2681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 16, 2020, 06:43:24 PM
Can people stop complaining about the "seriousness" of this match? This is supposed to be an exhibition match and no one expects Logan Paul to knockout Floyd Mayweather. If you want a serious fight, then you have plenty of options. Canelo Alvarez vs Callum Smith is scheduled for this Saturday. Everyone knows that this is going to be a lopsided fight and people are paying money just to see  Floyd Mayweather back in action after such a long time.

Hopefully Julian Assange and Edward Snowden also has a chance.
I hope they all rot in jail. All three of them knowing broke the laws and worse yet, knowingly helped others do the same.
Screw 'em!

Are you going to say the same about Aaron Swartz as well? Yes. They broke the law, because laws are created by politicians and they don't ensure that the laws are fair. Now what is Snowden's fault? He revealed information on various global surveillance programs, which were run without the required permission from the respective countries. Rather than trying to find out information which would prevent terrorist attacks and similar incidents, the FBI was using these surveillance programs for their own narrow benefits. If someone should be jailed for this, then those who are behind these surveillance programs deserves it more than anyone else.
2683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance hits 65%, alts lagging behind on: December 16, 2020, 06:23:33 PM
it has become a tradition if Bitcoin dominance rises then altcoin prices plunge,
this is because the shift from altcoin holders to Bitcoin is too much to make Bitcoin dominance rise above 60%,
of course the impact on the altcoin market is very high, if you want to buy altcoins in my opinion right now is right time,

I can't completely agree with you. If you check my previous posts, it can be seen that when Bitcoin was trading at around $10,000 per coin, the dominance was around 62%. Now it is trading above $20K per coin, and the dominance has slightly increased to 64%. Now if the altcoin prices have remained the same, then the Bitcoin dominance would have been much higher. It would have been in the ~80% range. That hasn't happened, because the altcoin prices have also increased during the same period.
2684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 16, 2020, 06:13:53 PM
Surely this is not bad idea at all because this can bring some more interest good viewership even New Zealand is not cricket lover country Rugby is first love for them but with these two teams they can take some good advantages in many ways like USA enjoying with Canadians in few leagues like NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS these have just 2 or 3 teams from Canada but some very big profit is coming for them.

The idea is good, but arranging the transportation and logistics can be very challenging. For example, Perth is located some 5,000 km away from Christchurch. Do you expect the players to travel all this distance several times a week? One option would be to stage a few initial rounds in New Zealand, and the remaining matches in Australia. But then, how many New Zealanders would purchase tickets to watch Hobart Hurricanes taking on Adelaide Strikers? Or how many Australians would do the same for a match between Auckland and Christchurch? The gate collections may get affected.
2685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: December 15, 2020, 06:50:46 AM
Today's match, Hyderabad vs East Bengal
East Bengal is one of the most failed teams this season. They have not won a single match till now. Although they are a completely new team in the Indian Super League. On the other hand, Hyderabad has not lost a single match. They have won only one match, drawing the remaining 3 matches. I hope they will win today.

Actually the failure of East Bengal FC proves the quality of I-league is much worse than that of the ISL. Let's not forget the fact that East Bengal was the runners up during the 2019-20 I league. They were one of the strongest teams in I league, but they are unable to compete against the ISL teams.    Mohun Bagan on the other hand (champions of the 2019-20 I league) entered in to a partnership with Atlético de Kolkata, and as a result they were able to perform well.
2686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bnb is cheaper faster then eth and btc on: December 15, 2020, 06:36:38 AM
I think OP is talking about Within the Binance Exchange. if you use BNB as trading fee, you'll be able to trade for a lot cheaper than Eth or BTC Fee. and by faster he probably mean Transactions But in Binance chain. if you use ERC20 BNB it is not faster at all. it is same as ETh. but in Binance Chain (their own blockchain, they launched recently) BNB coin seems very fast.

BNB is very useful for the traders, as Binance provides a 25% discount on the trading fee if you make the payment with BNB. Especially for day-traders, 25% can make a lot of difference. And any token within the ERC-20 platform will attract high gas fee and result in delays, but that is not the case when you use BNB within the Binance chain. But you should be cautious while using the Binance chain, as it is relatively new.

International travel is not a big problem, the problem is how many people are involved. The covid test must be done before travel. It is mandatory. But the more people involved, the greater the risk of coronavirus outbreaks.

