@DireWolfM14 said that Allen is on the injury report, but I can't find him there, so he will be fit I guess. Do you have a link Dire ?

The official NFL site's injury report: https://www.nfl.com/injuries/

The list doesn't specify the injury, but I think it's a lingering knee and ankle sprain he suffered a couple of weeks ago.  He's been practicing all week, so I'm sure he'll start.

spread of -7.5, which is the most worthless spread in football.

Agreed, I'd rather leaves everyone of those games alone.  7.5 and 3.5 point spreads always seem like trap games that gets ruined at the end of every game.  Under in the buff game and over in the Packers game

Buff 23 - den 13
GB 34- Carolina-24

Enjoy the games

-3.5 isn't bad, a touchdown vs. a fieldgoal will put a team up by 4, that's actually very common.  And +3.5 obviously if your pick loses by a fieldgoal.

But a team closing a game up by 8 isn't common at all.  It could happen if the team goes for the two point conversion because they're concerned the other team is going to score a touchdown in there next possession (but don't,) but that's a huge risk.  Yeah you might be sealing your win, but just as likely sealing your loss.  No HC would make that call unless his kicker is on crutches.

A combination of two field goals and a safety could put a team up by 8, but again safeties are very rare.  I seem to recall a couple of teams missing the point-after a couple of times these past weeks, and that could do it, but none of the games I recall finished with that spread.

I'm always on other 49ers forums and everyone is continually bashing Garoppolo because he is a "bad player" but when he's healthy, he's generally a well above average QB - he just has the injury bug.  Niners were smart to create the contract the way they did.  It's a pipe dream for us to get Lawrence.  I would prefer Zack Wilson, the kid out of BYU.  Killer accuracy and can evade as good as, if not better, than Lawerence.

That's the life of a 49ers quarterback.  Even Steve Young used to complain that the fans never appreciated him and he was always living in the shadow of the legend that is Joe Montana.  Interesting that as a whole we're still so picky and critical of our QBs, escpiacially after the revolving door that was the mid-2000s with Tim Rattay, Ken Dorsey, Cody Pickett, Shaun Hill, J. T. O'Sullivan.  Oh, those were painful days.  Painful.

You're probably right about Spicoli, all the hype seems to good to be true.  But, it would suck if we skipped over him and he turns out to be another Mahomes.

Well, that was another exciting game! Could have gone either way for quite a length of it. Even though Marriota didn't turn things around to a W, they were damn close, and I don't think the Raiders are going to forget about that going forward, and next year. Quite a morale buster for Raiders fans who were still clinging to Super Bowl hopes. Maybe next year.

That was a good game, it's good to see Mariota playing again.  One of my daughters went to UofO, so I've been rooting for him ever since.  I was surprised to see him, actually.  I hadn't heard that he joined the Raiders, made me wonder why the Niners didn't pursue him since Garoppolo is hurt.

I didn't place a bet until the Chargers went up 17 to 10 in the second, but then I jumped on the Raiders' bandwagon.  I wasn't going to do it, but when I heard Mariota was under center it seemed like a no-brainer.  Luckily I cashed-out after the Raiders' overtime fieldgoal.  I just didn't trust the Raiders D.

Anyone thoughts on the games today?  Was thinking of taking a prop bet for Allen under 2 pass tds.  In the last 5 games Broncos only allowed 2 passing tds...might take a stab on Buffalo too.  Thinking 23-13 buffalo.

Haven't gone through the props yet, but obviously Green Bay and Buffalo for ML.  Denver's defense has been playing a little bit better the last few weeks, but their offense can't compete with Buffalo.  Josh Allen is listed on the Injury Report, but he's going to start.  If he stays healthy throughout the game, I'd say Bills by a touchdown is a reasonable bet.

Green Bay could struggle running the ball, but when has that hurt Green Bay?  Sportsbet.io isn't giving the Packers anything less than a spread of -7.5, which is the most worthless spread in football.  I'll take the Pack at -8.5.  It's the Panthers for fuck's sake.

Fucking fantastic ending to a great game.  Wow, I don't even care that I lost my bet, it was fun to watch that mayhem that Lamar Jackson inflicts when he's on it.

Just watching the games and suffering in Patriots Hell...
Welcome to world of the 49ers' fans.  Cry
HAH! Funny considering the scuttlebutt of Garoppolo coming back to Foxboro for 2021. Grin
I really don't know if I want to see him back here or not but I'll take anyone over Newton!

Lol, yeah it's time, I think.   Lips sealed
Garoppolo isn't a bad QB, he's actually got a pretty damn good win/start record, but he's fragile.  He would be great behind a solid line, which the 9ers haven't been able to maintain.  And he gets rattled when the dice are down...  But other than that, he's great.  You'll love him.

I want the Niners to trade up and get that kid out of Clemson, Jeff Spicoli Trevor Lawrence.

I think I'll start with the over 45.5 Grin
That's my line.  Tongue
If Lamar keeps doing what he did so far, the Ravens alone might score 46 Wink

It's 28 to 20 already only half way through the third quarter.  Not what I expected for this game, but damn, Lamar is fast.  124 rushing yard already.

That’s because I was here before it was created and no information or notification was given prior to it being created. Therefore nobody knew what it was at the time and had to search out information on it once it appeared. Thanks for also sharing your ignorance. It’s great to be attacked by people who have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about, which is how I’d describe my last several years here. So much facepalm. If only people were knowledgeable enough to realize it. You’d be better served listening to my experience and learning from it than trying to pick it apart with semantics.

