2041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe the FBI holds the biggest number of bitcoin? on: August 21, 2017, 02:46:45 AM
Who in FBI holds Bitcoin? FBI isn't a person and only Individuals can hold Bitcoins.

If there is a party trying to control Bitcoins it's China. USA can be watching it, but I don't believe they are trying to have control over it or anything similar...
We cannot be this naive, a government is not a person either and yet they have properties, responsibilities and all kind of holdings from land and fiat from other countries to gold, we do not know if the FBI is holding any bitcoin but if the higher ups in the FBI wanted the institution to have some bitcoin in case it was needed then they could easily arrange that.
2042  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 ICO ANNOUNCE 15 AUG 2017! JOIN THE TRANSFORMATION! 🎰🎰🎰 on: August 21, 2017, 02:42:48 AM
I have 10BTC invested in this ICO! Getting excited about launch! Let's roll  Cool
I could wish you luck but that is completely unnecessary you are investing in one of the most serious bitcoin casinos and in one of the best ICOs, besides with the new announcement by Alex that they are looking into integrating IOTA in order to overcome some issues then things are starting to look even better for the ICO.
2043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins needed for martingale on: August 21, 2017, 02:34:07 AM
I don't understand so much love for Martingale strategy.

The only reason for its popularity is that under certain conditions(lots of money and time) it gives a predictable outcome in terms of profits. It’s not a sure bet, but it’s about as close as you can get.

There is no fix amount you would need even if casino doesn't limit it. This strategy would rob you off your time and money. Martingale strategy bring with it a huge chance of getting you broke. So as always said bring the amount you can afford to lose in gambling and if you are lucky enough you can earn in that too.
The reason why martingale is so popular is because for those that do not take the time to make the calculations, it gives the impression that it is a safe way to make money with gambling when in fact martingale does not change anything, you are going to lose as much as any other person since the house edge is going to be there to make sure of that, besides the amount of money you need to put at risk to only win 1 satoshi is ridiculous high.
2044  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin die soon? on: August 21, 2017, 02:29:30 AM
I dont really think that bitcoin is gonna die soon, but nobody knows what can happen in a few years... As far as everybody knows here, bitcoin is the main cryptocurrencie, so it will continue growing in the next years, because this is the new era of money people, and everybody must know it.

There's a possibility that bitcoin die in the future, but in my opinion I think before it happen it will takes a hundred years. Because these coming past few days bitcoin shown of a good performance in the market and  I think it was enough to catch up the eye of many investors to support bitcoin. In additional bitcoin is the famous digital currency in the world now so I never think now the dying day of bitcoin.
It is very difficult to make predictions for such an extended periods of time, just look at the pace in which people replace cell phones even if the cell phones are still in prefect working condition, bitcoin is great but to think that nothing better is going to come along in the hundreds of years is in my opinion to be too naive and too optimistic.
2045  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC upto 5000$!! on: August 21, 2017, 02:25:21 AM
btc will cross upto 5000$ in this year last in December.
I think it can be.

What do u think?

Yeah definitely.

However, i think that it is likely we'll hit the all time high at around $5000 per bitcoin at around end of August to mid September. After that, there might be some sort of bearish market acitvities which will drive the price of bitcoin down quite a lot due to the fact that bitcoin has simply been pumped so much in such a short period of time. A selloff could mean that by December the price could be a lot lower.

But as i said - $5k is probably likely going to be seen this year. Whether or not it's going to sustain into december is going to be unlikely.

Still at $4200 though, we still need like a 18% pump. This current pump is quite strong though, so it's probbaly not a very hard target to reach at all.
Sustaining the current price is going to be impossible I think that what is happening is that people are expecting one last upward push, if you watch the graphs the recent price has gone down for the past days, to me this is an indication that the whales have cash out some money but are preparing to pump the price of bitcoin one last time before exiting and let the price go back to something close to 3700 after that we are going to see a market without too much movement until December.

What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.?

