2461  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Local bitcoin auto reply bot needed API on: April 08, 2021, 03:49:58 PM
This project should be easy, it can be built from scratch... here we have the contact function on the API:

https://localbitcoins.com/api-docs/#contact-post

Then we have nice examples of how it works with PHP and Pythonn:

https://github.com/3ttercap/LocalBitcoins-API/blob/master/_api_localbitcoins.php
https://github.com/mgp25/LocalBitcoins-API/blob/master/src/LocalBitcoin.py

Op can save some money if he spent some hours making it by himself.
2462  Economy / Speculation / Re: Someone just bought 12000 Bitcoin on coinbase wonder why? on: April 08, 2021, 03:56:24 AM
I don't think this is true, if someone buys 12k bitcoin the prize should go up, but now we see the prize at $56k, I looks more like someone sell that amount of bitcoin. That would explain the crash.

And is a crazy big amount of money, enough to move the markets up and down, but in the end isn't that big if you compare with the number of bitcoins traded in the past 24 hours, the total was 1,325,507 BTC, So, that 12,000 btc only represent the 1% of the market movement.
2463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its not so Easy to lose in crypto trading and btc on: April 07, 2021, 11:37:31 PM
If you think isn't easy to lose in crypto trading, then you should be new in cryptos, and let me tell you something, I have seen coins losing more than 95% of their value. That's a huge loss for those who were holding those coins.

The first day when zcash comes to the markets it was worth 3000 btc, and it was because the number of coins was really low, and some people spend on that coin at some crazy high prices, that's why I start calling the coin zcrash, because it was always going down.

So, if you see today the coins only going up, that doesn't mean is a secure bet, this kind of inversion is a high-risk bet, and we have to play it smart, using the brain and not the feelings.
2464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Great help needed. on: April 07, 2021, 11:29:59 PM
Well, if you are new to the forum first of all let me say Welcome to Bitcoin talk. You will learn a lot on the way but is important to understand what you can do and learn on this site.

Try to navigate the subsections on the forum, there you will find sections like Services, where you can offer your services or hire any kind of service, another nice section is the mining section where you can learn all that you need to start your own mining farm. And the forum even has a lending section where you can ask for a loan if you have the right collateral.

Is about what do you want to learn or with what people you want to make a team. So, take your time and do intense navigation.

2466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who else here got some KickToken? on: April 07, 2021, 05:32:55 PM
I got some of this shit token too on my Atomic wallet, and I hate them, we can't spend them or sell them, and sometimes the value goes nuts. So, was fun to open my wallet and see +$1200 there, and then I realize it was the value of those tokens, but there are no exchange to sell them, so it sucks hard to have them.
2467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving bitcoins as a gift? on: April 07, 2021, 05:09:30 PM
In the past i did the same, once i give altcoins worth $100 and after 4 years that person call me and asked how did she can withdraw those coins, in that moment those coins worth $$800 so, it was a great deal for him.

And is fun, because when we giveaway those coins we didn't expect the price goes that high, but I don't regret my move, at least I make someone really happy.
2468  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Se filtra información de 500 millones de usuarios. Gracias Facebook. on: April 06, 2021, 03:43:00 PM

2469  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for script and web developer on: April 06, 2021, 03:39:22 PM
I am not looking to build a casino, I know that costs a lot of money. I want a simple website like freebitco.in in the start or like faucet crypto but with a dice game incorporated.

There are a lot of faucet codes on github, you could grab one from there.

https://lmgtfy.app/?q=bitcoin+faucet+github

From there you can grab the code for the lottery and for the chat box too, and another good source is https://codepen.io/

It would be nice to know the budget for the project, maybe that way the developers can take a decision if join your project or if it's just a waste of time.
2470  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for script and web developer on: April 05, 2021, 04:48:01 PM
Hi all, I am looking for a web developer to make a web. My website needs to have a faucet, a lottery with various jackpots, a provably fair dice and a space to chat. Contact me here or by private message. Thank you in advance.

Interesting project mate, but you need more than a web developer for a project like this, you need a backend developer and a designer to build that casino.

The faucets can be exploited and is a risk to run them without the right knowledge.

To run a casino you need a curacao license (they aren't cheap at all) and to run all that stuff you need a decent vps to communicate the frontend with the coin, SQL and JS node...

I could build this kind of site with my team, please send me your budget and the ETA by personal message.
2471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Your Bitcoin Wallet Be Hacked? How Can You Secure It? on: April 05, 2021, 03:11:06 PM
I just read the full article, and i think you should change the name to 'What's a bitcoin wallet?' You spend a lot of lines talking about what is a bitcoin wallet, and only some words talking about if it can be hacked.

