theres already a coin that uses Argon 2D called Unitus
they have a pool
http://mine.unitus.online/
they have a miner you can download from there
so theres already a version of cpu miner
and pool module that exists
hmmmm
maybe the devs wanted to unload there premine before they got this knowledge out into the public
im gonna use that miner to set up solo mining once i get home from work
i;ll let you guys know how it goes

just for the record..this is the first argon2 coin -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1288816.0

adjusting if needed makes sense.

I don't know what's the right % of masternodes for the whole network is right,  but I've shown the numbers..looking at the top 100 addresses  http://espv2.miningalts.com/richlist , the top 100 address is having 35 million ESP..so I assume that it is a little bit over 100..maybe more or less 150 masternodes that will be online if masternodes is implemented now..

with almost half of the maximum coins already mined and just a little bit over 100 masternodes seems quite few to me.

Of course we can make them adjustable. Your calculations are wrong, only top 3 adresses can run 120 xnodes. Top 100 holds like 15 billion coins so will be like 600 xnodes. If I hold for exemple 100 millions esp I can run 4 xnodes.

yup, I made a mistake...I made a quick math in my head in a haste..but we still have to remove exchanges from the rough estimate of 600xnodes...maybe ending up to ~300 xnodes considering there are many holders with less than 25M.

Actualy there are. We are working on Android wallet and also on xNodes.

What does the 'x' stand for? Extra? Extreme? Exclusive? Expensive?  Grin

I believe these are expensive nodes (xNodes) that will be somewhat similar to 'Masternodes' of Dash.

Well indeed the mn will be a little bit expensive but for those who can't afford one still can stake the coins (25% / year is  a good payout). About the amount was voted 25 million espers, but when the community voted the price of 1 ESP was 1/2 satoshi. Another thing 25 million / mn won but there was people who voted 50 and 100 million also. About the xNodes well... first was ixNodes ( for Inteligent TX Nodes, but I simplified it to just xnodes).

dash mn = 172000 $ / mn , esp is 9300 $

current supply 20.19 Billion / 25 Million per masternode = 807 masternodes
max supply 50 Billion /25 Million per masternode = 2000 masternodes --> all coins mined

that is assuming everyone has more than 25 Million with 25 Million denominations (ex. 50M, 100M, 150M....) and there are no exchanges that have coins(cannot masternode for this example)..

dash currently has ~ 4500 masternodes, ESP can only have a lot less than 807 masternodes (assuming masternodes are ready to be implemented now) isn't 25 million per ESP masternode really good for the health of the network?

You also have to take into consideration the fact that the Dash network is much bigger. How many % of the nodes in the network should be a masternode?

I don't know any statistics but I'm sure the Dash network is magnitudes bigger than the Espers network right now, so shouldn't the number of masternodes match that ratio? Just a thought ...

Also the plan (afaik) is to adjust the price for a masternode later on, like they are doing with Insane. That will make sure the price per masternode and masternodes ratio in the network make sense and are not ridiculously high or low.

My personal suggestion to CCz was to adjust the payout and power of masternodes dynamically, depending on the balance you reserve for it, and on the ratio of masternodes in the network. I don't know if any of that has made it into the "xNodes" idea though.

adjusting if needed makes sense.

I don't know what's the right % of masternodes for the whole network is right,  but I've shown the numbers..looking at the top 100 addresses  ttp://espv2.miningalts.com/richlist , the top 100 address is having 35 million ESP..so I assume that it is a little bit over 100..maybe more or less 150 masternodes that will be online if masternodes is implemented now..

Dubious nonsense

I thought Tayor05 is really Taylor Swift, she is into crypto in a big way, didn't you know. Maybe you're thinking of Taylor01, Taylor02, Taylor03 or Taylor04

But imagining that is the Dash Core CEO, what a shocking revalation. Someone into Dash in the beginning is still into it.

signed up the day after xcoin launched....didn't post anything until july(most likey he have other btctalk accounts) and then straight into darckcoin thread(not newbie posts)..he was an insider he was into it in the very beginning..

Dash Beginnings = instamine, information blackout, accumulation phase by insiders.......Evan was the front man, projected as a lone dev...it was all a lie..... This reinforces that Dash beginnings was planned including the instamine by insiders.

So they had a crystalball that was predicting that dash will grow up to 160$ or so ? You are pathetic , grow up bitch dont post again in this thread u retarded kid!

do you see any price prediction in all the links I posted and the words I say?? the only thing you harm mr. harmani is yourself..go on with your worthless posts and get out of my way you whore  Tongue

BTW your non stop whining about DASH prices must have fucked up your brain...your posts wasn't entertaining or informative just plain non stop whining...i just scroll down you all the time.. rat.

DASH launch date January 18, 2014

cross post at DASH ANN thread:
total supply of dash coin fixed?

According to Evan, nothing in Dash is fixed.  He may change the total supply any time he wants to.  It's already happened once.

Any changes to Dash will be voted on by the masternodes.

