Here's my pick for today's game:

NorthPort ML @2.03 boosted
SMB -3.5 @1.85
Dyip +7.5 @1.83

Alaska will be playing for the third straight days and they might be tired now so DYIP have a chance to somehow manage to have a close game and not a blowout one.

NorthPort has a huge win against the Rain or shine, the game went to OT but this time NorthPorth manage to win, Greg is the best player in this game. On the other hand, we have SMB vs Magnolia, you lose your bet mate, Magnolia is hot right now, they beat SMB by Paul Lee's 32 points.

mate, did you know that Terrence will not play? I didn't see his name on the scoreboard.
2662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 18, 2021, 08:58:59 PM
By the way, we have 3 games today, I like to hear your thoughts on the upcoming games.

Here are the betting games and the betting odds.

2:00 pm - ROS (1.80)  vs NP (1.90)
4:25 pm - Hotshots (2.21) vs SMB (1.65)
7:00 pm - DYIP (3.70) vs ACES (1.27)

https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/philippines/pba-philippine-cup/matches

I'm betting on the following teams to win, ROS ML, Hotshots spread, and DYIP spread.

We have 3 games today, it should be a good Sunday, so I'm also thinking of putting a parlay on the ML, just for fun, I'll throw a little as 4 USD in this bet.

Moneyline - ROS+HOTSHOTS+DYIP, that's a total of 14.7186 or equivalent to 58.8744 USD if that hits.

2663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: September 18, 2021, 07:58:41 PM
You can't really expect fate and lack of control be one and the same. Fate has many roads but you get to pick which one of those roads you go down. As for me, gambling can be fun and if you make a winning, yay for you. And if you lose, then thats just the price for the fun you had. Don't play with money you can't afford to lose. Either you have money to lose or you don't. Making excuses to go against this rule will get you everytime.

The only thing I know is that your actions dictate your fate, so if you have lack of control in gambling, you would know what your fate will be in the future, and don't expect you will not face a problem. Gambling is risky for people who lack discipline, that's why it's very important to understand the risk so we will have any problem in managing it.
2664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 18, 2021, 07:32:36 PM
Still a rumor and there's no update regarding to this possible trades.
If ever Sixers will agree and they will let go of Simmon for Irving, both will benefit,
Kyrie, if he will adjust with his attitude, can help Sixers to climb up and have a good chance of winning either conference or world title.
Same with the Nets, Simmons can definitely help KD and Harden, Ben is a good defensive stopper focusing on that role is a good
help since both KD and Harden are healthy coming this season, they can share ball and dominate their offenses.
Both good player in terms of there role and skills. But personality is another thing. You are right about Kyrie, He is a bit self centered that's why he can't work properly with star player. Simmons will be a perfect for his position because he can definitely adjust for KD and Harden since he is a rookie compared to Kyrie. While on the other hand, Kyrie might play a very good performance with Sixers due to less competition. This will be a good trade if this really happen.

Irving has been one of my favourite players since he was in Cleveland Cavaliers. He is a very good point guard with decent scoring and very good dribbling skills, also his passing is very good. I feel like he would set very well with the Sixers. And having KD and Harden on offense and Ben Simmons on defense will be a plus point for the Nets. Hope this trade goes off and both the teams benefit both the teams.

No one would deny how skillful Irving is, but the problem is probably his attitude towards his teammates that's why the team will not succeed. I read some article in the past that Irving left the Cavaliers as he doesn't want to be the shadow of Lebron, so now, probably he also wants to be the leader of the team which is obviously is not because Durant is better than him.
2665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 18, 2021, 12:42:42 PM
Next time I will transfer it to my desktop wallet before sending it to Coins.ph
Why not use Binance P2P instead?

You are literally wasting a lot of transaction fees just to avoid the verification process, even if we assume you are attempting to obfuscate your funds by transferring your money from a gambling site to a personal wallet and to coins.ph, keep in mind that the tx fees add up, and so does the ugly spread when converting crypto to fiat.

Use a hotwallet like Bluewallet to receive your payments from a gambling site together with Binance P2P to enable you to transfer funds in between whenever you need some fiat.

