Here is one example of kind of string operation done https://twitter.com/coffeebreak_YT/status/1621581040539033603?t=Vy7hWZYrxK4mob8EeFMeHw&s=19It amplifies the need for investors to do their complete research before investing in newly launched projects. Even the person you had been admiring or following on social media platforms can be just promoting a scam. So apply some common sense next time instead of blindly following the expert financial advice of these gurus. Another platform, where this abuse frequently happens is YouTube where creators promote number of fake projects.

Link to the news https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/news/fbi-says-cryptocurrency-scams-involving-tether-and-usd-coin-on-the-rise-in-denver/ar-AA175wgQMy take on this is that scams related to alt coins are on rise all over the world. There is need to take concrete steps to fight against this like 1) Strict punishment for scammers who are caught doing fraud with crypto. This has not happened in past. In fact, in some cases, major scammers were let free because of connections or other reasons. There should be such strict punishments that no one can dare to think of scam in future because of fear. 2) Government should take steps to increase awareness related to crypto in general masses. They should hire experts to give detailed talks and recommend measures to general public to remain safe.

This rank system should be kept as simple as possible. If you notice generally during school and college, only three ranks are given importance. First, second and third. There hundreds of students in each class and if we give each of them one rank (which is practically possible), the significance of ranks is gone. The current number of ranks are already enough and there is no need to add more ranks to complicate the system. Hero and legendary are kind of similar for me, it is just matter of time to reach the next rank. One has already proved his worth and knowledge by attaining the first higher rank.

On Dec 2022, COIN's market value was $32 and on Jan 27, 2023, it is $61.47. What is the reason behind this 90% increase in price in your opinion. I also checked recent news related to Coinbase exchanges and could not find anything favorable. On the other hand, they are having all sort of issues which should have caused a decline in the stock coin price. Like they laid off 20% of the staff in January this year. https://cryptoslate.com/coinbase-lays-off-950-employees/They also then shut down operations in Japan recently. Then what is causing this reverse action ? Is it kind of trap by whales to dupe innocent investors and then dump the coin ?

Link to news https://ustoday.news/one-of-the-largest-us-colleges-has-started-teaching-students-about-bitcoin/Very commendable step in my opinion. We need the youth to eb aware about both the benefits and limitations of crypto. This will encourage crypto adoption on a large scale all over the world. We should also try to educate people nearby about crypto. If you do not have access to students, you can educate your relatives and friends. Then only this information will spread fast and we will have global use case and adoption for bitcoin.

It's like whales are trying to exit from Solana using this coin.
How does that work ? Converting the coin and then dumping you mean here ?

Adoption could increase while having the price go down. How could this happen? Lets assume that the market cap is 1 trillion dollars, but only 10 billion dollars of that were used for online shopping, then another year the marketcap is 500 billion, but 20 billion of that is used for online shopping.
See, you get the price going down, but the amount used on online shopping increased. That's basically this data shows, price is lower but more and more people are using it, and to be fair if given the option I would pick crypto over any other payment method as well, I always go with crypto than any other project and that's a lot better for me in the long run.
All the bitcoin in circulation is not being used for shopping. So even if shopping total has increases, overall demand might be less. This is the reason I can give for price going down.

This year adoption will be more massive than that of last year, with the economy crisis happening around the world, and with the way governments are taxing every payment made under it's local currency, business owners and Marchants will be forced to adopt crypto as means of payment to avoid most taxes.
That might be one of the reasons behind this. But Governments are powerful and evil enough to start putting heavy taxes on crypto transactions as well. The only option left with people is to hide these transactions from government which I never recommended to keep peace of mind.

Always wonder why someone trusts those third party tools to keep their sensitive and very important data safe despite events like those has been happening for years. I guess most of them are just too lazy to type in their password. If you can't remember your passwords, safe it somewhere offline, at least those that are very important to you. No matter "what security grade" stuffs they use, there are always a chance someone will breach it and cause massive damage. You are spot on with the reason that they are lazy. They do not even want to remember their passwords. Some think that is is more secured to keep passwords in an online password lock than a physical locker. With time, people should realize that these are also prone to hacks and leaks.

