1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ? on: December 07, 2017, 01:26:12 AM
Actually, both coins are good for long term investment. They both have potential and its value constantly grows. However, If i only get to choose one, i'd go for bitcoin. Between the two, bitcoin had somehow established itself and has a higher rate of gaining profit.
I like both but when it comes to choose a single coin there is not a reason for settling for second best, bitcoin is the coin to hold, if you were to ask a survey to people around the world to name a cryptocurrency the coin that most people will know will be bitcoin only a minority know about a coin other than bitcoin so that tell to us where the money is going to flow when people begin to invest more money in crypto.
Haha, I think they were attracted by the value of Bitcoin. If they know the growth percent of Ethereum or other cryptocurrencies from last year (as Ripple, Monero, Stellar, Digibyte ...), they will need to consider before buy Bitcoin at high price as now or buy altcoin at cheap price. Roll Eyes
But that is to be expected since the average person is not part of the community, if you were to ask people in the forum to name 10 coins they will be able to do it, in fact many will have invested in more coins than that but we cannot expect that knowledge to be so widespread, besides we need to push for bitcoin adoption because that will also benefit alts since I suppose that most people will get bitcoin first and then after some time they will get some alts as well.
1562  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too early vs late to buy bitcoin? on: December 07, 2017, 12:10:29 AM
Bitcoin has been soaring over the past few months.
The argument between "is it too late to buy Bitcoin" vs "is it too early to buy Bitcoin" was debating among lots of hedge funds.
Some think there will be a big price correction later at a certain point, the others think the blooming will still continue going on no matter what.

What do you think?

It is to be expected that most people in this forum are going to think the growth it is going to continue and when you look at all the factors I do not see why we could think otherwise, bitcoin price is this high despite the fact that the user base is quite small, bitcoin had a major upgrade with segwit and the lightning network is going to be in full operation in the next year and now the money of many investors is about to enter the market.
Its end of the year and bitcoin price is very high so it’s very hard and expansive to buy bitcoin now a days and I believe its  late already normally people buy bitcoin when the price is low then it’s easy to buy and then you can keep it on hold because after some time you can sell it out with high price and you can get your profit so selling and buying is a very good source of income and that’s what I’m doing it and it always give me profit you just need to do hard work.
Forget about selling, bitcoin did not spend a single day at 13k and now it is above 14k, this is incredible, but at the same time it is worrying while I like the high price I'm wondering if maybe the price is being manipulated at the moment or if there is some news that I do not know about that is making the price that high or if so much money is being invested in bitcoin in just a few days.
1563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You want to be a millionaire? if you own 0.01 btc you already are on: December 06, 2017, 08:00:40 PM
The title says it all get 0.01 btc and you are on ur way to becoming a millionaire, you already are one if you do not know the true value of bitcoins, cough cough Satoshis.  Forget about owning a full bitcoin, you want to earn satoshis, which we call the units of 0 and 1 or Mbits milibitcoins.  Soon a few years from now 1 satoshi will be the equivalent of 1 USD or Euro if money is still around. You know yes most of you missed the billion dollar train but still you have time to have a million dollars worth of satoshis.  so if you do the math owning 0.10,000,000 = 10 million USD  so if you own 0.01 that makes it 1 million dollars.

You are wondering why I am saying bitcoin is worth 100 million dollars right?  We have a long way to go.  Cough cough, Many factors that contribute the value of 1 bitcoin being worth 100 million dollars.  Well Bitcoin is not just a local or gov owned store of value, its competing with Fiat currency all over the world, from USD, to the YEN.  There are many factors I can shoot out but one major one is that Bitcoin is becoming mainstreamed and the fact there is probably going to be 16 million bitcoins in circulation, why I said 16 mil?  because they are probably around 5 million bitcoins lost.  If you want to add to this topic any more factors that reason why you are already sitting on a million dollars, please be free to do so.

Edit: It seems a few of you are agreeing and few are not.  I remember a time the few of you said the same thing about 10,000 USD a bitcoin.  I remember when they said that about 1,000 USD.  Guess what they are all kicking their arses now.

