281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a Morning Routine have any Effect as a Day Trader? on: July 01, 2023, 07:55:51 PM
Do you have a morning routine as a day trader? I find
that  whenever I follow my morning routine before trading, my focus is unbeatable in the charts and analysis. I usually wake up by 6am and start with cardio or just walk my dog. Next is a light breakfast. Eating light meals is essential because I won't feel very heavy and dull. And on some days, depending on how I feel, I skip breakfast totally for some homemade juice. I repeat my mantra several times ," today is already a great day." After which I go to my computer and start trading. On somedays I make good profits on some other days, I don't. Overall, my morning routine keeps me mentally prepared to face the day. Kindly share some of your morning routine before trading.
I just go for a little exercise just to sweat it out and release all my life’s insanities so I can see a more wholesome self and more life’s positivity. That’s a good start for the day. And I do eat breakfast with a little sip of beverage or coffee as I get used to it every morning. And one most important thing I do consider before trading, I never trade when I’m in doubts or troubled. I know I can only focus on my trades if I am surrounded by good vibes that will motivate myself more to trade successfully and end up with significant profits.
Actually trading or not on that day, the morning routine should always be done. For me it's not a need to trade, but a need for my health.

For example, every morning I exercise either in a relatively short or longer time, that is my need to be able to maintain my health. However, if it is related to the trading activities that we do, it will also have an effect, because when we do morning routines such as exercise it will make us fresher.

I occasionally don't wake up early and wake up late, and that really makes my body uncomfortable, unlike when doing my morning routine.

Starting a day with a good morning routine could help us focus on our daily activities and do them optimistically. I have tried trading with a bad morning mood, I haven't had my breakfast or even done any exercise but I went straight to my computer, and the result wasn't good as I wasn't able to concentrate.
For me, either morning or evening, we should trade with a positive mind and be sure to be well prepared mentally and physically. Trading needs further focus because it includes analysis and deep understanding. As much as possible, we must try to avoid doing it when we're too emotional or having a bad day as it might affect our critical thinking and decision-making.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How is your Gambling Pattern Like? on: July 01, 2023, 06:37:02 PM
Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling? If you enjoy sports betting, do you bet on games throughout the week whenever they're available? When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble?
I bet mostly on weekends when I am free or when there are games that interest me. Most of my gambling experience since after Covid 19 is online. But I have a specific casino I visit offline. I have a good relationship with the owner so I always want to visit occasionally.

Quote
As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods? And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere? I may have missed other aspects, but these questions should suffice for now. I look forward to reading your thoughts and comments.
I don't handle my gambling life that formally. I don't see it as a formal venture that needs comprehensive record-keeping. I might have records of my bets based on the records I get from my account, but I don't put any extra effort to document them. The environment doesn't also really matter to me, but I will prefer a situation that will make me concentrate. But having soft and meaningful music in the background will not be a bad idea. But if there is no sound, it's still okay.

I also don't keep records either as I don't want to be reminded of my losses and just feel unsatisfied about what my gambling journey has gone through. I prefer gambling whenever I'm free without no distractions and of course, if I'm well conditioned emotionally and physically.
I also prefer gambling in a good environment where I can concentrate so I can easily make good decisions. We all know that background noise might destruct our concentration and we could be out of focus. That's why the weekend would be best for it preferably every evening where there will be no disturbances at all.
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: July 01, 2023, 12:54:33 PM
~snip~
You wouldnt really be having the feeling of regret once you do accept your fate on the time that you do gamble. It is really just that a matter of acceptance on how things goes and since we've been dealing with gambling then it would really be just that normal that we would really be losing most of the time and this is something that you should really be aware about so that you wouldnt really be making yourself that impulsive and trying out to chase up your losses. Only allocate on the money or funds which you could really afford to lose and dont go into a certain extent on which you would really be
that believing that you could really be able to win up games most of the time because thats not how reality works. The only thing that you should really be that minding is not to make yourself that get
addicted into it because on the time that you do get addicted then its not really something easy to get out on such thing and this is where most people do fail on doing so, this is why you should really be that careful.
There's some serious wisdom in your words. Acceptance of the gambling process, and the losses that often come with it, is indeed a mature approach. But remember, acceptance doesn't mean complacency. We can still seek to improve our game, can't we?

