2961  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is trading *not* gambling? on: March 29, 2017, 01:20:44 PM
Trading needs a lot of effort and some user treats it as a job and gambling is only for players who are looking for fun and entertainment. In making trades, it takes time before you can see the results unlike in gambling you will know either you are win or lose instantly.
I agree with you . gambling game has a purpose as a pleasure. while trading is a job to generate profits.
there are some very strong differences between gambling with trading.
There are many variations of gambling which are probably capable of generating profits for you. Sports betting must be one of them. Many gamblers have proved that sports betting is very much similar to trading.
Unfortunately some people are doing trading like gambling. That is really pathetic. Maybe lack of knowledge about how to do trading is the reason why they are considering trading similar to gambling.
2962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: March 28, 2017, 05:57:39 PM
Well this is true if you do not follow the basic rules
1) To have discipline in life
2) Self control that only this amount to be played if lost, then you will leave the casino
3) Not to borrow any money from any one
Discipline in life is good and i am not sure you can put a gambler in that position. There might be a well maintained disciplined gambler but i am not sure i have met one, self control and discipline are really difficult to find in a gambler, most of them are compulsive and if you can make sure that you can limit your bank roll then it is a good thing ,borrowing money to gamble is the worst thing you can do.If i find it difficult i would seek help rather than crying about it.
In short, if giving up gambling is easy for you then there will be no need to give it up because you might be already doing gambling with discipline and your losses are negligible or probably you are gambling with profits.

Only for the gamblers who are not having discipline and self-control finding gambling as the dangerous one and needs to quit it.

When giving up is not easy for a gambler, definitely he's unfit for gambling industry.
2963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I never made any profits in dice game.. whats is your opinion on: March 28, 2017, 01:03:34 PM
If you never made profits with dice game, it's better to give up with that game. Why not try to focus with other games like sports betting. Try to find your luck there or else you will end up into frustration again. And besides don't treat winnings as profits because in gambling there's no assured profit and maybe just keep on trying or else just stop.
Most of the gamblers are sticking with dice gambling due to its simplicity and instant availability to get start with. Sports betting will be possible only when your favourite type of sports will be happening.

The another reason must be people wants to recover their losses from where they have exactly lost. It is basic human psychology, usually people will not count other profits as recovery for one loss. Yes, gamblers want to recover their losses from dicing on which they have lost earlier.
2964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: March 28, 2017, 12:03:38 PM
If you're talking about sports betting then luck factor is much less compared to other types of gambling. But you have to be strategic, should know the in and outs of the game and even player profiles, and form.
Try to get in the upcoming IPL cricket. You'll learn so many things in one tourney.  Smiley

Yes, luck in sports betting isn't really a big deal that's why most of us are into analysis before betting for a certain team and match. This is what I've been doing for every single bet that I made with sports. Most of the time I'm going with e-sports which I'm more familiar since I'm a certified player of an online game which is now popular, Dota 2.
You cannot completely ignore the role of luck in sports betting, because I have personally faced losses with the sports betting even after hours of analysis on skills about one particular team still out of luck the other team won and I lost.

If my luck would have favoured me on that day, I must have won. On that particular day my sports betting worked similar to what I have experienced in dice gambling.
2965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of wallet do you use? on: March 27, 2017, 04:19:45 PM

