1541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ? on: December 10, 2017, 10:06:35 PM
I think BTC is overvalued now, I'm selling my Bitcoin and switch to Ethereum and fiat money. When BTC prices fall I will buy again. Long term trading means sell at big highs and buy at big lows for me. I don't wait 3 years and miss all the ups and downs.

But how can you be so sure, that is true if we look at the charts backwards but if you pick the wrong timing only once you are out of this game. You will eventually get rekt.
That is the irony of trading, if you are able to guess correctly when to sell and when to buy then you can make a fortune in a relatively short amount of time, but you only need to make a mistake once and you could lose almost all of your money in a matter of days, since I'm not willing to take those risks I just hold for the long term but for those that have the knowledge it may be worth to try to guess the direction the market is going to take.
1542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Short Term Profit on: December 10, 2017, 08:59:52 PM
Hey Guys,

What coins do you think will offer a great profit in short time?

Thanks
What kind of profits are you looking to generate in the short term? If you are looking for a reasonable growth of 10% or 20% in a few months there are good chances some of the most established alts are able to deliver but if you want big profits you are going to need to invest in more risky altcoins with the issue that the risk of losing your money is much higher as well.
1543  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: December 10, 2017, 06:41:35 PM
Many countries want to limit or see the disappearing cash but I do not think it's a good idea.
They want cash to disappear so they can watch more closely what you are doing with your money, they only want to monitor you more closely but cryptocurrencies are not what they want, it is true that with bitcoin you can see all the transactions of everyone so there is no privacy but the fact there is not control of who can get bitcoin and what they can do with it bothers governments.
1544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is it the Future of Banking ? on: December 10, 2017, 04:06:35 AM
i was thinking about the Bitcoin and it's Future in Banking . can it remplace money in transactions ?
While I'm positive about bitcoin future I do not think that is going to happen that easily, banks are not going to surrender I think that what we are going to see for a long time is the fiat system and bitcoin both running in parallel for some time, then once the current fiat system collapses governments will try to impose a new system but with bitcoin as an alternative the new system is not going to be as widely accepted as they want and bitcoin will begin to dominate the world economy.
1545  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Some Speculating Bitcoin To Crash? on: December 10, 2017, 02:36:35 AM

I could not understand why there are those who are also in Bitcoin yet are predicting that Bitcoin can go as low as $3,000 or even  $5,000 when a crash can happen soon. I am not saying that a dip -- a big dip -- will never happen but considering the things happening right now in the world of cryptocurrency, I don't believe that it can go as low as those figures.

Maybe if one day USA will decide to follow the footsteps of Japan in banning Bitcoin trading activities, then maybe it can be possible that Bitcoin can crash big time but even then it can still be able to recover fast due to people always waiting for an opportunity to buy Bitcoin cheaply.

