2821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets be careful on what we are investing on: May 02, 2018, 03:32:34 AM
Just don't focus in ICO, some are failing during their pre-sale and is announcing that they are no longer continuing and will just stop the ICO/project easily.
This is the time all the investors need to becareful because most projects are fake
And most of them are just using the term of ICO to make money and they have no legit business to support. They are all claiming that they will be partnered with this and those companies but the reality is they are only giving you sweet lies.
2822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does positive thinking affect your edge in gambling on: April 30, 2018, 11:28:42 PM
I'm one of it that believes that positive thinking have an impact when you gamble. I don't know on how I ended up thinking about it but it just came to pass that there are too many instances that when I'm positive while having the last money I have, I'm winning. This is base on my experience so I really believe that when you are a positive thinker, luck will come to you and will gamble together with you. This is base on my opinion and I don't want to argue with anyone that stance against.
Okay, I hope this end up lasting long for you as the case may be, because a time will come and trust me, I have been there, where you will let your idea of positive thinking make you lose all that you could have thought you have won over the years and even much more than you will ever imagine.

At that stage, you will think that you are using your positive thinking to want to get back what you have lost, but by then your mind has been so terribly affected that you will be recovering losses and ending up as an addict. Just a friendly warning Wink.
Thanks for that warning, don't worry I'm aware about it. We do know that too much of everything can also cause you to collapse and can lead you to bad results. With my stand as a gambler, I know my limitations but I tend to remain positive when I know the risk that I'm taking is quite high and it gives me the courage to keep on moving though the results may vary. It's applicable for a gambler to stay positive whether we gamble with the amount we afford to lose or not.
2823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fork Today? FOXBTC? on: April 30, 2018, 11:09:55 PM
This is toxic, I didn't know that there's another fork that's scheduled to happen today. Current block height is 520643 and the fork was scheduled at 520419. So they are now listed on the CMC as foxbit (or this is another coin) and I can't even understand their twitter account it's Brazilian.
I don't know on what's their real website (https://foxbtc.io/) or (https://foxbit.com.br/)
These forks are making me crazy and they are just trying to disturb us, whatever is the real one it's another shitcoin.
Also this belongs to Altcoin Discussion.
2824  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks Won't Make You Rich on: April 30, 2018, 10:35:36 PM
It's a fact that banks can't make us rich but it can help us to protect our money and give us an idea on what to invest with their services yet the profit isn't so high as we're expecting. And the sad reality about them is we are helping them to become richer, we deposit money to them and they use it quickly for their lending services and asks borrowers with a better interest rate while they only give us with a very small portion from that profit they've made from our deposits.
2825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2000$ to invest now?! on: April 30, 2018, 09:32:43 PM
I wouldn't diversify and divide my $2,000 that way. Gains through this type of diversification will be seen for a couple of months and loss can be also there so there's no assurance that all these coins will gain. You may gain for 2-3 coins but you can have a big loss with the other 2. For the first time investors, I'm telling them to stick and stay first with bitcoin and wait for their profit until the price hikes. And when they are ready and they've got higher capital that's the right time for them to diversify.

2828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the benefits of managing bitcoin on: April 06, 2018, 09:31:43 AM
when bitcoin prices are drops, I think we better talk more about the positive value of bitcoin. do not think about the value of bitcoin today, because thinking about it will only make us panic and confused. enough G20 make us calm.
No matter what effort we do just to make the discussions about bitcoin positive, newbies that are negative and bearish with bitcoin are going to come out.
So, now. we are talking about the benefits of bitcoin if bitcoin managed well.

