1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice from a stranger on: July 30, 2022, 03:45:15 PM
Is it true that new altcoins are the best to invest in right now? Someone said you can easily make better profits from new projects than investing in old altcoins that have already x their values already, what do you think? Good or bad idea.
I will rather invest in old altcoins where a reasonable amount of profit is guaranteed than taking a risk by investing in a new altcoin whose long term sustainability is not sure, there are a lot of new altcoins that started well after sometime it developers abandoned the project, thus lead to the dump in their prices at the mercy of their investors who invested in them with their hard earned money, the best bet is to select any top 10 altcoin in coinmarketcap invest or buy at dip especially when the market is very bearish and wait for the bullish runs some sure profits will be guaranteed.

Investing in new projects and unestablished altcoins will be a big risk. If I will risk my funds, I would pick top altcoins instead. Those who have shown huge improvements and developments for years. It will be the best time to buy altcoins that could ride with the price of Bitcoin when the market goes back to normal. There's still a risk with top coins but they can surely survive the bearish season and reach a good price when the bull market comes.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking to start an online casino on: July 30, 2022, 02:52:51 PM

OP seems sincere as a newbie in this business so I believe that he wants to make a fair and legal business only not illegal where he can turned in to a scam later on. That one that you suggest, having a consultant is no doubt helpful but here in crypto or in bitcoin, anyone can start their own casinos immediately even without it and I think that having it can only add on the expense and then it can take some time for it to be processed.

Lastly it can demand users to do a kyc, which contradicts to the real purpose of decentralization or anonymity or cryptos. We know that many gamblers are sick and tired of kyc but majority of them value their privacy.
I think it's good to value your privacy - I was an open book and I had no idea about it unless I have suffered an identity theft issue.
some people are too evil to deal with. They misuse you - and cherry on the top - they blame you and curse you and kick you out of the room, Have you ever met someone like this I have met such kinds of jerks twice.

I feel sorry about your bad experience. I guess that's too traumatic on your part and that's one of the reasons why we can't blame players who don't want to comply with the KYC requirements. There are scammers and users that might steal your personal data which is really dangerous. That's why lots of gamblers prefer casino sites that won't ask us to submit the KYC process.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: July 30, 2022, 02:28:30 PM

Already you weren't able to make a big win out of gambling, then it is good to take a break than just looking for financial freedom out of gambling. When you're into financial struggle, gambling is not the right choice. I've experienced similar situation, and I'm trying the take a break than just trying to recover what I've lost. Gambling brings good only to the luckiest.
That's correct - and that is something I needed strongly. Made my day.
I have lost a big amount and I am still disturbed and restless for not being able to digest what has happened to me .. but sometime we have to accept what's not yours go from our hand. Like a bird. God give me patience. Thanks.

Restless betting can lead you to more losses which might make your situation worse. If you're struggling with your finances, gambling isn't the right alternative for you to recover. You better stay away from it especially if you're holding funds that you can't afford to lose. Gambling has risks and is mainly for entertainment purposes. Not everyone can be lucky in gambling so keep out of it if you're starting to feel unlucky in it.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 30, 2022, 01:59:43 PM
Though IBO is not so prestigious like the 4 boxing sanctioning bodies but still it is a good start for Philippine boxing to rebound from devastation so with that said, Dave Apolinario is the name to watch out for in the coming years.

Agree with you. It's still a World Title and we now have another champion representing the Philippines.

A first-round KO is hard to do but Dave did it. His winning record is impressive too and looks at his Knockout rate. He is a rising star and I'm looking forward to more of his achievements in the future. He's just 23 years old after all. More time to shine on the stage.

Hope more PH boxers will be back again in the boxing spotlight. We always have known about that. Not that we are looking for another Manny Pacquiao.

