It all depends on screen size, resolution and browser settings (zoom).
I don't think that it makes much of a difference (both are small, lol!). I am not against it, but I also don't think it worth the hassle for the change.
I somewhat agree with SFR10 here: a more interesting change could be to also increase a little the size for normal post text too.

I get there's a preview button for saving drafts, but what exactly is causing the post content to get cleared when you hit the back button? JavaScript? This does not happen with forms on most other sites, JS or no JS.
I don't know if this helps, but if I start a post, then click somewhere else (usually by mistake, no matter it's another topic or out-of-bitcointalk link), when I hit the back button my text is there, nothing is cleared. So my first idea would be that maybe there's something on your local browser. I see PX-Z has the same conclusion. Maybe you can try this with a fresh browser (either in VM, either a completely new browser than what you use on a daily basis). If it helps, I've tested this on both Chromium and Firefox. |

Mă bucur să ştiu că sunt uneori un exemplu, chiar dacă ştiu că în fiecare postare pe care o fac există o mulţime de greşeli. Interesante postări din partea utilizatorului 1miau. Eu am considerat totuşi că soluţia cea mai potrivită îmbunătăţirii postărilor ar fi ca postările să vină în primul rând de la sine. Cine a avut sau are încă un blog ştie ce înseamnă să te trezeşti într-o dimineaţă şi pur şi simplu să te decizi să scrii o nouă postare, pur şi simplu pentru că aşa ţi-a venit. Dacă majoritatea de pe forum ar face acest lucru, cred că forumul ar arăta complet diferit.
Am mai spus-o pe aici şi continui să o spun. Postările care vorbesc despre cât de greu a fost să ajungă Membru Senior sau chiar Erou al forumului sunt în cea mai mare măsură fără sens şi o vrăjeală ieftină. Pentru că puţini depun un efort atât de semnificativ precum cel al lui 1miau sau fillippone şi totuşi au ajuns la nivelul lor (ca rang). Dacă 1miau sau fillippone ar vorbi despre cât de dificil le-a fost, i-aş înţelege. Dar în medie, efortul depus este minim. Şi spre ruşinea mea sau nu, mă aflu în acea categorie de efort minim, poate un pic spre mediu.
Aici nu sunt complet de acord. Există persoane care vor scrie ca pe blog, uneori venind cu chestii într-adevăr noi și informative, există persoane care vin să își rezolve o problemă, există persoane care vor încerca (unii vor chiar reuși) să rezolve problema, sau există oameni care doar își dau cu părerea. Și bineînțeles, mai sunt cei care vor scrie x postări pe săptămână, fie au ceva de zis, fie nu. Nu toți sunt la fel. Și efortul poate să difere chiar și în cazul celorlalți - unii știu chestii, alții trebuie să le caute. Clar, majoritatea încearcă să "facă treabă" cu cât mai puțin efort. Și din experiența mea, de multe ori treaba asta nu e nici măcar legată de faptul că postările ar fi plătite sau nu. (Adică am văzut comportament asemănător și pe Reddit, de exemplu; poate nu la același "nivel".) În plus, a greși e omenește. Și totul este în regulă daca omul nu "perseverează" în a greșeli. Şi tocmai de aceea, eu nu înţeleg. Dacă am venit aici şi vă răspund, înseamnă că am ceva de zis. Înseamnă că mă interesează subiectul şi am un gând de expus. Desigur că vor fi unele postări care, fără să îmi dau seama, vor fi aproape identice în esenţă cu alte postări pe care poate că am decis să nu le citesc sau pur şi simplu nu am realizat că fac pe Micul Alexandru. Sau Marele era cel care vorbea, sau amândoi?
În fine. Dacă te uiţi peste postările din primii ani ai forumului, observi că era o calitate mult mai ridicată a postărilor decât este astăzi. Asta pentru că pe vremea aceea lumea posta nu pentru a îndeplini cerinţele minime ale campaniei sub care erau înscrişi, ci pentru că voiau să spună ceva pe bune.
Cu cât mai multă lume este pe forum, cu atât mai mari șansele să scadă calitatea. Cel mai probabil toate afacerile din jurul forumul fac situația mai nasoală, dar cred că nu era prea roz nici fără... Noroc cu meritele, că devenise super nasol la un moment dat... Haideţi să fim serioşi. Dacă se deschidea acum un forum pentru obsedaţi ai ultimelor generaţii de nave spaţiale şi începeau să apară campanii care să plătească pentru postările utilizatorilor, ce ziceţi, dacă ne-am fi înscris noi trei care ar fi fost şansele să facem postări calitative?
Ai fi surprins  (sau na, cel puțin după o vreme...) Cultura generală și dorința de a învăța contează enorm... bineînțeles, ar trebui să ne fi și interesat subiectul Da, ne putem îmbunătăţi postările artificial. Dar dacă nu ne interesează, o facem degeaba. Aşa cum cred eu că nu ne-ar deranja dacă cineva ar fi agramat în secţiunea românească, dar cu condiţia ca persoana respectivă să vrea cu adevărat să înveţe. Ceea ce este cam rar astăzi.