Here is another factor to add that Bitcoin a World Wide curreny that is competing with fiat.

https://www.google.ro/search?q=how+many+people+in+the+world&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-ab&gws_rd=cr&dcr=0&ei=b0gmWuzOGOHWjwTI9bz4BQ

The difference is that 1k or 10k were reachable prices if my math is correct you want bitcoin to reach a market cap of 2,100,000,000,000,000 or 2.1 quadrillion dollars!!! I do not even know if there is so much money in the world and we must remember there are other crypto as well and stocks and real estate in which we can invest our money so what you are proposing does not make sense.
1564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Businessman be the Owner of Bitcoin Market ? on: December 06, 2017, 06:55:24 PM
I have read somewhere that 90% of currently available bitcoins are on 10 wallets. So in a sense what you are saying is true. Early investors who recognised the potential of bitcoin early on are the biggest owners of bitcoin. Whether those are devs or businesspeople, we dont know.
I do not know where you got that number but that number has to be wrong, 16.7 million coins have been mined if what you said was true then that will mean that 15 million coins are in the hands of just 10 individuals, it is estimated that satoshi holds 1 million coins that would mean that the rest of those people hold even more coins than satoshi, that seems ridiculous to me.
1565  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about bitcoin interest in the near future? on: December 06, 2017, 05:06:23 PM
For me bitcoin will be the number one entire the whole world as a investment and currency...no one can defeated bitcoin because it so much worth.

Bitcoin is number one, that is obvious since bitcoin is the first and original cypto currency in the world. Ever since bitcoin is made there a lot of people saying that it will be a huge game changer giving them a lot of profits in the future and it did. A lot of people tried to hit it back down but it did not waver, in fact it is still pumping despite it.

Bitcoin will be more profitable and popular in the future, not because it is a digital currency with hundred thousands of price but because it will be a crypto currency accepted widely in the country, and in the world.
I agree bitcoin is popular right now as an investment and that is fine but in the future bitcoin is not going to be as good as an investment since by that time it will reach its full potential and the price is not going to move as much, but at that point it will be used as a currency by a significant amount of people in the future and finally my dream will come true I will be able to use bitcoin everywhere without restrictions.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to start investing with 1$? on: December 05, 2017, 03:01:19 AM
For $1.5 you can buy 20 packs of half liter bottle water. Go to a traffic light and sell them $0.25 each. You can sell them all in 2-3 hours most. Now you have $5. You made $3.5 profit with only $1.5. Now repeat it until you have some decent money to invest crypto-currencies. I suggest you to have at least $100. Then you can invest $100 and sell water at the same time. Because you need to invest for long term. Good luck!
That is something that I would never think for myself, but it show to us an important principle, if you want to make money you need to come up with your own ideas, and since the op wants to invest such a low sum of money then it is safe to assume this is a method that he could use to raise some capital, besides this will give him time to learn how to trade since it is not as easy as some people think.
1567  Economy / Economics / Re: If the powerful governments wanted to, do you think they could stop Bitcoin? on: December 05, 2017, 02:06:38 AM
I've watched the movie "bitcoin hacker". and there, the subject matter is:
the government is worried if bitcoin is used as a means of money laundering by the mafia. then, the government and the state police are trying to find the bitcoin holders. after watching the movie, I also became worried if it happened. hopefully nobody takes advantage of bitcoin for criminal purposes, so there is no problem with the government and bitcoin can continue to exist.
This already happened, have you not heard about the silk road and similar sites? And it is useless to hope otherwise, bitcoin is going to be used by criminals and unfortunately that is going to bring the attention of the governments, however if they try to deal with this by just punishing bitcoin users they are going to find that is going to become a lot harder than they thought, the best approach is to accept bitcoin and then prosecute those that are guilty of a crime.
1568  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: December 05, 2017, 12:55:51 AM
Personally, if I'm in a coffee shop or any store with some people, I pull out my wallet and subtly show them my Xapo debit card. Then they get curious on what kind of card is that since it doesnt look like the usual Mastercard or creditcard. Then I explain it from there on.

What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? Smiley
my way to spread my bitcoin as is patience and even rank for big income
Many ppl are doing YouTube, some social media, the latter seems to spread the word, yet isn’t very persuasive unless it’s by a person who naturally summons followers. The best way seems to be speaking directly with people who are close to you, more than mere friends, need to have a close relationship, long friendship or a connection based on smarts. Otherwise, getting people interested is one thing by turning their heads, but having a full conversation about the many steps in the process of understanding the concept and how it operates is meant for complex relating.
Personally I do not think it is such a good idea to teach about bitcoin to those close to you, while that may seem like a good thing, the truth is that if you explain bitcoin to them they may distrust you since you are going to ask them to invest in something they have no idea and if they lose money you can be sure your relationships with them are going to be affected forever.
1569  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should worry this is a bubble on: December 04, 2017, 09:31:05 PM
I don't want to seem negative. I'm trying to avoid political discussion.  Smiley  I would only like to say a case could be made for nobel prizes being a political tool for bankers.

