Seriously...what is your anger issues man. How about take all the vitriol and create something positive here and maybe respond in a professional and civilized manner. I do this for a hobby and play around with this for fun. Maybe you think its fun being and acting all weird and angry like you do. You'd get way further by reaching out and embracing people and seeing every situation as a window of opportunity. But hey...you run your community in the manner you wish. I was just making a conversation and observation. I am glad he pointed that out with big letters. Its very sneaky of you the way you phrased it, "why not rebrand to something the new community and new owners/developers are excited about" to give a wrong impression about a long standing Dashcoin community with no changes of a kind that you are trying to indicate. The only thing that is "New" is Darkcoin rebranding (again), ironically, rebranding in not something "new" to Darkcoin. Now shoo fly... And take your marketing advice somewhere else. Well friend... I wished no one ill will in my previous statement. Cheers. I'm glad if that's the truth.. Dashcoin is just 6 months younger compared to Xcoin/darkcoin/DASH but nobody here complained/advised/suggests about the name "Dashcoin"... Just you from DASH team/proponents/foundation members after darkcoin rebranded to DASH and tried to shutdown Dashcoin.. So naturally you will be faced with skepticism..I don't wish ill to you too.. Cheers

I just make the letters go BIG to make it very clear what's the REAL situation of Dashcoin...because it was so obvious you are stirring or squeezing an agenda that is moving away from the name "Dashcoin" and to rebrand to something else for me..DASH has given Dashcoin an exposure...and we will enjoy it oh...I totally agree. DASH has given Dashcoin exposure and that is a positive thing for DSH. I just never understood why the vitriol DASH bashing. I couldn't care less if all of crytpo crashed...as I'm doing just fine without it and all the drama that comes with, and what seems to be a bunch of nonsense with a lot of the people in this ecosystem, corrupt exchanges, etc etc. That being said...I do hate losing too and I do like making some change on the side...so if that qualifies as an agenda, i'm quilty I just never understood why the vitriol DASH bashing I'll give you a hint...why I enjoy "vitriol DASH bashing" --->although it is facts that I am sharing and not opinion or lies...When I revisit DASH thread during the "failed darkcoin takeover"....I've seen more information that I've not seen when I left Darkcoin in March, 2014..scam information and more details etc etc...which I don't see as "right" and you and the other shills trolling, misguiding, misinforming etc. more than 10 years ago when I loitered in our city plaza after school or during weekends, we "troll" (if it is the right word) in person, in flesh...you people in DASH thread trolled me during your "failed dashcoin takeover"... you brought back the fun I had back then, the fun in catching lies, delusions, deceit, manipulations etc. etc.

Now now...no need to get snarky. I certainly don't need to defend DASH.
I personally don't see why rebranding is looked as being some kind of negative think. In my business as an owner of a winery and beverage company...rebranding and re-positioning of ones identity is a must. Demographics change...anyone that has owned and operated businesses knows this. Things evolve. My company spends nearly a 100k a year in branding and market positioning.
And in regards to Bitcoin...thats probably the one item here that needs the most amount of help with branding. Its certainly not positive in the real business world or in any world for that matter. In talking with my bankers and business associates, they are not happy that we associate ourselves with Bitcoin and crypto currancy in general...and not because we(crypto currency)are a threat to them...my banks regional business is equivalent to BTC's marketcap, we are looked as joke. What concerns them is the brand identity of BTC with nefarious activity. And that goes for 99% of the people I mention Bitcoin too....so a rebrand would probably help immensely .
I would like to share why I invested in Dashcoin... I like the name. It is a 100% clone of bytecoin --> the first cryptonote coin I didn't see it dying due to lack of funds for the developer.

Cointelegraph article about Dash. DASH: Young Cryptocurrency With An Interesting StoryDespite its youth, the DASH cryptocurrency has a history full of events. The project was launched on January 18, 2014 as XCoin. Considerable interest in this new currency arose from the start and this was caused because mining of XCoins was possible even with the graphic processors of videocards while mining of Litecoin and Bitcoin on CPU and GPU stopped being the profitable a long ago... http://cointelegraph.com/news/116049/dash-young-cryptocurrency-with-an-interesting-storyThis is never going to stop. ... WRONG DASH THREAD!!! I understand that there are members here bitter that the owner/developer of dashcoin sold the right to the name to the DASH community. If dashcoin was/is a viable stand alone coin, even thought the original developer didn't think so, why not rebrand to something the new community and new owners/developers are excited about. There would always be the arielbits of the world out there that would bang their chest and cry fowl...but I'm thinking if there is something new and happening here why not rebrand? Unless of course there is something to be said on riding the popularity of DASH. And that is a viable strategy too...and has its own merits. Just a discussion, and not trolling or trying to stir anything, but facilitating a conversation. I hold this coin too... there is no "new community" or "new developer"
there was simply a failed Evan Duffield takeover or failed Darkcoin/DASH takeover

