2541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alphabay dark market accepts ethereum on: March 22, 2017, 01:34:05 AM
So, monero and dash investors, what do you think of this ? ETH seems to be taking market share from the projects you guys invested in ( black market ). It's really laughable to create coins for dark market purposes and lose the battle against another crypto project that didn't even intended to be used that way.
Most of the deals in the dark net, seems to be carried out with bitcoin lets wait some time before we make such statements, since we don’t know how much of acceptance ETH will have with the anonymous conscious users on that part of the internet.
2542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not treat BU as Alt? on: March 22, 2017, 01:30:54 AM
When we can have both btc and BU co exist, why not treat BU like another Altcoin similar to btc?.
Why can't both compliment each other?
I’m not an expert but from what I have read BU does not want a hard fork they want to reach consensus but since their solution runs contrary to the devs then a battle has erupted about the direction bitcoin is going to take.
2543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold Backed crypto currency on: March 22, 2017, 01:26:38 AM
Check out our CEO Anthem Blanchard discussing Gold Backed Cryptocurrency with MadBitcoins:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TBWYmQ3oIQ&feature=youtu.be
I think it is better if the two are kept separate bitcoin and gold are great separated but ti does not much sense to put them together since gold has been mostly centralized from the beginning with coinage and similar technologies.
2544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain will transform 70 billion loyalty industry on: March 22, 2017, 01:24:20 AM
Projects like Incent and Coval will be at the forefront of this trend.

https://hbr.org/2017/03/blockchain-will-transform-customer-loyalty-programs

I think this Blockchain FAD is enough, there are alot of things that doesn't need blockchain technology that some people are selling here in the name of raising money. 90% of this projects will end up as experiment and only 1% will probably see adoption in real world
But that is the way things are, when the internet had its boom in the 90’s there were a lot of bogus business and investments but out of those there were many solid proposals that became the giants of today.
2545  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading VS Bitcoin! on: March 22, 2017, 01:21:42 AM

Technical analysis would somehow work on trading bitcoin because its really a helpful tools on doing trading but it might not work anytime because bitcoin prices sometimes doesnt really matter on those TA (technical Analysis) since there are happenings which do happen unexpectedly.

Is there technical analysis to check the price bump and dump in bitcoins. Trading analysis is simply by checking the value and buy the btc when it is low and sell it out when it is high. How it is possible to be perfect in trading techno analysis. If you any tool or idea about please share it. It would help for all traders.
Technical analysis applies to anything that has enough volume so you can apply bitcoin analysis to bitcoin and some major alts but not to new alts since the price can change very rapidly if a whale enters the market and distort it.
2546  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is these scam ? on: March 21, 2017, 12:31:28 AM
Seeing on the link it shows the video of bitminer.io which is a cloud mining site which we do know these are total scams. They are not worth to put our money on and dont really believe on easy money since its not possible here on bitcoin world.Stay away on this site and dont be fooled to anybody that this site is legit, better to stay away to avoid such lose.

I have come to understand this not even on this forum but when I was in the quest of making money by all means in the shortest possible time but I was humbled after I was duped several times before learning my lessons that there is neither easy money or free money on the internet especially in the crypto-world.
Sometimes the longest road is the shortest one, if we try to take shortcuts we may fell pray of scammers and liars so it is better to take your time in your journey to make money on the Internet whether you use fiat or bitcoin.
2547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unlimited Won't Ever Be The "Bitcoin", Exchanges Vow on: March 21, 2017, 12:29:45 AM
We already know that Bitcoin Exchanges won't allow BU to usurp the throne and will treat it as an altcoin.
Maybe it is time to stop supporting Bitcoin Unlimited and/or set real consensus conditions for BU to take over.

Please watch this video and share your comments below: Bitcoin Unlimited Won't Ever Be The "Bitcoin", Exchanges Vow / MelonPort on Kraken / Much More!

Exchanges will go with whatever is chosen if BU end ups winning and being accepted by the community then it will become bitcoin whether some don't agree with that and the exchanges will have to accept it too.
2548  Economy / Speculation / Re: So, what's up with the price? on: March 21, 2017, 12:27:04 AM
Maybe it's just the Winlkevoss Twins selling off a portion of their hodlings, since, you know...

