261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin GOLD - A well thought Scam? on: October 24, 2017, 11:11:18 AM
IMO Bitcoin GOLD = bitcoin cash

So I don't think so it'll get good value.
Guy, are you serious ?
Bitcoin cash is more expansive than Ethereum.
That is not what you call "good value" ?

If all my coins vas at this price, I'll be rich :-).
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin GOLD - A well thought Scam? on: October 24, 2017, 10:03:09 AM
Bitcoin block number 491407 is reached : the Bitcoin blockchain snapshot is dome.
Next steps :
 - having tools to make the swap.
 - some exchanges to trade the coin.
 - some pools to mine and securise the coin.
But no stress, we have time.

Good luck Bitcoin gold.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A question about present and future on: October 18, 2017, 11:19:07 AM

Hi,

My electricity rate is around 0.15 - 0.17 USD. I need to know would I be profitable using 6x GTX 1060 6GB. I am open to any coin that exists and any coin that may see the light of the day.

Regards,

Rizwan
With your electricity rate and your RIG (6 x nVidia GTX 1060 6GB), you will probably earn something like 1,5 USD per day.
In other words, the ROI to refund the cost of your RIG is in years (more than 5 years : your GPUs will going to die before), if the altcoin market don't fall lower...
But if money goes to Bitcoin, altcoin are falling...
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 100x? on: October 18, 2017, 10:51:25 AM
Any suggestions as to the next 100x? (Please, nothing that has already been pumped, lol)
The next 100x will be Bitcoin.
Why ?
Because to mak 100x a lot of time is needed, years.
And where were all the altcoins in 5 or 8 years ? In the trash !
Then, the next x100 coin will be one more time Bitcoin.

100x $5500 = $ 550,000 : half a million per Bitcoin, not bad.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to buy when the BTC falls? on: October 18, 2017, 10:47:05 AM
What will you buy when the BTC falls? I believe that he will inevitably fall...
The answer is very simple and an evidence: Bitcoin, of course !
There is no best way to earn money to buy Bitcoin. And the best time to buy Bitcoins is when Bitcoin price is falling !
Very clear.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold & GPU Mining? on: October 18, 2017, 10:44:37 AM
Hi There, I'm not that expert in mining or not related to as I don't have that much money to buy powerful ASIC machines to mine bitcoins...

But, according to btcgpu.org Bitcoin Gold is for GPU miners.  Grin and that can really mine a lot of money using GPU's right?
How much money they can make with AMD RX580 8GB? Seems like a noob type question but really interested to know...
  Roll Eyes
No reals informations about Bitcoin Gold mining.

If Bitcoin gold is GPU mineable, the expected revenue will depends of the numbers of miners and the price of the coin.
Do you have these information ? No.
ou have to wait and see the "D day".

But AMD GPU are bad to mine the expected BTG algo
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: alternative currencies mining on: October 18, 2017, 10:40:37 AM

268  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BTC & BCC & BTG and other Altcoins on: October 18, 2017, 10:35:14 AM
Can know (with simple Technical words )Difference  Between BTC , BCC and BTG and why we classify this three in one group and other in other group
Bitcoin is the master.
Bitcoin is the first, and the only decentralized, with no organization, no team, no authority. Bitcoin is freedom.
BCC and BTG are Bitcoin copies (hard fork) : they are all new (even not yet born for BCG) and are not decentralized (a team have the authority).
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possible End of Bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 10:23:23 AM
Possible ?
Like "end of the world" ?
Have you anidea of the number of projects about Bitcoins all around the world ?
itcoin will end, sure, but only after the end of the world.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: ETH not showing in my wallet on: October 18, 2017, 10:21:44 AM
My blockchain.info wallet shows that I received 225 ETH on 16 October 2017. Until today 18 October 2017 my ETH balance is zero. Can someone explain me please what is happening?

ave you received any mail for an Ethereum wallet update
With a link to click ?
With your private key to enter ?