The Masternodes did *NOT* vote on the Darkcoin to Dash rebrand.

Darkcoin was re-branded to Dash before masternodes existed

Bless your heart, are you really this stupid or intentionally telling lies?  Cheesy

May 2014: Darkcoin price jumps on eve of Masternode Ponzi launch - https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/darkcoin-price-skyrockets-eve-masternode-launch/

April 2015: Darkcoin rebrands to Dash - https://www.coinprices.io/articles/darkcoin-rises-rebrands-to-dash

You assert Dash's 2mb blocks "will be implemented without controversy" yet fail to address the specific reason I provided for doubting that, as if you don't even understand what the phrase "quadratic verification times" means.

If Dash were to suddenly gain widespread actual use it would need 2mb blocks, but would not be ready to implement them.

Where is the code and testing for 2mb blocks?  Do you actually think Evan can just find and replace the variable to upgrade?

Where is his solution for quadratic verification?  When will it be tested and ready for production?

What is the point of voting for 2mb blocks and congratulating yourselves about Dash's DGBB when the votes have no meaning other than pure symbolism?

You have conceded the Darkcoin-to-Dash rebrand happened without Masternode voting, but you are so profoundly ignorant of the basic facts you aren't even aware that Masternodes existed long before the rebrand.

How sad that I must inform you about the actual history of the scam coin you are choosing to shill for using fake facts about the rebrand occurring "before masternodes existed."  Kiss

I'm going to concur with what MM said

So you also believe the Darkcoin-to-Dash rebrand happened before Masternodes existed?  That's adorable!   Grin

i never thought these shills would go this low..haha

I think he posts on /r/dashpay as Basilpop.  He's a real piece of work who attacks any mention of the Instamine and bans posters for insufficient clapping.

It was great fun watching Basilpoop have to put up with a high-profile guest from Twitter that he could not simply abuse and moderate.

i got the humidity numbers...my sump pump and humidity/temp meters arrived...

humidity in 1st floor is 60-65

humidity in 2nd floor (in my mining room) ranges from 30 to 50 depends on the weather...but i noticed that when it is cooler humidity is higher....so if during the day when it is hottest i can run an evaporative cooler setup because during the hottest periods humidity is between 30-40 (more like nearer to 30's like 30-35)..

my 24 hr room temp today is 99f lowest and 116f highest

i don't know if being on a higher ground reduces humidity etc...the air conditioned room beside my mining room is currently 30 humidity and my mining room is 39 maybe because my mining room is sucking more air than my air conditioned room therefore sucking more humid air.

so for my mining room setup I can implement an evaporative cooling without worrying about humidity....good humidity is between 30-50..climate here is getting cooler, summer here is ending so i'm not in a hurry anymore for setting up my evaporative cooling..next summer it will be running for sure  Cheesy

A/C units are dehumidifiers,so to speak. You notice the condensate line outside?? A 3 ton A/C system can make up to 15 gallons of water per day  Wink

thanks..I once looked at how dehumidifiers work, it was like an A/C system..missed and forgot that one...the secret is condensing air to water.

funny my mining room humidity at present is 32 and the air conditioned room beside is 37 .....the A/C system's dehumidifying effect isn't that great hmmm..

last night humidity in mining room is higher...at  day time mining room humidity is lower but temps is now 114f

humidity in 2nd floor (in my mining room) ranges from 30 to 50 depends on the weather...but i noticed that when it is cooler humidity is higher....so if during the day when it is hottest i can run an evaporative cooler setup because during the hottest periods humidity is between 30-40 (more like nearer to 30's like 30-35)..

my 24 hr room temp today is 99f lowest and 116f highest

i don't know if being on a higher ground reduces humidity etc...the air conditioned room beside my mining room is currently 30 humidity and my mining room is 39 maybe because my mining room is sucking more air than my air conditioned room therefore sucking more humid air.

so for my mining room setup I can implement an evaporative cooling without worrying about humidity....good humidity is between 30-50..climate here is getting cooler, summer here is ending so i'm not in a hurry anymore for setting up my evaporative cooling..next summer it will be running for sure  Cheesy

for people who have problem with claymore fee you can use EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner.

NVIDIA is better at efficiency (hash/watt) and you can have huge hash rate per card like 1080ti's ~ 700 sols

and this feature... Wink

Version 0.3.3b
Added option --pec power efficiency calculator.
Added option --fee developer fee control.
Use miner --help command for more information.

guys...time to own both AMD and NVIDIA!

Could you please explain the --fee option EBWF_?

You can set size of devfee in percentages --fee 0 no devfee --fee 2 - 2% --fee 1.5 - 1.5% etc. By default fee is 2%.
was NVIDIA fan and would love to get myself a 1080ti rig, if i had the spare cash, cards still well expensive but lways better quality than AMD

is there any cheaper Nvidia cards we can use?

1070 and 1080

Am I correct, thinking that this miner is only for AMD GPU? And it doesn't support NVIDIA?