I didn't expect that from Dave Apolinario. At a young age, he was able to prove himself in the ring. He has huge potential but I hope that he could follow in the footsteps of the boxing champ, Manny Pacquiao. To be honest, it's been already years but none could follow Manny's records. Filipino boxers only need to have more perseverance and eagerness to gain more titles.
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most BTC you've spent on something? on: July 29, 2022, 04:32:47 PM
I was able to spend $500 worth of Bitcoin last January because I decided to purchase a mobile phone as a gift to my daughter from a local online shop in our country that accepts Bitcoin. That was the first and last time that I sold my Bitcoin to purchase something because I prefer holding it and accumulating more as a long-term investment. I will just purchase more items once I gain a good profit from them in the future.
1186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi is not dead, what is he doing? on: July 29, 2022, 04:09:15 PM
After reading so many topics that discuss who satoshi could be and why he would leave bitcoin from one day to another it made me think: What is he doing these days? It is really unlikely that he never ever came back to the forum again, just to read and look at the progress. Also it seems likely that he had at least one alt account that may even be still active.

I guess he might be living a simple life. He kept his personality private maybe because he wants to live in peace and harmony so I guess, he's living a simple yet providing his family's necessities because of Bitcoin. Well, we all have our own guesses since most of us are curious about him but wherever he is, it doesn't matter anymore because it's his personal choice to hide his identity from the public.
1187  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetInsider - Free Tips and Predictions on: July 29, 2022, 03:38:28 PM
What does "years of betting" mean? Losing money for years is also "betting years". I don't see any interesting tips - it's not a problem for a player to make such predictions. If I join every such group and read all such tips, I will have no time to bet. And more than 70% of such tips in such groups are reposts from one group to another.

My experience with prediction groups wasn't successful either because their predictions aren't accurate. From then on, I learned how to do at least simple analysis so I won't be needing to rely on tipsters. Most of them are not helping to be honest. If they really want to prove that they're reliable, they should have shared proof of their trading success.
1188  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: July 29, 2022, 02:14:27 PM

So I think people who don't have enough money should gamble with small amounts of money which would be comparatively less risky.

Do you have any memorable events where your expenses were very low but you got relatively high returns in casino gambling or any kind of Sports betting?
These are really related to luck.
We have seen how gambling really can change somebody's life, even if it's getting better or even worse.
I am still holding tight to the mindest of gambling only with money that we can afford to lose. It may be various on how much, whether it is only a few cents or even higher fund. This will relate to how we can control ourselves after winning or losing in gambling.
This may not easy even if we have won the jackpot because we will be again attracted to gamble, and we may not face any twice golden chance.
We may block someday, but will the luck be always with us? Not really. That is why I do agree with your opinion about the combination of luck and skills. also.

If you use money that you are prepared to lose, then that is the best way to control your gambling. not all gamblers can do it, most just assume and are curious about their luck.
I think the luck of gamblers who play casinos and sportsbook is different. the risk may be less in the sportsbook. because there are opportunities offered, we can see it from the analysis of the abilities of the two competing teams.
Those people have clearly won by luck and we gamblers, no matter how big or small we bet, if we are not lucky in gambling yet, we can't gain anything but rather lose our funds. There are just gamblers who have lucky hands and can win huge profits despite having small funds but being lucky is not for everyone.
1189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for newbie to long-term investing on: July 28, 2022, 05:27:50 PM
...

EDIT

I would like to thank everyone for their helpful advise so far, I will definitely take each point made into serious consideration. Also from the points made, it lets me now that my mindset is where it should be.

Right know I'm heavily focused on accumulating as much Eth as I can. I'm almost at the goal I've set for myself in terms of how much I'd like to have before investing in another coin, since I've started investing again a short while ago. Next up I'd like to stack some ADA and BTC of course. But I can't help but wonder is accumulating ETH and ADA is the right move right now. Or should I be more invested in BTC in terms of potential long-term returns?
I was glad to hear from you OP appreciates the help and advice from other forum members. At least, you find it important, and following those things makes you feel comfortable with your investment and guided in the right direction. It was indeed to have a positive mindset and market adoption there is nothing we can do but take risks and understand the situation. If you can do this, no doubt that you can achieve your goal.