It all depends on how long one needs to save their bitcoins. But if one want to do more daily transactions than online wallets are more preferable. I use XAPO online wallet for my daily transactions because they don't have any fee for sending money and also their transactions are quite fast.
Seriously? I thought they are already requiring fees for every transaction like sending and requesting a withdraw hrmmm Huh What is true? Because I already stopped using it for having now a charge. I have some satoshis there that I've collected from their mobile apps maybe I could get it now.
As far as I know, transactions between Xapo wallets are without fees, so it is useful if you do a lot transactions with someone who also owns Xapo. But fees out/in the wallet are actually quite good as well, I think it is around 3k satoshi, which is 10-20 times lower than a "normal" transaction fee recently.
Yes, I personally like to use the mobile wallets, the ones that using an app like Xapo or coinbase, because like that I can use the bitcoin on the go, the other types of wallets are quite vaurnable when it comes to security like the desktop wallet your pc might get infected by malwares or stops working and then you lose all your coins.
2966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hard Fork guide (if it will happen) on: March 27, 2017, 04:07:03 PM
Or there will be dump of BTU coin for bitcoin to rise even more lol
Exchanges already said that they will BTU as an alt coin and now
with current happenings like another recent attack occured in BU nodes
I guess there will a dump and most likely BTU will fail if a hardfork happens. Well let's just wait and see.
It's OK to wait and see, but the problem is that the date and time of the fork is not known.
I'm searching the forum for weeks now, but I haven't found any particular thread about the timing of the fork.
I can have a look at nodes and can compare the charts of BU, Core, etc supporter nodes. but that say nothing about fork and timing.
As I understood, it's not neccessary to do any communication before the fork, because it's just a software update on nodes. So it's possible that you will have only information that the fork has happened (but in that case all the bitcoin news sites will list it immediately)
There is no one out there can foretell you on when the next fork will be, even if they claim to know they are full of it because they have no influence over anything, the only thing we know for sure is there will be a fork maybe not tomorrow maybe not the next week or the next month but it will eventually happen so the best thing to do is save until it happens.
2967  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much BTC is required for trade? on: March 27, 2017, 04:14:39 AM
What is the minimum amount of BTC required to trade on Exchange sites?
Our goal is to earn dollars. At least how much BTC should start with trading on Exchange sites.
My experienced in trading to earn bitcoin was 0.001BTC in yobit and in bittrex too.
But honestly, by getting profit into bitcoin is not that easy to obtain it. Knowledge is the first thing you should know, Actually i found that some of the traders especially traders who are newbie they're depending on luck that the coins they bought will pump and dump.

Small capital will give you small profits and you will never feel that profits and will not be satisfied with the outcome but if you are a newbie then its good to start with a small capital but I still believe that if you want to make some good profits then you should at least start with a capital of 0.1 btc and if price of coin pumps then you can earn good profits with that capital.
The capital is not the actual money it is how well  you know what you are doing, you should really search and educate yourself about the market that you are jumping into it, only then you will be able to make some profit and you can always use that profit to trade again and eventually you can make a good money.
2968  Economy / Economics / Re: How much are you willing to pay in fees for a Bitcoin transaction? on: March 23, 2017, 06:20:18 PM
Maybe $.01. Everyday there is a lot of transaction going on so they can still take a huge amount from that. I know there is a few millions of people now using bitcoin. I bet they get much more than they need and there's no need be greedy.

I hope that 0.01$ will come true but right now it is not going to happen since the problems on bitcoin is still there. If probably BTC and BTU can be harmonized and will solved the blocksize problem on mining then 0.01$ is possible to meet. What we can do for today is just wait for the update between BTC and BTU and how it will affect the bitcoins value and if it can solve the current problems on bitcoin right now.
Actually high bitcoins fees would mean that useless or unwanted transactions would be minimized and that actually will help diminish cause of block size issue.  I guess there are too many unwanted transactions going on and guys if you really want to send many transactions at the same time please learn how to send multiple transactions at the same time in a single tx that really helps.
2969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Is Your Worst Moment in Gambling? on: March 23, 2017, 02:15:37 PM
It would be too hard for any gambler to avoid worst moments once they get addicted and honestly no gambler is realizing how worst it would be until they come out of gambling. Once they come out, they would have lost everything along with those worst moments.
Yes, I just suspect we would have stopped gambling before we would have faced losses. I'm just talking from the point of view how I am gambling and how I am facing losses.

Most commonly the first one or two hours of gambling, I do make profits and after that my worst to moment the coming into play. In the struggle to recover my early profits, and finding my day goes more worst than before. It is a recursive operation and no solution I am finding so far.
2970  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: March 23, 2017, 12:37:23 PM
Bitcoin price is recovering every day ! I knew the price will comes back as what it used to be or near it. Pretty sure it will reach the 1200$ mark again. I am currently waiting this so i can sell my bitcoin for shopping  Grin I saw a dress i would like to get for the spring  Tongue
Although as tempting as it seems to go and sell your bitcoin as soon as the price start going up again, but the wise thing is to just wait, it is predicted that the price is going to spike and go even over $1200 probably to $1500 and then you could consider selling, spring is still at the begging why the rush.
2971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: March 23, 2017, 12:12:18 PM
I thought trading was the only decent way to actually get some BitCoin...