Imagine you're trying to cross a river. You could accept that you might get swept away...or you could learn to swim. The same goes for gambling: losses might be part of the game, but that doesn't mean we can't fight the current.

As for your remarks on addiction... Yes, it's a beast to fight off once it sinks its teeth in. But I believe in people's ability to change. And I firmly agree with your gentle warning about the dangers of becoming too engrossed. After all, the journey is more enjoyable when you're not dragging a ball and chain behind you, right?

If we like what we're doing then the journey shouldn't end in quitting. Losing is always part of gambling but we should be wise in dealing with it as that's part of the risks that we're taking. To lose never means to quit.
We can rest and stop for a while to condition our minds but we can also look for alternative and effective strategies for us to enjoy our journey more.
It is given that there will only be two results but we should know how to play the game of gambling. It will take us into a roller coaster ride of emotions so we must be prepared emotionally.
As long as we're not experiencing gambling addiction, then we must enjoy what we do. Losing might discourage us but it shouldn't be a reason for us to hate what we are doing but rather a motivation for us to seek good strategies.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: July 01, 2023, 11:27:34 AM
Yes, whenever I experienced losses from gambling, I will promise myself never to bet next day but some games will come up that will make me to go back to betting next day because I understood the two teams very well and I know the team that will win at the end of the match. Since then,  I don't promise myself to stop gambling when am loosing money than to force myself to stop gamble that very day and continue the next day, and the next day will be a better day that will make me to smile to recover all the losses I experienced. I don't think, it is easy to leave gambling when you have achieved so much money from it, but I can take a break from gambling for one or two days before continuing gamble.

Yes, it isn't easy to leave gambling especially if you're regularly seeing gambling ads and hearing news about your favorite upcoming team matches. It's hard to resist if we have a huge interest in certain games.
The same thing also happened to me. I have been unlucky and decided not to gamble for a short while but I still couldn't control my urge to bet at least occasionally. We can rest but if it has been a part of our routine, I don't think quitting will be easy. However, it is challenging and I believe it's also normal to stop for a while after we experienced losses which I think is a good time to take a break and rest so we'll be more emotionally prepared for our next gambling adventures.
285  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management on: June 30, 2023, 09:45:26 PM
We all know this as a trader. But how well can you follow your well-written risk management plan determines your result. It doesn't matter how much you know managing funds, it all lies down on how are you able to follow it. Not only that we have money or fund. We also have mental capital which we also preserve. If we lose this, we can't expect ourselves to perform well in front of the charts. It's not only the monetary value, but the psychological value of the risk involved.
Even if one doesn't have enough experience in the market, trading, and risk-management techniques, one can learn about how they can manage their trades along with risk-management techniques so that they can avoid facing excessive losses, because risk-management might not be able to completely save you from losses but it will minimize your losses just like how stop-loss works in not letting your trade going too deep in loss and sells the asset immediately.

So one should obviously practice risk-management techniques before they enter the market so that if a trade they made didn't go the way they expected it to go, the techniques applied save them from facing excessive losses or getting their capital or a part of it stuck in a single trade.
They should always have a back up plan for everything , every time I am doing something I have a plan B and C not because I am expecting that my plans will fail but I want to lessen the risk that I will be encountering once it is failed. Crypto is very volatile so it is not very easy not to have risk management , they should know at least how to use TP and SL.

