2621  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Alt coins are About to pump again! on: July 23, 2022, 05:15:04 PM
It is common for alt coins to go up when the price of bitcoin goes up, from what I have seen in my experience the price of alt coins always fluctuates higher than the price of bitcoin. If the price of Bitcoin starts to rise in a few days then we can see a massive pump in the alt coins as well. However, the current uptrend may not last long.

Which is why you don't call this a pump but just a mere retracement as that's what is happening with the altcoins you're seeing.  Majority (if not all) are traded with Bitcoin pairs therefore they're likely to record some increase in value when the value of Bitcoin raises as well. The op made this post in June and what have happened since them isn't much of a pump and as for coin like Ethereum that have recorded some significant gains, they have that linked with the news of the merge around the corner.

Altcoins are unlikely to pump significantly until Bitcoin has crossed its previous high and when that happens then the fomo will begin again as the market is just a cycle of bulls and bear market. For now your focus should be in accumulating Bitcoin as we might unlikely see this low again after the next bull cycle take the price to the range of hundreds of thousands.
2622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right time to invest on: July 23, 2022, 05:04:56 PM
As a newbie one finds it difficult to know the right time to invest. I really want to know if I can actually invest into Bitcoin at this moment.

One of the mistakes many new investors make is trying to time the buttom of the market to enter. As an investor you should know that your aren't trading therefore you shouldn't be trying to catch the low in an attempt to sell high in the near future, that's not investing. Investing typically has to do with buying and waiting therefore it doesn't matter what your entering price is, just buy and wait.

There's no right time to invest or one might say, the best time to invest was in 2009 when Bitcoin was launched and the next best time to buy is now. In the long run, those who invested today would be in profit so why bother what the price is now. Bitcoin isn't like fiat or gold that new supply can come into the market at anytime. We have a limited supply of Bitcoin so if the demand stays constant or increase, definitely the price won't be the same as it's today.
2623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for newbie to long-term investing on: July 23, 2022, 04:52:13 PM
That's the thing I'm struggling with, I actually want to put in more money. But I just can't afford to, I want to maximize on the buying opportunities but I know that's the FOMO creeping in, and I'll just have to stay patient.

You just have to continue been patient, don't think the dip is over yet. Based on pass record we might even have another one year to be accumulating as the market will continue been traded sideways. For now just increase whatever activities you're doing to get funds so you have enough funds to dollars cost average into the market without listing to whatever the so called professional will be predicting.

Don't forget, many of them all predicted the top to be around $100k but we didn't achieve that while some where just been too optimistic or trying to manipulation the market so their personal price target be meant. As for the tip, don't go all in at ones even though you're investing for the long term. Just keep budling your portfolio.

Transfer rumours:

Chelsea have beaten off competition from Barcelona to sign Sevilla and France centre-back Jules Kounde and will offer the 23-year-old a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge. So another great deal for Chelsea and another failure for Barcelona.

Should this be consider a failure for Barcelona, I don't think Barcelona even put in a bid for Kounde, everything was just rumors, they should have known that this is outside their reach unlike Raphinha that they have already agreed personal terms with before the Chelsea attempt to hijack him. Also Chelsea signing Kounde would favor Barcelona as they can pursue Chelsea defender César Azpilicueta which Kounde should be replying easily.

What's surprising me is the rate at which Barcelona is very active in this transfer market irrespective of all the news of the clubs been broke and can't even pay their players. Well I can't just wait for the Kounde announcement to be made so we can move on to sign other aspects of the team that needs better players like our attack force.
2627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If There's No Casino Signature Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same on: July 23, 2022, 12:23:58 PM
If There are No Casino Signature campaigns Anymore Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same will we have the same stats as we are seeing right now

Signature campaigns does have its role it plays in the contribution to the activeness of the gambling board and forum in general. Thankfully everyone is been realistic here as the comments are in support of the campaign been among the major reason why the board is very active. If casino focus campaigns stop coming, we'll have a reduction in the board activity but the board won't go attended to. We have users that engage on the board even when their campaign don't mandate it.

One positivity thing we could get from this turn out of event is that less spam will be recorded on the gambling boards as spammers won't have to make posts on the boards since there isn't anybody paying them to do that.

Leaving What Mane has won also let's not forget a female also got to win an award.
The Barcelona attacker won the CAF Player of the year Oshoala of Nigeria.
She has been outstanding no cap, she gives it her best every year.

You know why many aren't taking about her, it's now like a norm. She has won that award like 5 or 6 times now with back to back wins. The women football scene is heavily dominated by Nigeria and the player of the year award has been dominated by them too. The awards started in 2001 and Nigeria has won it for a record of 12 times. We also have 4 different Nigerian players win the awards back to back.

