No one thought it could break 500, then 400, then 300, then 200, now 100.  I wouldn't be surprised if we see double digits (if only for a day or few hours).  Interest just isn't there, and lots of people who have been burned are out now.

i dont know how you can say the interest is not there ,the infrastructure is expanding almost daily and the supply of coins will decrease over time
you got your eft ,block halving, regulated exchanges and maybe mcdonalds coming soon
its true some people who got goxxed will jump off the train but thats a small % and many more will get on to replace them
1411  Economy / Speculation / Re: $100 to $125 still possible? on: January 29, 2015, 02:01:14 PM
I think the pessimistic people are people who sold at a loss. Why else spend all day talking trash about bitcoin on forums and trying to create a negative mood?

Well, maybe they are the people who sold at the right price then. Its hard to be optimistic all the time when price falls from 600 to 200 in a matter of 2 months.

who said it should be easy ? volatility is not everyone
people who bought in the last year thinking they will triple their money or to  the moon are getting into a panic
its not going to be moon time for awhile ,think of it in years or even decades  ,not  days or weeks or months

1412  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sustaining prices versus dirty pump on: January 29, 2015, 01:57:26 PM
I don't think all of the mined coins are dumped. Some people even hold on to them .

Miners have to pay electricity, and it is risky to hold btc in a bear market. The bull market could start in few weeks, but who can afford to wait?

strong hands can wait ,peasants will be pushed out
you decide now which side you want to be on
panic sell like a pussy or grow some balls and ride out the storm
its up to you ......

I'd be surprised if we hit below $150 again...too many people won't be able to resist such cheap coins.

You're looking at this the wrong way. $150 coins aren't cheap. They're ridiculously overvalued. The only thing Bitcoin's "good" for is buying illegal stuff on the deep web. The blockchain can handle a whopping 2.7 transactions per second, which makes Bitcoin completely useless as anything resembling a mainstream currency. After this Gox bubble/speculation phase, Bitcoin will go back to a reasonable and sustainable value which reflects its potential as a deep web currency for criminals. That value is somewhere in the double or single digits.

Bitcoin had its fifteen minutes of fame.
Oh yeah for sure and that's why winkles are investing into this and working on this, cuz it's already doomed. Makes no sense Wink u probably already sold right?

Large investors put money in Enron too, shortly before it went bankrupt. It's not uncommon for rich people to make bad investments.

it would only fail if we let it fail and i wont ,and i know many others who will continue using it and supporting it
its not a company that can go bankrupt
thats one of the mains strengths of btc  ,there is no greedy CEO to make bad decisions

a better campain to start  would be to use your own wallet instead of an exchange adddress  for incoming  deposits
,third party payments and ad signature payments you may be getting

only an idiot would leave money in an exchange after the last 5 years of catastrophic failures

you can always send it to the exchange IF NECESSARY

you should NOT use an exchange for storage like a bank