I agree with Binance P2P, a good thing it has existed as it really saves us users of coins.ph that does not anymore like the strict verification process. Now, you have to verify every transaction like you are an accountant recording all the transactions.  Grin

Haven't heard of Bluewallet yet, but I see good reviews about it as I'm reading it now, I think I'm gonna try this one.
As of now, I'm only using electrum for my in-between wallet.
2666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 18, 2021, 12:10:06 PM
Trashtalks arent that bad but as long it wont really be that personal or really crosses the line.Trashtalk like about the fight or something inside about it is just right or i dont see anything bad at all.
What if a boxer would intentioinally do that because it's his technique to destroy his opponent before the fight?

But i do fully disagree on how Casimero did really make out some personal trashtalks when they are tending to fight with Donaire which i do really see that he really go beyond on that point.

As long the fight is really just focused on between boxers even no matter how hard those trashtalks as long it wont really be going into personal then it does counts.

Casimero can do what he wants to do, it's true he is really disrespectful, but that's him, and IMO, it's not nice that Donaire back out in a suppose to be big fight between him and Casimero because he got disrespected, it looks like he was afraid of fighting Casimero that he could persecute in the ring to teach him a lesson.
2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 17, 2021, 09:40:37 PM
so maybe, he has this trash talking strategy to sell his fight but he is indeed a good person outside the ring.

He is good at his style, so he is keeping it as he is successful with it, it's also fun to see a fight where one trash talk a lot, which gives more excitement for the fans. Inoue is already known to be a great boxer with a big potential to become a superstar, it's a good thing he accepted the challenge of Casimero and that's what we should see this year, hopefully.
Yeah but there are people who do really complaint about being a trashtalker but instead they do prefer on being a humble or not that tactful.Well we do have our own preference in things
and everyone cant be pleased out on what Casimero is been doing and if it turns out that its a little bit harsh on what he's been saying into his opponent then its our personal reaction
and views but there are people who do really look at this to be normal which is part on selling off the fight because they do know on how it could really benefit out.

Boxing would be boring if there's no trash talk, it's not in line with real competition like the Olympics where a fighter represents his country. In professional boxing, it's entertainment, and for people to be entertained, their attention should be called that's why Casimero's style is very effective because the world already notices him and knows him now.
2668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding 5 years a just a imagination on: September 17, 2021, 09:11:11 PM

we keep the coins at least 5 years , but its too long imagination.  you can proof it. 2018 early NEM coin was top 6 Marketcap now 56. so keeping its useless. we have to updated everytime and get the action the correct time and exit.

Now i think bear market is going on , so holding for 4,5 years just a imagination. specially i have to say that TOP 5 coins , we must keep  most probebly they will surpass the All time high again.

what all your perspectives?

In crypto, any change happens very quickly. The excitement around a project can quickly subside, if only because a similar but more advanced project appears. Therefore, you need constant monitoring of your investment portfolio. On the other hand, if you have free money and you like any coin (NEM or something else), you can continue to hold it for a couple of years, hoping for its revival.

Long term hold is good for a coin that has a good potential in the future, if a certain coin struggles now, it doesn't mean it has no good future, every project pass in that kind of time but as the team continues to work for the improvement of the project, time will come that it will pump and investors who bought during the dip will be lucky to cash out with a decent profit.

I'm not anymore a holder of NEM now, but this project is an old project, it survive so it would likely pump as its time will come.

THE BEAST beats the Buzzer.

Check out the game winning shot here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igIrQvkKcJ4

And that shot leads to this article.

Replacing Slaughter in final play 'our fault,' admits Pido

If Gregzilla was there, they could have protected the paint, and with 2 seconds to shot, Magnolia will be forced to make a 3 point shot which is a low percentage shot in a pressure time.
2670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think I have a gambling problem on: September 17, 2021, 01:38:26 PM
You already feel the addiction and it doesn't bring positive in your life as it made you lose your focus on your studies.

Look, you are still young, you need to focus on things that matter, treat gambling as a fun activity but always be in control not to lose a lot of money, and not to fall in love with it. At the right time, you will enjoy gambling if you will learn how to prioritize things in life, and at your age, you know what is your priority.

Have you guys seen the rumors on social media about this Daniel De Guzman who is giving tips for PBA games?

Allegedly, the SMB-Ginebra game was rigged. The accuser even posted some text exchanges between him and De Guzman.

How was that rigged? what was the exact message? I didn't see anything in social media regarding that but I'm interested to know as rigged games in the PBA is a very interesting topic especially if you are betting on games.

