281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The ideology of Bitcoin on: August 13, 2021, 11:09:37 PM
As the article describes it, I keep it as the principle of bitcoin.
I also respect OP's opinion because we know that there are investors in bitcoin with the idea of amassing fortunes.

For my part, I am on the side of the unbanked, who despite having bank accounts most of the time are empty because I use my local currency only when I need to go shopping for groceries and supplies from my home because the rest of my money is in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Many times I went to my bank to apply for a credit card to buy a PC to study and work and all those times they were denied. Now I can buy any device without having to ask for a credit from the bank because bitcoin and cryptocurrencies gave me the facility to buy them. It has not been for free, I have worked hard to achieve it and with satisfaction I can say that it has been worth it.

282  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the Best type of Government? on: August 13, 2021, 10:18:18 PM
Thanks OP for this thread. Because it makes us reflect on what is the best government we need.
All those listed are those that are in operation today. Although I think they are mostly worn out and need to improve with a vision of the future.

I would like to share how I would like a government in my country Venezuela. It should have a good administration that eradicates corruption, that ensures the proper functioning of public and private institutions, offering support and security.

A fair government that evaluates its resources so that they are exploited and provide the safety and well-being of its inhabitants. That can be achieved with good work because my country has abundant natural resources to be a prosperous country where jobs should not be lacking.
The land is so fertile that where a seed falls, a plant, flowers, cereals, fruit trees are born.

It sounds simple but it is not easy, in my country there must be a change but the population is already tired of electing the rulers because in the end they win the same Chavismo and Madurismo.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin anti-inflation? on: August 12, 2021, 11:46:04 PM
I think that for the real use of bitcoin as a single currency I could share my experience if it is anti-inflation or not.
As everyone remembers at the beginning of the pandemic, the price of bitcoin plummeted on March 15, 2020 to $ 5,542.82.

All over the world there was uncertainty as to how it was affecting the economy and in my country Venezuela was no exception. My only means of income was bitcoin an average of $ 20 per week, if I can solve my economic needs taking into account the fall in the price of bitcoin, volatility and hyperinflation I can confess that bitcoin is anti-inflation.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why crypto (bitcoin) is better than traditional money? on: August 12, 2021, 11:13:11 PM
Bitcoin cryptocurrencies are important to me as a Venezuelan citizen, as you well know in my country hyperinflation reigns and for anyone it is a terrible situation because it represses the quality of life of those who suffer from it.
By investing in bitcoin and some cryptocurrencies I am relieving myself of the negative effects of inflation.
As it is true, cryptocurrencies are not accepted in many stores anywhere in the world, we are still minorities.
That is where we should focus and do our best to know how to live with bitcoin and crypto because its decentralized power works.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being decentralised an illusion? on: August 12, 2021, 10:51:51 PM
After reading OP. Every time I convince myself that the FUD is an impressive thing it can convince anyone who has no knowledge of how, why and where bitcoin is going.
Bitcoin is decentralized, this is how its creation has been and in the world at every moment, bitcoin has new users, investors, developers willing to contribute to the power of decentralization. It is your money that you can handle at your convenience, without having to ask your government for permission.
As long as we follow the pillars by which bitcoin was created we are giving it its value and the strength to continue its mission.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in China: What’s going on in the crypto community on: August 12, 2021, 10:26:43 PM
It is a shame that China has banned bitcoin and that investors from that country had to sell it for fear of sanctions.
When the last FUD happened, the massive sale of bitcoin on the exchanges of Asian investors was notary.
In this forum a Chinese citizen affirmed that the reasons for China's ban towards Bitcoin, the main reason for him was that the Chinese government intended to protect bitcoin investors from losing their money.

It really is an incomprehensible fact, it is better to teach the population how to invest in bitcoin and know how to avoid third parties who intend to cheat with future profits.

However, I agree with how you think that China's decision was the best for bitcoin.
Now the mining is being carried out cleaner with more modern equipment because after this rearrangement, fortunately more awareness arose so that the mining industries are eco-friendly.
287  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Abortion should be banned. on: August 08, 2021, 07:11:41 PM
I live in Venezuela, and this question has caused a lot to talk about in my country, as well as in other countries in the world.

In the country many organizations have tried to legalize abortion, and it has been denied by legislators, because they have ensured the right to life as the fundamental principle that governs our Constitution.

