2421  Economy / Economics / Re: Hi Excuse me Are currencies a "store of value on: December 02, 2019, 06:01:34 PM
The only thing that really keeps it's value is property. Even gold has been known to lose it's vale (see early 1990's).
Well yes. But property isn't generally used to help the economy restore itself, but rather gold. Gold has been known to be one of the steadiest properties that have not seen any huge changes in its price in the recent years. With Fiat currently collapsing literally on us, gold would still be the best choice instead of properties. Sad to say about how America has been printing money though. They know what is the issue but they refuse to address it and is instead preparing for another economic crash like the last time.
2422  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any beginners Here who Want start swing trading? on: December 02, 2019, 04:27:51 PM
Not gonna lie, I'd rather listen to your signals than trading tips and tricks and advice. The whole forum is already littered with tips and tricks and basics regarding trading so the only thing that would actually be sensible to listen to would be signals. As for advice, well, not really needed since anyone who has started trading would already know what to do. Should probably instead create a telegram group where entrance is free where you can share your stuff.
2423  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: Bearish retest in play? on: December 02, 2019, 04:14:11 PM
With how the price has actually stagnated, I'd say its close to a bearish retest instead of a reversal. Sure, it bounced back from 6.5k to 7.2k in a matter of hours but then it stagnated. It didn't show any bullish push after that and instead is actually moving sideways downward. Just now, price is at 7.3k, when it was 7.5k the last few days. I'd say the bears are finding the perfect time to pull back the price once again, and are just testing the waters right now to see if bulls are able to fight back.
2424  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase Holds a Whopping 966,230 Bitcoin ($7B) in Cold Wallet on: December 02, 2019, 03:35:03 PM
I'm also quite skeptical about such kind of publicity. But I guess it attracts more investors and traders into their platform. It gives potential clients assurance and comfort knowing the reputation of Coinbase is backed up by the whopping amount of their holdings. I think they know what they're doing and whether or not they have that amount, it's an advertising strategy and positioning their dominance in the market, now that another halving would occur and an increase number of new investors are expected to eye on cryptocurrencies.
I really doubt its worth revealing that kind of information for a bit of advertisement and publicity. that is unless they are completely sure about the security of their wallets. But well, we all know that no system is perfect, no code can't be decoded, no house can't be entered. Besides, their already an old timer, ngl. I see no need to further advertise their abilities to the public when the public already knows that they are quite reputable and a lot of users have trust in their company.
2425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market orders on: December 01, 2019, 06:17:05 PM
Iirc, there are bots in telegram that could tell what you want. I'm not particularly sure though since i've never experienced using them myself. Exchanges should have them, I just don't know how much information it actually gives out to other concurrent users/traders. Well according to other comments, there are, so there should be. Try asking around telegram groups tbh, people should answer quickly there.
2426  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $ 19k again before 2022? (poll inside) on: December 01, 2019, 03:07:37 PM
I'm gonna entirely base my vote on past transactions before, during and after halvings. Just by basing it on that, we could already see that BTC dips at the start and middle of the halving and only after a year would it actually show potential results of a pump. That would result in a possible ATH in 2022, instead of 2021. 2021 would be the transition period I'd suppose of traders and miners alike from the halving in May 2020 and would only start moving BTC up by at the  least, end of 2020. Of course, it's totally plausible for BTC to spike up after halving, but im more inclined to following past examples.
2427  Economy / Economics / Re: HSBC Bank to shift $20 billion worth of assets to blockchain-based Digital Vault on: November 30, 2019, 11:24:42 PM
This is actually for the banks instead, not for BTC's purpose. It doesn't really have any relationship with the current increase in the BTC market. Blockchain technology is just the medium used for crypo, and the both of them being used doesn't necessarily mean a relationship is in there. This actually advertises possible improvements in the current system of banks as well changes in its quality of life. Tbh, any type of improvement made by the banks at this point are direly needed by them to stop their users from migrating to using crypto instead, especially with all the possible hype of fiat being replaced by crypto. Well, it is one way of banks to fight back against crypto I'd suppose.
2428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best copy trading platforms? on: November 30, 2019, 11:05:46 PM
eToro is one of the best, so I'd suggest looking into that before looking into others. Just that like what others have said, they have strict KYC implementations. If you really don't like eToro, you can try ZuluTrade and Darwinex, but honestly, these two don't hold much of a candle against eToro.
2429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Practical "Self-Exclusion" from Bitcoin Gambling Websites on: November 30, 2019, 10:18:09 PM
It seems to me that arresting the addiction i.e. self-exclusion - is a very powerful way to stop gambling.
One of the best ways to do so with Crypto is to simply lock the Crypto away from yourself until the date you need to actually use it, if you need to use it at all.
Well, it is indeed one of the best, but I'm pretty sure this isn't the best one. Like, addiction comes from the self, and well, self-exclusion doesn't really work once addiction takes place. A heavy will is pretty much needed to start off that and in the first place, the moment you went and fell for addiction, it showed that you had no such thing. I'm not saying it is inefficient, but for those completely addicted to gambling, self-exclusion isn't the way, well could be a part of it, but it would be pretty weak imo.
2430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC FRAUD on: November 30, 2019, 09:59:02 PM
Uhhhh.. Give up? Even if you do track down the guy, which is already close to null, it'd be pretty darn impossible to take the coins back from him. PLUS, probably your fault in letting up in your security of your wallet. Ngl, hacking starts from you giving out information that could help the hacker himself. The only thing you could probably do is try and ask for a support ticket with the exchange you are currently using, and well, ask for help. Plus, probably list the exchange and a few more details so that any one that might try to help you would fully believe in your account details you just stated.
2431  Local / Pamilihan / Re: What is etoro? on: November 30, 2019, 03:30:25 PM
2432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Please answer this question, ( What to mine with low budget GPUs) on: November 29, 2019, 07:38:54 PM
Bro. Those are the old times. A lot of countries are fighting over mining rigs right now and boy are they expensive. I really doubt that your gpu could even hold a candle against any of their machines. Plus, it has been a fight between quantity now a days since the quality of the mining rigs of most miners are already one of the top tier, if not at the very top. Just invest and trade BTC or other altcoins tbh. It's less hassle and you can at least be sure that you'd be earning as long as the coin grows.
2433  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top 5 ways to recover your stolen or lost crypto on: November 29, 2019, 07:15:31 PM
Recover stolen? crypto? Are we talking about the same crypto of blockchain tech? If so then I'm pretty sure you can't recover that. Most of the information you actually listed is Prevention instead of being called recovery. BTC or any altcoin at that can never be recovered once sent to another's wallet. It's just simply impossible. It's just how the system was made. Well, if the scammer/hacker actually sent the coins back out of changing heart, well, that could be a possibility. But the chances are close to null, ngl.
2434  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You need to seek for answers yourself on: November 29, 2019, 06:47:19 PM
Ngl, with the internet above everyone of us, People should be able to basically get the answer to most of the general questions that they have regarding literally everything. There are a lot of discussions made on the internet and a lot of youtube videos that explain a variety of things, just hit google and look it up! Plus, A lot of people have already said, ICO projects are a thing of the past already. Move on to investing and trading instead, at the very least, you can ensure that any losses would be your fault, and not because of you being stupidly scammed for the nth time.
2435  Local / Pilipinas / Re: "Development" and "Improvement" of the Society: Discussion about Blockchain. on: November 29, 2019, 06:06:35 PM
Nice! Nagkaroon din kami sa amin ng seminar noon sa school pero mostly about blockchain technology tas yung mga technicalities about dun. Medyo nakakatuwa lang na ganun na yung mga tao, like, may idea na sila about sa blockchain and crypto and slowly nadedevelop na yung knowledge nating mga Filipinos pagdating sa mga ganitong bagay, and ngl, its freakin great. Right now concentrate muna ako sa studies but if a chance comes na may seminar akong maatendan about crypto or blockchain, 100% sure papasukin ko yun. Totally worth it talaga yung time and experience na magagain mo eh.
2436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving 2020 prediction on: November 29, 2019, 04:29:41 PM
I doubt so. Sure, I thought at first BTC would actually drop with the first few halvings but then I noticed that the design of each halving was made as such so that its rarity actually increases with each halving. BTC might drop down a few times, but it would still go a bearish season by the end of it, and would just let the market experience a bit of depression by the middle of it.
2437  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries testing digital assets in 2020 on: November 28, 2019, 04:04:52 PM