Hallo! Can anyone help here.
I imported a key via mycelium but it didn't display any balance, only giving me addresses with zero balances. I rechecked in blockchain for balance and found it was there until now. I have since contacted mycelium support for assistance but nothing seems to be forthcoming.
Later i learnt that you can import a key that is with mycelium via electrum. I tried this but it doesn't seem to be working still. Is there someone out there who can help me on this?
Hi. 1. Your topic makes more sense in Wallet software board, maybe you can move it there. 2. Do you have a private key or a seed? You wrote about a key, then you said about address es. I am asking because from a seed you may recover addresses on various derivation paths. This means that there's a chance you had in the past addresses that started with 1 and now you got in Electrum addresses starting with bc1. So it worth knowing what addresses you're expecting. 3. Maybe you check the expected address (not key, not seed!) on a block explorer like https://mempool.space and see if there are indeed funds in there. If these don't help you may have to tell a bit more about your problem. Background - where's that key/seed from, how old the transactions, whatever you think it can help to understand what can cause your problem. |

I get the feeling that hollywood has tried to transform stories like FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried into blockbuster hits in the past. Although I don't remember specifics atm.
I find it more an attempt to milk recent events in the way Neflix has done it with F1 in "Drive to Survive". Just with actors. And for that a script mush be written fast. I don't know if it has been done before by Hollywood this fast after the event. I think in an 8 episode series they can cover everything, his biography, his personal life and, of course, the business.
It depends, since if there are too many references to past things (MtGox) or the context is getting widened enough (market cycles, Luna, Celsius, ..., plus the rivalry with Binance and CZ initial investment), they can even get longer than 8 episodes. And the context is still ... developing. See CZ / Coinbase drama. And since it's currently unnamed, I want to suggest a name for it. I would call it "FTXed".

Toate acestea le observ si eu. In toata media - radio, televizor, ziare, site-uri web. Mai toata lumea practica romgleza. E "cool" marfa, nu? Dar lumea nu mai foloseste nici macar expresia asta penala "e marfa" (care, oricum, nu are niciun sens din punct de vedere logic), ci prefera "e cool" sau "e trendy".
Ai uitat sa vorbesti despre vibe-ul care mai nou este tare in voga. In reclame la diverse site-uri aud mereu: "intra pe veveve blabla punct ro". Oare e atat de greu sa pronunte "intra pe dubluve dubluve dubluve blabla punct ro"? Si tot asa.
Asta si fiindca nu sunt in stare sa angajeze pe vreunul sa le configureze sistemul in asa fel incat sa mearga si blabla-punct-ro fara ve-ve-veu  Oricum, majoritatea si-au dat seama ca sunt pe langa, asa ca te trimit pe feisbuc sau insta, iar fara alea nici nu se mai invarte pamantul. Avea oare sens sa-i spun si ca, in mod normal, dupa punctul unei propozitii trebuie puse doua spatii -- asa cum faci tu, IntimitateG, asa cum facea chiar si Satoshi? Avea oare sens sa-i spun asta unuia care, in loc de "a avea sens" spunea ca "face sens"?  (Si da, spre rusinea mea, eu nu folosesc dubla spatiere, desi cunosc aceasta regula. Cum nu folosesc nici diacriticile, tot spre rusinea mea. Insa, macar, eu cunosc niste reguli de ortografie, ortoepie si punctuatie -- si aleg, uneori, deliberat, sa le ignor -- in vreme ce cel mentionat mai sus, alaturi de alte cateva milioane de romani habar n-au despre asa ceva, nestiind nici macar cum sa-si scrie corect numele.) La asta subscriu. Stiu de alte limbi unde s-a ajuns la tradus totul si se ajunge usor la situatii bizare. Cum limbajul este menit sa fie inteles de toti, traducerea substantivelor proprii este cel putin riscanta. Iar in acel caz eu consider ca este vorba de substantive proprii. |