what do you think if bitcoin is managed well by a country?
The economy will increase just like on how remittances are helping the boost of a country's economy then bitcoin will do the same.
2829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What's your thought? What do you think? Or still thinking? on: April 06, 2018, 09:05:48 AM
I don't know where are those other percentage of ICO's but the reality is that few of it are legit and does have real people. And you have to be specific on what percentage are you looking for? The remaining who are scams or the legit ones? We can't tell since most of them aren't disclosing the real identity of their developers but there are some who are transparent with their project. Would you guess on what country is the most that has ICO's?
2830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever stopped or removed from casino on: April 06, 2018, 08:49:08 AM
I am not allowed to enter any of the offline casino in my home country because its illegal to gamble according to our country rule.
Where is this your home country where gambling is illegal and you aren't allowed?
But I can freely gamble in a country where I am right now both in offline or online casino. I can even try my luck with daily and weekly lottery with million of dollar in prize... Wink
Continue what you are doing and it's good to hear that you never been stopped or removed from the casino. I haven't kicked in a casino since I know on what it feels to be kicked but there's a time that the management has to force us to leave since there's a bomb threat.
2831  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Will bitcoin disappear in the future? on: April 06, 2018, 08:18:31 AM
I think it will not disappear bitcoin in the future.
We don't hold the future but we all have the same believe that bitcoin isn't going to be gone so easy.
because bitcoin is money for the future and a lot of benefits from bitcoin that can be used for our convenience. and I think in the future bitcoin will be very influential for the world
Bitcoin's the future and we all knew about it but technology is changing. There might be some new type of currency that will come but bitcoin is here to stay and when that moment comes then we can still get along with bitcoin but it's going to be an investment.
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 05, 2018, 05:17:53 PM
I thought they could easily dominate the Lakers, but I was wrong because instead of dominating I see a different outcome.
Actually I root for the Spurs to win because they need that win to stay comfortably in the playoff race, now it just showed that they are not consistent.
We both are underestimating the Lakers and predicted that the Spurs will win this game easily. The scores aren't that far from leading for the whole game until Lakers made it's way during the OT. I really can't feel the MPLS jersey of LAL anyway that's not a big deal as long as they've won this match.
Raptors the best team in the East? Yes, in the regular season. How about in the playoffs? I dont recall the raptors won against LeBron and the Cavs with the same roster before up until now. That game they had the other day just proved it that still, they cant win against the cavs in a 7 game series.
Who knows if their performance will dominate even to the playoffs. I'm pretty sure that they will come up to a plan and adjustment if ever they'll face Cavs on a game 7 series.
2833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does becoming a parent changes the gambler? on: April 05, 2018, 03:25:33 PM
I commend you for not following you father's foot steps, you are a great example to the kids if they know that their grandfather was a drunkard but not their father. I do agree that every person, even your own flesh and blood, will have a different tendencies in getting addicted or not into whatever like gambling, drinking, or, worse, drugs. But the best thing for a parent would probably still be guidance.

I, for one, have tried drugs and I am not too proud of it and regret doing it. I was young and the peer pressure was hard, but when I did try it I did not get addicted and, believe it or not, I did not enjoy it. Probably thanks to the inner voice I hear. I hear my parents talking in my head telling me it is bad to take drugs. Well and good, I never did it again.
That is why I've said that not all kids will be influenced and won't be affected even they have gambling parents. It is base on my experience and drunkard is an addiction to alcoholic drinks and that can be compared the same way with addiction to gambling. You shouldn't be proud that you have taken drugs but you must be proud that you have changed and that's a different scenario in your case that you have those voices coming in your mind and that's the voice of your parents, we're getting far from the main topic here.

I guess there are a lot of temptations out here in the real world, but the good thing is that some or many be a lot of us has good parents that has guided us through the years to be prepared when they are not around. It is not always that we are guarded by our parents, and there would be a time that they will be gone forever, which makes me really sad but that is the reality in life. As a parent, I would say that the role of one is to hone your child to a point that even when you are away or gone, you can be at peace that your child can handle himself.

