Admins:

Please delete my account. The option to delete account seems to be only visible to admins. Thank you.

As stated above. You need to manage your account. Delete all your posts, (all 1 of them?). Then change your email and password to a long one. That's it.

If you want to get rid of your account I think you will have to delete your posts one by one, then set your password to an impossibly long one and forget it.

I have not done well with gold in the past year. I still like it and think it is a great hedge against a catastrophic stock market decline, but I'm down like $40 an Oz.  Embarrassed

I have to agree with the OP. This is very unethical to have insisted on a bunch of laws then quit and offer yourself as a way to navigate the same laws. It happens a lot in government, but there really should be a rule about waiting two years or so.
It is very bad in the military. Countless officers nearing retirement help contractors to get at tax payer money under the assumption that they will be given a "job" when they leave the military.

The fight against opiates is about to get far more complicated. In the future you will not need a connection in Afghanistan or at a pharmaceutical plant, you will be able to make it t home.  Shocked

Canada tried this. They held a contest called the "Mint Chip Challenge". They asked "What can you do with Mint Chip?". The number one answer was "Buy Bitcoins". So they canceled the contest and picked a runner up. Roll Eyes

lol, yeah, that is an apt analogy.
They just can't seem to help themselves. They must cut that goose open and see where the golden eggs come from.

Interesting stuff. Thanks for the responses. I can see how it is hard to instruct a computer what to do when playing a human mind.

2976  Economy / Gambling / Will AI end online poker? on: May 21, 2015, 03:44:26 PM
I saw a thing in the news about a recent contest pitting computer AI against professional poker players. The people won, but just barely. Some of the payers were saying that they thought AI could get so good that it would end online poker. They argued that in the future bots will almost guarantee a win and humans would be at such a disadvantage that it would not be worth the gamble. Is that right? I don't know much about poker, but do you think this would happen?

Here it is in the L.A. Times

Here is a gun market I have shopped at in Nizwa Oman. Lots of cool old guns, but good luck getting them home. They like Enfields, Sharps rifles, and other old bolt guns. Some of them have been worked on for generations. They have cool silver work and camel bone inlay. Real works of art.

Agian.. Religion.. The root of a lot of bad stuff.

Whats wrong with gay people?
Why cant you accept that one man loves another man?
Or one woman loves another woman.

Its none of your business.

Do your job (Bake) and collect the cash.
Shallow minded people..
There is no problem with gay people. But there is a problem with some retarded individuals who are trying to poke everybody around. You shouldn't force muslim to eat the pork, for example... Just like you shouldn't force christians to reject their beliefs. When you know that some people won't accept you then leave them alone. It's the real meaning of tolerance.
The reason they were in court is because you can't start a business and then decide not to serve some people. What if the sign on the door said "No dogs or Christians allowed"?
What an utter rubbish... %)

My business is my private property. Hell, IT'S MINE. Do you know what is the meaning of private property? In short, this means that I can do whatever I want. Most of private enterprises reserve the right of refusing to serve some individual without any further explanations. It's usually declared in the Terms of Service. And it's not my problem if you don't like it. You are free to go somewhere else, but you have no right to tell me what should I do. Just like I have no right to tell you what should you do.
You may disagree, but it is the law and that is why they are in court.
