You can keep the btc private, You can mine to a virgin btc address via nicehash.

And as long as you do not cash it in it is private.

If you want cash for it and privacy along with that good luck. I would argue that if that were possible the governments of the world would end it.

The do not mind that it can be moved from address to address around the world. They do mind if you convert it to cash on the sneak.

I would argue it was never designed for that purpose.

+1
I would argue that KYC is designed to make Bitcoin assets end-to-end traceable
302  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price suddenly dropped from $ 31K on: June 12, 2022, 12:00:09 AM
During the first week of June, we saw a slight rebound in bitcoin as well as the market. This morning, bitcoin unexpectedly dropped from 31k$ to 29k$.

and today the price simply dropped to $28200 honestly we are living in dark days, with this fall it is weakening the support that is at $28000 and if it breaks this support then we will see a big bloodbath that will take us to $26000 to $24000 in a short time and the trend could take us to $20,000, I'm afraid that we will see $20,000 again because that would make me have little daily volume to trade but at the same time it would be a good opportunity to buy bitcoin

As of now, I have yet to find an answer regarding bitcoin's sudden drop in price.

just join this:

1 - Russian-Ukraine war (sanctions)

2 - Luna (the great disaster)

so there are good reasons to make the price drop a lot

And both have nothing to do with Bitcoin imo...
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PoS vs PoW later this year on: June 11, 2022, 07:46:40 PM
Ethereum is going down even harder than before. It seems like mostly of people are starting to distrust this token. Please watch it again. moving to the POS didn't mean if that would be good for ethereum. There are so many speculations if the price will be coming back again to the 3 digits. It's too early to say that ethereum may be doubled after pos will be fully completed. It may go down to the 1k rate soon. Ethereum just still remain hybrid rather than fully moving to the POS

ETH 2.0 is going to have less tokens and more utility which in my books is profit.

1. Ethereum Ropsten testnet has been successful.
2. Next is Sepolia Testnet.
3. Continue to Goerli Testnet.

What happens next for Ethereum Bullish or will it keep crashing down??

I think it's bullish unless the merge fails. But I have great faith in the devs...

Putin yields incredible power over the United States of America.

  • He can interfere with its elections and make someone become president.
  • He can invoke a "Putin tax" (as Biden calls it) on gas prices at the pump.
  • He can cause inflation to reach near 10% all by himself.

BUT he cannot win a war against Ukraine.

Weird huh?

Russia is good at controlling the data space.
Putin just mindfucked himself into thinking his army was prepared and Ukraine wanted to be liberated.
305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price is falling? on: June 11, 2022, 06:59:34 PM
I have been thinking of the possible reasons of the bitcoin falling down. Since I am not an expert on the Currency I cannot predict or give any reason. That is why I want to know the reasons. Please if anyone can tell me I will appreciate. Thanks.
Bitcoin has fallen, according to Technical Analysis, indeed the price has reached new ATH and it must undergo a correction,
otherwise there will be a bubble like 2017-2018, where experts say BItcoin is a bubble, but now Bitcoin is only experiencing a correction,
I'm sure because 2017- 2018 is very different from 2022

This is indeed the cycle. Bitcoin has never been a bubble.
306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sideways huh! on: June 11, 2022, 06:56:57 PM
It's not even a true sideways - crab market but an overall downtrend with some resistance hence you will see short-term of price stabilizing. But yes, overall it will be going down further, breaking the last low price and staying at that range. Like most people in this thread, I don't think it even going back to $40k at this point.

The bitcoin price is not pumping and not even dumping. It's moving sideways with more pressure towards the downside. I do not know how long bitcoin will be able to keep this support before it breaks down. At the moment, everyone's sentiment is bearish and I guess people are shortening bitcoins. How about bitcoin whales move the price upwards towards 40K to surprise everyone and liquidate everyone who is shorting bitcoin. Something unexpected might happen here.

