How long does it takes to become a legendary member? I checked profile of some legendary members. They all joined forum in 2013,should I assume it normally takes 3 years to be a legendary member?Do legendary members have access to hidden area of forum as well?

it can take anywhere from 110 to 148 weeks (770 to 1036 days) provided that you make a post on every single activity periods.
afaik there's no hidden area exclusive to legendary users. well looks like a legendary user says otherwise. I stand corrected (I guess?).

I was joking of course, there is no secret area Cheesy.

and the secret area dream go poof.

I understand if I post in uncounted forums, I won't be paid for those posts.

I'll be using this address here as it was from my old coinbase account. The address I used before that was from my blockchain.info wallet, which is long forgotten.

Latest version for Windows 8.1 x64 won't install
 Roll Eyes

any error message or did it just stand there with something like "shouldn't take more than 30 seconds"?
267  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anybody know the make of this bicycle? on: April 13, 2016, 07:52:47 PM
looks very similar to Schwinn Super Deluxe Cruiser Bike 2014.

268  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinsbank.com is SCAM SCAM on: April 13, 2016, 07:29:35 PM
there's a contact page but there's no link to it on their homepage.
https://coinsbank.com/support

^posted that on the other thread before I realize that it's a duplicate.

theymos used

News: New! Latest stable version of Bitcoin Core: 0.12.0

for few weeks when it first came out.
it's not really a big change so I don't care much. and theymos usually use all bold text for something urgent or important.
270  Other / Meta / Re: Should Investor-Based games Sub-board be removed ? on: April 13, 2016, 04:24:26 PM
there was a discussion about it here (short-lived. but you should read it anyway.). I would agree that removing IBG section would be good only if all of ponzi can be moderated/outlawed. but I'm not sure if they ever will.
271  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to block/hide a topic that I don't need to read again? on: April 12, 2016, 10:34:53 PM
Is there a way to block or hide a topic that I've already read and don't want it to show up anymore?  Even though other people may need to read it, sometimes there are topics that I read once and don't really need to read it again, so I was just wondering if there was a feature to hide so it doesn't show up again.  Just curious.  Smiley

can't. hopefully something like this will be available on the new forum.
272  Economy / Auctions / Re: hero member auction 48 hours on: April 12, 2016, 09:47:50 PM
i can buy for 0.16BTC

0.161

0.165

not sure why you people bid 0.16 when the starting bid is 0.2.
273  Economy / Speculation / Re: to buy or not to buy on: April 12, 2016, 08:49:27 PM
Never buy, only earn my friend in my country they say he who buys is a fool but he who inherits is king.

I suspect that kind of principle only applies to certain stuff which are very different from bitcoin. an investment is always necessary to earn a sizable amount of bitcoin.
274  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: invest in my gambling on: April 12, 2016, 08:33:49 PM
I am a professional gambler.  Invest and I will gamble for you at low stakes pot limit omaha cash game.  I have previously gambled for other people and won money on their behalf.  References available upon request.

why would people trust you to gamble using their money when they can just do it themselves?
275  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: April 12, 2016, 07:18:24 PM
Just wanna ask, how does a property's value always goes up? Just wanna question this cause many people say it on the thread

they don't always go up.
276  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is going up and up on: April 12, 2016, 05:32:34 PM
what is causing this i guess more buyers?

more buyers than sellers, yes. this is just a speculation but I think that with the halving so close more people will hold their bitcoin in hope of a price rise after the halving.
277  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Polo down?? on: April 12, 2016, 02:35:13 AM

280  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: April 11, 2016, 11:37:36 PM
how do these sites know how much you've posted?

they hire a manager to keep track of posts. few signature campaigns uses bots to count (example: bit-x).

Also do they pay into a wallet like blockchain.info and `are the payments usually on time?

it varies. some pay directly to your address, some requires you to have an account on their service so that the payment will be sent there (example: bit-x).

are the payments usually on time?

usually, yes. but some signature campaigns have tendency to pay late. some are worse than others (example: bit-x).

though I still like bit-x.  Tongue