they attacked poloniex too because they like cryptsy soooo much. Every post you make about Poloniex being such a great exchange is another nail in their coffin. Tell me something isn't wrong there.
Tell me something isn't wrong here: Newsflash: Just because your sh*tcoin is the current Poloniex Golden Pump-Donkey, doesn't mean anyone here is stupid enough to want to buy it. What it does mean is that most Poloniex whales and mods bought xmr for peanuts and have ridden said pump-donkey HARD via blatant trollbox pumps (protected by mods). Soon as they think the donkey got as far as it can go, they will fight each-other to dump xmr to the ends of the earth, Busoni will then just replace XMR with a new Poloniex golden pump donkey, and a lot of crypto-noobs got ponzied, yet again. Until this time I guess people on this thread have to suffer the emboldened xmr geeks like you Joshuar who think that the above gives your project any real value and any right to criticize a coin with actual development / innovation. It doesn't. If you don't believe me, try selling some XMR somewhere in the world that isn't Poloniex and let me know how you get on.... I heard Poloniex owns hundreds of thousands of XMR because they have set up the deposits so that they can't tell who deposited what and users can't prove they made the deposit unless the user knew to send a special ID to go with the transaction. So now they have a high percentage of the XMR float that no one else can claim, and they have the monopoly on the market. There aren't many who would benefit more from the price of XMR going up than Poloniex, perhaps not even one. Agree. I guess the staff / Busoni also picked up a load of cheap XMR the same time they a) rejigged the Polo UX to guide new users into the xmr/btc market when the site loads b) put up a big XMR market box on every page that no one trades in but adds 'legitimacy' to the XMR pumps c) started orchestrating a non-stop XMR pump since December as shown on the full-of-pump xmr/btc chart and waves of trollbox entries like 'XMR is the next BTC!!!'. Poloniex has sadly become a blatant scam exchange, it's now blacklisted right at the top of the official BlockaFett exchange-scam listings Tell me something isn't wrong there.

Just read the trollbox during an XMR pump, see how the mods jump in when anyone criticized XMR (hardly ever), then watch it go quiet when the dump comes in sorry I have no problem saying this...XMR is an end-to-end scam, starting with the devs, ending up at Poloniex. But just my opinion. .....and the volume for XMR on Poloniex, it's so realistic, not sure what special effects studio they are using? But WOW! Mind blown for special effects! Edit: I think the XMR special effects are supplied by: Industrial Light and Poloniex Sell to Self Magic.

how about a group of people creating accounts that is connected to the open (with real name, address etc)?, because Evan wasn't acting alone..
Whether he was or wasn't, you'll probably find this more entertaining. typical DASH shill move twist, cut words and diversion tactics http://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2013-December/003964.htmlEvan Duffield eduffield82 at gmail.com Sun Dec 29 18:53:19 UTC 2013 Previous message: [Bitcoin-development] Fees / prio to be confirmed within .... Next message: [Bitcoin-development] Looking for GREAT C++ developer for exciting opportunity in bitcoin space Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] [ subject ] [ author ] Hello,
We’re a startup looking for 1 or 2 really good C++ programmer that is familiar with the bitcoin internals to help with a for-profit startup.
We will be able to provide more information about the project after signing a non-compete/non-disclosure agreement. Our coin will be one of the truly unique coins that are not just a clone of the original Bitcoin code. In short the project will be a merge-mined altcoin that will provide a very useful service to the whole crypto-coin ecosystem.
If you have added any features to Bitcoin or related technologies this is a definite bonus. Please include information about the work you’re done in the space.
We have detailed plans on how to implement it and the roles we are looking to fill. If interested please email eduffield82 at gmail.com with a description of your work experience and we’ll vett the applications and share our plans to see if you’re interested.
Thanks,
Evan & Kyle Hawk Financial Group, LLC He wasn't acting alone...got it now? ..and on top of that "I was working with Dash as a hobby"