It's the tide turning.
Shorting now is a recipe for assimilation.
The whales are shaking out the weak hands before it goes boom...
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for June on: June 11, 2022, 06:51:35 PM
Aaand it's gone.  :/  1700 breached yesterday, was hoping it would go back above it today, but no...  Went for the worse outcome and dropped some more to a daily low of 1545 and looks likely it's staying around that range with some possbility it could go down more over the next weeks.  This market is def spooked and it's only getting worse.  Stay safe guys.  Pick your spots when everything is a bit less volatle.
Fear/bearish market is the worse. A small change in the stock market with enough bad news can crash the crypto market right away. Just 10 days in and we've broken the $1500 price range. I vote yes, ETH will go down, over the 1700 - 1800 range but didn't expect it was this fast.

It's actually the best. Only problem is wanting instant gratification and greed.
Even if ETH goes down more, the fundamentals and second highest marketcap say it will survive and recover.
Returning to $4800 is a pretty low risk bet and a minimum 3X profit in at most 4 years.
If coin creation is capped by 90% after the merge it's another 8X on top making a 24X profit possible.
308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: June 11, 2022, 06:43:50 PM
When it was still a newbie and tried investing with a small value and then profit, it would usually increase the number of investments and even sell anything to investment, I also did that, initially invest $ 100 then profit more than 30% in 4 months ago I added more $ 500 and so on, And stop investing when I saw the price of drops and large profits that I got back again and in total only profit was around $ 120 in 8 months.

I think I've had comparable investing experiences. Making good money but then getting caught on the big red candles.

Then getting losses on an exchange that got hacked.

After a while I went for the cold wallet HODL-n-accumulate non-optimal profit model. It has served me well.

It's funny how the US is at the top of this list. It's because they have a big ego problem.

Euro zone has 8.1%
China has 2.1%
And many more countries...

Imagine actually giving a picture of reality  Wink
You can be right. But you see, I didn't say it myself, I just spread the word to you. I also gave the news link. There I reported what they were saying. However, I have some mistakes, I had to verify the veracity of this news before. I shared it with you without any verification. I realized my mistake. But I also shared with you what they said. So if they are wrong you can tell them.

No problem but I just have a habit of fact checking Smiley
I'm no better than you...

In this age of misinformation I just try to evaluate claims that seem "odd"
310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will Hit over 700% or $250k is this possible? on: June 11, 2022, 05:04:43 PM
I'm responding to this topic, because I know vividly that bitcoin price is rotational and many people speculate about the Bitcoin price. so on my own it is impossible that bitcoin price or value will you reach to 250k this year because starting from last year December and earlier this year 2023 bitcoin price has been fluctuating in price. And if I may say the price please speed up 250k it can't be 2025 but above 2025.

Tesla and Amazon disagree  Tongue
311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 11, 2022, 05:02:00 PM

It is not that funny anymore. Peeps starting to ask uncomfortable questions. Why would they have to elect US President if Putin decides what is the price of gas at the pump in the US.

US imports 8.47M barrels per day
Only a max of 600K (average of 200K) from Russia since 2011

(Source eia.gov)

Ergo Putin doesn't determine the price. Probably oil companies filling their pockets and blaming Putin.
It's called capitalism...
312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will Hit over 700% or $250k is this possible? on: June 11, 2022, 04:02:31 PM
Take a look at the graph and $250k becomes a possibility in 2024 and inevitable in 2034

I'm going with the typical "Past performance is not indicative of future results" on this one. Certain patterns like this one (and like S2F) can occur, but will break at some point; 'when' is the question.

But yea — not saying that it's impossible, but I really wouldn't bet on it.

+1 because there's currently a lot of disruptions in the world causing patterns to be broken or delayed etc.

314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this the end for NFTs? on: June 11, 2022, 03:37:35 PM
NFT was the talk of 2021. Now if we look at floor prices for all popular collections https://www.coingecko.com/en/nft other than BAYC there is nothing that performs well.
Cryptopunks are down big. Same for azuki, moonbird, coolcats. Collectors are now looking for good fundamentals, but how can NFT give it? Discuss?

