2723  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why visa debit credit masrercard can do? And btc Can't? on: November 25, 2020, 02:22:07 PM
Bitcoin transactions are instant, what isn't instant is the confirmations... And the risk about accepting unconfirmed coins is a double spend, so, is better to wait at least for one confirmation to take that payment as valid, another way the same coin could be spent 2 times and the one who represents the payment to you will never arrive. The solution is something called lightning network, you should read about that topic.
2724  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: LA REAL HISTORIA SOBRE EL ORIGEN DE BITCOIN Y DE SATOSHI NAKAMOTO on: November 25, 2020, 02:05:08 PM

2725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you verify every bet as a gambler? Provably Fair Guide. (New Update) on: November 25, 2020, 01:56:20 PM
BUMP!

Wanna read more about provably fair? Check this article on BTCGosu: https://www.btcgosu.com/provably-fair/

That's a nice article, all the casinos listed there are trusted sites. But some of them have a complex provably fair engine.

I don't like the sites who have a shared nonce and not an individual one, to be more clear, some casinos use the total number of bets on the casino to estimate the bet result while others use the total of your own bets.
2726  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: November 25, 2020, 04:26:15 AM
Until now i had the time to answer the questions, but is nice to be part of it, thanks for the invitation zasad

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
2014... i was searching for a way to make money online and I found it  Grin
2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
Never, I had never bought bitcoins, I like to earn them with my work and see them as an extra income.
3. How did you get on the forum?
I see in a casino someone mention the forum, I take a look and see a thread where a guy was offering money if someone helps him to fix his server, in the moment I create my account, make a post and after some time the job was done and I receive the payment. That's how I get in the forum and you can see in my post history.
4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
The mass adoption of bitcoin is prevented for the transactions confirmation time, if we have 2500 transactions in a block every 10 minutes how do you want that 1% of the world population send a transaction in the next 10 min? And the adoption of altcoins is prevented by ignorance.
4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
Casinos, Mixers, Exchanges, and any kind of service should have an opportunity to be advertised on the forum. I think this is the best place to promote a crypto-project.
4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive
3 years on the business shows how risky it is... Some people buy at $19k 3 years ago and had to wait that time until they recover... but some people buy this year at $10k and now they almost double up. Even if you have experience in cryptos trading we learn things news each month.
4.4. I see a decrease in activity in many local boards. What do you think needs to be done to develop activity in local boards?
I think we need a better SEO structure for local sections and already posted my initiative on the meta section:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5170503.0
5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
I don't think they harm the forum, both of them are a way to force the users to post quality and that makes for the forum a good quality site.
6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
The welcome by satoshi... and theymos as the most helpful user.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5.msg28#msg28
7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
-Like/Dislike.
-Embed Videos.
-Cryptos Wallet.
8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
Yes. I do both.
9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
Some months ago I hit x9999 on a casino for a 0.1btc profit in my first 3 bets on that day... The fun fact is that the day before that I spend 0.1 chasing that multiplier Tongue So, there it is, a story with a big profit and a big loss.
11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
I'm not trying to be anonymous, I have nothing to hide.
12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
Mastering Monero by Serhack, is a book that all should read, you can get it free or for a donation:
https://masteringmonero.com/
13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
1.-Bitcoin
2.-ETH
3.-Clamcoin
14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
Maybe $25k, with the hot news we had this year I don't know how high the moon rocket will go.
15. P.S. (Optional)
As I always say, this forum is a great opportunity to make business... I see it as the money forum where people are talking about money while trying to make more money while trying to spend their money. so, just ride the right wave.

Thanks again for the invitation and good luck to all!

