So is anyone ever going to address how Bitcoin Cash is allowed to use the Bitcoin logo? Isn't it trademarked by the old Bitcoin Foundation or something?
I believe most of the trademarking early on was done by MtGox and possibly bitcoin.com Theoretically, if I recall from 2011-2012, they opened it up for public use. |

Taxation is not theft if country investment money in the right places,example schools or national defense,to make economy and country stronger.But we have many states especially in Africa where governments put money from taxation in you buckets and make our citizens poorly.

It is hard to opt-out from society, you'll be using public property and services everywhere you go, some people will want a free ride, but if they are using public property and services why souldn't they pay?

I did have a theory on something that could push the price up a lot over time.
There was something like 600k bitcoins stolen from MtGox which apparently was flowing through btc-e being sold off over the years. btc-e has always had a lower price which may have kept the price low over the years. Now that the admins are on the run and they do not have btc-e to sell their coins they have stopped that flow of large amounts of bitcoins onto the market. Without this downward pressure, who knows how high the price will go.

This is really sick. Are you from Saudi Arabia? You can't make up for a rape by taking out the victim to a dinner later. Sex without consent is rape, and it must be punishable with the death penalty in addition to torture. He was obviously illustrating how taxation is criminal and not actually condoning rape... He's saying that taxation without consent is the same as rape and can not be justified by good actions later on. In that case, I need to apologize to Elwar. But even if that is true, taxation with consent can't be practiced in real life. If paying taxes is purely voluntary, then how many of us would honestly pay their taxes? And it is not fair to have a small section of the society paying their taxes and another larger group refusing to do it. The question was not how well things work. The question was "Is taxation theft?" Your response that taxation is not with consent would lead to the reality that taxation is theft. |

I am glad that there are so many people here on my side.
This weekend I went and robbed some old lady's house (she didn't even lock the door! ha!), but not to worry. I donated some of the money to charity after I went and bought some burgers for myself and I did not take all of her money so it was only a percentage.
Because the money was put to a good cause then it was not theft.
Thank you everyone for re-affirming the fact that I am not a thief.
I doubt the old lady would have donated her money to charity, which I believe is her duty. She should not get to decide on her own.
It is good to know that the action of taking her money without her consent can be deemed ok as long as another action later on negates that action.
Like if I kill someone but later I do a good deed...I did not commit murder.
I believe I will live the rest of my life on this philosophy. Do bad....but do good later to even things out.

The sad thing is that it might be easier for me to get my namecoins from BTC-e from the government than it is getting past their verification process due to a frozen account. After sending a copy of my passport and 3 months of bank statements they rejected it saying they needed a notarized ID scan from a third party, 3 months of proof of salary, utility bill, bank statements (all notarized) etc.
In other words, they want to keep all of my coins and no amount of verification will suffice.
How many coins are we talking about buddy? I hope a large majority of your HODLING'S aren't on there. This shit always seems to happen when we are in a good moment price rise. I hope we don't end up with an epic dump Gox style. I had 21,000 NMC on there. Never bothered to create a wallet because they weren't worth much. Until they were. And I couldn't get them off the site. |
