I understand your sentiment that ICO won't die as of the moment but its going there and chance of being dead soon is high. Invest to bitcoin if you are wanting to choose any of them. You should prioritize bitcoin and just go next with ethereum. Invest mostly with it and if you have some spare money then start investing to altcoins like ethereum. There are times that you can do swing trades where you can sell few amount of bitcoin and transfer it to ethereum if there are some related events like forks. And after the fork, sell for profit and move back to bitcoin with that amount you made or got from the beginning.

No, I don't think that you will really keep our coins safe and secure. You are just created recently and there's no way for you to have those words. Be cautious if someone will ever use this wallet folks.

I don't have an ICO to share, most of them stop their projects or delayed as the market wasn't favorable to them. If you still insists to go with ICOs you need to be more observant as there are projects that are into collections only but no real application or even don't want to list their coin to an exchange.

Mining projects are one of the projects that goes through a scam. Why you keep on looking for the 'best' mining projects? you alone can start your very own mining farm through GPU's. It's not profitable as of the moment if you will singlely mine ethereum or you have few ASIC miners for bitcoin. But if you'll find a good coin to mine with and you did your research with that coin, its possible you will find a gem with that. The earlier that you mine for those coins, value is likely to increase if you have hardware to mine.

One bounty at a time, I can't manage to have many bounties at the same time. My longest bounty for 2018 was bitcore. I've been part of it and glad to received a good amount of BTX. I've been holding it until now, to the dedicated bounty hunters that are enrolling every part of the bounty are very hardworking. Optimistic as always, yes cryptocurrencies will be better for this year. And going on with this year, after few days of new year the market has been quite stable and bitcoin keeps on moving and trying to break the wall of $4,000. And as for ethereum it is starting to breach out $200 which can eventually happen after the said forks. I'm even more happy to see if ethereum will go $300 - $500 before this month ends. Yes price was cheaper last December and its pumping right now. There's a good small movement for this coin and whoever wants to buy this coin think of it. I don't hold and invested to this coin but I see that you are correct with that if someone bought last December's price he's still into profit at this moment. And for your friend, I think what he did was correct he can diversify the profit and put it to something even better like bitcoin.

There are many factors too be considered before beating bitcoin. If bitcoin was created at the same time with another altcoin, replacement is possible but as op told, you just cant think of an altcoin to replace bitcoin before of being the first cryptocurrency made in the market.