With this kind of domination it's hard for people to talk about them when they win things. Take Manchester city as an example, when they win the league we see it as a norm but if another club was to win it'll be talked about and praises given to the guys that made that possible. Nevertheless a big congratulations to Oshoala again.

Does this sound ambitious or a star player ego? but there is no denying that when you see him on the pitch, one side will see him playing for himself but on the other hand, he can inspire teamwork. I know this will be difficult for some to accept, as the club disinterest in Ronaldo is becoming clearer now, but at least it can give him time to reconsider at Manchester United. Lower ambition and ego then learn a lot for the end of his career.

Irrespective of all I have said, I'm still a big fan of his. What he does on the pitch can't be matched by others. Just that some individual are born talented naturally while others have to work their way to the top which Ronaldo is one of this people. I'll consider his ambitious instead of star player ego. Ronaldo has always been in competition from his early days so that's the best way he knows how to prove himself to the world. He has scarified so much to end his career the way it's heading now.

He's been the laughing object of the transfer market now but I believe the story would be different if he finally gets a move to a champion league side. Ronaldo working with the right minded players is a cheat code as they're always likely to win. Imagine Ronaldo been in a Manchester City like squad that all he has to do is finished the passed sent across to him.

In the final shortlist for 2022 African Men's Player of the Year, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Edouard Mendy were all named. A second time, Sadio Mane has been named African player of the year in 2022. Congratulations to Sadio Mané. It's totally deserved, since he played a major role in Senegal qualifying for the World Cup and winning the AFCON 2022. In the World Cup, I pray that he has a wonderful outing. There is no other player who is more deserving of this award than him. I congratulate you on being the Coolest King on the West Coast.

Maybe you're forgetting Edouard Mendy was also nominated so you can't say no other player deserve it more than him. Edouard Mendy has been in many finals in the last two years, won Individual awards for his contributions as a goal keeper. Lets not also forget he won last champions league trophy (season before this just concluded season).I'm just happy for Mane winning though because that guy has been disrespect alot recently at Liverpool. No matter what he does it seems he isn't be appreciated enough which is why I'm glad he isn't receiving this award as a Liverpool player.

This is the beginning of a new era for Sadio Mane. He would be winning many individual trophy now that he isn't under the shadow of Mo Salah. If he does well at the world cup, Senegal retain their title with huge contributions from him and Bayern Munich does what they knew how to do best at their league level (which is winning) couple with them winning the champions league then we might begin to have the ballon d'or debate for him.

2633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 22, 2022, 04:30:28 AM
I really believe that if Ronaldo returns to Spain he will still be a productive striker. He's physically strong and he can score goals for every team he plays for, we've seen that at Juventus and Manchester United even though he's not young anymore. So far I have no doubts about Ronaldo's quality even though I'm not a fan of every team he plays for.

I guess the reason many clubs are rejecting Ronaldo is because of his influence in a team. When Ronaldo is playing others play for him. Manchester united weren't as bad as they were last season compared to other season that Ronaldo wasn't present. Ronaldo hardly plays for the team instead he plays for himself as he wants to win more individual trophy and set more individual records knowing his time in the game is now limited.

Ronaldo isn't after the money currently as he could have easily gotten that by playing for China or the Saudi Arabia club that was coming for him but he still want to compete. So unless Ronaldo can learn to be a team player in that everyone benefits from him like Messi, chances are top European clubs won't be interested in him.
2634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 22, 2022, 04:14:21 AM
I think the better approach is that instead of complete prohibition, strict regulations must be implemented in order to protect gamblers, who are addicted,

I guess the reason behind the bans is because it's hard to regulate the industry in preventing addicts from taking advantage of the gambling. How do you know a gambler is an addict when someone can basically sit at the comfort of there house nowadays to play bets online without having to go to physical casino as in the old days. A caring government knows that gambling does no good to the economy of their state.

It's unhealthy when your citizens are addicts, hardly will that country be productive and be moving forward so to prevent that from been the norm, countries are resulting in banning the activity as that can only be the solution. Assuming there was a means in which gambling doesn't get ban but can be controlled to prevent addicts form taking advantage of it then it'll be done.
2635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 22, 2022, 03:55:35 AM
Why will I risky loses because I think I am gambling for fun. Well there are notable people who just gamble not for the money initially but for the fun they get in it and along side they do make good amount of money along side with there pleasurable gambling.