The ban on abortion has naturally been supported by churches of various denominations in the country.

Although in other countries the right to abortion has received approval, currently in Venezuela it is only legal if the life of the mother is at risk.
288  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: August 07, 2021, 11:34:45 PM
I think Bitcoin investors are happier than Stock investors. The world is changing if we realize we can relate the response to the emergence of companies like Grayscale.

This business model is opening up to give opportunities to new investors because the paradigm has been broken. Digital currencies have become the center of everything and they provide innovation.

Bitcoin has created the conditions for us to have a great ecosystem where we can build the new future of finance.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you protect your Bitcoin from market volatility? on: August 07, 2021, 11:14:29 PM
For the active trader and thinking about avoiding the volatility of bitcoin, it could be the case of using the pair of stablecoins.
But bitcoin has many types of holders, there are investors who think about investing for a long time. This type of investor is the one who does not sell bitcoin, on the contrary, he buys more when the price is low.
In this case, volatility is favorable because it invites you to buy.
If you don't sell your bitcoin you don't lose, is another thought.
290  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase starts accepting AppleGoogle pay to buy crypto-Start of global trnsfrs? on: August 07, 2021, 10:52:21 PM
This is great news.
Apple Pay is shown as a novel app with a good design that adapts well to the needs of users.
I believe that from Coinbase there will be important advances to get more users to buy bitcoin with greater comfort and security.

I remember that some time ago I needed to buy EOS in an application to create my first EOS account and the app I chose referred me to Coinbase, the experience was magnificent, simple, fast, secure and because it was my first time buying EOS the method used by Coinbase it was intuitive.
As Apple Pay describes its product:

Quote
Apple Pay is the one way to pay. It replaces your physical cards and cash with an easier, safer, more secure, and private payment method — whether you’re in a store, online, or sending cash to friends or family. It’s money, made modern.

291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google starts accepting Bitcoin ads on: August 07, 2021, 10:14:28 PM
On the one hand, the news makes me happy. It also reminded me of the time when ICOs were terrible. Too much fraud I have like 100 shitcoin in MEW that I created with so much excitement to save my tokens from the wonderful projects that I supported at that time. 😕🤦

It is also true that Google does not act fast or does not have the proper means to detect phishing sites.

I would like Google to improve the way of knowing the authenticity of the sites that are advertised in the browser in order to avoid that we run the risk of falling into the hands of scammers.

I am also going to share Google's support related to cryptocurrencies.

In August 2021, Google will update the Financial products and services policy to clarify the scope and requirements to allow the advertisement of cryptocurrency related business and services.

292  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anxiety goes depression on: August 07, 2021, 09:42:32 PM
Anxiety and depression need medical attention whatever the causes, only a specialist can provide adequate guidance to alleviate this condition.
If the patient acts in time he is fighting the battle. Before reading what it was about, I did not expect the subject to be so deep.

On some occasions I have felt depression but at a low level I could classify it this way because I feel it when my cholesterol rises due to the intake of some foods. But fortunately I went to the doctor, he examined my blood values and he could only notice that anomaly, high cholesterol. I was lucky because I was able to verify that I was healthy only a lack of cholesterol control.
293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you miss Trump? on: August 07, 2021, 09:25:02 PM
I also think like you. When Trump was still in the Presidency, I followed him on Twitter almost every day because he was very media.
I was interested in knowing what he said as if I were an American citizen to know how he directed the destiny of the United States.

Honestly these days, I don't take a look at Joe Biden because I think he's managing it well, or that it bores me to find out what he's doing.

Forgive me my sincerity guys, 😌 I think so. I think I am in the group that is attracted to charismatic Presidents this does not mean that he approved of Trump's administration.
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is bad / Bitcoin is High risk .... well what about Archegos? on: August 07, 2021, 08:59:55 PM
Sometimes I think that bitcoin fixes everything. But it is possible if the money is managed properly.

For example, a collapse like that of Archegos Capital would not have occurred if capital flight had been prevented. There was a lack of control, I think. I have read that Bill Hwang, the founder of Archegos Capital, made large donations to his foundation The Grace and Mercy.

I do not disagree in donating but handling large amounts of money that belong to other people is a great responsibility, in the case of his company he had to take into account the reserves to avoid future losses.