Any bitcoin wallet can be hacked, and if you have the most secure wallet software then your windows can be hacked, and that way the attacker could take your coins. Even if you don't have that computer online, someone can physically access that computer and take the coins.

So, any software is vulnerable nowadays.

6 Fake casino scams

A couple of years ago i got scammed on a fake casino, and I think this kind of scam should go to this list... Let me explain how it works.

I see a publication on this forum where a casino offers 0.01btc to test the casino, so I created my account and start playing, after 2 bets i win a huge amount of BTC, something like 3btc. And when I try to withdraw them, they ask me to make a depo to verify my account.

What I will never forget was the sensation, in my mind I was thinking, risk a 0.005 depo to withdraw 3btc worth it. And you can imagine what happened after that... So, I started a thread on the forum to report this kind of scam and at least that helped a lot of users here, here is the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5081286.0
2473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the any direct faucet pay to my wallet Instantly on: April 04, 2021, 04:31:45 PM
Bitcoin faucets are not a good option nowadays because the transaction fees are much bigger than what you get from the faucet. You should try with altcoins faucets. I will leave here my favorite one:

https://freebitcoins.com/faucet/

On this faucet you can get multiple altcoins and bitcoin too.

Another good option is to farm 'rains' from casino, those pay more than faucets, you should try it.
2474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoind - what is it doing? on: April 04, 2021, 04:13:39 PM
Hey guys, after reading your replies i just edited my post because you are right, killall can bring problems to the bitcoin core. It can corrupt the database and that will be a big problem.

It wasn't my intention to miss information the users, as you say, the right way to do this is with the stop command on bitcoin-cli.

Code:
./bitcoin-cli stop
2475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NFT's on Bitcoin, why is no one doing this on: April 04, 2021, 04:08:25 PM
With all these new chains popping up why aren't people just minting NFTs onto bitcoin directly?

To do this then you need to add smart contracts to bitcoin, and that will not happen.

The good news is you can make smart contracts with other coins like Cardano, Stellar, Tron, EOS... so, the NFT's aren't just for ETH. But since the platforms to sell the NFT's use ETH, then is the most common way to make them.

2477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The SOLUTION for Bitcoin’s Scalability problem on: April 02, 2021, 10:43:04 PM
I don't think a token is a solution... and if you really want to think AVa is the solution then you are wrong because AVA runs under ETH blockchain. So, if you see it that way then you mean ETH is the solution and not one of its multiple tokens.

If you want faster confirm coins, then you should look at dogecoin, which's a real coin and it has blocks each minute. And the transactions are really cheap too (1doge).
2478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chipotle free Bitcoin giveaway on: April 02, 2021, 05:56:25 PM
I got a 403 error when visiting the website so couldn't give this a try. Anyone else know? Or is this because of a location/geo restriction only for USA citizens?
Same here, when I open the site I get the same 403... And I'm thinking they only allow USA IP. and that's a wise move, they want to do marketing and give away money to other countries people is like wasting that marketing budget.

Always wondered how chipotle tastes like, see it on meme sites all the time (along with other US brands I never seen or tasted). Big news for Bitcoin as we go above 60k!
Chipotle tastes sweet and spicy, I would say the sweet part is what makes it different than another chili. There is a Mexican recipe called 'Albondigas', and they use chipotle for it, if you ever have the chance, try it because it tastes awesome.
2479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Converting Bitcoins? on: April 02, 2021, 05:49:53 PM
Ok so if I convert Bitcoin to Ethereum I know I will be taxed. If I convert Bitcoin to GUSD, will I also have to report that to the IRS so I will be taxed?

If you convert Bitcoin to ETH that shouldn't be taxed, the only moves that should be taxed are when you buy and sell cryptos for fiat.

In my country, if I spend $1000 in bitcoin, then it goes up and I withdraw $1100, I have to pay tax just for the profit, In other words, I have to pay 16% of $100. That's how it works here, you should read about how does it works in your country.
2480  Other / Meta / Re: Thank you from a fool (April fool I mean) on: April 02, 2021, 03:59:40 PM
Theymos jokes for April fool are always awesome, and i want to say thanks for this joke too... now when some one ask us 'When was the last time that you hold 1000btc?' we can say 'In 2021'  Cheesy

This one was one of my favorites, but I will never forget the avatars joke... When I joined to the forum avatars weren't allowed, but they get activated on April fool, and any user who uploads an image automatically gets this image as avatar:

And was fun to see all those sponge bob avatars. And was a nice introduction to that new feature. After the joke users were allowed to change their avatar and to keep them.