Do understand that money isn't a problem for some people. While you worship money and always want to earn it. There are individual would enjoy wasting the money because the have it in excess and don't value it. This individual hardly have fun as those around them tend to fake it so it's usually them seeking for satisfaction in other activities which gambling is always be their favorite as it produced a chemical that bring excitement.

Gambling produce dopamine which is responsible for bringing excitement and some individual get this from both winning or losing their bet as such they tend to turn to gambling as a means of entertainment instead of actually engaging in other activities that regular individual do to bring about excitement like watching of sports etc.

Chelsea also hopes that Kounde will soon be able to go with them on their preseason tour of the United States, where he will join another defensive addition Kalidou Koulibaly, who just completed a £34 million transfer from Napoli.

Chelsea having a backline of Koulibaly, Tiago Silver and Kounde would be interesting to watch as the outcome of this combination at the end of the season should be perfect. That defense would probably be an upgrade to that of Rudiger when he was a Chelsea player, although he was brilliant but his faws were begining to surface as a result of so many poor game we had with him in the back three defense. The goodnews is that Chilwell is fit again and ready to disturbance the opponent.

The absence of James and Chilwell limited our attack last season as prior to their injuries we were relying heavily on them for their assists and goal contributions. This season they'll be assisted by the defenders I listed above. I don't think Chelsea would be behind this season. Either we lift the trophy or be among the top 4 clubs as usual..
2637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 21, 2022, 10:34:10 PM
I don't think that any real gambler can be distracted by playing for fake money, but I know that a lot of people (including me) play stupid incremental games.

This solution will only favor those that are gambling because of the pleasure and not financial assistance. The users that's gambling just for entertainment won't be bothered whether he's using fake or real money but that user that's gambling because his livelihood depends on it for daily bread won't be interested as this won't favor him in the long run. Unfortunately many gamblers are in because they need financial assistance instead of the fun of the exercise.

Gamblers are mostly addicted to the financial assistance that comes from Gambling so until that is been eliminated majority of the solution to gambling addiction will be unprogressive. There's a minority of gambling that gamble just because of entertainment (fun of gambling) so any solution that satisfied that addictive won't have much impact in the addictions sector of gambling.
2638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 21, 2022, 04:34:21 AM
Chelsea finally showed its seriousness this time in the transfer market, namely to get a player from sevilla, namely Jules Kounde. even now chelsea has raised its offer. But what's interesting is that Barcelona also wants Jules Kounde.

Xavier Hernández and the Barcelona's boards know what they're doing, I'm beginning to feel they have personal issues with Chelsea because I don't understand how you'll take almost all defenders of a club and still be going after their transfer target. From the start of the transfer market, rumors had it that Barcelona were interested in César Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso after they secured the signing of our previous defender, Andreas Christensen.

I thought Barcelona were broke, how come they have the funds to go after all this big money signings. They should be investigated as it's unclear to the general public. As for them (Barcelona) getting Jules Kounde, that's impossible as Kounde has always been a Chelsea favorite and  has already agreed personal terms. All that's left is an official announcement as Sevilla are happy with Chelsea recent offer .
2639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 20, 2022, 03:59:04 PM
In other news - Chelsea is close to signing Kounde. The fee is expected to be over 50 mil. euros - but he looks like a player that will fit well into their team and their playstyle and is a player I like for quite some time.

One thing about this transfer window is that, the hijacking of transfer targets are becoming a norm. Again Barcelona are trying to hijack this transfer target but maybe they won't be as successful as they were with Raphinha. Kounde has been a Chelsea target for over two seasons now. I thought he would had signed for Chelsea last season or be our first signing under the new management but it didn't happen.

Hopefully Chelsea can sorts things out very soon as it was said that the first Chelsea bid for Jules Kounde was rejected by Sevilla for about €55m plus add ons. Todd Boehly would be putting in another bid in the coming days but that isn't stopping Barcelona from trying to hijack this target as it has been reported of Xavi been in contact with Kounde.

Who do you think it the most deserving for the CAF  African Player of the Year

This is the final shortlist so Vincent Aboubakar doesn't deserve to be there more than the names on the list. People you seen there are frequent names that have been representing African nation both on home soil and away in international league. All three players reach the finals which was as a result of them been solid for their nations. The final list is always a three man shortlist and there's no way you could have substituted any for Vincent.

For the winner I think Edouard Mendy deserve it more, he has the recent Champions league title to his name among the three shortlisted and also has the AFCON trophy which he was the main reason behind their wins. His saves were out of this world both in his champions league winning season and AFCON. Mane was the last winner and he wasn't that impactive just like his former team meta Mo Salah. Also I think we have to give goal keepers more credit and recognition.