How about the last few days Coinbase revealed their bitcoin balance? People have a selective way to read the news and this may have been missed by many. Well, that is good news --people have learned from what FTX and Binance drama and they are now afraid to store their funds on any centralized platforms. Actually I think that this a result of CZ FUD on Coinbase. He tweeted that Coinbase has issues / insufficient money, then removed that tweet later on, after it made its effects. You can read on this on all news and also on bitcointalk (for example here). But I don't think this has an effect on the market, as I see bitcoin does not have a reaction but instead it maintained on the price range where bitcoin struggled to resist. Panic is never good on the market. Panic can easily take the price lower. And if, by chance, another exchange bites the dust... it will not be pretty. Is there any news on Binance on how much bitcoin has been withdrawn? This is a good question. I don't know the answer, but I can guess that Binance, no matter CZ advertisements and CZ throwing stones towards the competition, is also tested by withdrawals. Sadly, I don't know the magnitude of that. |

What is more terrifying is if the create government creates mixers themselves to spy on users, this will be an option for them instead.
If you go on this path you can most probably also consider that many electrum servers, block explorers, maybe even mining pools too may be created/owned by governments. In the surveillance era you either go off grid, either take some chances. In most cases you are not targeted, even if, by chance, you've used government owned services too and your wallet privacy is (partially) lost. Or, maybe we're just too paranoid. We may never know. However, I loved the answer about CM being or not owned by govt: Try our customer service then try any gov customer service.

You have no idea what you're talking about and what money means. If he makes a properly backed stablecoin, then he cannot just give out that because he will soon spend all the funds (meaning he will have too much "backing" funds locked for that, which he won't be able to touch, unless he do scam like SBF) If he makes a stablecoin that's not backed (so out of thin air), as soon as that's being found out, the stablecoin will become worthless and he may end up in jail. So: 1. Crypto is not a get-rich-quick scheme. 2. No matter what he does, he won't give out free money. 3. You need to stop dreaming for free money and get learning so you can make yourself a proper future. |

Sorry, I didn't do such tests, I use this configuration locally. But if you install this Electrs and want to use from outside of the local computer, I think that a first step would be to set the correct address you're accessing it from, or, if you want to allow all addresses then probably electrum_rpc_addr = "0.0.0.0:50001" instead of electrum_rpc_addr = "127.0.0.1:50001" But I advise this only on LAN. If you go out of your LAN then you'll probably have to configure SSL too (and allow some port forwarding in your router too). Tor, sorry, I really don't know... |

Nu vazusem concursul la timp, asa ca, inca o data, se vede utilitatea acestui topic Multumesc Pai... eu unul sunt bulversat un pic... daca jetoanele au denominari de 0.0075 / 0.0025 BTC, de ce e clar ca nu contin BTC...? Din punctul meu de vedere, din contra, contin BTC. M-am tot uitat la poza concursului, chiar si cu zoom, dar nu imi pot da seama, din ce vad acolo, daca jetoanele sunt incarcate cu BTC sau nu, intrucat au hologramele acelea peste ele...
Pai, cel putin din exprimarea de acolo, hologramele o sa vina separat si aleator. Si daca nu au puse hologramele, inseamna ca nu au nici bani pe ele. Cel putin acesta a fost rationamentul meu. Acum, ca m-ai intrebat, m-am uitat din nou. In anuntul concursului se mai spune si ca detalii mai amanuntite despre premii sunt aici. Si acolo este specificat clar ca jetoanele sunt DYI. |