Its been bothering me too why there are love at first sight user accounts, some are close to DASH launch date
Because they found something they were looking for, while you are still in a shithole Haha. True. I still don't understand what point this idiot is trying to make. Might as well be saying, "A portion of you created your btctalk account around the time a coin you are interested in launched, you seem really interested in the coin because you post here a lot, and you don't sound newbie-ish (a.k.a., stupid)." Sooooo? Is there a point somewhere to be made?!? I'll take that I don't sound newbie-ish as a complement, but I don't know what the implications of the rest of his posts are supposed to insinuate. Maybe if you try hard enough, a few facts strung together can sound suspicious... let's see: 1) You was born the same year as the Kennedy assassination 2) You have a friend with the first name "Ruby" 3) You wrote a paper on the Kennedy assassination in college, so you seem very interested in what happened that day You caught us arielbit! We assassinated Kennedy and there are hundreds of Dash users all over the globe that are part of a conspiracy to commit fraud on, um, so far ourselves... investors in the project. Its been bothering me too why there are love at first sight user accounts, some are close to DASH launch date
Because they found something they were looking for, while you are still in a shithole why are you all focusing on the launch date part? Lukas_jackson, you are not close to launch date but you qualified for this: "first post darkcoin (non newbie-ish)"Lukas_jackson and toknormal -->typical DASH shill move twist and cut words "A portion of you created your btctalk account around the time a coin you are interested in launched, you seem really interested in the coin because you post here a lot, and you don't sound newbie-ish (a.k.a., stupid)." Sooooo? Is there a point somewhere to be made?!? ever heard of sock puppet accounts? how about a group of people creating accounts that is connected to the open (with real name, address etc)?, because Evan wasn't acting alone.. FACT: >Evan was looking for c++ devs for a "for profit startup" at the end of 2013 for the launch of an altcoin.

Hello guys,
I am ready to play with Mist wallet. I am fairly new to the Bitcoin community and completely new to the Ethereum.
Would someone be kind enough to share 1 ETH so I can test the wallet out.
Thanks!

I would, but I don't want to be that guy 4yrs down the line when people bring up this post and say...."here's the guy that sent someone $450 of ETH just for the heck of it" check his last posts for a giggle What's so funny about my last posts? I had 1 Bitcoin that I got as a present a year ago and I decided to sell it since I needed money badly. I don't get it? Could you enlighten me please what's so wrong about that? About my request for 1 Eth, I don't have any crypto at the moment but I would like to invest some in the near future when I will be more financialy solvent. Until then, I am downloading and testing different platforms. For the most of the coins out there, there is a faucet except for Ethereum. For the ones that there are no faucets, asking community for a dollar worth of their coins was never a problem. I got sent NXT by their community and BTS, etc.. Now I thought that there will be the same thing with Ethereum community. I hope I was not wrong. So would someone be kind enough to send me that one Eth, since I can't even register an account in Mist without having no coins. Thanks everyone! but you're selling 1 BTC (your first post) you have 1 BTC or? Buy ETH on market It has been sold mate! If I had any BTCs I would buy that 1 ETH. Buy 0.0023 BTC, then buy 1 ETH Hello guys,
I am ready to play with Mist wallet. I am fairly new to the Bitcoin community and completely new to the Ethereum.

I don't need anything from anybody here!! you can test wallet with finney (1 ETH is 1000 finney)...I can send you .01 ETH (10 finney).... you want it?

Talked with a Leocoin MLM recruit.. he said that he could get 400 pesos or 8.69 $ if he recruited a member...commission varies on how "big" the membership package bought..these people belong to lower echelons of leocoin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponzi_schemeA Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator, an individual or organization, pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned by the operator. Operators of Ponzi schemes usually entice new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent.

..... love at first sight story with dash?
I'm going to get flak for engaging you, but...its been bothering me as to what your issue is with "love at first sight" that was the case with my wife and I...and 11 years later still going strong. I certainly loved the concept of a out in the open developer, his real name, where he worked, his spouse/girlfriend and where he lived. In the what appears to be the seedy crypto world, this stood out, enough so that I actually substantially invested in those first few weeks on merely a gut feeling. And truth be told...I did really REALLY well. Bonus. A man who's willing to put his name to his project and willing to take his lumps that goes with it and doesn't hide under crypto user handles, got and still gets my vote. I don't see your real name out there Mr. Arielbit. its been bothering me as to what your issue is with "love at first sight" Its been bothering me too why there are love at first sight user accounts, some are close to DASH launch date and first post are darkcoin (non newbie-ish). specially that they are DASH "shills" just like you..january 5 signup, first post DASH (non newbie-ish)....DASH foundation member and shill and .. well I have no issues telling my story on how did I find DASH I certainly loved the concept of a out in the open developer, his real name, where he worked, his spouse/girlfriend and where he lived ever heard of Bernie Madoff? .... he is out there in the open I don't see your real name out there Mr. Arielbit. how about asking the same questions to DASH shills "love at first sight btctalk user accounts" that? ...I'm their "Equalizer"

