2401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which books have you read on: December 08, 2019, 03:12:58 PM
I haven't read much books but I have seen a few good books out there. I've happened to chance upon A Beginner’s Guide To Day Trading Online and Mastering The Trade in my online searches but haven't really read much about it. It is good to rely on books, but it still limits everything that you could actually learn in forums and discussions, so imo, discussions plus experience are better. Plus, losing isn't really anything bad, it's actually experience. At least, you know whats the worst that could happen to you.
2402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Effective Telegram SCAM report ? on: December 07, 2019, 05:50:37 PM
I wish more and more people get the will to report scams. Some people once they are scammed just don't do anything and go silent, leaving the scammer at large with the possibility of scamming more people.

I hope the new Telegram feature helps to fight and reduce the rampant scams in telegram
Well, I'd say those people have had enough and instead of reporting, they just let it go. I've had moments like those and honestly, being scammed at times is really tiring and even if I did report them, the time spent and money spent wouldn't really come back to me even if I do perform such actions which is kinda sad as an attitude. I've recently started changing this attitude of mine and am trying to actively report scammers now adays.

I still wish for the automatic scam detection thingy in the world or rather, why can't just scammers stop scamming others and cooperate instead to earn money and develop projects jeez.
2403  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Ano mga legit na alternative sa coins.ph sa pag withdraw kahit one day process? on: December 07, 2019, 05:33:15 PM
Banks, Abra or you can buy naman from a trader na nagbebenta ng malaking BTC sa PH. Mas madali yung trade lang with another peer kasi less hassle, pero mahirap lang maghanap. Kung ayaw mo naman na ng coins, try mo Rebit.ph, as long as local lang naman yung trades mo. As for Abra, may different ways para makapagwithdraw like through Tambunting Pawnshop and Union bank. Pag di applicable sayo both, try mo ilookup yung partner banks ng Abra since meron yun.
2404  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Kraken better than Coinbase Now? on: December 07, 2019, 05:16:16 PM
Hmmm. Preference I'd say? I prefer Kraken since I just joined trading a few months back and well, I got wind of Kraken first before Coinbase. That resulted in me getting used to it after a few weeks and well, even if I see Coinbase being good, I still prefer using kraken. The unfortunate thing about Kraken though is that it lacks the wide array of choices for exchange and seems kind of lacking in comparison with other exchanges but eh, what you prefer to use right.
2405  Economy / Speculation / Re: Question for the Speculators... (experiment) on: December 07, 2019, 03:59:50 PM
I guess the chances are mostly on the trader losing the BTC. Trading ain't really that easy and well, most of the posts here in speculation are actually analysis of movements already done. People with no knowledge of trading learn not from the result, but rather the process. Besides, even if he questioned people here, each and every one of us actually has a different trading plan being followed so I doubt any answer could possibly be helpful to him/her.
This is in the case of short term experiment though. In the long term, ngl, no need to view this forum. Just leave it there and wait a year, that should work out quite fine.
2406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for increasing and decreasing money on: December 07, 2019, 02:36:18 PM
1. If you have a lot of money, go gambling to reduce them.
What made you think of this idea lmao. Having a lot of money was never a bad thing, so why would you even spend so much on an activity you actually don't enjoy much? Gamblers play gambling because of:
  • Its fun
  • They could potentially win jackpots
  • They enjoy the thrill of gambling
  • ITS FUN OKAY
Pretty simple things to understand tbh. Greed only becomes the problem when addiction starts to kick in. Gambling is fun, and its great. But addiction corrupts the activity itself, making it look bad in the eyes of most.
2407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new to bitcoin, how do i buy? on: December 06, 2019, 06:07:36 PM
Can you share which country you are in right now? There are localBTC exchanges in a few selected countries that could really help you in trading BTC since it lessens the hassle involved. If you don't want to, you can look up some of the famous exchanges out there like coinbase or binance. Take care of KYC though, since I myself don't really like it. But it does limit your privileges so it really is up to you whether you'd want to KYC or not.
2408  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose? on: December 06, 2019, 06:00:37 PM
Right now? Fiat. Crypto is still way too young. Its at its infancy stage right now, and well, fighting it against Fiat, even though it has accumulated a lot of debt so far, still guarantees its defeat. We still have time though, we just have to wait. Wait until crpyto has developed so far that fiat has no choice but to accept, accept that crypto has now replaced its place in the globe. But as of now, Fiat. Crypto is being used right now constantly on the market to let it grow, to let the masses know what they are, which massively contributes to their ability to be integrated to our lives.
2409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Games that everybody likes on: December 06, 2019, 05:43:10 PM
Most players often enjoy slots, dice, blackjack, roulette. I personally prefer playing blackjack and dice though I occasionally play a bit of Poker. When it comes to sports though, I prefer doing gambling on Tennis and American Football. I both enjoy watching them and seeing my bets win after all. Plus, it really is quite handy that I actually learn stuff from watching these kinds of sports. Makes it more fun to watch them again. I also occasionally watch esports though and have gotten into betting in a few of them. Still a bit new to the mechanics but eh, its quite fun to watch so I might learn it sometime.
