1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's faceless identity is the greatest Bitcoin success strategy on: July 23, 2022, 05:56:50 PM

I really bet to disagree with your point. Bitcoin too can be called centralized in this context. Satoshi Nakamoto holds 1 Million bitcoins, which is roughly 5% of the total supply of bitcoins as it is 21 Million. This actually is too much and enough to actually call this coin centralized as well. Infact some other cryptocurrencies have even less promoter holding than this. But yes the only advantage here is that one the creator is anonymous and secondly it has not moved even a single penny from what the holds so far which indicates bitcoin is quite safe to hold and obviously much better than the rest.
Satoshi Nakamoto Bitcoin holding is actually more than 1 million as you mentioned, and no bits have been used since the bitcoin was locked in Satoshi's wallets. But no one knows if Satoshi still has access to the wallet holding the coins.
I think this is pretty stupid to think that because he hasn't moved a single bitcoin from his address he might have lost the private key. There are huge chances he has some other wallet as well which we people aren't aware of and is enough for him to do his daily transactions and he is just keeping his bitcoin locked for the right time moreover he knows even a slightest of movement from his vault will attract huge attention from throughout the world so he might also not be doing this because of this.
Years have passed and no transaction is made from that specific wallet. This increases the trust over the network, because a transaction made from the particular wallet will surely make disturbance in the market. In specific the network might loss it's feature of functioning without lying on someone's decision.
Lots of investors are watching keenly in every Shatoshi's possible move and the fact that no transactions are being done to his wallets, more people are trusting the reputation of the Butcoin creator. His private identity won't make people question things about him and just focus on the importance of Bitcoin in our current society. I believe that it's one reason why Satoshi kept his real identity.
1202  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You should not worry about BTC price action on: July 23, 2022, 05:30:58 PM
The type of investor that will be successful is not panic when looking at the price of drops, this is precisely a good opportunity to buy at a low price, I'm sure many are sorry not to buy bitcoin when the price is $ 19k and now the price is more than $ 23k and I'm sure tomorrow or The day after tomorrow the price of Bitcoin will reach $ 25K, so it's not too late if we immediately buy and get a price of $ 23K.

Many of us are losing the opportunity to maximize our gains because of the fear of buying during the bear season and not seeing it as a chance to accumulate while the price is still down. They only feel regretful when the prices strike high and when the market recovers. If that happened to us before, we should've taken it as a lesson already and we should have an idea on how to deal with the market.
1203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your bag when you can on: July 23, 2022, 04:31:27 PM
Panicking during the bear season is normal but if we have already seen how Bitcoin survived the previously bearish market and hit a good price during the bull run, we should trust its capability to resist this season again. I wonder why there are still people who are questioning Bitcoin's potential when in fact, it already reached lots of achievements and milestones.
those who still question the potential of bitcoin certainly do not understand how bitcoin works, how bitcoin can reach its current price. Even though it is clear that Bitcoin is the highest coin or the most valuable digital asset. Bitcoin returns for long term investments are incredible. A bear market has become a common event, behind a bear market will appear a bull market that is coming soon. So better hold your bag tight and don't let it loose, we're still going to the moon.
It is a question to those who think that Bitcoin is still a scam thing. I'm not going to wonder why many still have doubts despite the fact that Bitcoin has been tested many times already. It is actually our mindset differs from others, some people hold their Bitcoin because they believe and trust it while some people remain doubtful. This will imply that Holding is really hard for those who don't want to change their beliefs and minds but I don't bother myself to correct them because that was their opinion.
Those who still question the potential of Bitcoin are those who didn't experience gaining profit from it and those who didn't research it. They only see it as a currency yet they don't know its real function and importance. They can also be those people who have a wrong mindset towards Bitcoin investment. Those who want to get rich instantly and failed because of wrong expectations.
1204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 23, 2022, 03:59:42 PM
As long  you dont hurt others or making yourself hurt or something in between two then i dont see anything wrong with it.People are just too judgemental on what others been doing.

I also don't understand why other people are taking things seriously if someone uses the art of Fengshui in gambling.

After all, these people that use lucky stuff take care of their bankroll. Why other people should bother with that?