I know people make BTC off signature campaigns and gambling, but not a real source of income. I buy all my BitCoin.
The best simple way of earning money today and also the safest is just to buy and hold bitcoins, many people made a fortune from holding bitcoin last year and selling them when the price reached its peak, holding and selling proves is the least risky because the price of the bitcoin is volatile which means that even if you sell and the price goes up there is no problem the price eventually will go down a bit then you can rebuy it again.
2972  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to do trading? on: March 23, 2017, 06:41:51 AM
Trading platforms normally charge a fee don't they also - unless you find somewhere like localbitcoins which may not charge a fee - yobit.net or bitfinex may also have low rates as well as coinbase.com (which is 1%)?
Price at localbitcoins is way higher than in normal trading platforms so it will be expensive to buy from such p2p based platform. Look at price difference between localbitcoin and coinbase you will find out how much expensive it is to buy from LB.
Yes, that is true, but although the buy prices for the bitcoin in local bitcoin are high that makes them a perfect platform for selling bitcoin, and all the p2p platforms are like that because they usually have a limited amount of bitcoin to sell not like the other platforms which are constantly buying bitcoin, so a good trading opportunity would be buying from coin base or any other trading platform and selling them on local bitcoin.

It's probably also due to the hassle and scams that occur there.
For example, payment has to be handled manually, whereas a company like coinbase will just have a script running for accepting visa payments. There's also a greater risk for trust on both sides for p2p when exchanged have volumes of several million dollars per day being transacted through them.
Well, it is a good thing that the payments are made manually  that way you ensure your own outcome, because you are the one who picks the buyer or the seller and the whole website works on trust so you pick the person with the highest amount of trust and whoever has the most transactions made, besides the escrow works on timing and a proof, so the seller has to give confirmation and upon that the sites releases the payment from the buyer, so basically there is no chance of getting scammed.
2973  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading on: March 23, 2017, 05:07:04 AM
In altcoin trading,is day trading profitable or trading on a long term basis?
if you are an experience trader? " Day trading" is very profitable because altcoins price fluctuations every minute. To me long terms is not even good for bitcoin talk more of altcoins as the price can not face a directions continuously in a month this creates opportunity for day trader.
Agreed, day trading is much fastest in growing profit than anything else in this industry. Though, it has risk involved anyway but that's normal. every minutes there is bouncing price value happened in the trading platform, meaning you will go with flow of motion in the exchange site market, you will act like a bot more quicker than a bot something like that.
Day trading is better way of profiting through bitcoin. The same cannot be used as a profiting source by every user due to time constraints. With trading the goodness is the regular difference occurring with bitcoin which reduces the risk of losing. Also at times preferring altcoins to bitcoin trade too help in profiting high.
So, unlike long term investment and saving bitcoin for months probably years, day trading involves profiting from short term movements of bitcoin market, this can happen from minute to minute or even less, and since bitcoin has less market cap putting in and taking out from it can push the price one way or another, in easy words if someone out their exchanges like 3 btc into cash that is going to make price move.
2974  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: March 23, 2017, 04:23:21 AM
Your best bet would probably to just buy and hold. At some point Bitcoin should be worth a lot more than it is now.

Holding is the best choice when it comes to investment but while you are holding of course there are a lot of time that should be used. As you will have enough spare time for doing some other things like trading. So for me trading is going to be another one to be considered as the best investment and it's already proven by many of us.
We hold because we believe on the potential of bitcoin but holding with only a small amount of investment is not guaranteed that will give us a good return. Of course if we want to succeed, we also need to risk, know how much you can afford invest and that amount should be something that you can afford to lose as well. Holding longer is not holding forever, you need to set a specific timing to sell and you must initiate your plan free from emotional attachment.
I agree, many people find it hard to invest in bitcoin especially with its current price, dumping 1000$ into it is something that makes you think is it worth investing it in, but the thing is about bitcoin is it only pays off if you are patient enough, so when you invest don’t expect to get immediate results, and you need to know what you are doing and know exactly what you are in for.
2975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Shorting profitable??? on: March 23, 2017, 04:02:05 AM
shorting is very risky , increases stress thats why I left margin trading

Profitable? I should say Yes and NO. It depends on your luck and as he said above, it is very risky. In addition that he is on margin trading, the pressure is high for you to gain and here the emotions will come in.