Or Roger Ver is selling his 300 000 fortune, because he already know that BTU will win battle and remove BTC from market..   Grin

Allow me to enlighten you a little. Read this http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-exchanges-unveil-emergency-hard-fork-contingency-plan/

I also believe that you have automatic BTU if the fork splits the blockchain. Please correct me if I am wrong. And if not, you already have BTC that will become BTU. So no need for Roger Ver to do anything.

Or maybe he wants to split the blockchain so that he will double his 300,000 fortune. Grin
Indeed, no need to panic sell as our bitcoin will doubled (in BTU) if that condition really happen just like ethereum did last year.
We can't do anything about it and just wait for them accomplish consensus. I consider this recent decline as normal fluctuate on bitcoin environment because if it doesn't goes up, it will fall down.
It's not really that your coins get doubled, but I understand what you mean. In case of an unsuccessful fork, people will have an equal amount of coins in both chains.

In case of a properly carried out fork, there will not be a chain split, and thus you won't have to deal with all the hassle around it.

However, in current circumstances there is no way that the fork will be carried out properly. I find it mind boggling that it has come this far. This isn't helping Bitcoin move forward..
In case of a fork the value of your BTC and your BU combined will be less than the current price of bitcoin since many investors will take a step back and decide to wait until things get clearer in the horizon.

2550  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price is the Moon landing? on: March 17, 2017, 01:01:08 AM
With all this talk of Bitcoin going to the moon, i was wondering what people think will be the moon landing price?  I think at $10,000 we have landed.  Need to get my moon boots ready.  Grin
It depends from person to person, I have seen some predict the price is going to reach 50k others have predicted millions, for those that bought when bitcoin was worth a dollar we are already in the moon, so there is no definitive answer.
2551  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: English service, thought? on: March 17, 2017, 12:58:48 AM
How about using GOOGLE? Or YOUTUBE? Or even Grammarly?

There are plenty of tools everyone could use. Even simply reading books and novels would help. Heck, even watching English movies would.

Who has the time to spend giving personal tutorials. And it's not like people would actually pay for tutors just so they could write grammatically correct posts.  Grin

but some sources you mention sometimes share language that is not natural or authentic. when I watch movies, sometimes I need more explanation. I'm studying English pragmatics now, and it makes me a little bit confused. so I think it is better to learn from those who own the language.

well, grammatically correct posts is just another stuff probably the other users need.
The English you see in movies is natural at least it is way more natural that anything you will find in a book since real people don’t talk with perfect English every single time, sometimes they don't pronounce a word and you still need to try to understand what they are saying.
2552  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading VS Bitcoin! on: March 17, 2017, 12:55:52 AM
honestly i was never try to mining bitcoin because i do not understand how to start mining using my PC and people says after halving mining for bitcoin would not profitable anymore and since that i would not dare to start mining but because i have no experience for mining i think i have to says that trading bitcoin more profitable and i did try it already while the price surpassing gold several times ago
Unless we have a huge amount of money then mining bitcoin is out of the question, however mining altcoins it is still possible but you need to choose the right coin or you could end up with nothing if the coin is dumped.

I agree, bitcoin mining is not as profitable as it used to be. Unless you can compete against the big players in the industry and you have super duper low electricity costs then you can't earn from it. About the altcoins, the best ones to mine I think are the ones that suddenly dropped already. Usually there are coins that just go dormant then comes back alive in a few months. It could be a great opportunity to mine those.
This is true, mining bitcoin is possible and profitable but you must always consider on the electricity cost on your place because if its expensive then you are just mining uselessly because it wont be profitable at all and you would just pay up for the electricity cost on mining them.Speaking of alts its better and its easy to mine them and sell/convert them to bitcoins.
It is not just electricity cost you should look into, probably regulations and laws on it too. What laws does apply to your mining and how do you get taxed. That is another point you have to consider. Because there is a chance you might get in trouble if it was made illegal or something like that.
Fortunately there are not many places I think of in which bitcoin mining is illegal, the only one that comes to mind is North Korea, the problem in the rest of the world is how to pay your taxes properly.
2553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have questions and I have bitcoins on: March 17, 2017, 12:53:13 AM
I am looking to get the cost for a 15 min call from someone who is well experienced in this industry.    I would like to do this now, this will be general questions in regards to starting a coin.  No programming questions, please list your cost
I am not an expert on anything but your question is too vague, why do you exactly need an expert? And in what field exactly? Do you need a developer, miner or a trader? It will be best if at least you made those things clearer so you don't waste your time.
2554  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is these scam ? on: March 17, 2017, 12:49:10 AM

Likely to be a ponzi scheme based off my experience with these sites.