You are very much confused. Binance, no matter it offers both standard centralized exchange and also something they call P2P exchange (but with Binance as escrow!), it's centralized. Binance tries very hard to tell everybody how healthy they are and how big funds they have, although the funds they want to help others with are their own BUSD (which, if Binance falls, will become worthless). CZ is very active and pretty skilled in the war of exchanges and has the potential to keep Binance surviving even if, by chance, the image they are projecting is fake. However, it all also depend on how low will Bitcoin price go, how many other centralized platforms will fall (and whether Binance has exposure there) and how much money do Binance customers will withdraw to their own wallets. So all looks still stable for now, but never say never... |

Airdrops are related to altcoins. Most will give nothing or will give worthless coins you cannot exchange anywhere. Playing games.. I don't know. Faucets and websites that pay for views/clicks do exist and many do pay out (not all of them though!!!), but if you take into account the huge amount of time that requires, if you also take into account that your computer is also consuming electricity you'll pay for, ... it's not worth it. Afaik the most known and reputed faucet is https://freebitco.in/, if you want to start with something, but I recommend you do something more lucrative with your time (if nothing else, then learn some skills that can give you a better paid job) and just buy bitcoin with your fiat. |

The internet traffic is quite big for one full node already Over the past 106 days, my node (on clearnet) downloaded less than 1 GB per day, and uploaded 23 GB per day on average. I've set it to allow much more, so it's solely limited by the demand for data. For a server, it's not that much. At home, I don't expect my ISP to complain about uploading 23 GB per day continuously, but I also wouldn't want to find out. I didn't know the numbers, thank you for this, very good information. I think that with this kind of traffic (especially upload) the ISP may start keeping an eye on you the user, since I don't know of too many apps that generate such traffic apart of Bitcoin and the P2P file sharing services (like torrent). |

Eu unul sper ca acesta sa fie doar un inceput si sa te vedem tot mai prezent pe aici. Din pacate, in prezent, in sectiunea romaneasca sunt activi cel mult 5 utilizatori... Cu tine, am ajunge la 6.
Desi sunt de acord cu concluzia, nu sunt de acord cu acel numar (6). Sa spun 4 activi si deja ma consider generos... Nu stiu ce sa zic, insa afluxul acesta de engleza combinata cu romana este toxic si se inrautateste pe masura ce trece timpul... Nu stiu cum poate fi oprit. Poate doar cu cat mai multe initiative de genul sau cu cat mai multi "Pruteni"... Cert este ca, daca continuam asa, copiii si nepotii nostri cu siguranta nu vor mai (re)cunoaste limba noastra, asa cum este ea in realitate...
Desi Pruteanu exagera un pic (parerea mea..), ai totusi dreptate. Dar traim intr-o lume care pare sa se invarta in jurul reclamelor tv si a non-valorilor promovate la orice ora; cumva nu ma mir ca acesta este rezultatul. Dupa zeci de ani in care am asteptat americanii, acum ca au venit, daca nu baga omul 2-3 cuvinte in engleza, nu e "jmecher". Asta nu inseamna ca noi nu trebuie sa ne straduim. Asta doar inseamna ca problema e mult mai mare si nu se va rezolva prea usor. (Dar totusi cred/sper ca se va rezolva in timpul vietii noastre.) Depinde din ce perspectiva privim... Este posibil ca IntimitateaG sa nu fie doar un substantiv de gen feminin, ci si o persoana de sex feminin -- caz in care se schimba datele problemei Hehe, cred ca numai baietii au aceasta problema. I read that too, but it hardly justifies the usual low quality crypto news platforms reporting this as JP Morgan trademarking their own crypto wallet. JP Morgan are creating a wallet which will do many things. One of those things may, at some point, be allowing customers to buy and sell (but not own or transfer) bitcoin. But you can be 100% sure that all of those things will be complete centralized and and users will have exactly zero privacy or security over their funds.
This will be exactly like Robinhood or the Revolut example you gave. Just another shady, immoral, and often illegal third party offering worthless IOUs.
This is 100% correct. Yet, I start thinking that many actually need this kind of fake bubble / containment. They are here only for the profit, and don't care nor want to care about the technology, wallets and... self custody. Or maybe not yet. And then, instead of giving their money to a random Ponzi, a reputable bank could be the better choice. We do have to keep telling that IOUs are not the real thing, I don't deny that, but this is for those who don't want to read deeper. Some may read and wake up, some won't. I find it still a step forward in bringing bitcoin (heh, not really, but they don't know) to the masses. |