If we advertise bitcoin on T.V., it will be such a far-fetched idea knowing the fact that the government doesn't want the mass to know about bitcoin. Advertising bitcoin on TV will be very absurd on their part because they are promoting a currency that's against their ways. Only time this is going to happen is when mass adoption has already happened and the government has no other choice but to just embrace the ideology of bitcoin.
Governments stopped having control long time ago of what as broadcast, now with th internet it is impossible to buy every single blogger and youtuber, this is why the television is losing customer base, people can tell they are bought and part of the system that is why people are turning their backs to massive media and looking for answers someplace else.
Yes, and now the most powerful advertisement is media. not all people watch television movies or etc but peoples do spend more time in social media or social networking sites in just a click you will see unlike in the television. We don't need that bitcoins will autimatically spreading .
Correct I stopped watching television and going to the movie theaters since most of what it is produced today is pure garbage with a lot of computer generated effects but without any substance, however when it comes to the internet I realized that I spend a good portion of my free time in youtube watching what other people publish which in my opinion can be a lot more funny than what the television networks are producing today.
2047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will bitcoincash / BCC price be equal to bitcoin / BTC price? on: August 20, 2017, 05:59:58 AM
NO WAY

Sorry, Bitcoin Cash is an alt crapcoin. Hate to break it to you. Not sorry if it hurt your feelings. Anyone who is experienced in crypto has seen such coins rise and fall before, including Bitcoin Plus (which turned out to be a scam).

I am not saying that Bitcoin Cash is a scam. More like a disagreement between a small segment of the community. However, if you think it will rival Bitcoin in any way just because it got pumped by the Koreans... then stop thinking it, because you are only going to lose you money if you fall for the pump-and-dump. (It happened to me before, I am simply warning you ahead of time!)
I agree with this, bitcoin cash does not have the user base of bitcoin that alone makes it impossible for bitcoin cash to reach the price of bitcoin and if that was not enough the fact that this hard fork came out of nowhere has created resentment in some users because as we know there is another fork coming so this is creating an environment in which anyone can fork bitcoin and create their own version if this continues there are going to be 5, 10, or even 20 bitcoin variations in the future all of them arguing to be the real one.
2048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: August 20, 2017, 05:46:45 AM
I talk to people about Bitcoin whenever I can, the trouble is not enough people are interested by the concept of it. Bitcoin does not belong in our society, they don't believe in the idea
2 years ago, a lot of people asked me about Bitcoin but the point was not much believed or even had interested in Bitcoin. Now, they find me and want me to teach them anything about Bitcoin. However, I refuse but I still guide my relatives, so many people ask: My parent's friend, my friend, someone on the internet
This is an approach that I have taken as well, many people have made fun of me because I believe in this new technology and now that the very same people are seeing the big growth of bitcoin they are trying to ask me questions about bitcoin and how to earn it but I just play dumb and say that I abandoned bitcoin some time ago, I’m only going to share information with my family and friends if they want to hear it and are enthusiastic about bitcoin.
2049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in ICO, still promising? on: August 20, 2017, 05:40:43 AM
ICO now is the new investor based games, like a pyramid scheme that will collapse once big investor cash out their money and move to the next one.
I dont trust all ICO specially the project that dont have solid proof.
What you describe may happen but only to the projects that have no merit, if a project has merit a whale can withdraw his money if he wants and that can make the price of the coin to go very low but it is not going to destroy the coin and in fact it can make it stronger since instead of a whale manipulating the price you will have many small holders and that is good for any project.
2050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 BITCOlN CASH JUST MINED FIRST EVER 8MB BLOCK!!!! 🔥 on: August 20, 2017, 05:27:43 AM
https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/block/479469
Number of transactions of this block: 37,814

Some people would say that BCH has a scaling problem. Even 8 MB blocks don't seem to be enough.  Tongue
Where can you draw the line?
Blocks of 8 are enough for a long time but Bitcoin Cash recived a spam attack from some Segwitt supporters
Found the limit is like try to predict how many bytes will have a pendrive in the future. Technology is every year better and Satoshi said once that this will not a big problem.

