261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Charles Hoskinson and Altcoins on: April 14, 2016, 11:40:15 PM
ive never seen this name b4 - now i hear Charles Hoskinson founded Ethereum and Bitshares and left both Huh
so this guy suddenly shows up here and they all talk about him

is he important by any means ?  hes a cute beardy bear 4 sure!  but looks and talks alone shouldnt matter that much.

~CfA~

He might be important for some corporate folks who are thinking on getting involved in this new blockchain and distributed stuff business, but not for us here.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why * WAVES * = * SCAM attempt * ????? on: April 14, 2016, 09:41:10 PM
...and if he said that then what? Personally I trust more the former NXT guys than that Hoskinson bloke.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the bitmonero/monero Ninjalaunched Cripplemined Fastmine matters on: April 13, 2016, 10:12:19 PM
Monero Ninja Launch:
There were multiple threads started in the wrong place so dev team could benefit before most even knew it had been launched. The Monero ANN thread is not the original ANN thread (true sign of a scam coin) some say the name (Bitmonero) was changed to (monero) cover up the launch issues and association with original acknowledge scam dev.

This part is surely bollocks. I'm not a big monero fan, but BS is BS. I've seen the launch from the very beginning and it was properly communicated, well known event. Everybody who wanted was able to take part.
BTW I still have a wallet what contains a few dozens of moneros what I've mined in the first few days with a doggy dualcore laptop. The emission curve was also subject of a long debate.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Current supply versus total future supply of various coins. on: April 13, 2016, 09:51:00 PM
The Digitial Currency is always be increasing as it is creating by minning and as more and more people mine coins, it will always increase.
Its not like FIAT which require Gold to backup etc

You are dreaming mate Smiley. Fiat doesn't need gold or anything "to backup" since 1971. Those are backed only by government regulations and law (AKA promises) what supposed to guarantee the value of that piece of paper Smiley.

To OP:

You can find the max supply for coins on coingecko. Click on the coin and then you will get a detailed information page.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you investing in other Crytocurrency? on: April 13, 2016, 09:36:41 PM
I'm not "investing" in alts. I'm gambling with those Smiley. Many people here doesn't seem to realize that 90% of the alts have no real value apart from some immaginary value established by the miners, traders and fanclubs. The remaining 10% have some value, because of traditions, inventions/usefulness and very rarely because of real word exposure. If you "investing" money in something can be considered as "game chips" in hopes of making a profit that's exactly like playing in a casino. "Invest" accordingly Wink.
266  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama says Trump, Cruz doing Democrats a 'favor' on: April 09, 2016, 10:10:57 PM
I think that Obama is right.
I think that before Republican party had much better and more qualified candidates like Romney or McCain.
This year it seems all republican candidates are very radical in their view and because of this republican party is divided now.
If, until Republican convention this year, no candidate will have enough delegates, we may see bloody war and a dirty political game for gaining support for the party nomination for presidential election.
This will help a lot democratic candidate to win Presidential election, no doubt about it.

Maybe he's right, but maybe this it the same "more cheap coins" or "buy it until cheap" aproach what we used to see in trollboxes from bagholders Wink.
267  Other / Politics & Society / Re: America can afford a universal basic income on: April 09, 2016, 09:55:12 PM
Unemployment is really not too avoidable. In some cases it'll happen to you no matter how hard you work, so let's also keep that in mind.

The New Deal (1933-38) in the States is a good example for state sponsored infrastructure projects what used public work, in the same time in Germany they did the same to get things back on track. Unemployment must be avoided in the future. Many jobs out there today can be done faster an better by machines in the near future. According to some forecasts in a few decades only 15-20%ot the currently needed jobs will be still available for humans, everything else going to be automated. But 80-85% unemployment would kill not just the economy but the society as well, so most of these people must be employed in some sort of real or Mickey mouse jobs, just to keep things going.
268  Other / Politics & Society / Re: America can afford a universal basic income on: April 09, 2016, 07:39:10 PM
This may seem stupid but I do not see other ideas other than letting people die from lack of medication, food or shelter. One thing to be cold hearted on the internet but another in actual practice.
More people will be working part time as full time will become to costly due to benefits. Then people will be forced to fight over these part time jobs, grinding worker value down even more. The numbers are manipulated currently through part time job creation.
So we can pretend that we will be protected from this through education or money but that is short term. As more people join the rank , the more disruptive society will become.
If it is not the answer, what is?

Community work paid by the state is an other option and in that case the state can get lots of things done with some relative cheap workforce, plus otherwise unemployed people will not get unused to the idea of working.
269  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism Is Jewish Usury on: April 09, 2016, 07:29:26 PM
I agree with usury being a problem, but you cannot seriously blame everything on Jews...  Christians invented banking...  the first bank was the Knights Templar
...
Scapegoat much?

