moreover who is at fault , the receiver or the exchange who made this mistake and realizing after months, as the complete news suggest that exchange is dragging him to court to reclaim the amount ..
From what I know in pretty much all countries' legislation, if one is spending money not earned by him (like for example transferred to him by mistake) is assimilated to stealing. So the customer must have been complying, at very least at the moment crypto.com noticed the money is missing, and transfer back the extra funds. If he/she would have been doing this (very) early, may have been receiving a "finder's fee" or at least a "thank you". Now the lawsuit is pretty much normal.

Alfa Romeo leaving next season, and Audi coming in in 2026
Hm.. and what's going to happen with the Sauber team (currently Alfa Romeo) in 2024 and 2025 until Audi takes it over?! and Audi coming in in 2026 (as a power unit supplier, what? haha).
I think that's more than power units there, it may be full brand, like Alpine/Renault is, handling both chassis and power unit. What I find very interesting is the double branding / competition between sister companies: around 2026 also Porsche will come into F1 (taking over RBR?), but... both Porsche and Audi are sisters under Volkswagen Group ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

First of all, this is old news (2 weeks old?) and I guess that it has been already discussed (but a quick search didn't yield anything, maybe I've used wrong terms).
Second, more on-topic: a more interesting fact is not that they've made such a mistake, it can happens (it has happened to banks too iirc). The interesting fact is that they've noticed only 7 months later. This would mean either their accountancy is a wonderfully missing thing, either they have such huge pile of money that $7M missing can go unnoticed this easy.

I thick it's just a short break for bear market, it just continuous a while.....What is about your point of view friends ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) ....Suggest You either mixed up bear with bull markets, either you've missed the latest dump / leg down we had less than 24h ago. We're still in the bear marker, no "short break" yet. I pretty much feel happy we didn't get lower and, even more, we're already back over 20k. Of course, I also hope the bear market will end "any time now", but that might still take some weeks.

The truth is that I cannot see the urgency or even the necessity for a CBDC. In a developed country, a lot of people are already going cashless. That's even if there isn't a CBDC yet. In developing countries, digital cash isn't also that important because a lot of people lack digital awareness. They've got no choice but to use hard cash. So a CBDC is also not necessary. The map shows much more countries into CBDCs than I've expected. But your logic has a flaw: the fact that in developed countries and even big cities people goes pretty much cashless is not a no-go for CBDCs, rather the opposite. I see CBDCs as a replacement for VISA/Mastercard, replacing those fees with smaller (or none) plus increased surveillance of the state. Most shops will embrace it to save money, people will have no other choice than complying.

The guy was actually walking around the conference with this running on his back.
Hm, and I was almost writing that it must be fake. Did he turned it on? Was it noisy? However, as others said, it's not really a good use case because of the weight and because it may not mine for long enough, since the consumption is probably big.

I am not sure what you need. * Is it the development environment? Then Visual Studio will do. If you look carefully you'll find free versions on Microsoft website. * Is it a c# library for this kind of projects? Then look at NBitcoin ( https://github.com/MetacoSA/NBitcoin which is also available as NuGet packaged for Visual Studio , but just look at git page for other links, docs, or even applications to look into). * It is examples? Again, NBitcoin git has links. There are there even links to nice CodeProject pages.

induct you into bitcointalk Hall of Fame with immediate effect. Isn't it ironic OP can't even have an avatar yet, but he can patch the forum? He has my support for a special badge (up to theymos to pick it). It should be more interesting than an avatar he will have sooner or later.

he has been claiming that he is Satoshi Nakamoto recently. I am bringing this topic up to let people know who BitcoinMoses actually his. He is just another Faketoshi.
This is pretty much covered by his trust feedback, so I am not sure why you're making him even more "popular" by attracting attention over him again. OK, I do understand your point, but I fear that attracting more attention over him is exactly what his game is about.

"Rinse and repeat" is many scammers' strategy. And it keeps working astonishingly well in crypto. It's super easy as well. Call it an ICO, DeFi, staking, yield farming, liquidity mining, lending platform, etc. Just come up with a new name and promise risk free profits, and you are guaranteed to get investors. You don't even need to have a working product or income stream. Indeed. I would have expected that people start to learn and stop jumping in so eagerly. But, as a recurring topic, it may be somewhat (or at a certain level) related to the gambling mentality so wide spread. Much of the same mentality must apply to the victims of these HYIP scams.
Yep, at least it applies to those chipping in a few dollars "just in case". But I fail to understand how can some put there life changing amounts or at least money they don't afford to lose. Those I pity. Those should stop doing this/falling for this.