Spam attack? That is funny. I thought that this was the reason given by small block supporters whenever blocks ran full.
And why would Segwit supporters need to attack Bitcoin cash by spamming (and thereby proving that higher transaction throughput is required)?
Exactly and even if that was the case then the fact that a blockchain with 8MB blocks can be spammed so easily show to us that just increasing the size of the blocks is not the right solution since anyone can just spam the network with very low transactions and fill those blocks, if a person admits to this then they are basically admitting that their solution is not the right one.
2051  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: August 20, 2017, 05:22:32 AM
yesss and it will continue to rise until no one knows how much

maybe $10k or even $100k  ? just enjoy the ride or buy if you haven't got any btc
I think we are getting to the point in which it is getting late to get in, what I mean is that the price keeps climbing and it becomes more and more difficult for normal people to get a bitcoin, at the moment the price is so high that many in the third world cannot afford a single bitcoin, and if things keep going in this direction the average people in the first world will be unable to get a full coin too.
For now ordinary people or poor people will not be able to buy 1 bitcoin now because the price is very high, but a billionaire can buy it all with ease.  We do not need to think about it, the evidence until now bitcoin still has a very high price and more and more people are interested in bitcoin.
You are right about that, but while it is very easy for a billionaire to buy as much bitcoin as he wants we also need to look for the average person, fortunately for us, we got into bitcoin earlier but most people are not going to be that fortunate, at this point it seems that the average person is not going to be able to afford 0.1BTC in the near future or maybe even less if the price of bitcoin keeps going up as we expect.
2052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [SHIFT] Speculation - Next 100x coin on: August 19, 2017, 03:38:46 AM
It could be a game changer for the internet, it's like lbry, lisk, eth, and more all together. But reading their latest updates it seems they've had some problems, loosing the golden block, low on funds, asking for donations, a fork. Maybe they will run another ICO, that will not be a good image for them. I bought some hoping they get it together. They promise to release something soon, at least news, but there is no concrete information, no roadmap. This keeps the investors away and the price low. Seems they have a competitor, IPFS.
What they are proposing sounds great on paper but it is something that will depend completely on execution and that is not going to be easy at all to do, I hope they are successful even if I’m not thinking on investing money on the project since it seems they are having some problems but if they are successful on what they are doing they could change the way we understand the internet forever.
2053  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this for real? I could be a millionaire? on: August 19, 2017, 03:35:01 AM
I m sorry to tell you but YES, you could ve been a millionaire. However, you still can be a millionaire, there re several promising altcoins which can bring you a lot of money. They probably wont repeat BTC success but you could see 50x price growth with some of them without issues.

So, dont cry over spilled milk but go and do some research!
This is the right attitude, we missed the bitcoin train on its beginning stages but you can grab other coins that are just beginning and have a similar success, not as big as the one that we could have with bitcoin but big enough that if you are talented you could become a millionaire in the next 10 years but for that the most important thing is to learn as much about crypto to know which projects are real and which ones are just scams.
2054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin wallet be hacked by hackers? on: August 19, 2017, 03:27:35 AM
Yes or no. What's more likely to happen if someone will hack your computer. That doesn't necessarily mean that the wallet is compromised itself simply that they picked up your addresses keys while you were copying pasting them at some point, or they leached information of a text file Where you were storing your keys. As long as you get your wallet software from a reputable source and there's only a few of them that itself is nice and secure.
True, small hacks are a lot more common than big hacks, instead to try to break the technology created by security conscious developers is a lot easier to hack people that download something out of the internet and then begin to key log him then when the user at some point copies his private key then the spying software sends that info to the hacker that then process to steal the funds.
2055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP [Ripple] ??? FALLING DOWN? on: August 19, 2017, 03:00:57 AM
I don't think so that investing in ripple is a good option it price will not grow more than 30 cents as with the boom of crypto currency ripple is still way behind than its rival altcoins.. and investing in any altcoin is a gamble and if want to invest in ripple its all upon u, best of luck