Applying at least the basics will help even if you're just a beginner. You can't actually do trading perfectly in the beginning and there will surely be challenges that the market brings and your experiences on dealing with these problems will help you adjust and be better as you go on with your trading journey.
It's a long process of learning and you have to be sure that you have the complete willingness to learn because even it teading professionals undergo a continuous learning process.
The trading challenge that we will all be facing is the volatility of the market. We should focus how we could take emadvantage of every market situation.
286  Economy / Economics / Re: How billionaires are really affecting the economy. on: June 30, 2023, 07:01:02 PM
According to my observations, billionaires have a strong impact on the direction of starting a business, focusing on the motive of making money in parallel with the search for high added value at all levels. Their contributions are impressive, and the dynamism and competition of this bloc have created pressure to change the way the state sector does business. So no one can deny their real business talent. Society needs to recognize, cherish, and appreciate such entrepreneurial talent. Otherwise, we will stifle the momentum of society. Besides, these billionaires inspire young people to strive. That is good news because the very emergence of this class creates pressure to promote social capacity reforms to meet that need. These reforms bring mutual benefits, like fragrance, and spread values to the whole society.

Billionaires play a vital role in the society. They are actually one of the foundations of the economy. They provide jobs and they support the government through their taxes. They are the strongest support of businesses in each country. Without them, the economy will surely have a hard time surviving different tests of time. No wonder why they are always treated better by the government because they are actually the life support of the economy.
I agree that they are also the inspiration and motivation of the younger generation even the us, adults. Everyone wants to be billionaires and they should really be our role models since they're successful in their own fields.
287  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: June 30, 2023, 06:34:45 PM

Casinos are out for business and would never allow all gamblers to win the house edge using AI. The moment the casino noticed this, they will also get an AI that will counter the gamblers game to make sure that they still stay profitable as usual. It is human that generates AI,so it will also be easy for casinos to get their own AI which will favor the house edge. A gambler can never be smarter than the casino, that is why we find it difficult to have 5 straight wins. Casinos are into business and will never allow a gambler to kick them out of business.
The thing is that, despite all the hype that has surrounded the development of AI it has not still been proven its success in gambling and how possible have their AI involvement been able to aid players' success in games.

There is no doubt the truth that casinos are out for business so, at that, there will have a system in place that will help them to overcome such attacks as AI involvement.
One reason why don't really give much attention to hype, stuffs are always in their fake version when their hype is on, that is, everything, or almost everything is always not as it seems or as it is said to be, it is when the hype dies down that we get to now what exactly is in the hood..

You are about casinos being out here for business, it is the same thing I've always said that Ai can not take online gambling casinos out of business, there is always room left for improvements and advancement, if at any point in time, casinos discover they could unjustly lose money in a game due to Ai participation in the game, they will sure know the right thing to do to make sure the game remain fair to them and to the players.

Many gamblers are now relying on AIs because of the hype but there are still no consistent winning testimonies that exist regarding their experiences. AIs have an edge when it comes to advanced technology services but they can't still surpass human intelligence.
However, we can't disregard the fact that if they would be more developed in the future, they could still be used successfully and effectively in gambling but in case that happens, I'm sure that casinos won't allow it and they will put restrictions on any proven gambling activities involving AIs for they will not allow anything that will beat the house edge.
288  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loophole in stopping Money Laundering through Wagering on: June 29, 2023, 10:48:45 PM
Casinos may try to investigate the accounts of gamblers who use big money and ask them to verify them to make sure they are not involved with money laundering. And I think money launderers can still do it because they have many ways, and gambling is not the only place to launder money. If they see that it is difficult to launder money in casinos, they will use other methods so that their activities can continue as usual. And they will keep gambling if they like to gamble, and maybe they will verify their account with the help of other people. Someone experienced in the field knows what to do when a road is closed.