What is so surprising about it, they hate cryptocurrency and they had shut down all the local exchanges in their country, automatically, they would not be included in the list.

They hate BTC, not crypto. They bloody hate anything they can't or don't have control of. Whyd you think Baidu came into existence.

The effect of it would be simple, if it's going to be successful where big countries you've mentioned fully implanted the use of cryptocurrency, I am sure third world countries would also do the same to improve their economies as well.
Success isn't simply about planning or partaking into joining the big countries with their stable coin shenanigans. Adoption of third world countries of crypto is great and all, but I'd rather them concentrate develop on the MOST needed aspects of their current countries. I see no need for them to fight with other big countries.
2438  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Crypto Pump Island a scam or legit? on: November 28, 2019, 02:48:23 PM
Save yourself the trouble and stop joining these kinds of telegram groups that offer premium thingies that are clearly in advantage towards you or any other customer at that. Just the fact that you actually get a huge benefit is already a red signal towards anyone. Just trade normally, by yourself or maybe even use other trading techniques you might know. Be satisfied with that. Stop looking for external help since 9 out of 10 of those things/promos are 100% guaranteed, a scam.
2439  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin readh 10000usd this year again? on: November 28, 2019, 01:30:12 PM
not difficult, sometimes bitcoin can increase by several thousand usd in a short time, we still have 1 month, we see the beginning of the month in which direction the movement of bitcoin, if it breaks above $8,5k it's possible to continue to increase to 10k, but if difficult to touch above $8,5k I think 10k will be reached next year.
Indeed. Trying to reach for 10k by the end of the year seems pretty hard, with how the bears and bulls fight has been ongoing right now, and well, I can say that bears have the advantage right now. Bulls just had the chance to pull away a bit on their side but it still doesn't reveal anything positive for them. If bulls manage to push through 8.4k resistance, BTC can probably manage to make it up to 9.5k or so. That is, if the bulls can push, which, is sad to say, doesn't seem likely to do so. I'm more in the situation where BTC has stabilized and bulls and bears can do neither against each other, so BTC would stay and stand still at 7k or so.
2440  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries testing digital assets in 2020 on: November 28, 2019, 12:18:26 PM
I was surprised why China wasn't included on that article considering the amount of news we've digested on the past several weeks about its state back cryptocurrency!

Now I'm eager to see on what will transpire on each country's crypto development. Will it ignite a so called global crypto race among bigger and influential countries in the likes of USA, Germany, France, etc.? And what will be its effects on global economy?
This. Ngl, China is at the front of the news with regards to crypto most of the time, and was the only country I actually knew of that was starting to create their own coin. Every country is basically preparing to what could possibly be the replacement for Fiat and are trying to dominate the market before it even happens. It's pretty much a race between all of them to see how things could possibly change with their respective coins.

If you actually look at it from one angle, it kinda seems like BTC would be the universal coin that is used for basis when digital currency replaces fiat. Though i don't really know if that works or meshes well with stablecoins.