2728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 25, 2020, 02:48:56 AM
This is like playing with fire... At some point, the scam will get you even if you are just risking the profit you already get, in the end, you are risking money that should be in your pockets. I know some people who use to do what OP says, bet on the new ponzy before the owner runaway and some time they win and other they lose. If we play with fire at some point we get burned.
2729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Site Buys $100 Million of Bitcoin Every Month to Pay Players in BTC on: November 25, 2020, 02:38:16 AM
This is crazy news because $100 Million could hardly move the markets, it's an amount who had an impact. And in another hand, this is a great promotion for the casino because a lot of users who want to avoid taxes on a big win will always prefer to get the payment on bitcoin. So, I hope to see more casinos doing the same move in the next months.
2730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple (XRP) is again in the news. Will it break its ATH r before the Year Ends on: November 25, 2020, 02:20:17 AM
Ripple is i one of those good streaks just like all other alts... But I don't see a great future for it because is a complex coin. I mean isn't a coin that you can download the core and build your own transactions, is more a coin to use with the tools made for it, but for me, that isn't a decentralized coin.

I hope it hit $1, it would be nice to see it there, but I wouldn't bet on it for the future.
2731  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin shoots past $19,000 as new ATH awaits on: November 25, 2020, 01:08:00 AM
...
Some in the community are expecting the cryptocurrency to be due for a correction soon...

Even coinmarketcap has a raffle where we can predict the day when bitcoin will hit the $20k, and they offer $10k to the one with the best guess... Is like if they were sure it will happen so let's be patient because that number should be around the corner, for those who want more information I will leave the link.

2732  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful this coming Black Friday on: November 25, 2020, 01:04:54 AM
The best option to avoid getting scammed is to use the old trusted sites like Amazon, eBay, and all those sites that we already trust. The tips that OP shared are good to avoid getting scammed in life and not just on this black Friday. But is good advice to all the users.

By the way, I'm already busted after the 2 weeks of 'Good Weekend', so I will skip this black Friday.
2734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the main reason for this bull market on: November 24, 2020, 03:01:16 AM
If we see this price right now is because there have been some crazy events for bitcoin this year, I think the main factors are:

1.-  Covid makes more people join the digital world.
2.- Bitcoin halving... if the prize of each bock goes to half in bitcoin then double the market and the miners will get the same as before.
3.- Paypal opening the doors to bitcoin.
4.- some big companies investing tons of money in bitcoin.
2735  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT ★★★ The legend is back! ★★★ Bigger and better than ever! ★★★ on: November 23, 2020, 11:31:44 PM
...
Can you please run through an example and tell me how much one will win or lose once they complete it then?  Does it change?

They still stand to lose 1.76% house edge and are not guaranteed to receive rakeback, right?

Yes, I can give you an example.

Let's suppose a user made a 10BTC depo, then hi drops 2 max bets on the blue line... 7.5btc each one and he wins both on x1.1, the prize from his bets would be 0.75 btc on each shot, a total of 1.5btc of profit. And as Rakeback he would get the 1% of the 15btc wagered. That's 0.15btc.

The house edge is reflected in the long run, if a user makes 1 million bets in the same multiplier with the same amount in theory he will lose 1.76%...

If you think a casino should pay back the house edge then you are wrong, they are a business, and the way they pay the salaries and servers is with that 1.76% profit.

But some lucky users win more than what they lose, like the guy who started with a really low amount and then win 5btc on a single bet, if you want you can replay the bet here:

https://luckyb.it/games/plinko/f9e6f03d-0f8f-4f56-b2cb-6f45965b25d4/90b24bfd-d4c9-4565-89c7-30f62403aa50

Where is your house edge when someone wins 5btc starting with less than $50?
2736  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT ★★★ The legend is back! ★★★ Bigger and better than ever! ★★★ on: November 23, 2020, 10:51:13 PM
All current and future promotions are useless.

If a site does not honor it's original promotions, how can anyone expect that they can do the same for a new one?

The promotion itself even if honored is complete garbage.  You MUST wager 60 Bitcoin to get 1% rakeback.  You will lose approximately 1.056 Bitcoin in the process.  Then you may or MAY NOT get the 1% rakeback as advertised which only comes to 0.6 Bitcoin and also comes with strings on it.

So you are pretty much losing over .45 Bitcoin by participating in that 'promotion'/'free money'.