That's the reason why casinos would ask for KYC to track and secure the safety and legitimacy of each transaction. The wagering requirement is actually their strategy just so players would bet more funds before the withdrawal process.
I agree that launderers will still find ways to transact or play with the funds that they have stolen.
There are plenty of ways to use their laundered money and if their illegal activity could be tracked by such casinos, they will surely find other methods to pursue their activity no matter how secure a casino is. Launderers already know how to play the game and I'm that they also know what to avoid.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino on a cruise ship? on: June 29, 2023, 10:26:48 PM
I've never had this kind of experience yet but I'd love to experience this in the future if I would have a chance. I have only seen it in movies before and it seems like a promising experience. The experience of being on a cruise ship is already memorable so playing a casino on it would be a remarkable experience for sure.
I think only huge ships would operate 24/7 casino or they will mostly have limitations for this unless their cruise service is just meant for casino gaming. Rich people who prefer having cruise ship experience will surely get attracted to it as it could provide a different experience rather than the traditional physical casinos.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet on live game or while game hasn't started yet? on: June 29, 2023, 10:10:56 PM
There is a lot of advantages and disadvantages in pre match and live. Live can be good but mostly you cannot hit really big odds but it is usefull because you can watch the match and see how it goes and make easier predictions. In pre match you need to analyse the match and hope that they start well like you expect them but you can hit a really higher odd

I have tried betting on a pre-match and I've had a smaller chance of winning as per my experience. I wasn't able to analyze and provide an appropriate prediction as the whole match might change during the live.
I think it will be easier to make accurate predictions while the match is ongoing so you'll have a complete idea about the status of the players that day. There's a better assurance when it comes to prediction so the chances of winning are higher. However, the result would still usually rely on our luck. We can bet early or during the live match and win if we're lucky that day or vice versa.
291  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Salamat sa Bitcointalk forum on: June 28, 2023, 05:59:20 PM
292  Economy / Economics / Re: How we survive food shortages on: June 28, 2023, 05:18:26 PM
Then it looks that there is no food shortage, but the problem is in poverty and food availability. Every time I visit market and food stores, I see no food shortages there. Shelves are always full with food. I only observe different food range and availability, but this is mainly due to increased delivery cost. I cant say there is no food shortage, there is always an alternative. Maybe we had a period when we have problem with amount of food we get in shops, but imho that was caused due to covid and restrictions on working places. Fewer workers, decreased production. Now we are facing consequences of it and will be having them for few years. Imho in few years everything gonna get normalized or balanced as it was in past.
I have only witnessed food shortages during the pandemic season because people were panic buying and hoarding goods so it was hard for us to look for foods that we need. After the pandemic, I've never seen food shortages anymore. I agree that the reason might be poverty. Foods are actually present everywhere, it's just that some people lack money to sustain their necessities including primary goods.
However, the possibility of experiencing food shortages might still happen in the future so it is better if we know how to look for alternatives like planting from our backyards, storing non-perishable goods, and more. We still need to be prepared for the possible challenges that might come our way.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: June 28, 2023, 04:59:09 PM
We have those that are good at picking the team that'll win and that's why they open this groups to help those who don't have the time to research on the sport they want to bet on. What they're doing isn't hard to do yourself but since you don't have the experience you won't win.
A sports bettor would consider themselves fortunate if they could find a group that provides consistently winning bets. Some refer to these groups as paid groups, where individuals pay a premium to receive calls from so-called experts. However, relying solely on such groups is not the recipe for long-term success. While they may deliver short-term wins, as ambitious gamblers, we should strive for long-term success and understand that we can ultimately only rely on ourselves.

