2901  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk, as a financial institutes. on: September 21, 2020, 08:59:54 PM
Bitcointalk is a public forum (mainly created for opened discussions about bitcoin and crypto in general) where companies and freelancers can use it for advertisement and social management for their services. All the running services here, are not moderated by the forum policy.
Your point limits btt forum to be a platform dedicated for people that are financially unstable, which is not true.

I agree with you, not all the people here are financially unstable, some of them just want to find some new income sources.

Is important to mention how this forum means a business opportunity for all, here we can search for a job to do with bitcoin or to buy and sell things.

2903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: September 18, 2020, 10:45:04 PM
What happened to this coin?
I remember it price was very high  on Poloniex years ago, and it was possible to lend it.

It got delisted of poloniex... but before that, there was a flash crash that cost to the users $13M... It was one of those non-cheap lessons.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/poloniex-will-reimburse-135-million-loss-from-clams-flash-crash

But don't worry it's really easy to buy and sell on freebitcoins.com, on this nice exchange you only need a mail to create the account, so forget about KYC and get some easy clams now Wink
2904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: --- ChessCoin 0.32% --- PoS-based cryptocurrency... on: September 18, 2020, 10:31:00 PM
...

Their money supply is unlimited. So I don't think it is really worth staking this coin.
Would be hard to achieve a good value in the market.
And besides, no website, and what use case are they going to explore here?
If just staking, difficult to be valuable in the current market.
So many coins are sprouting everyday. So there's a lot of choice for traders to look at.

lol, then it sounds like a terrible coin... with infinite supply, without a page or a team to back it up with being impossible for them to make something from it.

I will keep an eye on the new staking coins, and after reading this commend form TT i will skip this coin, sound as a joke now.

Anyone can create a new fork, but that doesn0t mean the had to do it. If the new users want to fork a coin just to learn how to do it, that's fine, but please don't take that experiment as a valid new coin,
2905  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Proof of the ownership of BitCoins during a Divorce on: September 18, 2020, 10:06:43 PM
Really interesting discussion , I’ve been watching this thread closely. This is something a lot of people will be thinking about. I really do hope the OP comes back to look at her post as she hasn’t been back on the forum since starting the thread - 4 days now !

Same here, i like to keep an eye on this one to see how it goes.

We must remember one fundamental law on this scenario:

Quote
Not your keys, not your coins.

The guy could easily say the coins got hacked and avoid paying the part to the wife, maybe in the legal way both are the owners of the coins, but in a logical way, the one who has the private keys is the only one who can spend those coins.
2906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: --- ChessCoin 0.32% --- PoS-based cryptocurrency... on: September 18, 2020, 09:51:23 PM
So, where can we get some of these coins to start staking?

You say is a hardfork, but you don't mention from what coin it was forked. It would be nice to know to see who are the coin holders. And if you can share with us the official site of the coin, that would be awesome.

The last time i did staking was some years ago with clam coin, and i'm waiting to find another nice coin for this but with a decent revenue. Maybe this is the one, i will keep an eye on it.
2907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Question about my PC for mining on: September 18, 2020, 09:46:15 PM
There is no chance to mine with that hardware, if you want to try it as a sport and not as a business, the configure your pc with a doge mining pool, that way you will understand how is it done and why isn't good business to do it with a normal pc.

Some coins can be mined only with Video card, but to make a profit with them you need a rack of video cards to get a decent hash power, it would look something like this:

So to be crear, it's possible but with the electric bill will be much higher than what you get of mining profit.
2908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why government Don't kill btc? on: September 18, 2020, 05:50:44 PM
Thay can just kill bitcoin because bitcoin is decentralized, that means an individual, an organization or a gov can't kill it. The only way to do this is if all of us just stop using it. But if a government makes it illegal that means the other countries should be able to use it.

If all govs makes it illegat then it will become illegal but that doesn't mean people will stop using it, it will be like drug dealing.

So the answer is, govs don't kill bitcoin because they cant.
2909  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT ★★★ The legend is back! ★★★ Bigger and better than ever! ★★★ on: September 18, 2020, 05:06:54 PM
hey nice promotion of new players you can't find any casino who's offering this $20 on their website also that's a huge amount and have a huge chance on winning on plinko. i hope users would not abuse this so it would.

Don't worry, Luckybit has a security team to lock the accounts who are cheating, they already detect tons of users trying to abuse so, is important to mention it, Luckybit has zero-tolerance against abusers.

By the way, the $20 no depo bonus starts in 1 hour, don't miss it!.
2910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why mixers? on: September 17, 2020, 03:33:53 PM
That's why you use mixers. Good mixers will completely break the chain between inputs and outputs.

