1783  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Investors will lose crypto assets in coming years – SFS Capital CEO on: January 21, 2023, 05:05:14 PM
I consider cryptocurrencies to be under-regulated, not unregulated because the government are trying ways cryptocurrencies can be regulated.
i think i also consider cryptocurrency to be unregulated because there are no laws or rules that govern the use and trading of cryptocurrency, and transactions may not be subject to oversight or reporting requirements. i can possibly create 10 altcoins without going through any regulatory process, put in the market, scam investors and move because there are little or no regulatory put in place to prevent a random/individual creating a coin.

We shoudn't be bothered about this, it's a free world over here and not an industry that was meant to be regulated. It was because of the regulations and centralized nature of the fiat system that this industry was created in the first place so what good does it bring if that purpose is destroyed by introducing centralization into the industry through regulations. The scams are all part of the system. Both the real world and this world experience same scams. Here security is placed in the hands of the user and not a centralized body therefore you're responsible for whatever outcome that results from your decision.

We have to be able to protect ourselves from the scams all over the web, they aren't that hard to locate. Coins like Luna and FTX that crashed had clear signs of them going down the same path form their creation bit lack of research made many investors to trust this project with their funds. These aren't the only altcoins that were created with flaws from the begining but our greediness won't allow us to see through this project. We just have to research more and not blaming the scammers.

Rumors surrounding the three Chelsea players being wanted by Newcastle United have been circulating and it is likely that Chelsea will let them go considering Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Connor Gallagher and Hakim Ziyech do not appear to be Graham Potter's first choice in the Chelsea squad.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Hakim Ziyech I'll let go any day, any time but for Connor Gallagher that boy is still young to let go off. The management should be wise at their decision making before they make another Mo Salah and Kevin De Bruyne kind of mistakes by letting Gallagher leave the club. He can be used as a perfect replacement for Mason Mount as substitute, Mount shoudn't be getting all the privileges he's getting at the club as that's getting into his head and now he thinks he's a big shot. I still think he's yet to prolong his contract all because he feels he's that important to the club.

There are many dead wood in the squad that can be sold but Connor Gallagher isn't one of them. He's still a youngster and has alot of years ahead to develop into a top player. We saw how important he was to crystal palace last season even winning their player of the season. Graham Potter should give him another chance and Connor Gallagher will prove himself worthy.
1785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 21, 2023, 08:04:29 AM
If Haaland was still in Dortmund, then I think Dortmund would be the favourites. I like Chelsea to reach the quarter-finals, but Dortmund for whatever reason will definitely try to give their best to win it. I just don't want to say Chelsea are better, but they are an experienced team in the Champions League.

Please even with Haaland at the club they still won't have been the favorite. Haaland with all the talents at Manchester city that he has at his service can't still perform against Chelsea. I'm not talking about the team entirely but just the individual performance by Haaland. For Manchester city to even destroy us they had to bench Haaland. A typical number 9 is easier to defend against then a false 9. Last year tournament Chelsea were right there up to the round of 16 but we're eliminated by the team that went on to win the tournament which we still defeated at the second leg.

Chelsea are definitely a force at the champions League level, we have been making name for ourselves recently and that have earn up two trophies. It mightn't be much in numbers but when it comes to the champion league, that's definitely a big flex. What has Dortmund gotten, they're a small club and one who Chelsea doesn't have to stress themselves against to win them.
1786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 21, 2023, 07:28:50 AM
For instance is with what happened after the sack of Thomas Tuchel and the take over of Potter, we all saw a change in their performance way up to about six or more matches they played, but this same players were same players in there playing rubbish which led to the sacking of Tuchel.

Your argument just proves my point more, these were the same players playing rubbish under Thomas Tuchel that resulted in his sacking. Now the new manager came in and because the atmosphere at the club has changed, the players decided to put in some effort so as  to impress the new coach and that's why it seems like we got regenerated under Graham Potter but since the players are now familiarized what the him and eqen a starting lineup or playing time for theme it seems they're no longer putting in extra efforts.