I certainly agree, most of these groups are just providing predictions and assistance for them to make money but there's o guarantee that they could provide a continuous winning result. They will only provide short-term wins just so they could gain the trust of their subscribers and followers but they aren't really reliable in the long run because if they could be successful in such a field, they don't have to create groups to make money and they will just focus on gambling applying their strategies and always expect positive results.
It will be better if we will be kowledgable of what we do so we don't have to rely on others. We better do our own research and test the possible effective strategies that we can apply without wasting funds on betting groups.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's find out which gambling game is the most played among our community... on: June 28, 2023, 04:34:25 PM
I used to play slots, poker, roulette and blackjack before but I'm getting really hooked to sportsbetting these days. Football isn't that popular in our country but I got interested on it. Reading topics about it on this forum really caught my interest and learned about it two years ago. I have searched about winning and potential teams and used to bet on them based on my own analysis through doing research. I find it more challenging and I could feel luckier in it than in traditional gambling games but often times, when I have lots of free time, I still focus on playing poker since I find it challenging. I'm sure that we can't still stay away from traditional games that have been part of our daily routines.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ads for online gambling should be banned. on: June 28, 2023, 04:07:12 PM
If this should be implemented will it affect bitcointalk casinos? As we all know most established and new casinos come to bitcointalk to launch their ANN thread and carry out signature promotion campaigns which can be regarded as ads in a sense. If ads should be banned will their promotion in Bitcointalk also end?
in the title of the article alone, you'll already know that the gambling ban will only be in Australia, not sure why you thought this would affect gambling casinos that advertise here in the forum.

anyway, I am still glad they are taking steps on trying to prevent the younger generation from being too exposed to gambling.

With the developing technology that we have right now, online advertisement is the best marketing strategy that casinos businesses could do and it is visible on all types of social media platforms and popular sites. We can't get rid of them because they are even present in some TV ads. The best thing that we can do is to guide and advise the younger generation about the risks of gambling addiction.
We should still do our part as adults in reminding the younger generation just so they wouldn't get attracted to gambling ads. I don't think signature campaigns should be banned because we're on the right platform to do it. Most of us here are adults and are aware of how gambling works. Gambling promotions here are appropriate since they won't affect most gamblers negatively especially now that topics about gambling addictions are already existing on this forum.
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your rate in betting base on odds alone? on: June 27, 2023, 10:24:53 PM

I like to think the latter when it comes to live games because the game is already in session and although its hard for them to manipulate the odds then but there is still the fact that anything can happen in that game that can alter your predictions and make you lose that bet and moreover life bet makes you spend more money since you will have to stake the game huge cash to actually guaranteed any good returns and don't even start by telling me you bet for fun because you will definitely like to win and not the opposite.
Yes anything can happen even during the live games and it all depends on the luck factor on the side of the gambler because there is nothing like sure predictions and at that, all our analyses still depend on luck to win,  I have lost a couple of live games but if the ratio between my loses and winning put together I think I have won more than I lose in a live game.

But on the ability for the odd to get manipulated on and at that the gambler is at the advantage of easy prediction and actual payout since the odds will remain the same all through the games.

The result will always be unpredictable because unexpected things usually happen but if you're continuously losing, then you might lack strategy. You must learn how to analyze the game or even search for the players' previous game histories so you would have an idea of where to bet. Despite the unexpected result, you could still have an advantage through research.
If you're planning to accumulate and invest more in Bitcoin, I don't think it will be wise to wait for your luck in gambling. I guess it will be best if you'll have a separate allocation for investing and gambling so that in case you fail in gambling, you'll still have enough preparation when the bullish season approaches. Waiting for your luck just so you'll have funds for investing in Bitcoin will not give you any assurance of good profit in the future.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 27, 2023, 10:06:01 PM
Well, perhaps some casinos will allow people to bet because people might see it as a competition that will be interesting to bet on. Perhaps, this bet will be an event for both of them to get more fans. And people looking to place a bet on either of the two are sure to find out who has the potential to win. It might be a sensational gamble this year if it works Grin

It's better to watch both of them and not bet on either one because we can bet on something else we like more.
Use good time to calm my nerves for the big game ahead. Of course, casinos will enable for betting, making and printing more money from players' pockets; others regard it as a good opportunity to gamble and stack up their earnings. It's time to start incorporating my statistics on the tight fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. I would favor Elon because he is the richest man in the world; he may be obese in bodily structure, but I believe he has all the winning characteristics in a ring where both prominent billionaires would face one other; however, it will be a fair fight.