NFTs were always just a pyramid scam.  Terrible art so don't give me that.  People bought in hopes they could sell it higher that's all.  They literally are the beanie babies of crypto.  Will be a funny story to tell in about 5 years that's about it.  Now the use of nfts will expand and have a use case but these "art projects" are all ways for the creators to get rich that's all.

NFTs == Dutch tulip crisis 🌷
315  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin scenario crashing to $20.000 - $23.000 on: June 11, 2022, 03:29:53 PM
It is possible that the bitcoin price scenario will drop to the $20k-$23k area which is likely to occur in the next few weeks, especially until now bitcoin has not been able to lift its price back, where currently the bitcoin price is traded in the $28k-29k area.

And what is your fundamental explanation why Bitcoin drops down to that level in a few weeks? Coz what I'm seeing is the continued buying and selling that causes Bitcoin price to stay within the 28k-$30k region. Though there is always a possibility as nobody can predict accurately, but looking at the price actions and market sentiments currently, I don't think it would fall below that level as soon as the coming weeks.

Well, it's been so long since the bear market started so there's a possibility that it might fall for that price soon although, no one knows when it would happen but I am certain that it will go at that level soon. What we could just do is to follow most of the prediction and expect it will happen since we can't control the outcome no matter what we do.

And looking at how the price slowly dropping that it almost hit $27k is really a proof that it's most likely going to drop at that price. It just needs a single FUD and you can expect that a dump will certainly go straight to that price.

This kind of mentality will bite you in the backside. This is called weak hands.

The current sideways movement means there is a balance in market driving forces.
When you go from a bear market into a prolonged sideways movement that indicates the tide is changing.
It is also called the is the "accumulation" phase. Whales are playing the Market shaking out weak hands.
And when the tide has changed we will be in a bull market...

After being here for way too long I know that FUD is a great bullish indicator and FOMO is a bearish signal.
316  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will Hit over 700% or $250k is this possible? on: June 11, 2022, 03:15:32 PM
Definitely, this kind of price range will come to a realization, and it looks like he is expecting far longer time for the price to go that range.
Quote
“Investors see it as a complement to gold. That’s the short version. Bitcoin has limited supply; the supply is visible. And it’s very hard, almost impossible, to change that. Bitcoin will go to half the market cap of gold, or $250,000 a Bitcoin, but that could take decades. It’s hard to put a timeframe on it.”

But in consideration of the halving, I greatly agree with Lucius given the logic and calculation of the price trend of Bitcoin,  the possible price range of Bitcoin after 2 halvings (2028/29) would possibly hit more than $250k.

Take a look at the graph and $250k becomes a possibility in 2024 and inevitable in 2034

317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will Hit over 700% or $250k is this possible? on: June 11, 2022, 02:59:37 PM
Yes it's very possible but it might only come in 2024

You really make it sound like 2024 is far away. If anything, don't you think that $250k in merely 2 years is too much of a stretch? Because it's highly likely to take more years than that lol.

Take a look at the graph and $250k becomes a possibility in 2024 and inevitable in 2034

Seems to me, what the markets need, is a mass liquidation event.........

The market only always needs a mega pump....

Hmmmm, I dunno bro, I think to get the pump, we may need to crush a load of longs, then the market can go and crush the shorts.

BTC wise, looking at those longs on finex... they surely need culling at some point.

It is the sideeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeways I fear the most... that is the worst of the worst.

+1 Sideways sucks the most

Dunno, for traders maybe yes. For hodlers, down is most painful...  Cool

I'm a hodler since 2013 and am totally numb to downtrend  Cool
But this sideways sucks. Get this rollercoaster back in motion  Grin
319  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price is falling? on: June 11, 2022, 02:45:29 PM
Because you aren't buying  Grin
Grin

Actually, people are pathetic. They say it's high right now don't buy it but when it's already decreased by more than 50% they still got the lines but they wouldn't buy because it will nosedive at its finest. When will others get learn in this market?

Exactly, this isn't the time to optimize your buys.
Once this sucker goes 100k+ you want to be onboard and that extra 10-20% will be irrelevant.

Most of these suckers will wake up one day after Bitcoin shoots up 20k and they will be waiting for it to come down again which it won't.
