This works all of the time for me:

This was my first choice but not work fine for me from BG EU.
Almost 24h on the US stratum server and its nearly perfect.

How has the AntPool US stratum connection been working for you?

over all good i could not connect at all so i had to put in a ticket about a hour later they give me the US pool no issue sense till now are  the Antpools down i can't get on  the site to see to my balance, miners . they look hocked up just no access to see them.

on one side about in the middle on the edge of one of the boards is a small min plug for the USB cable it is kind of hard to notice .

give me a hour or two unless you discovered it or some one beats me to it, I'll post some Screens from one of my Hurricane X 3 boards.

ALSO  you may have hit one of the DIP switches by mistake . I'll post a DIP switch lay out for two boards.

I might make a thunder X3 for fun all i need to make a thunder X3 is another hurricane x3 . i have a old Thunder X6 case laying around with all the parts but the heat sinks and hash boards from the X6 . sense all the boards from all the hurricane thunders etc  X3 or x6 fit all the Zeus cases . i may for fun, if I can find a really cheap hurricane X3 some place.

hey once windows 10 goes live in July I'll be running this on a windows 10 PI  or going to try to . i haven't tried  yet with the DEV version of 10 and MultiMiner i know its poss, but i just have ten running on a PI 2 right now to see how it handles ten so far it runs great . would rather wait for the 10 RTM then try MM on one .

If BTC went 4x any miner produced in the past 2-3 years would be turned back on again, I would imagine the hash rate easy doubling.
Here's hoping you're right. I don't see it happening within the next 12 months, and would have a hard time rationalizing powering up my old BM1380 or Bitfury gear even if it did.

I hope the price keeps dropping and more farms shut down.

me to as bad as that sounds that just give me more of a reason to keep mining. unless BTC drop to low .
2528  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to create custom exhaust duct work to remove heat from room on: May 26, 2015, 12:52:09 AM
Basically the heat is unbearable for mining in my apartment because with all the miners running it makes it unlivable pretty much.

So without having to permantely shut down the miners for 4 months. I would like to buy and build some custom duct work that can be attached to an S2 and S3.

What I am looking for is pictured below.

However at HomeDepot its not possible to find any duct work that will fit around the S2. All the ones are for home heating and they are all too small.

The size of the S2 is around 44cm by 25cm. Most of the duct inlets they sell are almost half that size.

I was wondering if anyone know a cheap and effective way to be able to attach something to the exhaust of these miners and have the heat be directed outside.

For the S3 it shouldn't be an issue, since I found some 5" vinyl flexiable tubing that I can just attach to the rear fan the issue is with the S2.

try lows or one of the mom and pop hardware stores in your area you would be amazed at what you will find in a ACE hardware etc or similar. Over what Home depot offers .

I just bought a portal 9000 btu air conditioner I plan to use in the same way . but this give me more ideas on how to let that  AC  take the hot AIR  out . i have 7 miners run in my house now all most 24/7 adding a S5 in a few day to make it 8 . so i need to do more  in the summer our central air can handle it but it gets to cold for some of the older folks in the house so you know .

Isnt it amazing how 90% of the people here are "noobs" or Jr members on this forum ?
The real problem with the 'oldies' is that you - the new guys- fail to comprehend the final outcome of this ponzi scheme, it will end with your money drained down this shit hole.

Mt GOX the most TRUSTED bitcoin website of all time which was a BTC exchange ran with our money, they had all the physical proof / location made public ~ except a few things & still no one could do anything to them and this here is a 3rd class website run by some shady individual based out of BRAZIL! whose primary explanation for not publicly disclosing the mining data centers / pools is 'because it would get us too much attention and increase user numbers'.

Isnt that ironic ?? They already have the most ridiculously lucrative ROI on the market resulting in a pretty large user base and still this guy makes this kind of comment ??

Yes I ve been on that chat and no I ve not even invested a piece of shilling over there.

Right now I am on the trade screen and I am seeing someone putting down an order of more than 8 BTC worth of KHS and its just sad because part of the reason for such misinformed investment are comments like 'I am happy here'.

Sad Part is if greed hadn't took over they could have made a lot more the honest way and never really have to worry about the law to much . i  would rather pay what ever tax there is , stay a trusted upfront company and make way more then steal and worry were the next payout or  pay meant is coming from . or what my next big rip off will be and will i get way with it etc. I guess for them its the thrill of it but is jail really worth the thrill ?. because sooner or later they will either end up in jail for years, always dodging the law or that man who they ripped off who doesn't care much of what happen to his self etc  or worse dead . you really never know but have to watch the signs etc .

Unobtanium coin would be about it .I don't care about alt coins with sha256 coin mining sense to me if your going to mine Sha256 type coins just do BTC.

I do script mining to, others may say it's worth less mining script alt coins but it can be very good, i wouldn't mine 256sha alt coins.
2533  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [10000Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB on: May 19, 2015, 04:38:54 PM
I wonder why don't more people use Eligius. It struck me as best pool since it has no fee at all + possible to merge mine nmc, right?
Would it be just because they only mine 1-2 blocks per day + have queue or am I missing something here?