Or maybe the hash rate will start to fall. it's been quite a while since the hash rate increased (maybe botnets mining), but unlike During GPU and CPU mining was profitable, trade volume was bigger back then, compared now when hash rate increased the trade volume becomes smaller (i think due to the miner with huge hash rate is not selling). It is unlikely the hashrate to come from just one miner, because of the big fluctuations in the hashrate and a relatively flat hashrate from known sources. Maybe Bytecoin's devs are accumulating before they opensource the GUI. Or Changelly accumulates to not influance the price when people sell. Or big miners see a potential in Forknote. In any case, Dashcoin is very undervalued. We will have our answers soon as the block reward gets smaller. single or multiple miners...we can say they are not selling, that's why the market volume became smaller... Dashcoin will look better with the GUI ... "If" Bytecoin did not really take off or died because of the 82% premine, Dashcoin will be the choice for continuing Bytecoin code. ...maybe bytecoin devs are moving to dashcoin silently...."hopefully"
|
|
|
I recently noticed the block reward is at 1/3 now from last year and the hashrate is almost x10 compared from jan 2015
jan, 2015 ~ 45 block reward
jan, 2016 ~ 15 block reward
DSH mining is getting scarce and unprofitable...price might increase..

Any coin will do... we are all here for the money and love for crypto currency. I don't know if you would get more by joining well established bigger projects.. with smaller projects you could start small and the potential for growth is much bigger. I guess you are already knowledgeable in bigger projects since they got more exposure..I suggest to try to look at smaller projects like Argon (AR2) - new algorithm, newly released..the community has just begun..(dev seems inactive, needs GPU mining to chime in) Fantom (FNX) - community begs for take over and willing to donate (dev left with broken coin), invested my lunch money there...I want 10 lunches in return LOL Dashcoin (DSH) - my favorite, not developer dependent coz it,s a 100% bytecoin clone, you can leave any time you want LOL and we will irritate DASH .. there are many more small projects.. anyway you can do many coins if you like. OR find a job and work hard...

Dude, if you're going to quote me, you have to include it in context. I didn't "show a similar result". Did you even read my post? Those numbers require a bunch of rosy assumptions that simply can't be true:
1) It assumes that Evan was the ONLY miner for the first 500 blocks, which we know isn't true. There was at least one other developer at that time, I believe a friend of Evan's, but I'm not sure... so the "instamine" would have been split at least between two people 2) It assumes no one else was mining for the first 500 blocks (which may be the case... we'll never know, but I make this assumption in the interests of being conservative) 3) It assumes that Evan and Co had absolutely no down time for updating their miners, which is impossible... any downtime would reduce these assumptions 4) It assumes that once huge amounts of mining power joined beginning at block 500 that Evan didn't start experiencing an elevated level of rejects... this is unlikely as well since blocks were being created so rapidly at that time - literally seconds apart on average - that he and many others reported rejects, getting on wrong chains, having to reset, etc. Evan would have no way to be immune to these issues caused by the rapid creation of the blocks and network latency, so the true "networkhashps" is clearly understated during that period because many blocks were rejected and not counted. 5) It assumes that he never sold any Dash
EDIT: Not to mention that I was very clear that these numbers therefore constituted an UPPER LIMIT to refute claims by trolls (which I am starting to suspect you are) that Evan had instamined 1.8 million coins. This was proof that the claim was bogus. The real number is clearly much lower for all of the above reasons, which makes Evan's claimed amount of coins very much in line with what the data shows. If you are going to just ignore data, you are no longer just exhibiting "healthy scepticism" and I'm inclined to classify you as a troll yourself.
assume .. assume ..la la la assume .. assume .. Taylor05, signed up jan19, 2014...all first post darkcoin, non-newbie-ish posts and forever darkcoin what is your love at first sight story with darkcoin? welcome to my list https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1282836.msg13200467#msg13200467I assume nothing... I do not assume Evan sold a bunch of Dash, nor do I assume he bought a bunch of Dash (though someone mentioned he was buying 20,000 at a time) I don't assume he had an abnormal amount of downtime compared to anyone else... where do you get that shit? I'm referring to Taylor05 not you...that's all i read in his post....assume..assume..assume ...be concise, get a pair of balls Taylor05