Paul Krugman has supported many questionable and controversial economic policies over the years as a nobel prize winner in economics. There are some who question whether Al Gore should have won a nobel peace prize for a presentation on global warming. Barack Obama winning a nobel peace prize did raise a few eyebrows, years ago.

It is possible that nobel prizes are given out to those who push political agendas, rather than those who merit it. There used to be excellent scientists and economists like Milton Friedman who deserved a nobel prize. These days, it might be fair to say the quality of work awarded a nobel isn't what it used to be, unfortunately.
It is the same as always, at first an institution performs a function but later that institution becomes a target and becomes hijacked and then is used to further the goals of the group that hijacked the institution, it is nothing new, that strategy has been used for a very long time and no matter the size or the type of institution it is a strategy that is guaranteed to succeed with time.
1570  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: December 04, 2017, 05:38:34 PM
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.

With the current price of bitcoin now it is impossible to loose its value. More and more investors are getting eager to acquire bitcoin because of its value and potential thats why the value keeps on going up because of the demand and also it is supported by most of the investors thats why it is impossible to loose its value it would take years or decades before bitcoin might fall.
More than its value it is the tremendous potential of bitcoin what it is attracting people all over the world, they are seeing that bitcoin is no longer something for people that are into computers, they are beginning to understand the technology and now they trust that bitcoin is not a scam that is going to disappear in just a few years all of that has made the price and the interest of people to go higher.
1571  Economy / Economics / Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest? on: December 04, 2017, 07:20:36 AM
A lot of people now days jumping and investing in the cryptocurrency industry.
If you are not investing in crypto, where do you else invest?
Property ? normal crowdfunding? give your input
There are many investment opportunities out there, the problem is that not a single one of those are going to give you the profits that bitcoin can give to you that is why I'm investing most of my capital in crypto and when I get my targets profits I'm going to cash out and invest in other safer alternatives, gold and silver, properties, stocks and some business ideas, obviously I will do that only if I have enough capital to do so since all of those investments are very pricey.
Yes as of now there are no other investments that would totally gained so much  profit except bitcoin. But if given chances to invest aside from cryptocurrency,i would chose to buy second hand automobiles and then improvised it and sell it again. It's really proven because my neighbor had been doing it and had gained profit almost 50% from the original purchase.
As long as you know what you are doing then there are many opportunities to profit, I know some people that invest in timber, and when the price is low they prefer to not cut their trees, they say it is like having gold stored, so when it goes up in value they begin to cut it and earn some nice money that way, it is an easy business but you need a lot of capital.
1572  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 TRANSFORMATION HAS BEGUN! CSNO TOKENS ADDED! 🎰🎰🎰 on: December 04, 2017, 05:57:33 AM
Just weighing in on a few sportsbooks comments and suggestions I've seen here.

1. The BitDice brand is good enough. I see nothing wrong with BitDice Sports or whatever tag needs to be added. The brand is recognized and can even tap into Dice players to grow.
2. Odds are one thing to attract new players, but I think small odd differences will not lure betters on other websites like Nitro. What people prefer is fair play... make the rules straightforward. No sudden or vague requirements. Settle bets quickly this is what actual sportsbetters like.
3. Cater to international audience first... there is a big Asian market and even African who all bet on illegal online places because they can't find legal markets. I don't know if this is possible but there are games and leagues you won't find on Nitro or even the big ones like Betfair. Crypto betting can open up BitDice as the only place to find these games.
While the number 3 of your points seems like a good idea there are too many unknowns, first we do not know the size of the more exotic markets so it is difficult to gauge how big of an interest adding those markets will generate, second it makes more sense to add markets for which we know there is already demand and then add those games later, and third an issue with those markets is that is difficult to get info about them so the odds most of the time are not the best.
1573  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin for $1 Million !!! In ten years? on: December 03, 2017, 08:39:10 PM
Haha, I saw that chart too. The parabolic curve is about to go parabolic on a logarithmic scale Grin