Are you expecting Bitcoin to get so low once it crashed?
I believe in bitcoin but we need to be honest with ourselves the growth has been simply too fast, so those that are predicting a crash have some reasons to think that, while I think that most of the growth is legit we need to acknowledge that things are not moving at a normal speed, I do not think we are going to go that low but I think there is a possibility we see prices of 10k to 12k.
1546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did you adopt Bitcoin - Ideology, Technology, Monetary on: December 10, 2017, 01:14:10 AM
I voted by all the above, if bitcoin only had two of those three components it will not be as successful but bitcoin has it all, the technology is the work of a genius, the ideology behind is spot on, bitcoin is based on solid economic principles and not in unproven theories, the innovation in the ideology is that we do not need a central authority and finally lets be honest we love the amount of money we are making with bitcoin.
1547  Economy / Economics / Re: If the powerful governments wanted to, do you think they could stop Bitcoin? on: December 09, 2017, 10:01:02 PM
They can stop bitcoin operation on their countries but the total usage of bitcoin, I doubt it they can stop it. There's a massive adoption that bitcoin has recently and gov't isn't taking any step of looking on it as something that can be stopped.
I agree to that. The only thing that a government can do is to stop bitcoin for the transactions that is going in their country and after that then there they can't do anything more than that. Bitcoin is just cryptocurrency and it is decentralized so even the governments can't do anything to fully stop it as a cryptocurrency.
Not really the US monitors all the Internet and many of the servers run through the US so they can in theory block a great degree of Internet traffic and that includes bitcoin as well, but at the end it does not matter as long as there are other countries that accept bitcoin, this is why I think in the future governments will have no other option but to accept bitcoin whether they like it or not.
1548  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about bitcoin interest in the near future? on: December 09, 2017, 08:33:11 PM
Bitcoin Interest is depended on the acceptance levels of a country as we all expect no negative warnings from the government and we can understand it's usage or price is based solemnly upon demand and supply where people start investing in bitcoin equity market which cannot be intervened by any ruling body ultimately we all investors gain profits when price keeps increasing.
I am sure even the governments of every country now know they really do not have a choice. This is more or less like a revolution that has come to stay and it is far more than their power to control than to just accept it and find a way to benefit from it. The market cap is increasing by the day and in the long run, bitcoin is going to become highly usable to keep it sustained in the long run which makes the future certain.
Some countries are going to definitely try to stop it, but I think they are going to be a minority, the most advanced countries will realize that stopping bitcoin is simply impossible and they are going to do what they do better which is to adapt to this new situation and try to make it work for them but even those countries are going find problems policing something like bitcoin the same way they have problems policing the Internet.
1549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to start investing with 1$? on: December 09, 2017, 07:33:45 PM
When I started investing, ethereum was less than 1 dollar Smiley
But those times are never going to come back, 1 dollar was fine back then since as you said you needed that to buy 1 ETH if we use your analogy we need at least 462 dollars to buy 1 ETH right now, anything less than that is simply not enough, bitcoin fees can be quite high so investing a dollar is just a waste of time and as time passes the minimum amount needed to invest in crypto is only going to grow.
1550  Economy / Economics / Re: Selling Bitcoin = Opportunity loss?! on: December 09, 2017, 03:39:24 AM
Many posts discuss the possibility of exchange earnings with selling Bitcoin (and buy later). Other posts discuss the Bitcoin exchange rate, it seems that many agree there is a strong upward tendency and the volatility is hard to predict. It seems dat selling Bitcoin results in a serious probability of an opportunity loss. Selling Bitcoin can only be motivated by an (partial) exit. Do you agree?
Well the post has been proven prophetic, and this is something that I think as well, for someone like me there is no point in selling just a portion of my bitcoin since I believe that bitcoin is going to reach very high prices in the future, so if I sold part of my bitcoin now, I may secure some profits but I will be unable to get all the profits that bitcoin is going to generate in the next year and I do not want to miss any of that.
1551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you first know about bitcoin what was the price? on: December 09, 2017, 01:30:34 AM
bitcoin price is know over $11714.95 and growing,
share your knowledge/memory of the first time you know of the value of bitcoin was.
My first time knowing bitcoin it was valued at $200+. Smiley
The first time I saw bitcoin price was 185 dollars and I thought it was very high for something you could not touch with your hands and that made me curious about that and then I began researching about it and I understood that it was probably undervalued, but I did not had any money so I missed my opportunity if I invested in bitcoin at that time I will be in a very good economic position.
1552  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should worry this is a bubble on: December 09, 2017, 12:19:06 AM
unfortunately, if it's a bubble, then people won't have the opportunity to start anew...they will have nothing...I think that there is such possibility...and so you can say about everything...so we just should think and weigh all the pros and cons

If this is a bubble and people invest their money at these high prices then they have no one else to blame but themselves, investing is always a risk, investing in bitcoin or any alts is risky the rewards are there for anyone that has the guts to invest but if you are ready to get the profits you need to be able to accept the losses as well, if the price crashed we are going to get a lot of topics from newbies saying that bitcoin is a scam when no one forced them to invest in bitcoin money they could not afford to lose.
1553  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 TRANSFORMATION HAS BEGUN! CSNO TOKENS ADDED! 🎰🎰🎰 on: December 08, 2017, 10:59:55 PM
I'm pretty sure Alex has the marketing stuff figured out.  There's no need to give up the Bitdice name, but some sort of 'soft rebranding' is a must for a gambling site that looks to expand and offer new products in the pipeline.

So excited with the poker site they'll build.  Maybe create a 'Bitdice Poker Network' where other BTC poker sites can connect and share their player pool within the network.  That would be awesome.

So they will be bring poker to the website very soon? I am yet to see a cryptocurrency gambling website that has pokergambling,  I have been checking around the forum and it seems that a lot of people are indeed searching for places where they play poker there.
According to the roadmap poker will be added in q4 of 2018, it's not going to be very soon(i hope i'm wrong). Roll Eyes

Sportsbetting is more profitable. Poker is not worth it at the moment.