What a bullshit!
Ripple is one of the leading Cryptocompanies. They are coding for a real use. Companies from all over the world testing and using their products. Show me only ONE more coin, which such an integration in the market. ETH might be a rival, but they plough through another field. To invest in XRP is so far away from gambling, like puking from drinking.
I agree somewhat with this, ripple is not my favorite coin at all but that comes from what it stands for and not for what it is, ripple is a good project with good developers creating a quality product, I wish it was not a rival to bitcoin but that is what it is, so for those that care mostly about making profits trading coins ripple seems like a good coin to buy and hold.
2056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Every ICO can F*ck off, especially SONM. on: August 18, 2017, 02:11:18 AM
ICOs should be either regulated and bounded to follow some rules to protect investors or should be forbidden.
There is no way that you can invest into something which offers no investor protection.
Greedy investors are unable to comprehend what risk they've agreed to by trusting their money to ICO managers.
There is rarely any innovation these days and certainly no decentralization.
There are going to be some attempts like what the SEC is doing at the moment but that is not going to stop ICOs, there is simply too much money to be made for the developers and they are not going to stop creating new projects as long as people are willing to invest in those projects without any kind of protection, if people required all of those protections we are talking they will not invest in ICOs on the first place.
2057  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: August 18, 2017, 02:04:37 AM
Bitcoin is expensive anyway. It's around 3500 EUR and 3900 USD. If we assume that we'll buy now, we need bitcoin to be $20,000 to get rich. This is not possible in short term.
With your calculations we will need 50BTC to be a millionaire at a price of 20000 for each bitcoin at the current prices that is more than 200000 dollars, anyone willing to drop that huge amount on bitcoin probably does not have any economic problems at all, I think your biggest chance is to trade altcoins and hope for one of them to skyrocket and then buy bitcoin with your earnings.
2058  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC upto 5000$!! on: August 18, 2017, 01:58:34 AM
After 1st Aug bitcoin value is rising continuously, now the value is 3450$ .If the value grows continuously like this then it is very much possible to touch the 5000$ mark. The increasing value of BTC attracting more and more investor to it, so the demand of btc gradually increasing more and more causing in price increasing.
Your right I think that bitcoin touches $5000 before end of the year. Due to good performance of bitcoin in the market I see that it will be continue increasing for this time. Hoping that bitcoin price was not stop to increase in this year.
Due to the segwit of bitcoin and $5000 will be real. Japan already hyped the bitcoin a lot. and it will be reached before the end of the September, I mean segwit 2x in September will be a key to raising the price of bitcoin again in the future.
Segwit2x is another hard fork while some may think that will make the price to go up, I think that altcoin has more possibilities of damaging bitcoin than what some people think, it has way bigger miner support and even some exchanges and other business are on board besides it is not going to be like bitcoin cash which was more a spur of the moment kind of thing, this is planned.
2059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins needed for martingale on: August 18, 2017, 01:53:22 AM
I know that the martingale system could only win if an infinite amount is available and an infinitely high amount is likely to be placed and Casinos are protected against martingale.
Nevertheless, it would be interesting for theory to calculate the amount in relation to the highest known loss sequence.
Example:
Game: Dice Game
Minimum bet: 1 Satoshi
Maximum bet: no limit.
Highest known loss sequence on dice game: ?

Necessary maximum amount for theoretical safe gain: ?
You are missing the point, there is not a theoretical safe bet you could calculate, if you based your martingale in 20 losses in a row, what will happen when you lose that 21 time in a row? You lose everything, then you may try with 40 times in a row, that will be safer since that is harder to happen but it  will eventually happen, in a universe with enough time the weirdest things will happen, losing 40 times in a row is not a big deal.