Quote
Do you believe in this?
Yes, but it would be more believable if it's backed by some evidence, I want to see what are the information in the text messages.

Read the news, looks like it's a hot topic now because it's a big accusation but Daniel de Guzman denies the accusation. \

It already has 7.5k shared. this will go viral for sure.

Just seen this circulating post around FB and for sure it will affect him and the rest of those names behind. Good thing here are the possibilities of more exposures.

I'm sure that there are many people with the same experienced of this person who lost from the possible rigged game. But expect the denial and knowing the culture of corruptions, it will never to go and dig deeper.

Remember the Allado case? or how about hontiveros? all those are rumors but in the end there's none that being exposed.

Let's wait for the verdict for now we have 3 games tomorrow and what a timing all are SMB corp. Grin Roll Eyes

I don't know if the PBA will open an investigation into this, because if they do, it will still affect the reputation of the league, and knowing that this player is just a rookie, people will speculate that there's more serious thing going on inside that is bigger than what was exposed.
2672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 16, 2021, 01:31:20 PM
People expect a lot from Silva now because he won by KO in the first round, this guy really is smart, he doesn't need to be the one who is the aggressor but he is just waiting for the right timing, maybe next time if someone will challenge him, they will think twice of attacking him as his counter punching skills is very accurate and he has a powerful punch.

That fight is over, we saw what we need to see. Question is, will he still continue to fight, who will be his next opponent?

I'm thinking maybe either of the Paul Brothers could face him, but hopefully, the one who has a better record and that was Jake Paul, was there a rumor regarding the possibility? or it's just me thinking nonsense?

^

It seems to me that many people just don't understand how deeply corruption is embedded in sports at all levels. It is so difficult to investigate and provide evidence of corruption in sports that I get the impression that corruption will never be eradicated from sports.

Exactly, that's why corruption will continue to exist, some games look questionable but we can never question them because there's no evidence that would prove they are doing something wrong, all we have is inside our mind and we speculate of what could probably be happening.

As a bettor, I also consider that sports are rig and I don't fall in love with sports easily, so I can be wise when it comes to betting, that's using my mind not my emotion.
2674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 15, 2021, 09:42:06 PM
Whenever you do been prompted about this stuff then its better to avoid and there are several ways for you to push through without compromising your account.

That's right, because it's already evidence that you are sending to an address that belongs to the gambling site, and if you lied, they would also know if they make an investigation on your account. Actually, they wouldn't know it right away, but that doesn't mean that if you were able to pass by lying, you won't face the consequences of your past actions.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: September 14, 2021, 09:33:50 PM
Jonas Sultan is a beginner and he's just starting to create his name in the boxing industry yet we shouldn't underestimate his capability because we all know how Filipinos could surprise their viewers during the match. It will be a tough fight for Carlos Caraballo but I'm sure that he'll also prepare a lot for this.
He is not a beginner, look at this boxing record (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/648292), he started fighting in 2013 compared to Caraballo who started his career in 2016 (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/773544). Jonas Sultan also has more fights compared to Caraballo, but what matters here is his perfect record, just like Inoue who only has 21 fights and yet he is the most popular in his division now.
2676  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 12, 2021, 09:46:03 PM
Corruption is the easiest way that they know to get richer which is too unfair especially to hardworking athletes and people who involve in sports. However, there are still trustworthy people who work fairly. We can't stop corruption but let's hope that more honest people in the world of sports would exist.
It's always been corruption that they do when there's big money involved. There really is unfairness in many things and these corrupt people don't think of being fair with others.

That's why in many things including in sports, they tend to corrupt anything that they can because it is easy for them to do.

Corruptions dictate many things as there is a huge amount of money that involves,

It's hard to terminate this business since there are still many  people who are willingly embracing this system, not just for sports but in vast majorities, corruption is present.

I would like to believe from the post above you that there are still honest people who want fairness in their business, while others
continue to entertain corruption. let's wish for more people to realize and stop this dishonesty.
Corruption isn't a business.

Well, it might be already the business treatment for those corrupt people that are inside the sports org or any agency where they belong.

There are those people that makes it as a business already and they've became used to it with how much money they can make from it.

