The transaction was queued and went out immediately.

Is anyone mining a SHA-256 coin on coinex?

Why would you mine anything when you cant withdraw, it sucks to try to get small amounts at a time not knowing if they come or will disappear in queue.
My 64 UNO is queued for a very long time.

Let me suggest a different question:  why would I mine on coinex?

Only a retard would give anything including hash to them as of now.

People are mining DEM, and blocks are being found.  What do they know?

how are we supposed to trade?
You open your wallet and transfer funds when you are ready.

If everyone does this, no one can trade.

Heyo, I have a Problem with 'My Eligius' , when I want to change my Settings and other things, it is saying:

My Eligius Control Panel

No address sent for My Stats page

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX was not found in database.
To use My Stats you must specify your Eligius mining address.

Mining Address: Huh? my Wallet Address Huh?
Store mining address in browser cookie? (as of now broken unless checked)

But none of my Wallet or Trade Addresses are accepted or found? pls help   Huh

You have to point a miner to eligius, using the wallet address as the account.
Then you look at a URL, such as http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/<your bitcoin address here>

If you are seeing a report of mining activity, all should be well.
If not, something needs to be checked.  I do not know if anything shows up before the next block mined after you start the first time.

Well that didn't work...lol

I switched to Eligius about 5 days ago. Brought about 1.2Ths over and as of right now I still have exactly zero BTC to show for it.  I just today got a payment of .25 that is now in 'immature' status and assuming nothing goes wrong will clear.  I just don't get the long drawn out payment system and I think the numbers on the site are a little misleading.  Pulled all my hash and I have five more S1's going online today but I just don't feel comfortable enough to point them here.

In July 2013, when it was state of the art, I pointed my new Avalon to Eligius.  The statistics are public, so my mining pool can see that the hash rate is as they expect and the payouts are honest.  Everything continues to seem ok to me.

The "immature status" means that you have direct payout of new coins.  They do not have any history.  Some people think this is a great advantage.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: May 07, 2014, 02:36:51 PM

Calm down - those things that you call "coins" are just bits on a wallet.dat file - nothing more.  Just bits. They have no value.  It is your greed talking...   CryptoCurrencies are just a gambling game - someone hacked CoinEX, and you lost.  Maybe you will win back again on another "coin".  I don't even know why CoinEx just simply didn't close down their site, like 50BTC.com did.

Maybe we should also put "bounties" on negligent people who leaves their belongings overnight on online exchanges, pools or wallets...

Leaving your wallet full of money on a train station bench, is the equivalent of leaving "coins" on any online service.  Don't blame anybody other than yourself.

The web is full of information about heists on online websites - read and educate yourself: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=576337

How will the exchange operate if no one leaves money there, in limit orders?

...Lakotas have lost their land and still they stand tall. Nothing can break them. Nothing can break our shieldwall...

O Stop the BS, lost their LAND? Who in the world gave them the land? Did they buy it? Did they have a deed? Did the UN give them the land? There was no fucking person there so they were just living there. That's it.

And that didn't happen to ANY OF THOSE LAKOTAs, it happened to 7 generations before them. They are just getting tax free living because of what happened to some ancestors they never have even met.

The Natives were here for a long, long time.  There was no one before to "give them the land."

The Europeans came and invaded.  No one "gave them the land" either, but they came into land the Natives had used for generations.

They signed treaties that did give the Europeans land, in exchange for some rights, such as food to compensate for lost hunting territory.

Then the Europeans did not keep their part of the treaty.

They are a separate Nation, on equal terms with the US government.  They have their own laws.  To complain that they are not paying some US taxes is similar to complaining that Canadians are not paying US taxes.

Sounds like you would be one of those Europeans.

Would reporting them to twitter get their account closed? As they are using it to scam.

And thus make it more difficult for them to raise money and repay us.

It is an orphan block.

I like eligius a lot as a pool, but whatever is causing these DDOS attacks needs to be dealt with properly rather that just fail-safeing the stats page every other day
I agree, please help figure out which government has jurisdiction and rant at them to make an arrest Sad

Seems that DDoS attacks are a problem the whole internet community is harmed by.  Shouldn't routers be able to tell that a spoofed return packet shouldn't be coming from a particular upstream?
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: April 29, 2014, 06:33:14 PM
My concern is that they continue to accept funds.

Deposits should be turned off.  Any other action is irresponsible.

The counter argument is that they will repay from trading fees, and they need to have money in accounts to generate those fees.

I do think they should have made a category of "unavailable funds" and put half of everyone's accounts into that category, to prevent the runners from harming the believers.

277  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: April 29, 2014, 05:32:13 PM
I dropped these numbers into the profitability calculator that I use.

I'd change the difficulty jumps to 15% and you need to increase the power to 2100W

Thanks, Eagle Eye.

I edited the link in my original post, and the quote in this post.

bait and switch.  no redress for damages.  this whole thing stinks to high heaven.  Sooner or later the lawyers will find this one and the other ASIC manufacturers that have acted similarly.  As soon as a legal firm realizes it has multiple cases across these manufacturers with millions in damages each, there's going to be a bloodbath.

We can't have independence from the system if we run to the system.

280  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dogs (and Cats) Can Love on: April 28, 2014, 03:27:57 PM
I read somewhere that cats rarely feel attached to the owner, but rather to the house. Cat goes where the food is and doesn't care who provides it, that's why people who steal cats and have no problems keeping them in their new home.

you've just broke my heart  Cry i wanted to carry on living in my little bubble where my cat actually loves me and not just my house

Go ahead, she won't mind.