Interesting.  I've been here two and half years, yet I have no trouble finding information about the trust system:

May 21, 2013: Marketplace trust
January 9, 2019: DefaultTrust changes
June 11, 2019: Trust flags

I am wondering what the hell happened to Dan Bailey Cheesy Still remember him from his Cowboys days and he was a super reliable kicker, which always annoyed me a bit tbh. Nowadays he looks to be the worst kicker there is. He destroyed my over last week in MIN-JAX game, missing 2 PATs and 1 FG and yesterday he even topped that performance by missing 1 PAT and 3 FG's. And those misses yesterday weren't even close, they were way missed Cheesy

Yeah, some of those kicks were way...way off, especially the 54-yard one which was at least 20 yards to the right, Troy Aikman was joking that Bailey might not be Vikings' kicker in the second half.  Grin

Interesting fact, if we get two more missed FGs or XPs today, it will be 20 on the week, which is a lot imo. Guess not only Bailey is having a bad week, Castillo had 3 missed FGs for the Jets, McManus, Rosas, and Lutz each had two missed FGs.

I seem to recall the Talking Heads mentioning this kind of thing almost every season.  Now I'm wondering if it's always around this time of year, as the weather starts to affect the the game more.

The Vikings have missed a total of 6 fieldgoals this season, half of them yesterday.

And I remember seeing this post on Reddit claiming there were 19 missed fieldgoals in week 1:
There have been 19 missed Field Goals (FG) in week 1 this year. What's the most missed FG in a single week in the NFL?

I think I'll start with the over 45.5 Grin

That's my line.  Tongue

I'm going with the Browns.  They've been playing better ball the last few weeks, and I really think they'll be in the playoffs this year.  After the Steeler's loss last night, they have a good chance to win the division, and this game is a must if they want to do that.

It's a far bigger "must" for Ravens though - to keep their playoff chances alive.

I agree, but I'm on a streak of losing all my safe bets this week, so I might as well lose a risky one, no?  I took the Browns ML for tonight's game.  I want Baker Mayfield to finally live up to his draft hype, which I think he has the potential to do.  Now that the 9ers are out of contention I think I'm going to root for the Browns the rest of the season.
2630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: December 14, 2020, 02:05:57 PM
What do we see for tonight? Browns or Ravens?

I'd lean Ravens but this year all bets are off and I'm not going to bet until next season when al this Covid shit should be behind us. Smiley

Your lack of experience on this forum is showing again.
Lol. If you want me to respond to this, please create a topic in which it's not off-topic.

The best part is that right after he says you have no experience, he proceeds to explain how his lack of knowledge of how the system works is his excuse for misusing it.

Priceless.

There are always people who try. If he wanted to do it right, then he should also take a better name instead of what he chose. I just wonder what his intentions are of the op.

Don't look at me - I didn't start this thread.

Is there an accusation against you somewhere in codegnome's reply?  If so, I'm not seeing it.

Nobody is asking me, but I'll say it anyway; I would be very surprised if the OP is Timlord2067's alt.  He's had no reservations causing grief for a lot of people from his main account, I don't know why he would pick this case to pull a chickenshit move like the OP.
2633  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam exchange: ovextrade.com on: December 14, 2020, 01:23:52 AM
I'd bet the scammers behind ovextrade are still around, and if not, someone else has stepped in to take their place.  Trying to keep up on all the scam websites would be a full time job, and it's always going to be "too little, too late."  URLs are cheap.  As soon as they're exposed they ditch one URL for another in a heart beat, and start all over again.

The important thing to keep in mind:  If someone requests a deposit so you can withdraw "your money" it's 100% a scam.  Forget about the money they're in possession of that you think is yours, you'll only be giving them even more.

2635  Economy / Lending / Re: Borrow USD against BTC collateral @ low interest? on: December 13, 2020, 11:18:17 PM
It would be enough to probably make banks/IRS blink twice..

This might be reason enough to think twice about this plan.  Deposits of $10k or more have to be reported to the IRS.  The bank also has to report regular or intermittent deposits (not related to obvious employment) that may equal $10k or more per year.  If you need more than that, I would research the ramifications thoroughly.  You may end up having to pay taxes on whatever you borrow, and for non-employment income Federal and State (if any) taxes could cost you 30 to 40%.

I passed on all the early games, I focused on pissing away my money towards the EPL clusterfuck matches.

So, in an effort to keep my losing streak snowballing away my meager seasonal gains, I came up with this roll of the dice:

ETA: At half-time  Saints: 0, Eagles: 17  Shocked

I love industrial art, especially if it's useful industrial art.

I might have to spark up my Monarch 10EE and make something similar for USB sticks.  Great idea, sorry I have to steal it.  Grin

Hi I'm webtricks, I have created another alt account to confess that I am humbertin, and also I have many alt accounts to scam him.

Sign a message or expect more red-tags.

I'm assuming he is/was a scammer.

webtricks is not a scammer.  I'm assuming the OP is trying to defame him.  Don't feed into the bullshit, please.  Obviously anyone can create an alt and claim to be some reputed member.

I invested quite a lot on what I considered a very safe multi, all other games passed and now waiting just for LFC. I can still cash out and get my whole stake back and I will do that after 10 minutes in second half if we don't see a very different game.

It's not looking good for LFC, and Fulham is looking inspired.  That was a good strike by Salah few minutes ago, but a better save by Areola.

I already lost my multi when the Spurs choked at Selhurst.  I had LFC and Arsenal in it too, so I gave myself many opportunities to flop, lol.  Hopefully I can recover some of my losses on today's NFL games...

Does other kinds of seed phrase allow a third party to see the seeds?

If you allow Electrum to generate the seed phrase, you can see it by selecting "Wallet" from the menu, then clicking on "Seed."  You still need the password to display the seed phrase.  If you "restore" a wallet from a Bip39 seed phrase, that option will not be available.
