Its the one you were asked to create first time you opened the wallet

If you dont know it, and didnt write it down, then you have lost the coins

I have a wallet version v1.7.2.0 and it does not sync!
WTF  Huh Huh Huh

Hi, the wallets are completely CRAP to sync.
So long as you have connections and a it says synchronisubg, it will eventually.....sometimes it takes me days to sync, even if i have only been offline for a week or two....it is something they have never fixed (its exactly the same regardless of OS too, cos i've tried em all)

How far behind are you?

Hi Deff,
How's things?

I have finally managed to mine a few coins, about 200...but the never appear in the "stake" part of the wallet only ever as "Balance"
Is there something i need to do to stake them?

J

Hi! minerja

Are the coins ripe? After full confirmation -

nStakeMinAge =  60 * 60 * 24 * 7;  // minimum age for coin age - 7 days
nStakeMaxAge = 60 * 60 * 24 * 30; // stake age of full weight   - 30 days

Argh !
My newest wallet...no, only mined since 1st March
Older wallet been there since 21st Jan 2020, so over 30 days old, but still never staked....

I have tried the 2 block chains and merged them as per the github, i have deleted everything and started from scratch, always stops at same block approx 43 weeks ago.

Dont bother trying to stake this coin.
I have "staked" 1000 coins for over a month now, and got ZERO returns...completely pointless.
Unlike normal staking where you simply fget a fixed percentage, you have to "WIN" a block to get a share, and unless you have 1000's of coins , no chance.
You may have more luck in the various "staking pools" who knows

You realize that your 1000 coins staking are against nearly 50 million coins other may stake.
It's just like mining, where if you have a low hash power you have less chance to mine a block. Hence why people are using pools instead of solo mining.

I have personally seen VRSC stakes with less than 5 coins. Of course that won't happen daily or even monthly.

If individuals have more than 50 million coins, then this coin isnt even worth mining....
It cost roughly $350-450 a week to mine 10,000 coins or about $800
So to mine 50,000,000 coins, would cost around $1,750,000 and take 35,000 weeks, or 675 years.

I have only ever seen the official block explorer, so i have no idea what the top 100 balances are, perhaps you could post a link please.
Also, using Verus wallet 6.4, with my 1000 coins in theory i should get 0.4 VRSC a day ($0.04), or 146VRSC a year ($13.25), but that means someone holding 50,000,000 VRSC would in theory stake 17.28k VRSC a day ($1.56k USD) or 6.31M VRSC ($570.44k USD).
Now i'm pretty sure that no one is earning those kind of figures, therefore, i stand by my original comment. At the moment i think it is pointless staking (unless you have spend $1000's on mining and have a MASSIVE balance)
I'd be interested to see what stake value they got for 5 coins...
Like i say my 1000 coins has netted ZERO in 1 month....perhaps i have just been really unlucky....but if its not making money why bother doing it?Huh

272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2019 and CPU Mining Guides [UPDATED!] on: February 15, 2020, 08:30:04 AM
Can forging by MetaGate be considered as CPU mining?

Ofcourse, I'm mining with Metagather for 2 months and
I've already made more than 1000 coins. The good thing is that it runs on anything and uses 5-6% CPU max.

Would you mind checking my figures.

You've just said, you made 1000+ coins in 2 months BUT according to https://cex.io/mhc-btc those coins are worth 0.00000042 x 1000 = 0.00042 BTC
So basically for 2 months mining you have made $4, but wait a minute, you get 1000 coins for signing up....so you made 0 coins?
Seems not very worth while to me

Electra will move from 10 to 9 decimals.
Orderbook must be clean to make this change, so if you have orders there, be sure to put them again once done Smiley

I have a question regarding this, why is this being done? does it have a benefit for the project?

Never been to that exchange, BUT, if ECA was @ 10 decimals and is now going to 9, then basically the minimum price just went up 10 times, so that would generally be good for sellers

oh well, there's always gotta be one.....

Just got the chain moving again, got the diff down to 0.96 with 9mh/s, nicely mining away, and BOOM....another miner drops in and hits it with 8GH/s.
Awesome! Zero value coin, which could have been mined by virtually anyone, even with a cpu, and not hashate 8GH/s and diff 374....crazy thing is, as soon as they relasie its worthless, they bail, leaving diff so high it will take days to lower again....
Why oh why can't miners look at hashrate and diff before they start mining....you know you can use just 1 card in your rig, infact you could easily mine 6 different coins with a 6 x 1080ti rig....

Rant over

Guys,

Which exact version of the wallet are you all using please?
Any one have links to the Linux version?

Thanks
J

https://github.com/presstab/ultracoin-2

Is the only source left. the link can be found on the first page of this ANN.

There was a linux gpu miner source code there, a link to a Mega file, but the file isn't there anymore.

The version of the windows wallet for download is 1.0.0.0

Hi, thanks
Tried it, it doesn't compile...riddled with errors

Hi,
Been using Version : v_6.1.1.35, all synced no issues, until a few hours ago, now ZERO connections
Upgraded to Version : v_6.1.1.36, and same, ZERO connections

Has something Happened?

J

When testing the protocol, I saw two vulnerabilities, and the block chain explorer went into defense, I'm preparing a modified version.

Thank you