Actually babylonians invented the first forms of banking, then egyptians, greeks and romans further developed the idea. Roman banks were pretty much similar to modern banks. In India and China they also developed banks with similar functionality in the ancient times. The lombard banking houses just revitalized an ancient practice.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you signed up on the LISK site and received FREE Lisk. You were scammed. on: April 07, 2016, 09:48:24 PM
That's currently working on the testnet. ...as it's still clearly stated on both the getting started and the faucet page.
271  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What you need to know about the Panama Papers on: April 04, 2016, 10:18:19 PM
This is much bigger and more wide ranging. Itīll be extremely difficult to defraud this off the table. Millions of documents. Itīs bribes, tax evasion, criminality.

I agree with bryant. Maybe there will be some show trials for the small fry but the really big fish bought up the court systems, press and politicians across the globe long time ago. They are out of reach for the everyday man of mould :/.
272  Economy / Speculation / Re: To those saying Ethereum will soon pass BTC in terms of market cap on: April 04, 2016, 10:03:28 PM
Eth is deflating

Yep! It slowly going down and I'm expecting some correction after such a big rise in price.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: April 04, 2016, 10:01:45 PM
Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd expect a correction as after such a sharp rise that used to happen. Otherwise the coin itself has a good potential.
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you waiting for Halving??? on: April 04, 2016, 09:48:38 PM
I have ambivalent feelings. On one hand I'm waiting for it, as it will stirr up the market and it will be great fun, on the other hand I believe it will cause further centralization in mining.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LISK price speculation on: April 03, 2016, 06:01:42 PM
What is the price of Lisk now

Price of lisk now is about 18000 Satoshi

But i am selling 1000 lisk at 10000 Satoshi.

I need the money.

If you are interested PM me.

If something sounds too good to be true it probably is. So if someone want to go for this offer I'd suggest caution and using a trusted escrow.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves: Worth investing? on: April 03, 2016, 05:35:38 PM
Hey guys,

I was thinking of investing in Waves, but I'm a little concerned about the timeline.
They are planning to launch in summer 2016, which is after the Block Halving.

Do you think it's worth investing, considering that the Blocks are about to be halved?

Thanks

The devs (mostly NXT crew) are experienced guys and they delivered interesting stuff in the past, so I think the coin itself will be fine. What they failed to deliver in the past was the meaningful marketing, but now they said that will be all right.
Block halving is an interesting question as according to many that already priced, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some significant hype and maybe the start of a new bubble around this July.

Probably you can't expect massive ETH like profits, but personally I think a Waves investment will be somewhat profitable in the future... if they will really do some good marketing.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LIST] KNOWN pumpers and Scammers on this board. Check for updates regualarly on: March 31, 2016, 12:59:35 PM
Be 100% clear on what fud is. Fud is not presenting facts.

Make your own fudder post. However come with some facts.

Be clear what a fudder is and provide examples of how they fud (what is fud) and add the names. Be sure to prove they have bought in and benefited from buying in at a fudded down price.

If you have some factual grounds to stand on that will stand up to investigation.... Go for it.

For example your quite biased "opinion polls" where you don't give an opportunity to disagree with your opinion without looking like a really ugly greedy pig are good examples Smiley.

You know, sometimes it's difficult to find out what is fud, what is pump, and what's the truth behind the big pile of BS what people keep  pouring here. E.g. I think the monero & co guys are right about DASH but they are just fuckin' annoying with their constant croaking about how flawed DASH is and how cool their coins are. The Rimbit and Leocoin guys are probably right when they saying that everybody can make a few bucks with their stuff, but they are also very annoying with their scammy hurray-optimistic crap.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crowdsales -- how to find them on: March 31, 2016, 12:31:49 PM
I missed the Lisk and Digix crowdsales.  Is there a good way to find out about crowdsales before they're over?

Reading the Announcement board is the best what you can do. Look for new coins every few days and you can find out which coin will have a crowdsale and if it's worth to go for it.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LIST] KNOWN pumpers and Scammers on this board. Check for updates regualarly on: March 31, 2016, 12:28:09 PM
OK... but what about known FUDers Smiley? That's also a form of manipulating the price of a coin and used to be part of of a later pump (pushing down prices to obtain cheaper coins prior the pump).
280  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is science a religion? on: March 31, 2016, 12:23:51 PM
Science is not a religion in any view of every person. Science believe everything it see, hear, touches, and feels while in religion(I am not an atheist) they believe in a God that they cannot see, hear, touch, and feel while they are alive in this planet.

Not exactly true. A lot of scientific "facts" are theories based on deduction first and then generalization, but as these theories are the best working explanations currently, so everybody accepting those as facts, however no one ever seen, heard, touched or felt those things. Some of these things are not even measurable or observable just derivations from some statistical data. And this is the pure science. If you take a look at economy, philosophy, psychology, sociology, politology and such science branches you are arrived to the realm of religion Smiley.