For the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, I believe that the BCCI has taken all necessary precautions. They have divided the 38 teams into 5 groups, and each of the groups will be stationed in bio-secure bubbles. Certain amount of air travel is necessary, as I don't think that remote state associations such as Mizoram and Manipur would send their squads via rail or road.

I am still trying to get more details about the Ranji Trophy, but as of now the BCCI hasn't divulged anything related to the tournament.
2688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Crypto be more valuable than gold? on: December 15, 2020, 05:54:17 AM
If you take the current market capitalization, you can see that gold is valued almost 30 times higher than Bitcoin ($10.6 trillion vs $350 billion). And in the future you can expect the gold market cap to go further up, as the availability of easily extractable ore is declining. Anthony Pompliano recently claimed that by 2030 the market cap of BTC will be higher than that of gold. It is going to be almost impossible. In order to reach that milestone, BTC exchange rates need to increase by anywhere from 30x to 300x.
2689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 15, 2020, 05:44:07 AM
Marcus Harris could be a contender for opening slot but not Tim Paine as he never opened the inning, he's more of middle-lower middle batsman. Both teams are having tough time on selection.

For Australia Top order and Cameron Green's concussion seems serious drama and India is also confused over Shaw vs Gill / Pant vs Saha and 4 seam bowler attack vs 3 seam + 1 spinner.

The latest news is that Cameron Green will make his test debut if he passes the fitness test. Regarding Shaw vs Gill, I don't have a preference. I am not impressed by both the players so far in this tour. That said, I would pick Pant over Saha. The latter is 36 years old and I think picking him over a promising player such as Pant will affect the morale of the younger players. And as far as the bowling attack is concerned, would rather prefer 4 pacers. Indications are that the track at Adelaide will be more supportive towards the pace bowlers.
2690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev - JOSHUA WINS IN ROUND 9 on: December 15, 2020, 05:34:14 AM
I think boxing media thinks that Joshua will just steam roll on Pulev and the fight shouldn't last for 9 rounds before that knockout. He had him in round 4 on the canvass already if I'm not mistaken and it took another 5 more rounds to finish him.

So that's why he didn't get the praise that he was supposed to get in this fight. They think that Joshua is now playing safe and not aggressive enough to go for an early knock down.

Pulev's performance was disappointing, but he wasn't that bad to give a 4th round knockout victory to Anthony Joshua. AJ had to work hard for his win, and it was not a cakewalk. The outcome was more or less certain, as the odds were heavily favoring Joshua. But the next match against Fury will be different, and there he will be the underdog. On top of that Fury is in top form right now.
2691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH 2.0 has still no Effect on ETH price on: December 15, 2020, 05:22:19 AM
Are you thinking that after ETH 2.0 is launched, the price will grow 10x?  The market isn't like that especially if the market growth is natural.  Unless ETH is greatly pumped, we will never see such huge increase in a short period of time, but if you look at its recent growth, ETH do increase in market value.  I think ETH 2.0 is one of the reason why ETH market price increased.

So far this year, the ETH prices have moved upwards by around 400% and most of this price rise can be attributed to ETH 2.0. Some of the experts even claim that Ethereum looks overpriced at this levels. But I don't share the same opinion, since the current level is still around 60% lower than the ATH reached during 2017-18. But any claim of 10x sounds impossible for me, at least for the next 2-3 years.
2692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO! Which one do you want to return again? on: December 15, 2020, 05:12:07 AM
I am someone who got greatly benefitted from the ICO boom of 2017. But then the influx of scammers from 2018 onwards made it impossible to invest in this sector. The IEO sector got a great start, but after sometime it also ended up like the ICOs. I don't think that a revival is possible with either of these two sectors, unless the basic concerns are answered. Investors are more cautious now and they don't want to pump their money in to ICOs/IEOs without any solid guarantee and protective mechanisms.

2694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm dumping my coins because.. on: December 15, 2020, 04:52:03 AM
If a particular coin or token seems worthless to you, then you should immediately get rid of it, rather than waiting for too long. This was one of the mistakes that I did during my early days of association with cryptocurrency. If a coin goes down by 90% or 95%, then the chances are that it will never recover. Most likely it will get delisted from the exchanges and will become dead or dormant.
2695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 14, 2020, 06:08:29 PM
If covid situation stopping Ranji atm then i think BCCI is optimistic and might be preparing for some plans behind close doors already, after all English tour is coming up then IPL and in the end hosting rights of T-20 WC. That's so much cricket in India and if everything goes okay then they might go ahead with Ranji too.