Anything that offers you free bitcoins without work, but have to get you to deposit to earn more is a scam. Even if you don't deposit, you're going to probably waste your time and energy waiting for the minimum payout amount to come. And before that happens the site owner will probably run with the investors money. Best scenario here - you making $1-2 after waiting a month or even more.

Just stay out of these dodgy sites.
Those investing in those shady sites do so because they expect to profit from it but anyone using their common sense must know that is simply impossible to pay that kind of money and even if they could generate that money, then why they need someone else’s money.
2555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is no Altcoin bubble on: March 16, 2017, 12:27:21 AM
With the Bitcoin SegWit vs. BU situation some of the BTC maximalist are saying that we are in a bubble that is about to burst since BU has a bug which should frtify SegWit and eliminate the chain splitting possibilities

Thing is this entire time our alts have been growing, BTC was not dropping. What we got was new money into the cryptospace as a whole. This seems like an exciting time. Lots of profits on every alt I jumped into prior to the pumps, in my case all my early moves climbed the market cap listings. BTC being less likely to split ends the chances of the whole cryptospace entering a recession

it is so funny how people use literary any news to their own advantage when it comes to speculation and price. and it doesn't matter if the news is even relevant!
altcoins are in a bubble, most of them that are pumped are anyways. when you pump an altcoin for no reason and people join in, all this investors want to cash out to take their profit and the higher it gets the more they accumulate and the bigger the bubble will be.
and in the end when they start unloading (dumping) their bags the price crashes hard in a sharp drop or in case of manipulated coins with a little bit slower pace.
This is nothing new, the media have been spinning the news to their convenience since always, so it is natural that whoever can give an interpretation to something that happened and decide it meant this or that.
2556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AntPool - switch to Bitcoin Unlimited on: March 16, 2017, 12:24:33 AM
well, what's next?  Huh Roll Eyes Lips sealed

Probably nothing going to happen for some time. But if Core stance wont change, then more miners might join BU later this year. If Core wont hear the whole community by accepting a compromise with BU, then we going to see chain split for sure, probably this year. While I preffer compromise, the second best option is the split, and the worst option is continue with status quo and crippled Bitcoin.
I don't think the worst option is to maintain the status quo, compromise would be better and then compromise, if there is a hard fork the price of bitcoin will plummet overnight, so it is not good for the users and the investors.
2557  Economy / Speculation / Re: after the denial of the ETF , what will be the next hype train to jump onboard? on: March 16, 2017, 12:20:31 AM
fellas

what is the next 'hype" on the horizon , good or bad ?

hard fork? , BU vs. Segwit ? , another ETF ? , something else ?
I think the next battle is going to be segwit vs BU, it seems the debate is getting hotter by what I see in the forum and since no solution is close to get the support needed then that will only spark more debate as time passes.
2558  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is these scam ? on: March 15, 2017, 03:27:44 AM
Yeah it is, any offer of more than 5% a month is probably a scam so if you see an offer of 1% a day or something you can be sure it will turn out to be a scam sooner or later so there is no point wasting time or money on it.
2559  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: purse io giftcards? on: March 15, 2017, 03:25:38 AM
Ok, I would like to earn btc at purse.io. And I see that some people are ready to overpay 40-50% in btc for amazon goods. What's the point? I think it would be cheaper to change btc somewhere and buy with credit card. Are they scammers?
I don't understand your post, but those using their gift cards to buy something for someone else do it because it is difficult to transfer amazon gift cards and that is why as a buyer you can get discounts when buying from purse.io so it is a win/win, the buyer gets cheaper goods and the sellers get rid of their gift cards for bitcoin.