The only player I still see trying his best in the team is Gallagher and this might just be because of his playing pattern of aggressive tackling. Mason mount that was trying his best to impress the coach has now dropped form since he has an assurance of playing every week. If same players can be this awful with two different managers then the managers aren't the problems but the players are and getting rid of them is the only solution.  We just signed a new winger, and majority of recent signings can play at those role too so we getting rid of Sterling, Pulisic and Ziyech won't be a bad idea.
1787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: African Nations championship on: January 21, 2023, 07:18:09 AM
Mean while, we've got Congo Vs Niger game going on in the CAF and as it is, the game is still barren. Although, the Congolese forward with the number 9 Jersey Bassinga came quite close with a goal but, it was ruled out to be offside by few inches. Personally, I think that should have been given.

No it was a clear offside as the highlight shows that clearly. Although congo was very dominate in the game but I'm surprised they didn't win the game considering they have more upper hand since they were favorite to defeat Niger. At the end of the game both nations shared equal points. This drop in points means congo now seat third in group haven't lost three points to the Senegalese side earlier. The other game for yesterday also ended goalless draw as both Mauritania and Angola shared a point each.

Libya plays Ethiopia today what's your prediction for this match, both side haven't been in form as it seems they haven't been consistent in their play, so are we looking at another draw game today? I think as much as I see no way either of the nations could defeat the other. I still think we could see goals in the match so I'll go with a 1:1 prediction or probably Ethiopia winning since they have previously drew their last game while Libya lost.
1788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 20, 2023, 03:23:28 PM
Liverpool vs Chelsea match will start tomorrow in Premier League. I am looking forward to watching the match because both teams have performed very well in previous matches. I am very worried about which team will win tomorrow between Liverpool and Chelsea.  I can't guess which team will win tomorrow. I wanted to bet on this match but I don't know which team will win tomorrow so I'm very worried.

The last five games between this two clubs in all competition has seen Liverpool winning twice while Chelsea winning ones and the rest draws, that means there's every possible of this game ending in draw as well. The other two that Liverpool won were penalty kick out after the game ended in a draw at full time. So that doesn't tell the full story as both teams are at equilibrium and currently on very bad form.

I can't see Liverpool comfortably winning Chelsea neither can I see Chelsea doing the same to Liverpool. Liverpool might only have a small advantage since it's their home stadium just as Chelsea would have had the same advantage if it was Stamford bridge the match was taking place at. The last game ended 2-2, I go for a Chelsea win or still another draw.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 20, 2023, 02:41:30 PM
This is pushing me to think like Dortmund will resist in the first leg but we might be likely to see a draw and see both teams scoring. But in Stamford Bridge Chelsea can finish the deal by a decent win. I still don't expect a big score gap there also considering Chelsea's current condition. I just expect them to eliminate Dortmund anyway especially when we think of what they did to Milan in the group stage. I see Dortmund and Milan being at similar levels in the Champions League recently.

The way I see how the match is going to play at, I think Chelsea will likely win at Dortmund home while Dortmund will try to get a draw at least but that won't be possible. Chelsea has the highest chance of winning at the Stanford bridge because they are going to be playing in front of their fans and they won't want to disappoint them. People thinking Chelsea is going to be terrible has to realized that this isn't the premier League, this is the Champions League so things might likely play at differently.