I am also doing short trading but on small amount only, like in Poloniex that the trading movement is very fast you could lose in an instant. But it is exciting also Smiley
Shorting takes skill that depends on the mechanics of the market transition from higher to lower prices, and when it comes to the bitcoin market as in overall it is very hard to predict when the transition are going to happen, and shorting requires perfect timing and devinesive trade mangament so unlees you have a good cap then I don’t recommend doing it.
2976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: March 22, 2017, 05:36:48 PM

I want to generate a constant monthly gain. Is it possible to do this by bitcoin trading? So, can I just do this by dealing with BTC trading?
Are there any people among us who can make a living by trading in BTC?
in trading we would not always make a profit if only rely on trading for the cost of living was very difficult and you have to be fought. but if you have long experience in trading and allows you to get more profits you could finance your life just by trading.
Someone say to me that, in trading anything will be possible. Yeah, We can finance our life just with trading.
It's because in trading we can get profit up to 30-50% per month. I believe it, especially if we trade altcoin.
Do not believe into anyone else words until you yourself experience profits from trading. The level of profits you have mentioned only will be possible after years of dedicated learning and practice not just for beginners. But altcoin trading will not be that much profitable in my view as its market is highly dominated by devs and manipulators.
2977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Planned or impulsive gambling? on: March 22, 2017, 03:27:30 PM
Planning for gambling is the right way of gambling, I agree but only till you plan for other things too.
If you are planning only for gambling and if your start neglecting your other responsibilities then there will be no meaning of planning for gambling.

That will slowly make you to move towards impulsive mode of gambling. In my opinion impulsive gambling must be very dangerous, we should avoid that at any cost.
When I go for gambling just for entertainment then how I can schedule for my gambling ?
Only whenever I need and I feel to gamble, I will go for it. I'm not seeing any dangers in this is, I believe I will not look for going gambling more often.

So far, with this I am not finding any wrong with my impulsive gambling habits. My entertainment should be available for me when I need and it should not be like my routine job.
2978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Win using martingale system? on: March 22, 2017, 01:12:53 PM
No system can secure a win. There is only luck. Of coarse the casino doesn't want you to be lucky but it is easily done just people often wonder then play till they lose everything and cry after. That is how the casino uses their strategy to get their lost money back.

That's true no strategy or method can be helpful against the house. I had very bad experience by using martingale strategy that is worst ever. So there is very simple method accept the lose and forget about this. This is best way to reduce to lose in future.
If you lose on playing gambling on using martingale then move on and try to catch up the loses that it made since these methods doesnt really work at all specially on longer runs.It might work for some other time but it would depend on the luck and how long it could able to sustain because house will definitely beat you up on the end and wiping out the bank roll you do have.
I am not finding any reasons why martingale will fail in long run, it will be working same for both short run as well for long run. Only our luck will be the deciding factors with martingale strategy. You cannot do anything when you will be facing continuous losing streaks. Because this is how martingale will work.

Believing on martingale to bring your luck is complete foolishness. Martingale will get you chances to find your profits but only with the help of your luck, nothing more or nothing less.
2979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: March 22, 2017, 11:49:22 AM
if you really want the fastest outcome then dice should be your choice , you don't have to wait even for 5 secs but within a sec! bitsler claimed as the fastest one. slots machine only for those people who want to chase for a super big winning prize like 100 times or even 10,000 times!
Yes, bitsler is the fastest dice gambling house with world class support and huge numbers of random giveaways.

The prime reason, I have come across why people are loving slot games must be its graphical interpretations. Moreover slot games are making people to recall their early day's lucky vending machines. When physiological bonds wok for them, they just keep their tries with known methods, no surprises.
2980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Planned or impulsive gambling? on: March 21, 2017, 08:04:19 PM
Hi guys!
I was always curious if the most of the gamblers have "scheduled" their gambling time or you just go gambling whenever you're in the mood.
What about you? Is there any specific time you gamble? Week(ends) days? Or just randomly spread ?
Let us know Wink
For me its both kinds, I mean when I have some sports in sight like I know a match would be played between Federer and Djokovic then I would plan my gambling but when I have no sports in sight I just gamble randomly with dice and that really is random.
Though sports betting has not given me enormous profits but believe me, its much better than dice.