Don't judge me. I always honored my committments.
As new user without any history and also without collateral, your request asks for a donation or a negative feedback. And I'm 100% people are not into this kind of "donations". I am sure you also know that you describing yourself has no value in this matter.

Exchanges can't know where the Monero comes from, so if you sell 1 Bitcoin for Monero on Exchange A and 28 days later sell 10 Monero for Bitcoin on exchange B, they can't link them together (assuming you use different Bitcoin addresses and not your home IP address, of course).
Indeed. But they will just track the bitcoins (especially the first 1) and that alone can give plenty of information. I guess the real malware makers are still far from getting caught. It's a start. From what I see they are (or have been) making mistakes, so it's not all the hope lost.

Clar. Desi are contul din 2019, cel mai probabil omul nu a pierdut mult timp pe forum si nu stie de cate tampenii fac unii pentru un banut in plus. Tot meritul pe care-l are l-a obtinut in ultimele 4 zile, deci inainte era Newbie. Na, cu atat mai mult... noroc sa avem!

"One entity" apparently controls or displays the alleged BTC/USD ticker price and everyone accepts it, decentralised my arse.
It would be nice if you would actually know what you're talking about.

ah okay, no I am not running a testnode. I was just thinking that bitcoin-cli -testnet is automatically switching to a testnet mode then. But my main goal remains. Getting from my full/Lightning Node of Raspiblitz to a testnet node cause I have to execute this task: Getting node 1 to mine a block, send it to node 2 and check if node 2 received it. all the stuff is running on a raspberry pi. Just working with the terminal on mac via ssh connection.
"Switching to testnet mode" means to work with the testnet blockchain. That one has to be downloaded and so on. You need a node. Even more, I certainly hope you have an ASIC for mining the block you want, the diff is afaik far too big for RasPi to mine.

What the fck is that? I'd say somebody got impatient and decided to cash in early. Not pleasant, but it happens. Keep in mind that not everybody targets over 100% profit even on bitcoin. If you zoom out it may make more sense.

Where miners are not earning for their proof of work. Where miners will mine something other than bitcoin. Where Bitcoin will derail from the main title of cryptocurrency. Where bitcoin will be remembered as an ex-main cryptocurrency.
130 years is an awfully lot of time and many things can change, still, keep in mind that the things you're telling about are major changes and the consensus must be achieved in order to "come live". This being said giving up PoW is quite unlikely. It's too much money involved there and far too many will not agree to this kind of chance. Then the "Where miners will mine something other than bitcoin." is funny, since there are already plenty of such miners: the altcoin miners. They may or may not exchange their altcoins into bitcoin ... so this point is imho off topic. Bitcoin no longer being main crypto is also a matter of time. At some point a worthy replacement will emerge. Imho that's not ETH, no matter the wishful thinking of some altcoin traders/investors. I will add that changing the rules can be done by anybody, really. But the consensus will or will not follow them. And if the bulk of bitcoiners don't agree with the changes, that anybody will end up with his own fork, most probably a worthless one.

How could CSW say such a thing is it that he doesn't understand the basic properties of the bitcoin blockchain? It's simple: the judge also doesn't understand them, so he feels safe to tell all kind of weak lies. Isn't this all he has done on court until now.. with some notable success too?

Some people are so emersed in their "get-rich-quick" dream that even if they come to conclusion on their own that the rug has been pulled out from under them, they'll still cling on. This guy I'm talking about is no idiot, he readily admits he's spending the money for the dream.
Let's be fair and admit it, he's probably also paying for the adrenalin when the numbers are extracted/picked ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) But I totally get your point. Of all get rich quick schemes, I think that the lottery is the worse. Heh, timeless ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) What will be head shaking in the cryptospace is these type of services will return and it will again lose millions of users money.
"Rinse and repeat" is many scammers' strategy. And it keeps working astonishingly well in crypto.