The bookmarkers don't always get their prediction right and don't forget that something they might be doing this kind of rating on purpose to attract betters. They on purpose give out bad rating to the favorite team, for instance, the game between Liverpool and Real Madrid is having Liverpool as the favorite when we all know, Real Madrid are by far superior.
1790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 20, 2023, 02:06:09 PM
Although Chelsea already buy 5 players during this winter but apparently Chelsea hasn't stopped to buy more players and it's officially that Chelsea very near reach to agreement to gets PSV youngster Noni Madueke and it say Chelsea have to spend not less than 35 millions euro but it wasn't mentioned contract duration for him but i assume Madueke will gets long term duration contract considering he still 20 years old and Madueke can be played as right winger or striker but it won't be easy for him to gets one place on starting line up considering Chelsea already have plenty of forward players such as Joao Felix or Sterling

I think Chelsea are looking for a way to let go of sterling, ziyech etc all in this January transfer window and many more players are to go by the end of the Summer. I think players like Pulisic will be among and if all this were to come to past then you'll see the need of us getting as much players in as we're doing. Chelsea current players are underperforming and that's not good for business so the American businessman is just trying to save his business while he still can.

Noni Madueke is already a Chelsea player as he has undergone medicals and all other negotiations has been completed. He's also going to get a longer contract, I think Todd Boehly is doing all this so he has longer time to pay for the transfer in installments and avoid the financial fair play rules because if he was to make all this transfer in full payment, I don't think we would be able to sign players in the next window just as we suffered during the Lampard management era.

Tweet from Fabrizio Romano: Besiktas are now set to complete the signing of Vincent Aboubakar from Al Nassr, confirmed and here we go.

Contract will be valid until June 2025 as agreed two weeks ago — he will replace Weghorst who joined Man Utd.
Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1616144719968636929

Quite some Interesting development in this transfer. We all know the Cameroonian strikers contract got terminated after Ronaldo move to his former club Al Nassr. Now he's replacing Weghorst who just left Besiktas for Manchester united which means this three clubs just swapped players with in themselves. Nevertheless, I'm very happy for Aboubakar who now has a club and a job to look after his family.

It was quite a shock but understandable the reason behind his previous departure from Al Nassr and I just wish him luck at his new club. We all know that Vincent Abubakar has gone passed his peak years but do you think he still has something to offer to the Besiktas side. They must have seen something he can offer before going after him or do you just think this was a panic buy that they'll be looking for a better alternative in the summer transfer window?.

Hello Hectorians! HIP 38A has closed and Option 1 passed with 50.48% of the vote. This was an extremely close vote and the voices and concerns of those who voted for option 2 have been noted. We will do our utmost to make good on promises and hope to change your mind and sentiment about this use of these treasury funds.  For those who voted for option 1, we continue to be humbled by your support! The additional funding greatly increases the new company’s ability to expand, aggressively seek further funding and start building hype around The Oikos!

Over the next two months the company will separate in as undisruptive a way as possible. Work on the formalization of the new legal entity has already begun, and we've started reaching back out to existing alternate avenues for funding to inform them of the next steps and timelines.

Thank you so much to all the Hectorians who participated in both votes, asked questions, came to the AMA and continue to participate in the process of community governance. It is your voices that continue to make Hector Network thrive.

You don’t have to buy bitcoin, you can use the money to buy stable coins and hodl them in a non custodial wallet. It’s like a fixed deposit account only better because you’re the only one that controls it. And you keep the rest of your money that will be used for daily expenses and business expenditures. Imo storing all your money in the bank is a bad idea. What happened to this lady could happen to you.

As you dey invest for stablecoin do understand say like many dun crash to zero already. Some go unreported as dem no be get better name for themselves so dem no go sell news. If you invest in the centralized ones like UST dey fit crash because of the founder carelessness while decentralized one fit crash (depegged) due to low liquidity like people no wan buy or sell am. E dey risky all through so instead Bitcoin is the most advisable form or you just find wey to hold the real dollars and forget all this stablecoin that's if you dey fear to invest and hold Bitcoin but na him for sure pass.

Bitcoin for crash on price today but you get every guarantee say e go rise back one day and since dat money wey you dey out their na savings then e no supposed affect you. Bitcoin no for get low liquidity as steadily people ready to buy for every major exchange both centralized and decent, same can't be said about some stablecoin. Dem dey die and new ones dey come out steadily so dey careful with them entirely.