There is a lot of scam with this Ethereum hard fork...
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The secret Swiss mountain bunker where millionaires stash their bitcoins on: October 18, 2017, 10:14:45 AM
Bitcoin is virtual, no needs of a bunker to stock them.
Bitcoins are in the blockchain and everybody can have a copy of this blockchain.
To access of this bitcoin, only a private key is needed.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: October 18, 2017, 10:08:51 AM

What do you like best about bitcoin?
Decentralization, transparency or easier to move?
Or just it makes you look cool? Wink
The best feature of Bitcoin is decentralization.
Decentralization is equal to freedom.
No authority to try to steal my money, just hackers :-).
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in alts in 2018. on: October 18, 2017, 10:01:52 AM
I have 1500 soferox coins and they'd be selling for 0.18$ per coin after the ICO ends (according to them) so that's about 270$ and I'm planing on investing that smaller sum into some alt-coin. Any recommendations? I'm not that much in the alt-coin story so not quite well known with the market. I was thinking of ETH or some bigger coin, but what about the smaller ones?
You ask for altcoin investment ? My advice : ZCoin (XZC).
If your asking was for all cryptocurrencies, my advice should be Bitcoin, of course, but id you specicakky want altcoin, there is only one : ZCoin.
It is the more performing anonymous project in crypto.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold: what exactly are we "mining"? on: October 18, 2017, 08:30:28 AM
With mining, we're verifying transactions when we mine, right?

So, if Bitcoin Gold is new -- exactly what transactions are being made that have to be verified if nobody is making purchases with them?

I'm just trying to get a better understanding of how it works.
BitcoinGold mining will mine transactions blocs, even if these blocs are empty.
This is true for all blockchain mining system.
It is normal if at the begining the blocks are quasi empty, then smaller to store in the blockchain.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]: cpuminer-opt v3.7.0, open source optimized multi-algo CPU miner on: October 18, 2017, 08:24:23 AM
Happy o see the new cpuminer-opt version 3.7.0.
I will test it as soon as possible.
Thank you dev, good job :-)!
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.5.2 (Linux) on: October 18, 2017, 08:17:21 AM
Thanks DSTM for the updated new 0.5.2 version.
Installed this version and I have a good little 0.82 %.
All increase is good, the smallest too :-).
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.5.1 (Linux) on: October 17, 2017, 07:16:59 PM
I had just a try with Komodo and dstm v0.5.1 (Ubuntu 16.04) : DSTM work well.
(The unique problem is mining Komodo is just loosing money)
God job dev :-)
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Byzantium hard fork LIVE on: October 17, 2017, 09:05:53 AM
Has anyone really seen increased mining rewards after Byzantium? Huh
Ethereum team/CEO are allays false/liars. It is not from today but since quasi the begining.
Ethereum PoS ? we are waiting about it since 2 years : the promise was for "end 2015".
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: October 16, 2017, 10:12:37 AM
I'm mining zec on flypool,.. but it looks very down.  https://cryptowat.ch/
Any suggestions for what you guys' are mining?

thx

Currently mining (Nvidia cards) VTC, ZEN, Mona and ZEC

And those who believe in fairy tales are currently mining Zcoin, BitcoinZ and other obscure coins
ZCoin is surely the best coin after Bitcoin.
ZCoin is the unique real anonymous Coin : Monero is good but not so good as ZCoin. ZCash is very poor bad with many technicals issues.
Only marketting and hype made ZCash popular, not the specs.
Learn about ZCoin before writting.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash Nvidia Miner v0.5.1 (Linux) on: October 15, 2017, 04:24:58 PM
The first block of our pool (https://zpool.guru) is found with DSTM  Grin
I just have a test with you pool : with a 200 sol/s miner, no share, O, null.
I stop the test after few minutes.
In the same time, few minutes, with SuprNova, I get a lot od shares.
Why I get 0 share with your pool, smallest than suprnova ?

of course it smaller than suprnova, never join a new or small pool unless its a new coin.

The best pool for ZEC so far is Flypool:
https://www.reddit.com/r/gpumining/comments/729ixq/flypool_is_the_most_profitable_zcash_pool/

Ok, I will try this pool "FlyPool"
But you didn't explain why never join a new or small pool unless it is a new coin ?
I understand the "unless it is a new coin (sometime, there only one new pool for a new coin), but not the rest...