Ranji Trophy is like the largest domestic championship for cricket anywhere in the world. It involves more than three dozen teams (and there are still plans to add a few more like Ladakh and Air India). Conducting such a tournament is much more challenging than scheduling the T20 World Cup. I guess the Ranji tournament may be conducted, but in a scaled down format with less number of matches.
2696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin has not been able to hit $20k price in 2020? on: December 14, 2020, 05:50:29 PM
The main reason is people sell their cryptos when it reaches to 19k. It dips to 17k and they begin to buy bitcoin and the price increase massively to 18-19k. Traders do not want to risk their fund for the next thousand dollars I guess. It reached 19900 ATH but it is hard to reach 20k.

This scenario is not going to last forever. May be for the next few weeks, the short-traders will be able to perform this cycle. But eventually the long term investors will step in, and remove the additional supply from the market. Once this is done, the supply squeeze will ensure that exchange rates will breach the 20K resistance level. But even if this happen, there is no guarantee that the prices won't fall back to sub-20K levels at some point in the future. Spikes and corrections are a part of Bitcoin, and we need to get adjusted to it.
2697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 14, 2020, 05:00:44 PM
If ICC want any sort of success with this World Test Championship formula then for the next WTC edition they should make at least one change, like same match series for each country. Its bizarre that one country playing 20 tests and others are playing 10-12 matches just to win so-called prestigious Test Championship title.

This World Test Championship itself is a joke. It is impossible for such a tournament to get completed in just 3 years. And if they further elongate it, then it will become even more meaningless. IMO, only the top ranking 4-5 teams should take part in any such tournament. It will reduce the incidence of one sided matches. There are 12 test playing teams out there and it is not possible to get all these teams in to a single tournament, when a single test series can take two months to get completed.
2698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2020 US Presidential Election | Trump vs Biden on: December 14, 2020, 04:33:28 PM
Yeah, there are still gambling platform that hasn't yet agree with the recent result from the US election, as you have said, the rich politicians always making frantic efforts in turning their lose into win through some dubious means with the government mercenaries. What the Electoral College said this time will be final and Trump and his political party will be compel to accept the outcome result from this election and US will be great again.

This is not a new tactic. Some of the gambling platforms have used silly excuses before to deny winning amount to deserving people. US based gambling sites can't do that, as they will be taken t o court if they attempt to do anything even remotely similar. I am not sure what we can do against such gambling platforms which are based in various island nations. This is the reason why I stick to reliable gambling sites, which have been online for at least 2-3 years.
2699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cambodia enacts new laws related to gambling. on: December 14, 2020, 04:23:23 PM
Yes, they are I hope that this thing can help their economy too, for them to create more funds for their infrastructure and security, it can create different jobs that can help their citizens, there's a lot of opportunity for this if they will continue to support gambling industry, in my country most of the gamblers are foreigners but I think the law is not equal in here for locals and foreigners.

From what we have seen, prohibition never work against gambling. It is similar to certain other sectors. Look at Saudi Arabia. Alcohol is banned there. But in every nook and corner, you can find cheap supply of locally brewed liquor. Cannabis is banned in India. But you can find tens of millions of people, who use the stuff regularly. And countries where gambling is banned have the largest per capita population of gamblers. Legalizing gambling can bring down the crime rate, increase tax revenues and create new employment.
2700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 14, 2020, 05:07:48 AM
Well, as usual, this is still all about money, this fight should not be considered as professional fights between two fighters because it is just an exhibition, it would be better if this fight will be for a cause because if not then I don't think that many people will support the fight on February 20. I like watching boxing especially if that is a serious fight but if the fight is just only for the boxer only then I don't think that it would give me hype on watching.

All the fights are about money. Have you heard about any boxer (apart from Manny Pacquiao) taking part in charity boxing matches? And at this point, Floyd is looking for some quick bucks and exhibition matches such as this one are more convenient for him. He don't need to train hard, as his opponent is an amateur. And he is almost certain of a knockout victory.
