It needs to be updated for BASEL III Accord from BIS. It is Agreed but not yet implemented it further reduces the "backing" of currencies and interlocks the main currency pairs with each other's debt as the backing. Reduces the value of gold and hard assets for central banking account settlement.

It's pretty simple when you think (or don't) about it. If you can imagine something, it exists because you have connected to that reality where it does. We are multidimensional beings, thoughts are other dimensions, other realities that we connect to. If you can think of an all powerful conscious being, it surely exists.
What if I imagine a universe that operates according to physical laws without any sort of god or supernatural beings? Who's imagining (creating) it? ?? He, and now you, and now I, and now the reader of this...all did imagine/contemplate a universe that operates according to physical laws without any sort of god or supernatural beings. According to your formulations. So you just demonstated how you and I and others exist prior to any Universe that operates according to physical laws without any sort of God. Congratulations! Therefore God is a collective of all of us Do we get a group discount at Tautologies 'R' Us?

That's where Google stores their pallets of cash Giant bitcoin miners water cooled by the ocean. Very good idea. Bitcoin miners in Antarctica? (penguins!) Why not?!?! They had the best cooling Solar power for half the year?

If the value of bitcoin is the same in 5 years that it is now, it will likely have out-performed all fiat currencies. If it is the same in 20 years, it almost certainly will have done so. That alone makes it a bargain at today's prices.
How rational is the exuberance?

Can we take a 51% vote on renaming ElectricMucus? I'd vote for that.
Its pretty apt. Mucus is that stuff that by its nature, sticky and thick, serves to trap unwanted particulates and usher them out of the body. It lubricates and contains antibodies that recognizes invaders like virus and antibodies. Without mucus, we would not be as hardy. By its nature it can also be annoying, so that they stuff gets coughed out. But the bad stuff isn't really the mucus, (though it tends to get the blame) its what the mucus has trapped. The particulate in question, the nomenclature of new coin discovery, is probably more of a dust particle than a virus, even so if there were something better, it would be a good thing. The term "Mining" may cause some confusion, and also some curiosity. Some folks are very good at fixing problems, and not so good at identifying problems, or selecting which are important. Others have a talent for identifying, and still others for the prioritization. All are necessary to advance.

There aren't really any mines involved. We could call it "data centering", but I suspect it wouldn't have the same appeal, even though most data centers are much more comfortable than most mines. A rose by another name...

DomainsbyProxy is just GoDaddy's "non-personal" registration service. I use it on andarazoroflove.org and have since mid-2003ish. Its just to keep your personal info from showing up in a "whois," and costs $9.95 a year. Not too scary.
Agreed. Personal information can distract from the purpose of a web presence.

I think one thing we have to keep in mind about china is the fact that the country is still under the control of an oppressive authoritarian pseudo communist government. That's my reasoning for this barrier. It may not be directly from the government, but I think the government is what is ultimately affecting them.
I have deep sympathy for the Chinese people, they have a more difficult situation than we in this regard. Bitcoin brings them more freedom than most. they may be "under the control of an oppressive authoritarian pseudo communist government" but other than the name, i see very little difference with any countries government. They all act in their own interests, although i would say China's gov do seem to act more for the people than some democratic governments do..... we should not be so fast to judge, their way seems to be doing much better than our way at present..... It is not from Judgement... The sympathy comes from a different sort of "oppression" probably better characterized as "guidance". The restraints on investment, procreation and the centralization of broad planning do not make for optimal use of the great minds of the decisionmaking among the broad population. The resulting over-investment in property development and pending demographic challenges of the coming decade portend a real estate bubble that is going to be a formidable challenge. It is further perpetuated by the local government's funding needs against the interests of the central plan. Bitcoin provides an option for them that is more needed than most any other place, and the vast wealth of their nation may make for some exuberant overconfidence in the matter. It is a big challenge, and I hope they are up to it. Hopefully they have learned the lesson of the US example in this regard. The USA did much the same, on a numerically larger scale, but proportionately smaller. It is interesting times ahead.

In 5 years the design flaw pointed out by Microsoft research can become relevant.
If you can't remember what that was about: Without a sufficient block reward nodes will stop broadcasting transactions because by not doing it they increase their chance of getting the fees contained in them if they are mining.
That sounds interesting. Do you have a link to more information? http://research.microsoft.com/apps/pubs/default.aspx?id=156072You could have googled it yourself though. It bears revisiting this.

Perhaps they are paying out shares in the exchange to test the exchange, and waiving fees during the test. Not to be confused with live exchange data.

Its perverse. The PMI comes out better than expected (producers are succeeding) so there is a monetary move to stocks to invest in producing companies and away from the bonds, which causes the interest on the bonds to rise. But the government spent all the money for the next generation of production already so now has to pay more interest to keep floating dollars. This meager economic success means that the FED has to suppress interest rates, or the government goes belly up? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? :'::.:::::.:::.::.: : :.: ' ' ' ' : :': :.: _.__ '.: : _,^" "^x, : ' x7' `4, XX7 4XX XX XX Xl ,xxx, ,xxx,XX ( ' _,+o, | ,o+," 4 "-^' X "^-'" 7 l, ( )) ,X :Xx,_ ,xXXXxx,_,XX 4XXiX'-___-`XXXX' 4XXi,_ _iXX7' , `4XXXXXXXXX^ _, Xx, ""^^^XX7,xX W,"4WWx,_ _,XxWWX7' Xwi, "4WW7""4WW7',W TXXWw, ^7 Xk 47 ,WH :TXXXWw,_ "), ,wWT: ::TTXXWWW lXl WWT:

1000+ years to guess at 20,000,000 guesses per second
The problem is that it might be guessed in 2 seconds , in 10 minutes or in 989 years. It's "1000+years" to try them all. Usual misconception about password security. Your password is just a needle in a haystack, which the cracker attempts to find.If your add more characters the bigger the stack is , but it doesn't mean that you're 100% safer. To make it clear: It will take god knows how many billions years to get all the private keys right? Well , a few thousands private keys will be generated in one hour , if you're one of the owners... it's just luck "It will take 1000 years" Maybe there are 10.000 hackers so .1 year? Maybe each have 10 computers so .01 year? Maybe every 12 words found in any sequence on any publicly available web page get stuffed into a rainbow table... Have fun securing your brain wallet.

Or maybe 1K IMF SDRs? Call it the Special x K Parity Party.
This would put the party a little sooner, probably.

it's relevant how much value you transferred.
The value I transferred is 1 BTC. Does another value exists? Maybe it ought be measured as BTC/DATE?

With the price staying this solid over the weekend I'm tempted to buy some coins just for this coming week's a least +10% bump.
You think 233 by next weekend?

It was called generating Bitcoins at the start, which is a way better term. Yes, very much more accurate, more descriptive. Don't know if that means better or not though. The introduction post was just my way of pointing that out. Seems to have gotten under some skin, so bravo for the marketing, you memester you.