Correct. Let's just mind our own business and let these people just do what they want.
The point stated above as long as you don't hurt anyone and you are not hurt is very important and that is something I have been thinking recently.

I have seen people who don't minding hurting people emotionally, mentally or financially and physically and that is something which I have gone through - emotional and financial loss - and I alway think in a free time about what people have done to me.

If Fengshui or any traditional belief helps people succeed in gambling or if it gives them more confidence to enjoy the game, I see nothing wrong with it. We always have the freedom to choose and I guess people who believe in Fenshui find it as an effective strategy to win. We have different beliefs and we could always apply what's effective for us.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If There's No Casino Signature Will The Gambling Board Still Be The Same on: July 23, 2022, 03:28:21 PM
It wouldn't have the same number of posts but the interactions will still be the same. We all know that along with crypto investment, gambling is one of the reasons why there are lots of people who are into crypto. Topics here are interesting and some active players want to keep updated with the current gambling events so we can't question the activeness of this forum. Most of us are also into crypto sports and we could only find updates in the gambling section.
1206  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano ang plano niyo ngayong bear market? on: July 22, 2022, 07:19:20 PM

Tama!

1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin recover even if it fell to one dollar? on: July 22, 2022, 05:46:33 PM
If Bitcoin downtrend to 1 dollar I believe it will recover which I believe will never happen now that's getting the attention of the institution because the price is not the reason why Bitcoin survive even when the government planned to stop it. Bitcoin survives and gets the support of people because of its truly decentralization, consensus, and no censorship.
The time these things are removed with the inclusion of block halving is the season Bitcoin will never recover crash

Don't know why we discuss these baseless things like these. Bitcoin can never reach one dollar and if it reached one dollar, it would mean that it going to zero and dead.

Yes, bitcoin may dump to 5000$ to 10000$ and still reach to its all time high again. Although i think that bitcoin may never reach these low values.

We're already aware that Bitcoin's previous value based on the history was lower than $1 and it emerged and developed until it reached it's current value so I wonder why people are still doubting and fearing until now. Bitcoin has a huge foundation and even though it dumps, it could still recover and stand firm again.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: July 22, 2022, 05:02:17 PM
I could say that listening to the advice of the majority here in the forum is a hold idea. Don't feel bad if you haven't won bigger because you didn't borrow funds but at the least, you will not face the risk of borrowing. Gambling is risky and using borrowed money to gamble might cause you a bigger problem in the future so it's better to get rid of it.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: July 22, 2022, 04:01:19 PM
I understand that there's a rematch clause, however, I think this fight will only make Kambasos look worst because in the first fight, it was like a walk in the park for Haney. Well, I'm not underestimating Kambasos, but Haney is just too strong and too quick for him. If Kambasos will try to be more aggressive, I think this will happen "Devin Haney KO/TKO".

If Kambosos will not prepare well for this match, he could possibly face another defeat. He should learn how to counter Haney's strategy and should be more aggressive this time because, to be honest, Haney could easily get wild in the ring. Kambosos must find ways to know the weaknesses of Haney only if he wants to win this rematch. It will be too challenging for Kambosos to face Haney again.
1210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bounty on: July 21, 2022, 07:08:26 PM
Experience is great teacher, just go on join some bounty, eventually you should be able to judge better.
Heh you can say that again.

After a few first months of bubbling enthusiasm, the frustration of delayed payments and then eventual ghosting by the teams or learning that the project was a scam - gives the ideal dosage of teaching. Reading this from other people makes little difference unless you are the one experiencing it and hence the best form of experience.

The worst part is realizing that the team used your naivety to generate hype for their scam or shitcoin and then ignored your payments as if you are unpaid laborer.

It's really frustrating that after doing your best to perform the tasks being asked by the bounty manager, you won't receive the payment that you're expecting for a long time. There are red flags that you have to check on and hints so you'll know if a bounty is shady. It's better to have an idea whether a bounty is legit or not from the beginning, than waste your time and effort for nothing.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: July 21, 2022, 05:37:53 PM
I think its great that someone like Elon musk is backing crypto, and yes he has personal interest in Dodge, but overall his support has provided positivity to crypto ecosystem. I think he is increasing his stake in crypto because he has clarity that future of crypto is bright and he also wants to be on the front seat of the crypto bus.