As for gambling as a parent, to get back in track, I would totally avoid it. It may not lead to your addiction or your child's but keeping them away from it would be best.
Temptations are everywhere and there are different aspects that are attracting us. Mate, I don't want to talk about the part that I bold. Let's talk about things that are not going to bring anyone of us into sadness. Back to the topic, I'm not yet a parent but when I become I'll live without regrets. There's nothing wrong if you will continue to gamble but don't let your kid see you that are you severe with it. And when the time comes if I'm about to those family or gambling, obviously I will leave gambling.
2834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is ETH very cheap now? on: April 05, 2018, 03:04:28 PM
April last year ETH's price was around $40 and this year's January the price went to the peak at $1,000+. By just looking at the ceiling's price of ETH it's expensive and thanks to the correction that the price went down and it's really cheap now although I bought during $800 as I thought that will be the dip for this 1st quarter.
Just a few months ago the price was $ 1k4 so now it's $ 400. I wonder if it continues to dump?
It fell off to $343 and we can't tell if this will continue to drop.
2835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IS IT THE BEST TIME FOR GAMBLING? on: April 05, 2018, 02:43:56 PM
Ive read some news and threads saying that stocks and cryptos is dropping low and indeed its true. Bitcoins price drops to $7K and is quite disturbing.
I feel that there's connection and there's conspiracy that manipulators are playing the economy it's only the crypto whales but the whole world's economy as Trump declares trade war.
Do you think its the best time for gambling? Given these following reasons.
- A certain loss on holding a coin can be obtained if you win on a bet in gambling and can recover what has been lost to you because of the drop.
For example, You are holding 1 bitcoin and the value before was $7,400 and now it drops to $6,800. Yes there's a loss but 1 bitcoin is still 1 bitcoin. What if you lose and the price drops more, you are on lose-lose situation with this mind set. If you are only holding, hold and keep it.
-  Holding is not that practical because it can be much lowered in the future and better risk it on gambling than seeing it continue dying.
No. If you think that holding isn't practical, Winklevoss twins will not be popular for holding more than 100k bitcoins. This mindset of yours makes you a dedicated gambler.
- Trading or Holding consumes more time and risk and it prolongs the pressure of loss in you mind and stress you through out the day and the only way to release it is to risk it in gambling.
Gambling is giving more pressure.
2836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: I bought ripple when it is $3 on: April 05, 2018, 02:17:35 PM
I am crying right now, because I realize that am the stupidest man alive
Don't say this. You are an investor that got in during the wrong season. There are even worst people who are doing bad to others.
I bought ripple when it is $3 and now it is 0.50 I can't sell off right now because I will make the same mistake I made before.
It seems that you know what you are doing and you just have to wait it until the price goes back again at $3. The same timing from those fellows that bought bitcoin on $19,000 and come to think of it on what they are feeling right now.
Is their anybody that made the mistake like me I need you to raise your hand up Tongue
Almost the same mistake, I sold when the price was low due to panic selling and after a couple of days it goes up.
2837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Is the market recovering? on: April 04, 2018, 06:31:53 PM
Yesterday the market was green and now it's already red so quick. The bear has come out and the bull has ran away, yesterday gave the whales to take some decent profits while us who are just holders are just holding for good. We aren't fooled or deceived, this is how the market moves so when it recovers again it's up to you if you want to take profits so that you will not accused that we are fooled.  Smiley
But if you are good for long term hold, no need to worry.
2838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why use cryptocurrency blockchains to gamble? on: April 04, 2018, 06:04:52 PM
But why are people playing poker using (ex: Pokercoin )
It's just for money. Like you are going to an amusement park and you have to buy their token to take any ride you want or you can take those specific rides with that certain token. Nothing is really upgraded with these new tokens / blockchains that they are developing about gambling. They are all the same and does only have one thing to do, and that is to make money out of those tokens that are totally zero value in the beginning. But because of the service it becomes valuable.
2839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: April 04, 2018, 03:59:57 PM
Pacman is going to win, I am pretty sure of it. People seem to discredit Pacquiao after his Mayweather defeat, but don't get confused, Pacman is a straight beast.
I also believe that he's going to win this match. They are now underestimating Manny because of his past losses not only with Mayweather but also with his lost to Jeff Horn.
No doubt it will go the distance, as have his last 10 or so fights, but I expect him to win by UD.
Before Manny's matches aren't even reaching the decision, most of his matches are due to T.K.O but now he's getting older and older, his stamina becomes low same as his endurance but still he has the guts.