Why are mixers legal? The only purpose I find on them is to money launder. They are literally useless if you don't have anything to hide.

I was thinking as you mate, why mixers still legal?

The exchanges have to send the bitcoin back if they come from a hack but why no one says the same for Mixers? Those are money laundering machines and no gov is interested in stopping them.

Maybe governments are ignorant and they don't know a tool like this exists. That's why they are not getting banned yet. But they will not live forever.
2911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deadliest Bitcoin hack in history on: September 17, 2020, 03:28:51 PM
My first question is... Why 92M?

The hacker didn't play it smart, it makes it just to prove there was a flaw and not with the intention of making money, because another way he could manage a low profile creating coins 1 by 1, that way will be harder for the users to realize there was a bug.

Thanks to Satoshi for fixing this issue ^_^
2912  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: September 16, 2020, 09:05:16 PM
When i have time i go to local market to check prices

Vegetable prices doubled
Fruit prices doubled
Meat prices around 30% increase
Grain products around 20% increase
...

And my country is a exporter of food products

How is it in your country ? Same ?

30% isn't de double at all...

Here in my country the food prize went up un the first half of the year, but the problem was the distribution, since it was the start of the virus then all the distribution companies take a break, and that bring chaos to the prizes.

The most affected market was the beer, people were paying 4 times the real price of it. But now all come back to normal.
2913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 16, 2020, 04:26:31 PM
Is the first time i read about skill games, but i don't like at all how it sounds. If it's based in the skills then the code can the big bets lose and the small ones win, but taking always the house edge in advantage. This doesn't sound provably fair to me, that's why i prefer the classical slots.

Is there any skill games site for bitcoin?
2914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: USDT wallet on: September 16, 2020, 03:48:03 PM
Hi. I wanna get started with USDT. Can someone please guide me which is best wallet in terms of security n usage ?

Since USDT is an ERC token it has a transaction cost (fuel) and is not recommended to move it on transactions, the right way to use it is by buying and selling on the exchange. If you want to save dollars then do it with real money and not with cripto, but if you want to trade and buy and sell all the time, the use USDT, that way you avoid the bank each time you sell the bitcoins.
2915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India looking to Re-ban Bitcoin on: September 16, 2020, 03:34:44 PM
Lol, is the never-ending game, not only India... Rusia and China have the same mixed feelings about bitcoin, some days they love it and the next day will try to ban it. We can call them bipolar countries.

Is important to mention India is having some big conflicts with china right now, so, that war tension should be one of the reasons.

2917  Economy / Gambling / Re: copie bets in dice sites on: September 16, 2020, 01:42:39 AM
To be clear, the pro users not always win, they lose too, and to be more clear, there is no a method who works for the long run,  is all about luck, that's how it works.

High rollers usually chase big multipliers with big bets, that's why when they win they drain the casinos, but need to win big multiple times to make a big profit. The problem with this is that not anyone can place big bets for the long run, try to hit x10,000 with 0.01 btc, and let's see how many rolls you can hold. So, maybe they can copy the strategy, but without the right bankroll they will not win big as the high rollers (or pro bettors) do.

This year i learned a big lesson about dice... it's a strategy game, we must change the betting method on the run because the same method will got us after tons of bets.

2919  Economy / Marketplace / Re: KnC Titan Mining Box, need advice. on: September 15, 2020, 11:18:13 PM
Hello bitcointalk community!

I had no idea where to post this, so don't be angry if i missclick please.

I have 6-9 boxes of KnC Titanum Miners with controller chip and raspberry pi connector.

The question: is it worth anything? And if it do, how much it is? I can't put it on ebay to find out, i'm sorry.

After searching on the internet i was able just to find this old video from 2013 where you can see the KnC miner and it's mining power: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qip6qDbToG0

The power of that miner is 500GH/s... so, make them work would be a waste of time and money because make it work has a high cost, much more than what you can win with it, so, that makes it worthless.

To make you have an idea, the new miners have more than 9TH/s, that's 9000GH/s... so, this is close to 20 times more powerful with the same energy consumption.

If you want to learn more about your miners, then post on mining > hardware section:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0

And if you want to sell them you can try in the next link:

2920  Other / Off-topic / Re: Please reply Mr. Satoshi Nakamoto on: September 15, 2020, 11:04:03 PM
If the last time we have logged was in 2010, what makes you think he will open his account just to reply to this thread? i have bad news for you, that will not happen because the only way to stay anonymous is to stay away from internet and social networks.

If satoshi will join again to the forum then will be for a critical message, or warn us about bitcoin, but not just to say hi.