His statement that attracts investors will also benefit him since he has a huge investment in crypto. Elon focuses on making more profit in crypto because he sees it as another opportunity to become richer. Elon's mindset only focuses on making money regardless of negative feedback from other investors. I'm sure that he's also backing up Doge as part of his profiting strategy.
1212  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka Economic Crisis is Getting Worse on: July 21, 2022, 05:15:10 PM
From this incident, a corrupt government that only cares about personal interests on the basis of ambition will lead to destruction. An unbalanced economic system and uncertainty about campaign promises are the main weapons.

What do you think about the economic crisis in Sri Lanka?

sri lanka is currently in a very difficult situation, a severe economic crisis has destroyed the lives of people in the area, is it true that the main cause is the accumulated debt? I don't think debt caused Sri Lanka's crisis, but it was the crisis that made Sri Lanka unable to pay its debts.

I think there is a long chain that made Sri Lanka experienced the worst crisis, Sri Lanka experienced a prolonged conflict that hampered its economic growth, and 19% of its revenues depended on tourism and the COVID-19 pandemic hit the tourism sector hard.
and the cause most responsible for the crisis that occurred was a corrupt government
Their corrupt government officials also took advantage of the pandemic that increased the debt of Sri Lanka and yes, they're the most responsible for the crisis happening in their country. The sad part is, that innocent people are paying for their debt and suffering because of their corruption. We can't blame the people who are protesting because they're fighting for their rights. If their country's crisis will get worse, their economic situation might collapse in the future.
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 21, 2022, 04:55:00 PM
Well i cant put more words, the video says it all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsB15QKz9No&ab_channel=EBDSports

I really think this damage the trust in the sports bets, or anything related to sports gambling, I know a lot can say it's a kind of protest but still really unclear.

If the organizer of that event did not punish those who are involved in that game fixing it can damage only sports events in that country, you don't include sports in general, game fixing exists in every sport but it should not be in major events because people are paying and advertisers are pouring in millions to give a fair and honest game, in general, this will not damage the whole sports betting community, its just your perception that it will damage when it's not.
It will only ruin the reputation of those who manage the sports event and not the whole sports betting community because it doesn't happen in all countries, especially in huge events. It will also ruin the trust of bettors and might avoid every event that they might set in the future. They should do something about it because it will be too unfair for bettors who are risking their funds for the game.
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 21, 2022, 04:39:18 PM
I do not think those who are hooked up with gambling would go for such apps. They play with real money because that gives them excitement and satisfaction. Whatever the end result playing with real money takes you to another level when you earn profit.

Those who want to know how gambling works can try these apps but, they will get bored after sometimes as it will become monotonous. There is also a chance that some might try with non fake money and they might then get addicted.
If they can win, of course it will give them experience or pleasure. But if they lose, they will definitely feel bad for losing real money to gamble and some people are not ready to see this happen to them. New people who want to gamble usually see the application in video advertisements or when they want to update other applications so that they feel curious about the game. And they will install that gambling app just to find out what gambling is like. From there, they can be more curious after knowing how it feels to play gambling using fake money and can decide to deposit real money to be able to feel the real experience of playing gambling.
Curiosity could be deep and sometimes it could be more than exploration to the extent that a person could even fall more into gambling especially if they try out gambling games using fake money. It will only attract a person to bet more than that fake money using legit gambling sites. The best way for a person to totally stop gambling is to eliminate or uninstall any gambling apps.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Manage Gambling Addiction an Open Discussion. on: July 21, 2022, 04:21:09 PM
Another tip is tell people your gambling challenge,  like some gamblers who are addicted find it difficult to tell people what they go through.  When this challenges is share among people around it will be more easy to tackle the life style.

