Yes, that's exactly what happened. And no, I do not like it, there should be at least option to show/hide real transactions. They may use "condensed" view, but at tehe end there was transation (could be displayed even as a 2 lines) where a given input/output amount was used, not just "buring" a fee.
I do understand your point. But I do understand "their" point too. While it's indeed a proper transaction and it should be displayed properly especially on a HW (I complained here and there that the change address and its funds are not visible when I sign a tx and I see that as a possible security issue), from wallet point of view only the fee has "left the wallet". So, as I said, it's not wrong. And yes, I completely agree, it should be done much better, probably in Electrum and HWs too.

Aaa now I understand (I think). I was trying to do "inter-wallet" transaction. One of them (Electrum I guess) tried to be "the smart one", that's why Trezor displayed only the amount "lost" for a fee.
If you look into Electrum at transactions history, that's what Electrum will also show in the list (as amount): only the amount spent/lost as fee. It's not actually wrong, but I agree it can be seen as misleading.

We believe in getting strong, hardware-based security to the mainstream. From what I know you don't offer backup of the seed, hence if your company dies, the user funds go with it. That's not how security should work. From what I know your wallet doesn't let user see what he's doing, leaving the door open for mistakes. Again, that's not how security should work. The fact we have to trust your word instead of looking into sources, is a topic already discussed. "they are selling all your other information" - No, we are not. Privacy is central. We have no way of connecting a wallet to a person's identity. The wallet is completely anonymous. Yet one cannot use this from outside of US, hence you most probably do connect a wallet to user IP(s). Sorry, but these claims coming in a technical area are... weak...

Other "paid driver" its Tsunoda, clearly Honda its putting him in that seat Well, Zhou Guanyu is also in a similar situation. Heck, from what I heard even Checo have bought his seat with funds from wealthy Mexican sponsors, especially at start (see here if you can stand the awful translation) And Lando Norris father is multi millionaire and Lance Stroll father bought whole team for his son . That's reality, you don't have big chance to get seat in F1 if you're poor. But there is difference that some paid drivers can deliver result (c'mon, even Stroll had few podiums) and there is guys like Latifi or Mazepin. Exactly. And while, as you said, even Stroll was able to deliver, Latifi (or Mazepin) didn't. Even Zhou had some reasonably OK races. Of course, most probably a big percentage of the blame goes to the cars too, but when the other driver with same car does on a constant manner significantly better... it's time to try somebody new. Don't forget that Ricciardo left Renault not in very nice way, so I think that his return to Alpine isn't very likely. It will be interesting time when many teams still don't have full lineup for next season and many drivers without contracts.
I fear that if he cannot go back to Alpine, there's not much other chance for him in F1. I don't think that he will go into much worse cars when he already did bad in better ones. I guess that we will have to get used to miss his big smile like the one from that McLaren 1-2 win.

Heck, from what I heard even Checo have bought his seat with funds from wealthy Mexican sponsors, especially at start (see here if you can stand the awful translation) Yuki stands much better than Latifi, but, indeed, I don't know for how long, since he doesn't seem to improve/mature fast enough. The thing is that Mick also may not be the right material there... and this has became visible when compared with K-Mag. So the near future can bring a lot of changes (but although it can, I don't know if it actually will).

I will add that if OP wants to send the HW to repair it's advised to send out his funds (but this means he will have to learn to set up a cold storage, other options are clearly unsafe). Or inserting PIN 3 times incorrectly would reset the device, but I would not count on that, especially since OP cannot see what he's doing.
Clearly, a completely new HW would be the safest solution.

You don't need to be rocket scientist to see what is happening with him, and by answering him all the time people are just feeding the troll. I understand when people answer him if they don't know the whole story, but when I saw a bunch of new topics created by him I had to react somehow.
As I said, I have a feeling he's not a troll. If I would have been thinking he's a troll, he would have been on my ignore list, I would have not been answering him. For example, one of his latest questions is not even that bad. That's cute, but naive It feels like doing the same work again. I would clearly not do that every year

I added him to my ignore list more than a year ago, after that he kept asking the same questions about claiming Forkcoins, which I eventually gave up answering. I'm not sure if he's just very insecure and needs continuous confirmation before doing something, but I can't be bothered anymore. He was in and out of my ignore list, he seems to spam less lately, or maybe I've just missed/skipped more of his topics. As I said, he's now in my ignore list. But I had an idea of cleaning my ignore list at Christmas and give a second chance (and probably filling the ignore list back during the year). I may or may not do that, depending on my mood at Christmas time. If you ask the same question over and over again, the kind of help you need can't be found on a Bitcoin forum. With no intention to offend anyone, this looks like a very valid point.

While I do understand a developer may have difficulties to find the best name for his product, I also tend to agree with @pooya87 that some of his work should have been already done at that date.
But it's not so difficult to change even such late from one name to another, since the nothing was released publicly yet at that date (please correct me if I'm wrong). So I think that it's probably the last two name candidates, not different "products".
From the dates I could even conclude that he first thought of Netcoin name and next day he got the idea of Bitcoin name.

Would you buy a skin that would make your hardware wallet unique? Since a HW is just a tool, since one should not brag about bitcoins hence this tool show be less visible, not more, sorry, but I don't see any good in such a skin. And for my Nano S anti-scratch protection is not needed (probably not even produced). So, sorry, but my answer is no.