Do yourself a favor and simply not play this unprofessional site.

Looks like you don't like to read the rules, next time you complain be sure that you are reading the rules my friend.

There are 3 ways to get in the promotion:

1.- The Legend Rank (is the number you see under your profile pic) right now you are lvl 23, which mean you are automatically in for the 0.25% with your current level.

2.- The deposits if you depo up to 10BTC you get the 1%back, but you can join to the event with a deposit of 0.025 for the 0.1%

3.- The wager, if you wager up to 60BTC then you get the 1% back, but you can join to the event with 1btc wagered for the 0.1%

So, to be clear, 3 ways to join, not 3 requirements.
2737  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyBit took away my 0.05 BTC after wagering 70% req & banned me after on: November 23, 2020, 10:34:01 PM
Their terms of service are clear, they can change their promotions if they want and you agreed with the TOS when you created your account. So, you should know that.

If an achievement prize goes down there is nothing the users can do, because it's a Bonus prize... If you want the bonus then you have to complete the requirements, and from what I see you didn't wager the 10BTC so how can you complain about it?

But hey, isn't everything lost. You can wager the 10 BTC this weekend and get 0.1BTC back... Luckybit is offering double than those 0.05 to their users.

https://luckyb.it/blog/legendary-rakeback-weekend/

About the ban, you drop your questions and you got an answer for each one of them, after that you keep complaining and calling the site a scam site, that's why you get banned, 24h to chill and think about it. If you want to go on the weekend,  depo 10BTC and wager them you will get the 1% back. This is the chance, take it or let it go.

If you don't agree about how they solve the dispute, then read the Terms of Service section 26:

Quote
26. Disputes
-We will try to resolve any disputes with you quickly and efficiently.
-If you are unhappy with us please contact us as soon as possible.
-If you and we cannot resolve a dispute using our complaint handling procedure, we will:
- -let you know that we cannot settle the dispute with you; and
- -give you certain information about our alternative dispute resolution provider. If you are located in Europe, you may also use the online dispute resolution (ODR) platform to resolve the dispute with us. For more details, please visit the website on the ‘Your Europe’ portal: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.home2.show&lng=EN
-If you want to commence court proceedings clause 18 below will apply.

If you want a solution then do the wager on the weekend for a bigger prize than that 0.05btc, if you just want to complain you are free to keep doing it. Good luck.
2738  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT ★★★ The legend is back! ★★★ Bigger and better than ever! ★★★ on: November 23, 2020, 09:59:52 PM
The Achievement prizes move down in the past weeks, isn't a new thing at all... And they do it because users were abusing that system. And Luckybit is totally allowed to do that because is in their Terms and Conditions.

At the start that achievement used to pay 0.1BTC, then it moves down to 0.05 and now to 0.005... But is free money, is a reward that Luckybit gives to the active users.

But not everything is black... This weekend we will see the event called 'Legendary Rakeback Weekend'... where users can earn up to 1% rake back.

So, if you were chasing the 10btc wager for a 0.05 prize, Luckybit is offering 10btc wagered for 0.1btc back, how nice is that?
2739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's good about BCH? on: November 23, 2020, 03:58:57 PM
Swiss SEBA bank accepts Bitcoin Cash and USDC stable coin so the customers can use them. I understand what a stabe coin is for (even though there are many of them) but what is good about Bitcoin Cash? Some relative of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin cash is a fork of bitcoin, they have the same roots but they work differently because BCH has bigger blocks, which means it can process more transactions in the same period of time.

Is wait to see BCH and not bitcoin in a service like that, but I think they did it this way because is cheaper to buy BCH than BTC.
2740  Other / Off-topic / Re: GIANT trees on: November 23, 2020, 03:29:06 PM
So, you are trying to say the mountains were trees before?, the problem with that theory is that mountains are made from stone and not from wood, there is a difference between a stone and petrified wood. They are not the same...

And about the video you posted with the title 'No Trees on Flat Earth' the theory could work if the earth were flat, lol. This is just another theory without fundaments.