I would not say that it is a lifestyle, because there are no people who have a lifestyle that is based only on gambling, and if there is someone who leads that lifestyle, they must have many debts. For me, a person who has a gambling lifestyle is something like, if they have a family, they put it at risk, usually the type of people like that arrive very late, usually they drink a lot of liquor and this begins to damage relationships and more so if you have children, because you really cannot offer a good future otherwise everything would be a mirage or something that does not make sense nor would it serve as the best example that can be given to them.

and that would be a bad lifestyle. A habit that should not be tolerated. But if you like addiction to gambling it will be very difficult to change. No one is calm in his life if only doing gambling in his life. To overcome addiction because gambling can only be done with the intention and sincerity to change and stay away from it, it is difficult but it must be done. Rehabilitation really needs to be done and psychology also needs to be built and must get support from family and people around them.

Only a person himself could help him heal and recover from gambling addiction. Even if the people around him are supporting him to change his ways and keep out of gambling, if he doesn't have the willingness to change for the better, he will still go back to his old habit. There should be a willingness to submit and an eagerness to quit for him to recover.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 20, 2022, 06:16:23 PM
Not really sure how many people didn't see gambling as for fun while they can spent a lot money just to buy an expensive skin for their game characters. I'd say bought an expensive skin is more useless rather than gambling.

I do bought buying expensive skin in games especially on Dota2 and gambling at the same time. I don’t agree about buying skin is useless compared to gambling because I can use it permanently to the game to improved the visual style of my character that gives me more entertainment when playing game. You literally waste your money if you lose in gambling compared to Dota2 skin that can be sold if you don’t want it anymore.

I think it depends on the person personal preference on how they view entertainment to measure how they really enjoying on things that they will do.

Spending funds for game skin isn't the same as spending funds on betting. In skins, we're able to use and enjoy what we purchased and it gives us satisfaction, unlike gambling where there is no assurance that we'll win and make a profit from it. Buying skins and other game-related items for me isn't a waste of money.
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: July 20, 2022, 05:28:37 PM
Casino tokens are only relevant for as long as the sites that they are linked to existing. What do you think happens to them if the sites suddenly disappear one day?

I think it's worth investing in them as long as the sites that they are linked to are popular and reputed sites that are trustworthy. However, I don't advise investing big amounts into any of these tokens no matter how legit they are op.

The reputation of the casino site that they represent will reflect on their reputation as a coin so I guess coins linked to good casino sites have a good future but I think they aren't good for long-term investment especially if we seek assurance of maximizing our gains. These coins might be popular but I still prefer well-established altcoins over them.
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐️Share Your Winnings Story. Why do people gamble?⭐️ on: July 20, 2022, 05:04:16 PM
I think people gamble for different reasons. Some gamblers might find their hopes in gambling, others seek comfort in it, and some of them play for entertainment. It all depends on how we see the value of gambling in our lives. Some people stay because of the satisfaction and enjoyment that it provides while others stay because of a huge hope of hitting the jackpot. It is all because of the chances that gambling can offer.
1219  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid loan apps, a word of advice. on: July 17, 2022, 04:06:17 PM
Some lending app companies were shut down in our country because of harassing their clients. Their offices were raided by the authorities and some employees were arrested but according to them, they were just doing their jobs which were ordered by the owner. We can't blame them for harassing and giving threats because that's included in the script provided by the company. Loaning apps will attract people to borrow money from them but will end up forcing and harassing their clients.
As for me, for everyone to avoid this kind of scenario, as much as possible, we better get rid of lending apps. If we can find other ways to find the money we should get rid of borrowing from loaning applications.
1220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Alt coins are About to pump again! on: July 17, 2022, 03:44:31 PM
I think the only way altcoins can pump in a general sense is if and only if BTC recovers or at least goes bullish and that bullish confirmation is long-term, for me that's the only way. , because many years have passed without us having a season for altcoins, which is when we see the market in total green and that it continues to rise, something like it was in 2017, I think many dream of living that stage again, where would it be bought any altcoin and that would go up quickly.

Altcoins rely on the price of Bitcoin and I guess there were just little corrections that made some prices pump. We're still in the bearish season so I don't think altcoins will continue to strike high. As long as the Bitcoin situation is the same, I don't think altcoins will move independently. It will still take time before the altcoin season will approach.