It is very sad how we Nigerians denigrate our country when a person from another country tries to praise am for roads and infrastructure. We d try as much not to go with that person's rating of wetin em rate our country. Rather we go choose to paint our country bad for that peso eyes immediately.

Chelsea is currently vulnerable to every team and may likely lose to Liverpool. I don't know if it will happen but I just feel it may happen because Chelsea hasn't proven themself to be ready for this match coming on Saturday, If they are ready, it would have reflected in their last match against palace but yet it was still a struggling win. Let's just see if the addition of the new star could bring changes.

The fact that they were able to win that game against Crystal palace give me more confidence that we can get something out of Saturday's game. We're traveling to their stadium Anfield so we shoudn't be expecting a comfortable win. Are you forgetting that before that game that Chelsea were on a losing run and just got a break with that game. I don't think anybody expected them to win comfortably, what the fans wanted was just a win so it can help boost the players mindset against Liverpool game on Saturday.

Liverpool on the own end hasn't been in the best form so we shoudn't be expecting a dominate display from them. They should be scared because we might likely take all three points from them, that they need even more than us while adding to the miserable season they're already having. We got some new boys in that can cause damage so we splitting the points won't be a bad idea.

The Transfer Tavern; Chelsea: Blues could move for Moises Caicedo by the ‘end of the week
Source: https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/chelsea-fc-news/chelsea-blues-could-move-for-moises-caicedo-by-the-end-of-the-week/amp/

Chelsea could make a move for Brighton and Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo by the ‘end of the week’, according to transfer insider Dean Jones. The Premier League giants have reportedly made it their mission to sign a new central midfielder before the end of the window, and the 21-year-old has been identified as an ideal candidate.

CBS reporter Ben Jacobs recently revealed that Graham Potter’s side are exploring a deal for the Ecuadorian, who is valued at £75m, but could find a transfer difficult to negotiate as a result of his contract at The Amex not expiring until 2025.Caicedo has had an excellent 12 months, ranking in the top third of midfielders across Europe in four of the top five defensive metrics (FBRef), suggesting he could really add some steel and bite at the base of Potter’s midfield.

Chelsea football club are very serious in this transfer window, already they have spent about £400m and still looking to add more. Reports suggest they're now favorite to secure the signature of the Brighton midfielder ahead of 2 other premier league teams. I have watched Caicedo play and he's good at his role. So far he has started majority of Brighton matches this season and has been impressive.

Him coming to Chelsea will definitely be an additional strength to the team especially as it seems we have having difficulties at the midfield. Liverpool are also trying to get his signature bit it seems Brighton aren't in a hurry to let him go and will only do that at the right price which means if Chelsea were to secure this deal, we might be looking at another big money signing and at this rate I just hope the Financial Fair Play rules doesn't catch up on Chelsea because that'll obstruct other future plans in coming transfer window.

If u say this about Liverpool what then will you say about Chelsea who is in worst form than Liverpool? As far as Europe competition is consent I don't look little at any EPL team who makes it up to the round of 16.
Liverpool like you say has a bad result in EPL competitions but as far as the champions league, Klopp and his boys will fight with their last blood. Same as Chelsea

Premier league clubs has always been dominate in champions league football, why they aren't leading the table in the amount of individual club trophy won is just because Real Madrid has been very dominate, Barcelona as well. When we mention teams in each of the league that are representing very well in the competition, the Premier league has to have the highest number so nobody should think that'll be stopping anytime soon. It doesn't matter how poorly we're playing in the premier league, when it comes to the champion league, we'll turn up.

Chelsea has some boost coming their way as there are report of Reece James, Chilwel all training with the first team including our recent acquisition Mudryk. These players should strength the lineup of Chelsea to be able to get a win against Dortmund. Felix's presence will also be a key factor as I believe he must have served his three match ban before that game in February. We just hope everything stays positive at the club and we don't get further injure crisis or suspension as that'll destabilize the players.