2410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Accurate Bitcoin Price Prediction (going on the record again) on: December 05, 2019, 06:19:29 PM
Seeing as how BTC failed to push through 8k, I guess a lot are now doubting the market of BTC, specifically those new traders. Pretty much just fear right now in the hearts of most newbie traders, which leads to them selling BTC suddenly. IMO, this is actually the timeframe for whales or even just traders to start accumulating BTC. Its a great opportunity since the chart is pretty much moving sideways downward and doesn't really show much of a movement towards a bearish or bullish run.
2411  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Now we know the truth about crypto exchange fees! on: December 05, 2019, 05:59:10 PM
The truth about crypto exchange fees, is that they are fees. Bow. Nothing more nothing else. They are fees, no lies involved. Jeez.
Quote
To get these numbers, we didn’t just rely on the documentation provided by each cryptocurrency exchange, since this is oftens purposefully confusing to make it difficult to determine the commission costs. Instead, we registered at each platform, made a deposit, and placed a trade to ascertain exactly how much a trader can expect to lose due to commission with each trade
If they actually did this, then whats the point? This is basically the same as us traders trying out the exchange platforms and experiencing the fees ourselves. What exactly does your app even help with? Besides, even if we are beginners, I'd still rather experience the fees myself, helps with the management of the funds I currently have. At least, I know what happens.
2412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 5 candidates predicted by bookies to win Miss Universe 2019 on: December 05, 2019, 05:38:14 PM
I'm all in in it for PH. IT is my country after all, and well, reaching this point today could be said that she deserves the crown. Though personal preference, I quite like the Brazil representative. Quite simple but still attracts my eye every time. Not gonna say that the other contestants don't but there's a magnetic charm or something of the like. There's also the representative of US, not gonna lie, seems like quite a battle between these reps.
2413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Using a trader from my portfolio on: December 04, 2019, 06:06:18 PM
Just learn learn learn. No need to let those so called traders manage your account for you. The best person to hold and invest your money is you yourself. That way, when sht goes wrong, you have no one to blame right? Close to a 100% chance that its a scammer, and even if there was a 1% chance of him not being one, I still wouldn't risk it. It's honestly both a waste of money and time. I'd rather watch YT and study from there honestly. Easier, and I can adjust it to my time frame as well.
2414  Economy / Economics / Re: How does the US and China trade war affect bitcon? How do people think ? on: December 04, 2019, 05:34:08 PM
Neither Schneider. Trade war would do nothing to Bitcoin either way, its not like if one side falls, BTC would fall. Sure, the economy may be affected but it wouldn't actually bring diverse effects on it.  It's just the usual, supply and demand, BTC rising and falling every now and then, BTC popping off suddenly kind of things. Its like you're asking how two neighbors fighting each other can actually affect their dogs, which doesn't really relate at all to them
2415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can one have any expertise in Speculating? on: December 04, 2019, 04:59:27 PM
Well, I guess you could say everyone started from copying off from another. It's basically stealing knowledge and using it for yourself. It's not bad, but still, it is needed that you yourself have your own strategy, your own style, and your own way of development compared to other. Plus, it is kind of impossible for one to develop without even a simple starting point to go to, and if there's none, then you can't really call it speculation anymore, since the basics are already dead just in the beginning.
2416  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin value on: December 04, 2019, 04:33:27 PM
Yes, it could, but the question is when. It isn't really foreseeable right now as to when BTC would actually reach another ATH, like how it was back in 2017, but it would eventually reach so. Plus, it has a greater chance right now with the halving inching closer to us, which would occur at May 2020. Expect a BTC comeback from the recent bear runs.
2417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: This is definitely huge for Binance traders! on: December 03, 2019, 04:24:36 PM
Bit late don't you think? Pretty sure a lot of exchanges have already implemented this, and Binance, well, IDK why they took so long implementing something simple as this. Plus, its kinda expected already? Its expected. Nothing new here. Just Binance doing something they SHOULD be doing kind of thing. Nothing noteworthy of celebration tbh. Poster above said what should be celebrated though. No KYC with large transactions? Everybody rejoice then.
Plus, online wallet and computer wallets are generally not trusted.
2419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Truly Random is Random on: December 03, 2019, 03:09:17 PM
You know how every mathematical problem has a solution? It's kinda similar with the choice of randomness. Its like, every random choice, combined with another, and then one more, can possible be solved using a solution. This might result in the randomness, not being random anymore. Plus, the group we actually manipulate with our randomness is finite, which is why it seems that it's not actually random, and there is a thought process to it. Heck, you even think of answering multiple choices with patterns right? But imagine if there were infinite choices, randomizing then and there could truly be called random.
2420  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Certificates on the Blockchain on: December 03, 2019, 02:27:50 PM
I like the idea but it's not that easy to implement. Some camps opposed the passage of national ID law before and they claim na invasion of privacy daw at kung ano pang mga dahilan nila.
Problem with PH tbh. Like, iniisip nila na pag may problema walang solusyon, so ano gagawin? Wag gawin. So basically, information is still shared right?