My main reasons for using this Pool no fees, the pay out system and you don't lose much if you go off line or leave the pool mid way.

merge mine nmc don't mean much to me . as the Pool OP said there not doing to well right now they still kind of pay good but no real support almost any were.

my second most used/loved Pool is slushe's pool . my only beef there is if I leave I lose anything in Q  or come in during a long line of blocks you kind of have to wait to see some form of payout were as here you start mining in that block or blocks right a way it seems.

but sadly this pool is failing more and more every day, i fear, one day, I'll have to find another one like it which so far from all my searches, there is not one, I'll stay til it is no longer profit able to.

This is a one of kind pool.

WOW nice can't wait to try it out on my S3 just to test it .Will it work for S5 's later on ?.

S5 just uses a SD card based recovery like the other beaglebone based AntMiners so it would be pointless there, it's also pretty specific to the chipset used on the S1 and S3 and porting it would not be easy.

Thought so was making sure . Smiley That came to mine after i asked .

2535  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 5.1.0: GBT+Stratum, RPC, Mac/Linux/Win64, BlackArrow Prospero, KnC Nep. on: May 15, 2015, 11:53:06 PM
Hello fellow hashers!
I'm running bfgminer 4.1.0 now on some miners that require bfgminer to be able to support extranonce and the #xnsub  command.
I'm running them on nicehash for a friend who has a Zeus Lightning X6 farm.
I found out that 4.1.0 doesn't support extranonce algo so I looked for and found bfg 4.7.0 but it's all convoluted and not telling me how to set the command line to work correctly.
I tried using the bat file from 4.1.0 but alas, it just spits dummy!
Can anyone share a working bat file for 4.7.0 so I can get going with the latest version that supports extranonce.
I found 5.1.0 but there doesn't seem to be a version compiled for win32 nor does it say if it supports the extranonce algo required by the NiceHash/WestHash pool.
I can only run versions already compiled for win32.
Also....
Have they combined the ability to run Zeus and GridSeed 5 chips from the same program/gui yet?
Any help or useable advice would be greatly appreciated.
Wolfey2014

Download 5.1.0 - http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/5.1.0/bfgminer-5.1.0-win32.zip. You can always go to http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/ to download.

It supports extranonce and can be used with Nicehash/Westhash. I suggest not to run Zues with Gridseed in same app. It won't go smoothly.

I Agree for Zeus miner they may run smooth with a Zeus miner mix on the same controller but they do seem more stable one miner per controller and PI's are not that Expensive or you can make your own controller i think a few have .
example why do you think bit main gives us a controller etc with S1 to S5 one reason may be they do run much better with one controller per miner and it is easier to just plug in a PSU etc and your up and running , it may take hours to get a few  Zeus's  to work to gather on one controller much less with  grid seeds.

It is poss but can be a headache getting it setup and working Smooth. Done it .

for GUI try this http://zoomhash.com/pages/raspberry-pi-software-update or  Minera https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596620.0 which works much better atm if you put your own custom BFG MINER in minera hes working on the Calculation problem with minera and some Script miners .

2536  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: AntMiner Community Edition Firmware Improvement Project on: May 15, 2015, 11:47:45 PM
Here's something I've been working on that should help out with making testing on the S1 and S3 safer, uboot http recovery interface. Once flashed it can be accessed by holding the reset button for 3 seconds after a reboot, this will be useful for those who don't have a ttl cable for recovery but still want to flash custom builds. I still need to make some changes and finalize the procedure for flashing uboot from within OpenWRT.

WOW nice can't wait to try it out on my S3 just to test it .Will it work for S5 's later on ?.

2537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Minera v0.5.0] Your next mining dashboard - Networked/CPUminer/CGminer/BFGminer on: May 15, 2015, 11:06:32 PM
Ok, I am just lost! I have no idea why 5.0 will not work for my asicminer tubes! The previous versions (4.1) have all worked but not 5.0!

I have them connected via usb to the rpi. But no matter what it still says no devices found.
I have both the superuser option and the detect all options enabled
I have tried CGminer after compiling it with the --enable-blockerupter (which has worked with previous versions) but not working with 5.0
I have NEVER been able to get bfgminer to work on minera. It never finds the devices either
I have tried a fresh install of 5.0 and then compiled it twice. Still no devices found.

Is there something I am not doing? Do I need to do anything so it will read the usb? Do I need to put in certain settings I did not need to before (extra options) or to get bfgminer working.

Any help would be appreciated Im pulling my hair out trying to get this figured out!

Well, you should firstly try to remove the autodetect option (this should enable libusb detection). Then please can you tell me the exact hardware you are using? Can you find and paste a link to it? Because I'm not sure what you are trying to connect and I need more info about the HW before tell you something more.

