Goal Keeper's rarely take this awards, that last I can remember that was nominated for such award and cane out first three was bayern munich goal keeper. But for me the Senegalese deserve it. I do no mind who wins since it is going to the Senegalese team then they deserve it. Mane response to the post was to give the award to anyone from the Senegal side. He missed out on the award that was given to Dounurrama PSG goal keeper.

Edouard Mendy has contributed a lot to not just the success of his country but also to his club and should a keeper be considered, I feel the cap fits. But Sadio helped push his country into winning the afcon and also qualifying for world cup. He has made a lot of input to his home country and at his present club of Bayern.

I was happy to see Mane win the African Player of the Year. The award is deserving in sports and in character. When I viewed his award picture in black suit, Mane represented a true African. From his black color to his charity to the black people of Senegal to his hardwork down to his humility. He is a true African son, congratulations to him and I wish him success in his outing in Germany in Bayern Munich. He deserves nothing less than the best.

Maybe you're forgetting Edouard Mendy was also nominated so you can't say no other player deserve it more than him. Edouard Mendy has been in many finals in the last two years, won Individual awards for his contributions as a goal keeper. Lets not also forget he won last champions league trophy (season before this just concluded season).I'm just happy for Mane winning though because that guy has been disrespect alot recently at Liverpool. No matter what he does it seems he isn't be appreciated enough which is why I'm glad he isn't receiving this award as a Liverpool player.

This is the beginning of a new era for Sadio Mane. He would be winning many individual trophy now that he isn't under the shadow of Mo Salah. If he does well at the world cup, Senegal retain their title with huge contributions from him and Bayern Munich does what they knew how to do best at their league level (which is winning) couple with them winning the champions league then we might begin to have the ballon d'or debate for him.

Edouard Mendy is a very talented player, since been introduced to the North london club he has made quite an impressive impact in the team winning the Champions league and the premier league, indeed his performance has been outstanding and he deserved the awards in those years as a good keeper. I'm also happy Mane won the African best player, he is such a talented player and its a shame Liverpool had to lose him the way they did. I hope he proves himself at Bayern Munich and show Liverpool what they have lost.

In the last season, Mane has shown a lot of promise. I have to say probably it wasn't the most entertaining season but I am nitpicking a bit too much. But it would have been something if he was able to win the Champions League with Liverpool.

Oshoala is a talented player. She is always an influential player for her team regardless of which team she is playing, international or club football. I know that this has become a trend in Africa, where Nigeria dominates football. But we still have to give credit where credit is due. I really believe she has done an excellent job. She is also only 27 years old, so she has plenty of time ahead of her.

The award she won this time as draw so many peoples attention so many attention to  follow up on the super falcon.before nobody talks about the women league but this time it is now getting more interesting. I so fancy the energy has for football,  it is very rare to see a female football who is very committed like she is.

Nigeria female athlete Oluwatobi Amusan breaks world record at World Athletics Championship yesterday 24th July 2022. This is a plus to Nigeria and Africa at large. We need people like this in sport which will bring out the face of Africa to the world.

Morocco vs. South Africa(1-2) WAFCON finals. This particular South-African team was the game changer. The first time they are leading. Through sheer persistence they won. They had a good game and very good ball possession. And for the Moroccans they were motivated but their games were not too strong in front. They have lost the ball several times and are being played half-court by the South Africans. In addition, I wasn't impressed with the referring. Hopefully, we'd see an improvement in the next WAFCON.

South Africa is undoubtedly one of the best teams, both in the men's and women's teams, for me it is an example of football in Africa. For me, the hawks like the super eagles of Africa can be at their best, I want to see Nigeria in the next World Cup, and in this one that is female they have a high level, it is seen that the style of African soccer has very particular movements, I think that the style of each country is noticeable, when watching other women's teams play, they have different movements from those of the Nigerian women, and of course it is in their way of running, feints, even to hit the ball, I think that is very characteristic Of them, football on this continent is improving for me, I think that's why the girls showed great football here.

The Super Falcons has dominated the female football space of Africa for a very long time. It great to see new teams playing good football. The failure of the Nigerian female team to even clinch the bronze medal is a proof that female football in Africa is improving drastically. But so many things contributed to the failure of the Super falcons and one of it was mismanagement issues on the part of the Nigerian football governing body. There failure to pay the wages of these players might demotivate the players and make them under-perform.