295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: some people uneducate about Bitcoins on: August 07, 2021, 07:52:22 PM
The two causes that OP mentions are the most frequent because people are negative to embrace bitcoin.
We need more educated people on how bitcoin can change their lives for the better.

An opportunity to discover the process to educate people is with the country of El Salvador. There are different opinions both for and against using bitcoin as legal tender in that country.

Bitcoin is transparency, it encourages those who use it to follow technological advances and of course it is innovation.

If there is innovation, there is also development and improvements in the economic sectors, which is the goal sought by bitcoin enthusiasts.
296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do ALL vaccines kill people? on: August 07, 2021, 02:43:18 AM
Guys, we are at an important step in our lives in deciding what is best for our health in the midst of the Covid19 crisis.

As we have realized, there has been various information for and against Covid19 vaccines. I already chose, and chose the vaccine, in my country Venezuela the health authorities are placing the following vaccines: Sinopharm (China) Sputnik V (Russia) and Abdala (Cuba) to immunize our inhabitants.

I have asked family members who have already been vaccinated and the perceived side effects have been mild.

I respect each one the way of thinking. I follow posts like the following:

Quote
A new study from Imperial College London suggests that unvaccinated people are three times more likely than those who are fully vaccinated to test positive for COVID-19. Researchers also said fully vaccinated people are less likely to transmit the virus to others.

That’s good news for vaccinated people looking to safely gather with other vaccinated people who don’t live together.

297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CNN FIRES 3 STAFF FOR COVID-19 VACCINATION on: August 06, 2021, 11:01:22 PM
This news keeps me at a crossroads because I agree to get vaccinated. But these CNN employees by deciding not to get vaccinated are under the idea that the vaccine can kill them. I have also read that there is a campaign to discredit vaccines according to opinions and facts and people cling to this confusion.
I see that on the part of CNN it was a very drastic measure, perhaps it should have followed some status of company law.

Honestly based on what I have observed in my city and the people closest to me who have received the vaccine have not suffered severe side effects. For which I am not afraid of the vaccine, it is the testimony of a Venezuelan who hopes to be vaccinated, I have not done it because I want to cure myself of an allergy to go with a stronger immune system.
298  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden devolved on: August 06, 2021, 09:59:38 PM
Indeed! It was a mistake by Joe Biden to give that figure as reported by the digital media. So the debate on "Joe Biden devolved" is that we should pay attention. Honestly, I have not followed Biden's policy to qualify him, I hope that instead of mistakes he has successes.
I have read that vaccination goals are at risk and that in some states where their rulers are Republicans, the vaccination rate is low.

Quote
It’s possible Mr Biden had mistakenly referred to the number of vaccine doses administered in the United States, which is almost 350 million. The actual number of fully vaccinated Americans is 166 million, i.e. approximately half the population.

299  Other / Politics & Society / Re: You will not need to work until 2030 because you will have enough money on: August 06, 2021, 09:19:04 PM
My first impression after reading OP's was WTF! No offense, only that I found it impressive and to get out of my mind I decided to do my own search and found valuable information about The Future of AI from the valuable firm of Mckinsey.
Although humanity has had a global health problem, AI technology has followed its advances like other technologies, so it is worth looking at part of how AI will incorporate into our world by 2025 and 2030.

Quote
Experts estimate that there will be up to a trillion connected devices by 2025.

By 2025, 3-D printed buildings will be common and carriers will need to assess how this development changes risk assessments. In addition, autonomous programmable drones; autonomous agricultural equipment; and improved surgical robots will be commercially viable in the next decade.
By 2030, a much larger proportion of standard vehicles will have autonomous features, such as autonomous driving capabilities. Operators will need to understand how the growing presence of robotics in everyday life and across industries will change risk groups, change customer expectations, and enable new products and channels.

300  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Delta back to China on: August 06, 2021, 08:48:32 PM
As you affirm, the Delta variant is invading several countries and China has not been the exception.

According to China's state doctors, a new Coronavirus outbreak was generated in five provinces and Beijing.

It is presumed that this new wave of contagion occurred at a Nanjing airport that was congested on July 20. This is how the news reports, airports represent a source of infection and without proper biosecurity supervision this causes a great problem because the origin of new infections is inevitable and history repeats itself.

As a measure to control the source of infections, the authorities have suspended all flights from Nanjing airport until August 11.