It's really helpful to trust the advice of the majority on this forum. Most of the people here are experienced traders and investors and we could learn a lot from them. A proper mindset will help you reach the goals that you have set. You might encounter failures and losses despite following all the advice here but that will make you a better trader and investor.
1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your ultimate choice? on: July 28, 2022, 04:56:18 PM
Of course, BTC and Ethereum. Many coins existed trying to beat and replace these coins yet their remain on their spot. I will always trust these coins because I experienced making a profit from them despite the market crash years ago. That simply means that they are already firm against any market condition. Even huge businesses trust these coins so the possibility of huge adoptions in the future is possible.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 28, 2022, 04:06:44 PM
I have been watching some slot streamers regularly. Just like when i watched xposed. To be honest they were affiliator rather than called all of them as real gamblers. I saw that thousands of people were also watching it for the entertain purpose only. The fact that if they were getting money from anyone who registered through their refferal. I called them all as affiliator. As far i as i know that account that used by strimer was different with the regular gamblers.

It depends on the streamer that you are subscribing. Yes some streamers are using different account for streaming because of the balance they are using is from the casino itself. Most of the negotiation for partnership between streamers and casino is via online so it's safe for both parties to use a dedicated account for streaming that include gambling balance.

Affiliationss or not, this is only based on how you view them. For some users that don't care about affiliate commission, they view streams like this as regular streams.

Yes, they could earn better through the number of views that they could gain through streaming. The number of streamers is continuously rising since we all know that there's a huge opportunity to earn on it. There are lots of gamblers and viewers who find watching gambling streamers entertaining so it's an open opportunity for everyone to stream. They could earn through sponsorships and partnerships which is really a big edge to survive the inflation crisis this year.
1192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will Never Fall Again on: July 28, 2022, 03:26:03 PM
Recently, we have observed these so-called investors misleading people about rapid profits from investing in Bitcoin. They are either soliciting money or pushing an exchange. When I wanted to learn more about bitcoin, I preferred viewing videos on the internet or YouTube since there were many influencers there who had various perspectives and from whom I could also learn new things and get helpful tips.
It isn't advisable to rely on the opinions and advice of influencers on Youtube simply because they could release false information to deceive their viewers especially if they're advertising or offering a service, project, or product that will benefit them in return. Influencers are just making money regardless of the type of information that they're sharing so we should do our own research instead.
1193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 28, 2022, 02:22:21 PM
~ How about you? Do you have Fengshui practice that you're observing when you are about to play or while playing

This very question sounds like an insult to me. How could you assume me being so stupid?!  Grin

But if seriously, no, I respect other people's beliefs. Believe what you want, just don't kill me for not being a big fan of your way of thinking. So, if gambling following some Feng Shui rules makes you happier, I'm totally OK with that. Only, Feng Shui or not, don't bet more than you can afford to lose. Just in case. Wink
We can always be strategic when it comes to gambling and we could also rely on our personal beliefs but we can't expect others to have the same strategy or belief as we do. Fengshui I think won't work especially for those who don't believe in it. It's just a good thing that we have the freedom to rely on our beliefs, culture, and faith in gambling.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: July 28, 2022, 01:47:14 PM

Being poor is bad enough. But I know someone who lives paycheck to paycheck and then saw him one day in a neighborhood casino betting a huge amount. I can see his close friends already advised him to stop, take the money, and enjoy his win but didn't stop. He ended up losing. He realized later and stopped but he only doubled his money instead of having XX,000.

Hard to see what his character is but he must be trying to impress some of his friends or he just has the greatest ambition in life and to be rich in gambling.

A person who is addicted to gambling doesn't focus on his ambition and goals anymore. All he wants is just to bet and gamble until he runs out of funds. He's already on the wrong track. It all started with simple greediness but got worse because of a lack of self-control. A gambling addict doesn't have peace of mind and all he does is find ways how to have money to gamble.