The main reason why corruption happens in sports is the big money stake in it, make sports betting illegal and there will be no more corruption. The sports betting industry as reported is a billion-dollar industry, with that huge money, I think greedy people will be interested in taking their share, and that is using their influence for their personal benefit.

Though this doesn't look like a big crime as no life was taken, it should be treated the same since it's stealing the real entertainment of what the fans deserved and the fans made this league run profitably because of their support.
2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 12, 2021, 08:59:23 PM

They really have this chemistry issue with the arrival of Cstand, seems that the latter is having a hard time adjusting to coach Tim Cone's system.
Since the arrival of CStan the chemistry between all ginebra players is collapsing, unlike before where young players are rotating and finding their space inside, they are scavenging balls and try all the best to help.
That wasn't the expectation, we know that coach Tim Cone is good with handling his players and creating a good chemistry.
I also don't understand why they are having some problem, I see that C. Stand have a good season with the SMB, so maybe they should look at how did the SMB coaching did that so his talent will not be wasted.

We are no longer seeing that; they are just pure rotations and they are just trying to follow the system that coach Tim design for them.
Quote
With this situation Ginebra is in, i don't that that they would reach the semis and we might see some trades involving Cstand in the future.
Too early for that, knowing coach Tim, he will give CStan enough time to adopt. Maybe it's hard now for them to reach the finals, but who knows? They won't be called, never say die for nothing! Hehehe classic Ginebra follower Tongue Roll Eyes
Quote
NorthPort's situation is opposite with Ginebra and they are winning game lately and seems to me that NorthPort have the advantage of the Cstand-Slaughter trade.
Indeed, they just escape and win over NLEX. They are now in the good run, placing themselves in a much better standing.

Their win sometimes is not really that convincing, I miss the old Ginebra where they can dominate the opponent.
Maybe it's a karma for trading Greg after an assurance that if he will sign with them, they will not trade him.
2678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 12, 2021, 08:20:57 PM
Ortiz was face first to the floor after shot by Anderson Silva but it was predictable and only judges could screw this up, but now he is calling a fight with Logan Paul next, that means he needs more money  Roll Eyes

Everyone needs money, the fact that they are into exhibition fight, they definitely need it. Why not challenge Jake Paul instead, I'm sure even Jake Paul would take the fight, and I think it will be another win by Jake Paul and we might see a worst KO than what he suffered against  Anderson Silva.

Quote
I didn't watch Holyfield fight because I knew it's going to be boring circus show that will be soon forgotten by everyone, Belfort is 14 years younger guy.
I just trust Holyfield by his name, in this fight, age really matter and that has was the weakness we saw.
Nice win by Belfort, he should fight more.
2679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 12, 2021, 12:36:25 PM
This warning is very timely as the government of the Philippines is already starting to imposed stricter rules on crypto industry.

No choice but to follow. Coins.ph is just following regulations given to them by the BSP so others should not blame them if they feel not comfortable with these terms and regulations by the exchange.

We should really expect that while crypto is becoming popular in every country, stricter regulations will be imposed on any crypto-related companies. There are alternatives to transact safely with gambling sites and that's more important.

Better than being in a country where crypto and gambling are totally banned.

Since coins.ph prohibits the use of crypto for gambling purposes, I think that means gambling is also prohibited in the Philippines if we access online gambling sites. Actually, not related to coins.ph. I tried to access some gambling sites, like a fiat gambling site and it prompt that they cannot serve my location, so I assume that it's illegal.
2680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 12, 2021, 12:05:27 PM
I don't know if Tito Ortiz took a dive or if he is badly washed up but that was an embarrassment. MMA fighters that don't have any experience in boxing should stay far away from the ring. They should enjoy retirement instead of looking for an easy payday by risking getting badly hurt.

I thought that the match could have been fixed as well, good money though for Tito if he took a dive in round 1, LMAO. The announcer said that Tito mentions that training in boxing is very different, specially the head movement. And now we see how he paid the price by not moving his head, he got knock out in round 1. If he took a dive then he should not be badly hurt, but in any case, the fans didn't get their money's worth.

That would be so dirty if they fix the fight,  I mean, this kind of fight suppose to give entertainment to the fans, and I think the fans entertained as they saw a KO win by Silva. I know Silva is the heavy favorite here, and we were never wrong because he wins the fight easily.

I think Silva deserves to have another match, a fight that would last a little longer and that could challenge him.