EDIT: while I don't think it's a cgminer version problem this is the previous binary there was in Minera, you could try with this too (add it as custom miner or overwrite it as default one) https://github.com/michelem09/minera/blob/fa17a35255bdd7ba48569d0507dc0e9e4f788ecd/minera-bin/cgminer?raw=true

I tried disabling the autodetect option and that still didnt work.

I am not sure how to add the old binary for cg miner in to Minera (I wish I knew more about Linux). Can you explain how to do that?

I am running 2 Asicminer Tubes that are chained together and connected to the rpi using a usb/uart adapter (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=769570.0). I am using a rpi B (not sure if that matters) They worked with the previous version of Minera but cant be found with 5. I have never been able to get them to work with bfgminer, even though they are supposed to be compatible with it

Any help would be appreciated.

So, it's sure you need to re-build cgminer in 0.5.0 because --enable-blockerupter option isn't in the default build (it prevents others to be compiled).
Then did you do a "sudo make install" too after the "make" command? Try and reboot the Raspberry after that.

Yes I did the sudo make install, and then restarted the rpi. Here is the code that I used, do I need to do something else besides this.

Code:
cd /tmp
git clone https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer
cd cgminer
./autogen.sh
./configure --enable-blockerupter
make
sudo make install
cp cgminer /var/www/minera/minera-bin/

maybe add this sudo ./configure CFLAGS="-O2" or ./configure CFLAGS="-O3" --enable-blockerupter

Like this

cd cgminer
./autogen.sh

sudo ./configure CFLAGS="-O2" --enable-blockerupter

 or try

sudo ./configure CFLAGS="-O3" --enable-blockerupter

not really sure what 02 or 03 do other then  make the Drivers work with most USB hubs.
not sure if there script only commands either sense i only script mine with minera.

my S5 have there own UI etc and controller, I cant find a better miner for bitcoins at there price right now and you can make them run a lot quieter and  use less power then any thing, i see on the market atm .

and use this to make sure CGminer is complied right http://winscp.net/eng/index.php?#utm_source=winscp&utm_medium=app&utm_campaign=5.7.3 by logging into your IP for minera and look under this path /var/www/minera/minera-bin make sure CGMiner has this line in the line for octal 0755 by right clicking it then look at Properties . Use this to find the IP address of minera if you don't know it .

I have yet to see one program of this type that is totally free, work so well or better then most paid for programs that do the same thing.

http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/

Sorry of i don't  know the command line to check it or add it .I have seen CG miner work but no hard ware til one or both lines are added . make sure there is only one space between each command if it needs a space.

I'm guessing may be after June when the last S5 batch goes on sell on or  is gone, i sure hope they do more then the  S5 does as a upgrade if we ever see them .
2539  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: May 13, 2015, 01:42:44 PM
For a miner in my home am I better off with S5?  I am afraid S4+ is to much.

Which one should I go for?

at this point in time if you dont already have any dont buy any.

nothing you can buy right now will make you any profit. even if you dont pay for power its still not worth it.

if you are absolutlely set on getting a bitcoin miner, you can find a used s3 cheap.. they are usually around 70$.

a s3 will net you just over 1.10$ per day at stock speeds. keep in mind it uses about 370 watts at the wall.. so you are looking at a cost of .88 cents per day at .10c per KWH.

BS

The S5 does generate a profit. I have bought 3 and ROI on ~1.5 already. I do not compare to dollars only to BTC. I bought one in January and two more in early March. I pay 9.2 cents per KWH for juice too. If you are using them inside they are loud unless you mod them with fans but you give up your warranty when you mod. My earnings from AntPool as of right now are 2.25 BTC but I have earnings from a variety of other pools too that would bring the total to ~2.9 BTC. Too lazy to go dig them all up.

All 3 are still in great working order so I could cash out on eBay and have a tidy profit.

Good luck.

sound optimist, i also have 1 s5 and 1 s3.
i dont do math, just let them mining and sure it make profit.
thank god not all of us think this is a good way.

@coinits, some people just dont know how it works.

His idea of a profit might be the Problem if you watch numbers to much it does stress you, is all i can think, I know mine have made me some thing on all three and one S3 and  some rentals on the side 6 btc sense Jan mine don't all ways run  24/7,  I actually turn off one or two to save on power for a few days. I could Polly make more !!! .

I got my first s5 at the end of Jan this year .

I could Polly sell all three on ebay then buy some BTC and go buy a s4 + and still have some cash left or enough to get another s2 or s4 used not a S4 +, if I  wanted to but I'm very happy with my S5's.

+ my S5 are very quite or quite enough you could all most sleep in the same room wth them , i won't thu for health reason .

Great, so you don't care that a business operates fraudulently and people place their money into what they believe to be a legitimate operation, how does this justify what scrypt.cc are doing? It doesn't.

I don't mean anything bad by this .

Just what are they doing that's wrong ?

so far all i see is some kind of issue with the power company and no one has proved other wise, yet, unless i missed some thing . and nothing but good things from all most everyone on this thread.