Quote
Stick to What You Know.

Those who are into Sportsbook should really apply this. We must know about how the game works as well as its rules and the capability of the players before we bet. We should always choose a gambling game that we want and we are knowledgeable about because if we don't know what we are doing, we will only waste our time and money.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: July 28, 2022, 11:39:54 AM
If gambling didn’t bring some good health benefits at times, there would be no one ever playing. Just being in the thrill of a game with money on the line, even just a little can go a long way for someone’s entertainment value. That makes a difference in your overall health. Of course, all done in moderation.

True. It's a fact that negative emotions can weaken your overall health. Even your immune system is affected by stress big time. If done in moderation, each session of gambling can be improving your mood, thus making you healthier. And if you are less stressed, you can work better, so you can improve your financial situation too.
Gambling could only hit us negatively if we're not handling it the right way to the extent that we're abusing even our health for too much playing. Everything that's being done in moderation isn't a bad thing. We should know our limits and control when it comes to gambling so it will not harm or even affect our lives the wrong way.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 27, 2022, 08:39:47 AM
I did try to look for Campa's highlights, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYpUKfIY0hA

Could be a good match as both is brawler, however, this is the fight that Lopez excel, maybe except for the Kambosos fight as obviously, he already lost this one. So if they brawl in this fight, I think Lopez will still come up and maybe score a big KO win. Just a couple of weeks from know and we will see how Lopez is, if he adjusted to this division and didn't lose any of his power going up in weight.

Lopez is well motivated and dedicated as we have seen on his previous match with Kambosos. I hope Kambosos would stop asking for a rematch becase obviously, Lopez really beat him down. Campa is also aggressive in the ring so this will be an exciting match but my bet still goes so Lopez. I'm more convinced that Lopez could possibly win by KO.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos You're Playing That Are not On This Forum on: July 27, 2022, 04:33:01 AM
When I started in the forum and all the related crypto issues I started playing only in the different crypto casinos that exist in the forum, but even though I have tried to be active in all or at least have the experience of visiting them, I still don't know all of them.

I am very comfortable with what is there and I arrived new to the forum, it is in a certain way to maintain a selective order of where I invest my time that is valuable, I am not saying that there are possibly no better options in promotions elsewhere, but if a crypto casino is not announced in the forum does not exist for me, all of the above in traditional casino games, but I have my exceptions with Poker casinos, and they are GG, ACR.

I also rely on my preference in choosing a casino site on this forum. There are good casino sites that aren't here but I feel secure using what's being advertised or has an ANN thread on this forum. I rely on the suggestions and feedback of the players and gamblers here. We should research casino sites that we're using but seeing an ANN thread makes it easier for us to know if a casino is legit or not.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins is a good way to keep and save money or not? on: July 24, 2022, 03:20:18 PM
What do you think about stablecoins, some scandals around them and their future? It is interesting to hear the opinion of the members of bitcointalk

If you want to keep your funds and store them using stable coins, your funds will still remain stable. They aren't good for long-term or even short-term investments but will be helpful if you only want to keep your funds without facings risks. They're just good for transactions but not worth buying and keeping especially if you're expecting to maximize your gains.
1200  Economy / Economics / Re: Unemplyment at least 50% how world will look like then ? on: July 24, 2022, 06:24:41 AM
the price will not affect the number of unemployed but the price is very identical to the economic condition of one country / and the cost of production of one product offered,
there are many entrepreneurs out there and sometimes many jobs are created but it's just that humans have high ambitions and want to occupy a decent position but don't measure their abilities so many companies refuse, so for 50% unemployment in one country it's an impossible thing according to me, don't know for the others
Yes, there could be lots of opportunities for everyone. More businesses are being established since most countries are now recovering from the pandemic. Some people are blaming the increasing number of unemployment rate on the government but the fact is, they lack skills and others don't have the eagerness to look for opportunities. The success of a person depends on their determination and hard work.