Update time 54% drop in prices in less than 11 hours.
It will soon be nearing 0 again from where it started. Hope this post helped members to remain informed and stay away from this shiny shit coin. If you still invested in this coin and are in loss, treat it as a valuable lesson for future. There will be similar launches in future which will follow exact same pattern so it is not hard to spot these.

It's a tricky one, but I absolutely believe that the digital dollar poses a threat to bitcoin. There is a possibility that the federal government will enact absurd taxes and restrictions. There are a number of ways in which this could negatively impact bitcoin owners, and even lead to a desire to sell their assets. As a result, the Fed will provide bitcoin owners with a tempting offer to convert their funds to the digital dollar at an initial one-to-one exchange rate that will eventually depreciate.
Is it even possible to create a system to convert crypto assets one to one to something like digital dollar?

Any smart early investor in this project should be thinking about dumping it now before the whales will do so, otherwise it is going to be a painful experience because no doubt this will be dumped really hard. Shitcoins like this are only meant for quick profit. It will be foolish for anyone to think of buying this meme coin at 900% up.
But the thinking of most of the investors is that if the price is increasing fast, they feel tempted to invest in it. They do not look at the bigger picture.

I know next to nothing about NFTs, which my question below might demonstrate. https://cointelegraph.com/news/nft-influencer-falls-victim-to-cyberattack-loses-300k-cryptopunksSurely one of the qualities of an NFT is that it is not fungible. Therefore, there is only one of its kind. So if this individual going by the name of "CryptoNovo" has had two "CryptoPunks" stolen and then apparently immediately sold onwards, surely the current owner is now in receipt of clearly stolen goods (since they are non-fungible)? Wouldn't the logical conclusion be that they therefore have no resale value and are therefore worth nothing? Much like the Mona Lisa being stolen - who would buy it when it's clearly been stolen? I just don't get it. In fact, I just don't get NFT 'art' (if it can be called that) at all, but that's another point altogether. You could just do a screenshot of it, if you wanted it that badly, and pretend it was 'original....I dunno. I also do not know much about NFT but their is digital signature kind of thing to prove ownership. You cannot screenshot it and claim it to be yours.

No, not a coincidence, some users started using #AMC, bots detected the term and that good things were associated with it so orders started flowing, by the time some misled users tried to buy in already there was a price movement so they just added a little more fire to the hype of FOMO or whatever. Bots that monitor social platforms or news headlines have been around for a while, so not surprising. But what's more worrying is that it's a coin that nearly got wiped out when Luna crashed and even the team behind it has gone silent since June last year , so some bought the shitcoin fo shitcoins based on a failed (terra) network. I just hope that Apple launching some device called iFan won't trigger some buys in one of the largest scams ever. I discourage this but there are some very smart people making good money following latest trends and news in crypto market.

Someone copied part of my post. Does this count as plagiarism? Original: I can make a deal per post, per week, per month or per year, payment in Bitcoin. Payment can be fixed in Bitcoin or dollars, but has to happen in Bitcoin. I prefer to be paid upfront, but I'm flexible if you're trusted enough. Copy: I can make a deal per post, per week, per month or per year for all the three above separately or together. Payment to be made in Bitcoin. We may agree to a fixed payment in dollars but the payment mode will be bitcoin. The idea for the thread came from your thread only. I am sorry if I hurt your feelings by copying the format. I will edit it soon. Edited the text.

The problem is that how will you proof that a message is AI written or self written ?
There are tools to detect this. You can find them by simple Google search. But the problem will be of scale. If people start abusing this here or on any other forum, because of the huge volume of spam, it will consume lot of forum staff time to spot and end this. This challenge will be faced by all forum owners in future. One site I can give example of here is Quora which is getting filled with such AI posts.