Member jerry0 is back again with another round of his famous rinse & repeat topic questions. I am asking all members @NeuroticFish @Charles-Tim @jackg and all others to please stop answering to his questions and feeding this spammer. Look at his post history with feedback he received and you will understand why I am saying this. I obviously can't and won't stop anyone to play this circus game with him for the sake of writing few more posts in signature campaigns, but this is getting really silly.
I know that he tends to ask same questions over and over again. Still, I see him as a person needing help, not a malicious spammer. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. And considering this, while I am advocating people ask first, no matter what, instead of making mistakes, not answering him would mean double standards. Still, I will be considering your request (and instead of full explanation I could for example just link another similar topic, or put him on ignore). And about "for the sake of writing few more posts in signature campaigns", I find this unfair since if you look at my post history I mostly post more than the max paid by the campaign and 1-2 posts every now and then to jerry0 will not change anything. LE: I've made my mind. Since I don't want unnecessary drama, this guy will go for now to my ignore list. Happy?

Should I call it a desperation? Yep, it's pretty OK to do so. They got kicked out of SWIFT and the countries start also leaving the Russian alternative to SWIFT. What options do thy have? "Friendly" countries' CBDCs and probably Bitcoin. I fear though that this will give ammo to anti-bitcoin narrative again.

I cannot just make a transaction because I cannot go online with Core.
This is a problem. Then you will have to import them or sweep them, but .. please continue reading. I want to keep old address on new wallet. I am going to buy hardware wallet in future!
As I said, if you import only private keys, you will not have a HD wallet in Electrum. So it won't be based on a seed, it won't make new addresses for you when you need them. And this is suboptimal at best. If there are many addresses in Core and you don't mind consolidating your inputs, import all those in a new Electrum wallet so you can transact, then make a new proper Electrum wallet (HD) and send there. If the addresses are few and you don't want to consolidate, then, as said, use sweep. Or, if you don't plan to make transactions in the near future, you just import all the private keys into an Electrum wallet and wait for your HW where you'll create a new seed anyway; and then just send to HW. As you can see, sooner or later you will have to go away for good from the old addresses. You can keep the wallet.dat file (it's advised to never remove old keys since you never know what you've missed), but you'll have to leave the past behind.

However I also think McLaren will be returning much stronger than this next season. They must have been working on the upgrades of next season these days as this season has finished for them already. They can only try to leave Alpine behind at least but even this will be hard for them. Ocon - Alonso duo is more reliable than Norris - Ricciardo now. For next season I'm hopeful about Piastri too. If he makes a solid duo with Norris they can collect many more points as a team.
Somehow everybody seems to expect miracles from Piastri. Even Horner is talking about him, although I think that Checo has done a more than decent job there and even the slightest thought on replacing him would be unfair (and probably a mistake). McLaren cars were problematic this year. Actually all Mercedes cars had a weak start of the year. Even Norris did bad. Ricci just couldn't adapt to the car, I don't know, but he was not the main problem there. Luckily the Mercs seem to recover good and there's a good chance next year will be better. But if McLaren or Mercedes make another mistake in the setup and the next year will be bad again, even Piastri won't be able to make miracles. Don't misunderstand me, I would love to see real competition. But it's, by far, not only about the drivers there.

1) There is an old computer with Windows 7 on it and Bitcoin Core. I didn't use it for several years. And it's much too dangerous even to go online with it now.
2) There is a new computer with Windows 10 (or Windows 11, I am going to buy one today). I want to use Electrum on it. Instead of Core.
The best procedure to go from one make of wallet software to another is to actually make a transaction (maybe in the week-ends, when 1 sat/vbyte is most probably processed fast enough) and send the coins from one wallet to another. You can migrate by importing private keys, but then you will have no new change addresses, for example, hence too much hassle with weak results. However, I recommend you make sure the Electrum is legit (downloaded from electrum.org and also verified). I recommend you keep the seed backup safely offline. I recommend you consider acquiring a hardware wallet if the money in the wallet is significant.

1. You can make a setup with Mycelium and your Ledger Nano, if you have Android phone and you have the adaptor to do the job. After the initial setup, Mycelium can work even without your Ledger being connected and will show balance, transactions and even a proper receive address (just you have to pay attention to the address type you pick). Of course, if you want to send a transaction (i.e. sign it) you will need the actual Ledger connected there.
2. As said, export xPub into another (better) wallet.
3. This may be considered somewhat stupid or very basic, but it can be the easiest option at hand: When you're at home, use your Ledger with Electrum (too). Electrum has an Addresses tab. You can copy/paste into a text file a list of addresses you'll keep for such occasions, you can transfer that file into cloud/phone (it's just addresses, so it's not a big issue). Of course, you will have to maintain that list (now and then add new addresses and remove those used) if you don't want to end up giving multiple persons the same address or give addresses already used (not a problem, it's still your addresses, they don't expire, but it can be a privacy concern).

If I order the nano ledger s plus, is it the exact same cable as the nano ledger s? So you would connect the other end to a usb a port just like the nano ledger s would or does it use usb-c?
I don't understand how you managed to miss the official product page. However, here it is: https://shop.ledger.com/products/ledger-nano-s-plusIf you scroll down on that page, to what the package boxk contains, it tells it clearly: 1 hardware wallet, 1 USB-C to USB-A cable, 1 getting started leaflet, 3 recovery sheets, 1 keychain strap So no, it's not a cable like Nano S had (micro USB), it has an USB-C cable. I will add: Since any proper micro USB data cable worked with Nano S I expect any proper USB-C data cable will work with Nano S plus, so if you have different needs, you can easily adapt. Even more, you can easily find on the market (I've bought myself very cheap from AliExpress) adapters from USB-A to micro USB or USB-C ( see this post for an example) or adapters microUSB->USBC or USBC->microUSB. Of course, you can just buy the Ledger OTG kit if you don't mind paying a little extra. It contains 3 cables: micro-USB to USB-C, micro-USB to USB-A and USB-C to USB-C