Casinos will surely benefit from it. Putting a huge competition between two influential and rich people will definitely catch the attention of most bettors. I wonder what the basis is but between them, it is undoubtedly that Elon has all the assets and must be considered the richest guy but character-wise, I think the flavor would go to Zuckerberg.
It seems like the fight would be between Meta and Twitter and I must say that they're both successful in handling their created platforms but I think since Elon has an advantage when it comes to funding, he's more successful in this field. If there would be lots of basis in choosing among them, then we'll have a confusion of who to choose but if we'll base things on their wealth, Elon has an edge.
298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Luck is what you need in gambling but you have to get to work with trading on: June 25, 2023, 04:38:36 PM
It is important for oneself to conclude that luck can be today and not be tomorrow. And we want stable results. So, it is better to pay attention to learning and experience than to hope for luck.

Both genuinely involve certain risks, so luck is still required. However, if we have the right knowledge and skills in technical analysis and know how to handle market volatility, the risks associated with trading may be bearable. We can use precise, well-known techniques when gambling, yet the outcome generally depends on luck.
When we trade with a thorough grasp of what we are doing, we can reduce the risk and have confidence in the outcome, but when we gamble, even with thorough research, especially in sports betting, the outcome will always be uncertain. We can do both things at the same time but we must be willing to learn how to properly deal with their risks of else there's a huge possibility that we could lose all our funds with just one wrong move.
299  Economy / Economics / Re: Fast Transportation Makes Economic Turnover Faster on: June 25, 2023, 04:08:01 PM
The article above shows a video about a pizza delivery that was carried out by Dominos using a jet pack. that's why I was inspired to make this topic

do you all agree that with the emergence of fast transportation now, the economic turnover is also getting faster, this is based on the fact that any delivery will be distributed quickly, automatically it will make the price of living necessities and kind remains stable as long as it can be distributed quickly!
It is an obvious fact, one of the factors that helps the economy to grow rapidly, without too much complexity when looking at things going on in life around us, if anyone has used to order technology cars, or deliver food online,... these things are now becoming quite important not only to solve the problem of time but also to meet new professions in society. Not only that when it comes to larger trade issues, like food and minerals, they are meant to provide a global operating system.
With fast transportation, it will cut costs and not take up much time in distribution,
and it makes the economy grow fast like you said,
we have to look at it broadly because the benefits of fast transportation certainly cannot be assessed from one side.

Fast transportation has a huge impact on the economy as it helps businesses succeed and reach their target profit easily. It could also keep a good record and trust rate for a certain business as they provide convenience to their consumers. In our country, the transportation has been an issue. Traffic is worse in where we live and commuters are having a hard time dealing with it making them unproductive at work because of waking up too early and travelling for hours because of traffic jam that they encounter daily. This has been affecting the productivity of the employees in manufacturing and other forms of businesses. The problem here aren't the vehicles but the traffic regulations and the never ending road issues. Even delivery services here are also experiencing a huge challenge. If the government would smartly handle this issue, I think the transportation here wouldn't be a problem. It is already affective our economy negatively for years so I hope things would still get better in the future.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a trap? on: June 25, 2023, 03:53:41 PM
I've never heard of a bear trap. I've heard of bear season or bull season. But what has happened in crypto trading is what cannot be predicted. There is no theory about how the market will move. But I am not a market analyst. Let me know if what I have thought was a mistake.

I don't think it's a trap because changes like this usually happens and is a part of the market's volatility. We have to deal with the bearish and the bullish season and it's up to us to handle it emotionally. If you feel like you're being trapped them focus on holding as the prices would bring you a roller coaster ride of emotions. Just continue holding or just take advantage of the market situation and accumulate potential coins while you're in fear. Often times, we mistakenly thought of the correction period as the bullish trend but in fact, it is normal for the market to face the recovery period. The crypto market is unpredictable so we must expect indefinite changes all the time and must be well prepared to deal with its volatility.