Sports betting is more profitable, because of the fact that it is easy to understand and play. Even if you don't have a prior amount of experience, your chances of winning is very high given that you are knowledgable with the kind of sports you are betting into. Also, the results are actual which serves as your guideline for future betting. Where in poker, your chances rely on your skill and experience with a little bit of luck.
Not only that who does not enjoy watching some sports or even playing their favorite sport, so the amount of people you can reach is bigger in the other hand there are not many poker sites that accept bitcoin and the few I have tried have been disappointing so if BitDice is able to pull this off correctly they could easily dominate the market since there is not a lot of competition.
1554  Economy / Economics / Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest? on: December 08, 2017, 06:59:59 PM
If you are talking about long-term investments, so robotics science is my choice. Boston dynamics are really making the whole industry popular, just watch them on youtube.
And also, Tesla! Hyperloop, Dragon and Tesla cars are awesome, but their profits are not so huge as technical highlights.
Investing in new and promising technologies is always a way to make a lot of money, you just need to find something that has a future, even if bitcoin is a currency and not a stock, it follows the same principle many of us are invested in the idea bitcoin is the future of currencies and if we are right the earnings we are going to get are going to be out of this world.
1555  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Buying Bitcoin at $10K? on: December 08, 2017, 04:33:05 AM
Ten years ago I ran into "The most Interesting Man in the World!"

He was my taxi driver....  He told me to Short Banks, buy Amazon and Facebook and that Satoshi Nakamoto published  an interesting  nine page white paper on Bitcoin BlockChain that will change the way the World's Financial Markets operate.

A Rubicon so to speak, that once crossed there is no going back.

Go with BTC my Friend.
If that is true that is one hell of a story and what a great advice, the only thing taxi drivers talk in my country is the NFL and soccer I will prefer that they stay quiet but they keep talking as if they are saying some of the most interesting things in the world. But on topic, bitcoin reached 18k today and now is suffering a correction, so that should tell to us that buying bitcoin is still worth it.
1556  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy low and selling high on different exchanges on: December 08, 2017, 01:23:43 AM
There are significant differences in pricing on various exchanges. What is to stop someone from buying at a low rate on one exchange, sending it across into another exchange and dumping it for a profit?

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets

Can someone please explain the catch?
It is not as simple as you may think, the prices tend to have a difference when it comes to local exchanges, for example every time I see a Korean exchange have way higher prices, but most of the time you need to have a local bank account in that country, also if there is a big price difference that may be the sign of problems in the liquidity of the exchange so arbitrage trading has more risks than what you may think.
1557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: December 07, 2017, 08:41:51 PM
Bitcoin is changing the way we live.
Bitcoin is changing the way we do business.
Bitcoin is changing the way we travel and save our money/assets.
Bitcoin and blockchain technology has open new doors for people to do business with one another without the intervention of third parties.

What do you make of this, huh? Share with us what you think. thanks Smiley

It seems to me that by the New Year, the crypto-currencies will start to fall in price, because everyone will start withdrawing money to Fiat to buy gifts for their loved ones. And then we'll all see new record prices for crypto-currencies. Yes, bitcoin and its technology, change the world. Wink
That is not really a factor, bitcoin goes up most of the time at the end of the year, those that are in the situation to sell their bitcoin to get gifts for their loved are not people that are holding for the long term, they were in bitcoin to obtain a quick profit and now that the value of bitcoin is so high is likely they are already selling their bitcoin, not a bad move but bitcoin is going to keep growing for a very long time,
1558  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the anti government on: December 07, 2017, 07:19:49 PM
Well I don`t think that people are anti government but they are against of a sided government who controls money and gives it to its supporters whereas just rich become richer and poor poorer. If there is no injustice why one would be against government. ?
Correct, governments are supposed to be there to administrate the nation and make it better, but at some point that gets forgotten and the government itself becomes the priority that is why you see governments that only care about maintaining themselves in power and politicians that are only thinking about how to enrich themselves and buy people votes so people vote for them again.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 altcoins to buy right now before is too late on: December 07, 2017, 05:56:50 PM
The beginning of 2018 might be rough for altcoins that got their recent rise alongside BTC.

The last months have been very difficult for most alts, bitcoin does not stop growing and at the same time alts developers need to be worried, if bitcoin is in a bubble the crash is going to affect the market of alts even further and make them lose money, but if this is not a bubble alts are going to be left severely undervalued against bitcoin and they will need a lot of time to catch up.
1560  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: December 07, 2017, 03:13:33 AM
Cash will never be extinct even how much they would try... Cash will still remain because not all the places in the world is connected to internet or to mobile connection... there are many places in the world that are still remote where cryptocurrencies are never heard before. You might even lose your head if you say you'll gonna pay them with a cryptocurrency.
I have a little bit different opinion in this matter because I think the world is going to be taken over by technology in near future and all the things are going to be automated rather  converted into digital form.  Now that we have been introduced with crypto currencies which are a way faster than paper money transactions and a lot better in many other aspects, there is a possibility that we will live in a cashless society one day.
Technology is taking over the world but you cannot except that process to be symmetrical all over the world, in first world countries this is possible since those are rich countries in which most people have access to a lot of resources, but in third world countries where a lot of people are struggling to survive you cannot hope that process to have the same speed as in first world countries.