Makes you wonder if some day a Bitcoin will be worth more than a Rembrandt.
This is irrelevant, the most important thing is that a Rembrandt be priced on bitcoin instead of dollars, and instead of being marveled at the amount of millions of dollars the rich people use to buy it that we were marveled at the amount of bitcoin someone used to buy that Rembrandt and if things continue at the current pace it is very likely that future is going to become a reality.
1574  Economy / Speculation / Re: USD 36,000.00 in the next four weeks. on: December 03, 2017, 07:20:09 PM

Has anyone seen anything like this in the history of the trade-world? Shocked

This is not the trade world. This is a completely different world where neither stock, currency or commodity rules apply. Bitcoin is unique in that it is an asset as well as practically being used with limited supply. All these charts are useless in my opinion and considering so much hype all over the world about Bitcoin, its going to explode to unimaginable levels easily.
I disagree the same rules apply, the difference is that we are seeing the birth of a completely new way of understanding currencies and this is creating a whole new market, imagine that no one before sold real estate and somebody got the bright idea to do exactly that, that will create a new untapped market and I'm sure we will see something similar to what we are seeing right now with bitcoin.
1575  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the anti government on: December 03, 2017, 03:19:39 AM
I think 80% of people are anti government , it is just because some of the law of governments are causing people be in poverty . some people also thinks that the government didn't do anything for their own countrymen ..
If you think about it governments do not really solve anything and in fact create more problems than they solve, they charge you taxes to keep you safe and yet criminality rates in my country are sky high, they say they redistribute wealth for the poor, but they steal most of that money and they do not generate wealth themselves so they make the process and even greater waste of time, so like you see governments of the world fail at almost anything they are supposed to do.

Taxes is  the one of the reason for anti government thought. All the country in this world charging taxes from there people expect Arabian country.Did they spend that taxes for the people welfare???
Obviously no,so this make the people angry for the stealing of their money in the name  of taxes.
Correct and this is why they are growing even more unpopular, they are always thinking of new ways to steal your money and saying those taxes are for the poor, when in fact they are stealing that money, but this cannot continue for long, they may think we cannot do anything about it but at some point the economy they created based on debt is going to collapse and they are going to have to face the consequences of their actions.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 altcoins to buy right now before is too late on: December 03, 2017, 02:20:10 AM
Top 10 altcoins to buy right now before is too late?
Before it is too late for what? There are always new icos and coins every single month, you may miss the ride to the moon for a coin but there is always another coin ready to moon as well. So the most important thing is that you learn how to select altcoins based in their merits, forget about trying to make money fast because that is in fact the fastest way to lose money.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: December 03, 2017, 01:17:54 AM
Bitcoin is changing peoples mind for now, and bitcoin is slowly changing some countries. Full changes in all world are close, but not so much, there are many more minds that needs to be changed before that.
Bitcoin definitely changed the world (Including also the other crypto currencies). It helped people from countries with the most corrupt government to steal their money from the taxes that only goes straight to the pockets of corrupt politicians and banking institutions.  Cool

Bitcoin is Really Awesome (as well as the other crypto currencies)  Grin

Bitcoin helped us financially, but we didn't solve any problem's yet. Governments still take money for taxes and corrupt politicians are more richer. They will regulate bitcoin and other crypto coins, and they will find a way to tax all this, believe me on that.
Yes they are going to do that but what it is going to happen when not all countries follow the same regulations, what it is going to happen when a country like Japan says, hey all your bitcoin earnings are tax free, just come to japan and invest in it, we only need one government of the world to do that and the plans of every single country go to the trash can.

1579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too early vs late to buy bitcoin? on: December 02, 2017, 08:59:26 PM
Don't wait the crash or the correction to buy, most of my friends keep on waiting the price to go down, but the price never go down and they never invested in Bitcoin and in the end they regret about it, so if you got spare money go and buy now, no need to wait the price to go down
Investing in bitcoin is a risk, people need to understand that, so all of those waiting for the price to go down are not understanding bitcoin at all, if you want to make money with bitcoin you need to invest whenever you have some spare money to do so, that way your bitcoin holdings are going to keep growing and in the long term your profits are going to dwarf your costs.
1580  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: December 02, 2017, 05:48:45 PM
i believe its likely but a of his omentit would not be happen. a number of nations are not progressive and there is many people cannot do an adjusment about this scenario.stm
If enough people do it they will have no other choice but to follow as well, it is similar to what happened to computers, many people at first did not saw the benefits of computers and they refused to use them now someone that has that attitude is probably never going to find a job ever again, at some point people are going to be forced by circumstances to accept bitcoin.
